Genesis 5
1 Here is a list of the descendants of Adam. When God created humans, he caused them to be like him in many ways.

2 He created one man and one woman. He blessed them, and on the day that he created them, he called them ‘human beings’.

3 When Adam was 130 years old, he became the father of a son who [grew up to] be just like him. That was the son he named Seth.
Şi Adam a trăit o sută treizeci de ani şi a născut un fiu în propria lui asemănare, după chipul lui, şi i-a pus numele Set;
4 After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 more years, and during those years he became the father of other sons and daughters.
Şi zilele lui Adam, după ce a născut pe Set, au fost de opt sute de ani; şi a născut fii şi fiice;
5 Adam lived 930 years altogether, and then he died.
Şi toate zilele pe care Adam le-a trăit au fost nouă sute treizeci de ani; şi a murit.
6 When Seth was 105 years old, he became the father of Enosh.
Şi Set a trăit o sută cinci ani şi a născut pe Enos;
7 After Enosh was born, Seth lived 807 more years, and became the father of other sons and daughters.
Şi Set a trăit, după ce a născut pe Enos, opt sute şapte ani; şi a născut fii şi fiice;
8 Seth lived 912 years altogether, and then he died.
Şi toate zilele lui Set au fost nouă sute doisprezece ani; şi a murit.
9 When Enosh was 90 years old, he became the father of Kenan.
Şi Enos a trăit nouăzeci de ani şi a născut pe Cainan;
10 After Kenan was born, Enosh lived 815 more years and became the father of other sons and daughters.

11 Enosh lived 905 years altogether, and then he died.

12 When Kenan was 70 years old, he became the father of Mahalalel.
Şi Cainan a trăit şaptezeci de ani şi a născut pe Mahalaleel;
13 After Mahalalel was born, Kenan lived 840 more years and became the father of other sons and daughters.

14 Kenan lived 910 years altogether, and then he died.
Şi toate zilele lui Cainan au fost nouă sute zece ani; şi a murit.
15 When Mahalalel was 65 years old, he became the father of Jared.
Şi Mahalaleel a trăit şaizeci şi cinci de ani şi a născut pe Iared;
16 After Jared was born, Mahalalel lived 830 more years and became the father of other sons and daughters.

17 Mahalalel lived 895 years altogether, and then he died.
Şi toate zilele lui Mahalaleel au fost opt sute nouăzeci şi cinci de ani; şi a murit.
18 When Jared was 162 years old, he became the father of Enoch.
Şi Iared a trăit o sută şaizeci şi doi de ani şi a născut pe Enoh;
19 Jared lived 800 years after Enoch was born, and he became the father of other sons and daughters.
Şi Iared a trăit după ce a născut pe Enoh, opt sute de ani; şi a născut fii şi fiice;
20 Jared lived 962 years altogether, and then he died.
Şi toate zilele lui Iared au fost nouă sute şaizeci şi doi de ani; şi a murit.
21 When Enoch was 65 years old, he became the father of Methuselah.
Şi Enoh a trăit şaizeci şi cinci de ani şi a născut pe Metusala;
22 Enoch lived in close fellowship with God for 300 years after Methuselah was born, and he became the father of other sons and daughters.
Şi Enoh a umblat cu Dumnezeu, după ce a născut pe Metusala, trei sute de ani; şi a născut fii şi fiice;
23 Enoch lived 365 years altogether in close fellowship with God.
Şi toate zilele lui Enoh au fost trei sute şaizeci şi cinci de ani;
24 Then one day he disappeared, because God took him away [to be with him in heaven].
Şi Enoh a umblat cu Dumnezeu: şi nu a mai fost, pentru că Dumnezeu l-a luat.
25 When Methuselah was 187 years old, he became the father of Lamech.
Şi Metusala a trăit o sută optzeci şi şapte de ani şi a născut pe Lameh;
26 Methuselah lived 782 years after Lamech was born, and became the father of other sons and daughters.
Şi Metusala a trăit, după ce a născut pe Lameh, şapte sute optzeci şi doi de ani; şi a născut fii şi fiice;
27 Methuselah lived 969 years altogether, and then he died.
Şi toate zilele lui Metusala au fost nouă sute şaizeci şi nouă de ani; şi a murit.
28 When Lamech was 182 years old, he became the father of a son,
Şi Lameh a trăit o sută optzeci şi doi de ani şi a născut un fiu;
29 whom he named Noah, [which sounds like the Hebrew word that means ‘relief’], because he said, “He will bring us relief from all the hard work we have been doing to produce food from the ground that Yahweh cursed.”
Şi i-a pus numele Noe, spunând: Acesta ne va mângâia pentru lucrarea noastră şi osteneala mâinilor noastre, din cauza pământului pe care Dumnezeu l-a blestemat.
30 Lamech lived 595 years after Noah was born and became the father of other sons and daughters.

31 Lamech lived 777 years altogether, and then he died.
Şi toate zilele lui Lameh au fost şapte sute şaptezeci şi şapte de ani; şi a murit.
32 When Noah was 500 years old, he became the father of a son whom he named Shem. Later he became the father of another son whom he named Ham, and later he became the father of another son whom he named Japheth.
Şi Noe a fost în vârstă de cinci sute de ani; şi Noe a născut pe Sem, Ham şi Iafet.
