Genesis 5
1 Here is a list of the descendants of Adam. When God created humans, he caused them to be like him in many ways.

2 He created one man and one woman. He blessed them, and on the day that he created them, he called them ‘human beings’.
Il les créa mâle et femelle, et les bénit et leur donna le nom a d'homme lors de leur création.
3 When Adam was 130 years old, he became the father of a son who [grew up to] be just like him. That was the son he named Seth.
Et Adam ayant vécu cent trente ans engendra [un fils] de sa ressemblance, à son image, et lui donna le nom de Seth.
4 After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 more years, and during those years he became the father of other sons and daughters.
Et les jours d'Adam après la naissance de Seth, furent de huit cents ans; et il engendra des fils et des filles.
5 Adam lived 930 years altogether, and then he died.
Et tout le temps que vécut Adam fut de neuf cent trente ans, puis il mourut.
6 When Seth was 105 years old, he became the father of Enosh.
Et Seth ayant vécu cent cinq ans engendra Enos.
7 After Enosh was born, Seth lived 807 more years, and became the father of other sons and daughters.
Et après la naissance d'Enos, Seth vécut huit cent-sept ans; et il engendra des fils et des filles.
8 Seth lived 912 years altogether, and then he died.
Et tous les jours de Seth furent neuf cent douze ans, puis il mourut.
9 When Enosh was 90 years old, he became the father of Kenan.
Et Enos ayant vécu quatre-vingt-dix ans engendra Keinan.
10 After Kenan was born, Enosh lived 815 more years and became the father of other sons and daughters.
Et après la naissance de Keinan, Enos vécut huit cent quinze ans; et il engendra des fils et des filles.
11 Enosh lived 905 years altogether, and then he died.
Et tous les jours d'Enos furent neuf cent-cinq ans; puis il mourut.
12 When Kenan was 70 years old, he became the father of Mahalalel.
Et Keinan ayant vécu soixante-dix ans engendra Mahalaleël.
13 After Mahalalel was born, Kenan lived 840 more years and became the father of other sons and daughters.
Et après la naissance de Mahalaleël, Keinan vécut huit cent quarante ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles.
14 Kenan lived 910 years altogether, and then he died.
Et tous les jours de Keinan furent neuf cent-dix ans, puis il mourut.
15 When Mahalalel was 65 years old, he became the father of Jared.
Et Mahalaleël ayant vécu soixante-cinq ans engendra Jared.
16 After Jared was born, Mahalalel lived 830 more years and became the father of other sons and daughters.
Et après la naissance de Jared, Mahalaleël vécut huit cent trente ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles.
17 Mahalalel lived 895 years altogether, and then he died.
Et tous les jours de Mahalaleël furent huit cent quatre-vingt-quinze ans, puis il mourut.
18 When Jared was 162 years old, he became the father of Enoch.
Et Jared ayant vécu cent soixante-deux ans engendra Henoch.
19 Jared lived 800 years after Enoch was born, and he became the father of other sons and daughters.
Et après la naissance de Henoch, Jared vécut huit cents ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles.
20 Jared lived 962 years altogether, and then he died.
Et tous les jours de Jared furent neuf cent soixante-deux ans, puis il mourut.
21 When Enoch was 65 years old, he became the father of Methuselah.
Et Henoch ayant vécu soixante-cinq ans engendra Methusalah.
22 Enoch lived in close fellowship with God for 300 years after Methuselah was born, and he became the father of other sons and daughters.
Et après la naissance de Methusalah, Henoch marcha avec Dieu trois cents ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles.
23 Enoch lived 365 years altogether in close fellowship with God.
Et tous les jours de Henoch furent trois cent soixante-cinq ans.
24 Then one day he disappeared, because God took him away [to be with him in heaven].
Et Henoch marcha avec Dieu, et il disparut, parce que Dieu le prit.
25 When Methuselah was 187 years old, he became the father of Lamech.
Et Methusalah ayant vécu cent quatre-vingt-sept ans engendra Lémech, et après la naissance de Lémech,
26 Methuselah lived 782 years after Lamech was born, and became the father of other sons and daughters.
Methusalah vécut sept cent quatre-vingt-deux ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles.
27 Methuselah lived 969 years altogether, and then he died.
Et tous les jours de Methusalah furent neuf cent soixante-neuf ans, puis il mourut.
28 When Lamech was 182 years old, he became the father of a son,
Et Lémech ayant vécu cent quatre-vingt-deux ans engendra un fils.
29 whom he named Noah, [which sounds like the Hebrew word that means ‘relief’], because he said, “He will bring us relief from all the hard work we have been doing to produce food from the ground that Yahweh cursed.”
Et il lui donna le nom de Noé en disant: Celui-ci nous consolera du pénible labeur de nos mains, qui procède de la terre que l'Éternel a maudite.
30 Lamech lived 595 years after Noah was born and became the father of other sons and daughters.
Et après la naissance de Noé, Lémech vécut cinq cent quatre-vingt-quinze ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles.
31 Lamech lived 777 years altogether, and then he died.
Et tous les jours de Lémech furent sept cent soixante-dix-sept ans, puis il mourut.
32 When Noah was 500 years old, he became the father of a son whom he named Shem. Later he became the father of another son whom he named Ham, and later he became the father of another son whom he named Japheth.
Et Noé étant âgé de cinq cents ans engendra Sem, Cham et Japheth.
