Ezekiel 43
1 Then [in the vision] the man brought me to the entrance on the east side.
Il me conduisit à la porte, à la porte qui était du côté de l’orient.
2 Suddenly I saw the glory/brightness of the God of Israel coming from the east. The sound of his coming was like the roar of a rushing river, and all that area shone with his glory.
Et voici, la gloire du Dieu d’Israël s’avançait de l’orient. Sa voix était pareille au bruit des grandes eaux, et la terre resplendissait de sa gloire.
3 What I saw in this vision was like what I saw in the visions that I had seen [previously, first] by the Kebar River and [later] when God came to destroy Jerusalem. I prostrated myself on the ground.
Cette vision était semblable à celle que j’avais eue lorsque j’étais venu pour détruire la ville; et ces visions étaient semblables à celle que j’avais eue près du fleuve du Kebar. Et je tombai sur ma face.
4 The glory of Yahweh entered the temple through the east entrance.
La gloire de l’Éternel entra dans la maison par la porte qui était du côté de l’orient.
5 Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner courtyard, and the glory of Yahweh filled the temple.
Alors, l’esprit m’enleva et me transporta dans le parvis intérieur. Et voici, la gloire de l’Éternel remplissait la maison.
6 [Then] while the man was standing beside me, I heard someone speak to me from inside the temple.
J’entendis quelqu’un qui me parlait depuis la maison, et un homme se tenait près de moi.
7 He said, “You human, this is [my temple], the place [I sit on] my throne and where I rest my feet. This is where I will live with the Israeli people forever. The Israeli people and their kings will never again disgrace me [SYN] by worshiping other gods [MET] at the shrines on their hilltops, or by [building] monuments to honor their kings who have died.
Il me dit: Fils de l’homme, c’est ici le lieu de mon trône, le lieu où je poserai la plante de mes pieds; j’y habiterai éternellement au milieu des enfants d’Israël. La maison d’Israël et ses rois ne souilleront plus mon saint nom par leurs prostitutions et par les cadavres de leurs rois sur leurs hauts lieux.
8 They placed their altars near mine, and the doorposts of their [temples] were next to the doorposts of my [temple]. There was only a wall between them. And they disgraced me by the detestable things that they did. So, being very angry with them, I got rid of them.
Ils mettaient leur seuil près de mon seuil, leurs poteaux près de mes poteaux, et il n’y avait qu’un mur entre moi et eux; ils ont ainsi souillé mon saint nom par les abominations qu’ils ont commises; c’est pourquoi je les ai consumés dans ma colère.
9 Now they must stop this disgusting worship of idols and these rituals to honor their kings who have died. If they stop doing those things, I will live among them forever.
Maintenant ils éloigneront de moi leurs prostitutions et les cadavres de leurs rois, et j’habiterai éternellement au milieu d’eux.
10 You human, describe to the Israeli people what this temple that I have shown you [in a vision] is like, in order that they will be ashamed of the sins that they have committed [which resulted in their temple in Jerusalem being destroyed].
Toi, fils de l’homme, montre ce temple à la maison d’Israël; qu’ils en mesurent le plan, et qu’ils rougissent de leurs iniquités.
11 If they are ashamed of all [the evil things] that they have done, tell them [all] about the temple [that I showed you]: its design/shape, the exits and entrances, [and everything else about it]. And tell them all my laws and regulations about worshiping me there. Write all these things down while they watch you, in order that they will be able to faithfully obey those laws.
S’ils rougissent de toute leur conduite, fais-leur connaître la forme de cette maison, sa disposition, ses issues et ses entrées, tous ses dessins et toutes ses ordonnances, tous ses dessins et toutes ses lois; mets-en la description sous leurs yeux, afin qu’ils gardent tous ses dessins et toutes ses ordonnances, et qu’ils s’y conforment dans l’exécution.
12 And this is the supreme law about the temple [DOU]: All of the area on top of the hill [where the temple will be built] must be kept sacred and holy.”
Telle est la loi de la maison. Sur le sommet de la montagne, tout l’espace qu’elle doit occuper est très saint. Voilà donc la loi de la maison.
13 These are the measurements of the altar, using the same kind of measuring stick that was used for the temple area: There is a gutter around the altar that is (21 in./53 cm.) deep and (21 in./53 cm.) wide. There is a rim around it that is (9 in./23 cm.) wide.
Voici les mesures de l’autel, d’après les coudées dont chacune était d’un palme plus longue que la coudée ordinaire. La base avait une coudée de hauteur, et une coudée de largeur; et le rebord qui terminait son contour avait un empan de largeur; c’était le support de l’autel.
