< Ezekiel 35 >
1 Yahweh gave me another message. He said,
Angraeng ih lok kai khaeah angzoh,
2 “You human, turn toward Edom and prophesy what will happen to its people. Say that this is what Yahweh says to them:
kami capa, Seir Mae bangah angqoi ah loe, anih misa haih lok to thui ah;
3 ‘You who live near Seir Mountain [in Edom], I am opposed to you, and I will use my power [MTY] to strike you and cause your country to become a wasteland.
khenah, Seir mae, nang loe Angraeng Sithaw mah misa ah kang suek, nang tuk hanah ban ka phok moe, kang pongsak sut han.
4 I will cause your country to be ruined and desolate. When that happens, people will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].
Na vangpuinawk to kam rosak moe, angqai krang ah kang suek han, to naah Kai loe Angraeng ni, tiah na panoek tih.
5 You have always been enemies of the Israeli people. You [rejoiced] when they experienced a great disaster: [their enemies attacked them with] swords, when I punished them [for the sins that they had committed].
Nang loe hnukmahaih na tawnh moe, Israel caanawk raihaih tongh o nathuem ih a sakpazae o haih pongah, boenghaih phak o naah nihcae to sumsen hoiah na hum o, tiah thuih, tiah thui paeh, tiah ang naa.
6 Therefore, I, Yahweh the Lord, declare that as surely as I am alive, I will allow [your enemies] to slaughter [MTY] you and continue to slaughter you. You were happy when [LIT] others were slaughtered;
To pongah Kai ka hing baktih toengah, Angraeng Sithaw mah, athii kang palong han, to athii mah na patom tih; kami athii palonghaih to na hnuma ai pongah, athii mah na patom tih.
7 so I will cause Seir Mountain to be abandoned/deserted, and I will get rid of anyone who enters it or leaves it.
To tiah Seir maesom to kam rosak moe, to ah caeh tathuk, caeh tahang kaminawk to ka boengsak han.
8 I will cause your mountains to be filled with [the corpses of] those who have been killed. The corpses of those who have been killed by [your enemies’] swords will lie on your hills and in your valleys and in all your ravines.
Nangmah ih maenawk to kami qok hoiah ka koisak han; sumsen hoi hum ih kaminawk loe nangmah ih maesomnawk, longhawhnawk hoi vapuinawk thungah amtim o tih.
9 I will cause your land to be deserted forever. No one will live in your towns again. When that happens, you will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].
Nang loe pong sut tih boeh, na vangpuinawk thungah kami om o mak ai boeh; to naah Kai loe Angraeng ni, tiah na panoek o tih, tiah thuih.
10 You people said, “Israel and Judah will become ours. We will take over their territory!” You said that even though I, Yahweh, was still there [and protecting them].
To prae thungah Angraeng oh to mah, nangcae mah, Hae acaeng hnik, Israel hoi Judah, nihnik ih prae to ka lak moe, qawk ah ka toep o han boeh, tiah na thuih o:
11 Therefore, I, Yahweh the Lord, declare that as surely as I am alive, I will punish [MTY] you for being angry with my people, envying them, and hating them.
Kai ka hing baktih toengah, Angraeng Sithaw mah, Kai ih kaminawk nuiah palungphuihaih hoi uthaih na tawnh o pongah, lok kang caek o han; lok kang caek o naah, nihcae khaeah kam tueng pae han.
12 Then you will know that I, Yahweh, have heard all the disgusting things that you have said about the mountains in Israel. You said that they have been ruined/devastated, and that they have been given to you to occupy [MET].
Nangcae mah Israel maenawk loe pong sut boeh, a caak o hanah aicae han ang paek boeh, tiah kasae na thuih o haih loknawk to Kai Angraeng mah ka thaih boih boeh, tiah na panoek o tih, tiah thuih.
13 When you insulted me, I heard all that you said about me.
Pakha hoiah kai nam oek o thuih moe, kai misa ah nang suek o haih lok to angsum ai ah na thuih o, to loknawk doeh ka thaih boeh.
14 So this is what I, Yahweh the Lord, say: You people who live on Seir Mountain and in all the other places in Edom, when I cause your land to become desolate, everyone in the entire world will rejoice.
Angraeng Sithaw mah, Long pum anghoe naah, nang loe angqai krangah kang ohsak han.
15 You were happy when the land [MTY] of the Israeli people became desolate, so I will cause your land to become desolate. When that happens, people will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].’”
Israel imthung takoh ih qawk to pong sut naah, nang hoe o baktih toengah, nangcae khaeah doeh ka sak han; Aw Seir mae, Edumea loe amro boih tih; to naah Kai loe Angraeng ni, tiah na panoek o tih, tiah thui paeh, tiah ang naa.
