Hosea 5
1 “Listen, you priests! And you [other] Israeli people, you also pay attention! And you who are members of the king’s family, [you also need to] listen, because [I am going to] judge you! Your [worshiping idols] has been [like] [MET] a trap for [the people at] Mizpah [town]; it has been [like][MET] a net spread out [to catch people] at Tabor [Mountain].
“हे पुरोहितो, यह बात सुनो! हे इस्राएलियो, ध्यान दो! राज घरानो, सुनो! यह न्याय तुम्हारे विरुद्ध है: तुम मिज़पाह में एक फंदा बन गये हो, ताबोर में बिछाये गये एक जाल हो.
2 You have done many evil things, so I will punish all of you.
विद्रोहियों ने घोर नरसंहार किया है, मैं उन सबको अनुशासित करूंगा.
3 I know [everything about the people of] Israel; nothing that they have done is hidden from me. Because [the people of] Israel have given themselves [to worshiping idols] like [MET] prostitutes [give themselves to the men they sleep with], they have become unacceptable to me.
मैं एफ्राईम के बारे में सब कुछ जानता हूं; इस्राएल की बात मुझसे छिपी नहीं है. हे एफ्राईम, तुम वेश्यावृत्ति में लिप्त हो; इस्राएल भ्रष्ट हो गया है.
4 Because they [like to do evil] things, they will not return to [me], their God. Like prostitutes [who have abandoned their husbands] [MET], they have [IDM] abandoned [MET] me; they do not [even] know me, Yahweh.
“उनके काम उन्हें अपने परमेश्वर की ओर लौटने नहीं देते. वेश्यावृत्ति की आत्मा उनके दिल में है; वे याहवेह को नहीं मानते हैं.
5 [It is as though] their being proud testifies [PRS] against them. The sins that [the people of] Israel have committed [are like a heavy load that] causes them to stumble, and [the people of] Judah stumble with them.
इस्राएल का घमंड उसी के विरुद्ध गवाही देता है; इस्राएली, और तो और एफ्राईम भी अपने पापों में लड़खड़ाते हैं; यहूदिया भी उनके साथ लड़खड़ाता है.
6 They will come to worship [me], Yahweh, bringing their herds of sheep and cattle, but they will not [be able to] find me, because I have abandoned them.
जब वे अपनी भेड़-बकरी और गाय-बैल के झुंड को लेकर याहवेह की खोज में जाते हैं, तो याहवेह उन्हें नहीं मिलते हैं; क्योंकि उन्होंने अपने आपको उनसे अलग कर लिया है.
7 They have abandoned me; and their children do not belong to me [MET]. So [they will not be able to celebrate their festivals at] the new moons [because I] will destroy them and [the crops in] their fields.
उन्होंने याहवेह के साथ विश्वासघात किया है; वे अवैध बच्चे पैदा करते हैं. जब वे नये चांद के भोज का उत्सव मनाएंगे, तो वह उनके खेतों को निगल जाएगा.
8 Blow the [rams’] horns in Gibeah [town] [and blow] the trumpets in Ramah [town]! Warn [the people at] Beth-Aven [town]; you warriors of the tribe of Benjamin, lead the troops [into the battle].
“गिबियाह नगर में तुरही बजाओ, रामाह नगर में नरसिंगा फूंको. बेथ-आवेन में युद्ध की घोषणा ऊंची आवाज में करो; हे बिन्यामिन, हमारी अगुवाई करो.
9 Israel will be ruined on the day that [I] destroy them. What I am telling to the tribes of Israel will certainly [happen].
हिसाब करने के दिन एफ्राईम बेकार हो जाएगा. इस्राएल के गोत्रों के बीच मैं उसी बात की घोषणा करूंगा, जिसका होना निश्चित है.
10 [Because] the leaders of Judah [seized some land that belonged to Israel], they are like [SIM] those who move boundary markers [to get more land for themselves]; [so] I will punish them severely [MET].
यहूदिया के अगुए उनके जैसे हैं जो सीमा के पत्थरों को हटाते हैं. उन पर मैं अपना कोप पानी के बाढ़ की तरह उंडेलूंगा.
11 And [the people of] Israel will suffer greatly when I punish them, because they are [very] determined to worship idols.
एफ्राईम सताया जाता है, न्याय में कुचला गया है, क्योंकि उसने मूर्तियों के पीछे जाने की ठानी है.
12 I will destroy [the people of] Israel like [SIM] ([larvae of] moths/cockroaches) destroy wool, and I will cause [the people of] Judah to be like [SIM] rotten wood.
मैं एफ्राईम के लिए कीड़े के समान, और यहूदाह के लोगों के लिए एक सड़न के जैसा हूं.
13 When [the leaders of] Israel and Judah saw that the people were suffering because of what [their enemies were doing to them] [MET], they sent [messages] to the great King of Assyria requesting [his help]. But he cannot help you; he cannot cause you to stop suffering, [because I am the one who is punishing Israel and Judah].
“जब एफ्राईम ने अपनी बीमारी, और यहूदिया ने अपने घाव को देखा, तब एफ्राईम अश्शूर की तरफ गया, और बड़े राजा से सहायता की याचना की. परंतु वह तुम्हें न तो चंगा कर सकता है, और न ही तुम्हारे घावों को ठीक कर सकता है.
14 I will become like [SIM] a lion [DOU] to both nations; I will [attack them and] tear them to pieces. I will drag them away, and no one will [be able to] rescue them.
क्योंकि एफ्राईम के लिए मैं एक सिंह के जैसा, और यहूदाह के लिए एक बड़े सिंह के जैसा हो जाऊंगा. मैं उन्हें फाड़कर टुकड़े-टुकड़े कर दूंगा और चला जाऊंगा; मैं उन्हें उठाकर ले जाऊंगा, और उन्हें छुड़ाने वाला कोई न होगा.
15 [After that], I will return to my place [in heaven] until they admit that they have sinned [MTY] and return to me; when they will experience [many] troubles, they will request me [to help them].”
जब तक वे अपने अपराध को मान नहीं लेते और मेरी ओर लौट नहीं आते मैं अपने स्थान में नहीं लौटूंगा; अपनी दुर्गति के समय वे मन लगाकर मेरी खोज करेंगे.”