14 The lower part of the gutter is (3-1/2 feet/1.1 meters) high to the lower ledge/rim that surrounds the altar. The lower ledge is (21 in./53 cm.) wide. The upper part of the altar is (7 feet/2.1 meters) high, up to the upper ledge. That ledge is also (21 in./53 cm.) wide.
Depuis la base sur le sol jusqu’à l’encadrement inférieur il y avait deux coudées, et une coudée de largeur; et depuis le petit jusqu’au grand encadrement il y avait quatre coudées, et une coudée de largeur.
15 The (hearth/place where the sacrifices are burned) at the top of the altar is another (7 feet/2.2 meters) high, and there is a projection that juts/extends up from each of the four corners.
L’autel avait quatre coudées; et quatre cornes s’élevaient de l’autel.
16 That place at the top of the altar is square, (21 feet/6.4 meters) on each side.
L’autel avait douze coudées de longueur, douze coudées de largeur, et formait un carré par ses quatre côtés.
17 The upper ledge is also a square, (24-1/2 feet/7.4 meters) on each side. There is a (21 in./53 cm.) gutter [at the bottom of the altar], and a (10.5 in./26.6 cm.) rim all around it. There are steps up to the east side of the altar.”
L’encadrement avait quatorze coudées de longueur sur quatorze coudées de largeur à ses quatre côtés, le rebord qui terminait son contour avait une demi-coudée; la base avait une coudée tout autour, et les degrés étaient tournés vers l’orient.
18 Then the man said to me, “You human, this is what Yahweh the Lord says: These are the regulations for sacrificing offerings that will be completely burned and for sprinkling the blood against the sides of the altar when it is built:
Il me dit: Fils de l’homme, ainsi parle le Seigneur, l’Éternel: Voici les lois au sujet de l’autel, pour le jour où on le construira, afin d’y offrir les holocaustes et d’y répandre le sang.
19 You must present to the priests a young bull to be an offering to cause the altar to be acceptable to me. The priests are descendants of Levi, from the clan of Zadok, who come near to the altar to serve me.
Tu donneras aux sacrificateurs, aux Lévites, qui sont de la postérité de Tsadok et qui s’approchent de moi pour me servir, dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel, un jeune taureau pour le sacrifice d’expiation.
20 You must take some of the blood [from the bull that is sacrificed], and smear it on the four projections of the altar and on the four corners of the upper ledge, and all around the rim, to cause the altar to be acceptable to me, and to consecrate it.
Tu prendras de son sang, et tu en mettras sur les quatre cornes de l’autel, sur les quatre angles de l’encadrement, et sur le rebord qui l’entoure; tu purifieras ainsi l’autel et tu en feras l’expiation.
21 You must burn that bull outside the temple in the part of the temple area [that I have] designated for that.
Tu prendras le taureau expiatoire, et on le brûlera dans un lieu réservé de la maison, en dehors du sanctuaire.
22 The next day, you must offer a male goat that has no defects, to be an offering to cause the altar to be acceptable to me. Then you must purify the altar again, like you did with the bull that was sacrificed.
Le second jour, tu offriras en expiation un bouc sans défaut; on purifiera ainsi l’autel, comme on l’aura purifié avec le taureau.
23 When you have finished doing all that, you must offer a young bull and a ram, both of them without any defects.
Quand tu auras achevé la purification, tu offriras un jeune taureau sans défaut, et un bélier du troupeau sans défaut.
24 You must offer them to [me], Yahweh, and the priests must sprinkle salt on them and completely burn them [on the altar] for a sacrifice to me.
Tu les offriras devant l’Éternel; les sacrificateurs jetteront du sel sur eux, et les offriront en holocauste à l’Éternel.
25 [Then], each day for seven days, you must bring [to the priest] a male goat [to be sacrificed] for an offering to cause the altar to be acceptable to me. You must also sacrifice a young bull and a ram, [each] without any defect.
Pendant sept jours, tu sacrifieras chaque jour un bouc comme victime expiatoire; on sacrifiera aussi un jeune taureau et un bélier du troupeau, l’un et l’autre sans défaut.
26 For seven days the priests will consecrate the altar and cause it to be acceptable to me. By doing that they will dedicate it to me.
Pendant sept jours, on fera l’expiation et la purification de l’autel, on le consacrera.
27 At the end of those seven days, starting on the following day, the priests will continue to put on the altar offerings to be completely burned and offerings to maintain fellowship with me. Then I will accept you. [That it what I], Yahweh the Lord, declare.”
Lorsque ces jours seront accomplis, dès le huitième jour et à l’avenir les sacrificateurs offriront sur l’autel vos holocaustes et vos sacrifices d’actions de grâces. Et je vous serai favorable, dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel.
