Ezekiel 25

1 [Some time later, ] Yahweh gave me another message. [He said, ]

La Palabra de Yavé vino a mí:

2 “You human, turn toward where the Ammon people- [lives], and prophesy [what will happen to] them.

Hijo de hombre, dirige tu rostro hacia los hijos de Amón y profetiza contra ellos:

3 Say about them, ‘This is what Yahweh the Lord says: “You shouted joyfully when my [in Jerusalem] was destroyed, and when the country/land of Israel was ruined, and when the people of Judah were (exiled/forced to go) [to Babylonia].

Oigan la Palabra de ʼAdonay Yavé. ʼAdonay Yavé dice: Por cuanto dijiste: ¡Qué bueno! Cuando mi Santuario era profanado, la tierra de Israel era asolada y la Casa de Judá era llevada en cautiverio,

4 Therefore, I am going to allow you to be conquered by people [who will come] from the east. They will set up their tents in your country and live there. And they will eat the fruit from [fruit trees] and drink the [from your cattle].

Yo te entregaré en posesión a los hijos del oriente. Ellos asentarán sus campamentos y pondrán sus moradas en ti. Comerán tus frutos y beberán la leche que te pertenece.

5 I will [your capital city] Rabbah to become a pasture for camels, and the rest of Ammon to [only] a resting place for sheep. Then you will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].”

Haré de Rabá una morada de camellos, y [las ciudades] de los hijos de Amón un lugar de descanso para rebaños. Y sabrán que Yo soy Yavé.

6 This is what [I], Yahweh the Lord, say: “You clapped your [joyfully] and stomped your feet, and laughed because you despised [the people in] the land of Israel.

Porque ʼAdonay Yavé dice: Por el aplauso de tus manos y el pisoteo de tus pies, y porque te regocijaste con toda tu alma contra la tierra de Israel,

7 Therefore, I will use my power [MTY] against you, and I will enable [other] nations [conquer you and] take away your valuable possessions. I will destroy you completely [DOU], with the result that you no longer will be a nation. When that happens, people will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].’”

por tanto, Yo extenderé mi mano contra ti y te daré como despojo a las naciones. Te cortaré de los pueblos, te extirparé de entre las naciones y te destruiré. Y sabrás que Yo soy Yavé.

8 This is [also] what Yahweh the Lord says: “[The people of] [south of Ammon] and [the people of] [south of Moab despised Israel and] said, ‘The people [MTY] of Israel have [as unimportant] as all the other nations!’

ʼAdonay Yavé dice: Por cuanto Moab y Seír dijeron: ¡La Casa de Judá es como todos los demás pueblos!

9 Therefore, I will destroy the cities that protect the borders of Moab, starting at Beth-Jeshimoth, Baal-Meon, and Kiriathaim, the finest cities in Moab.

Por tanto ciertamente Yo abro el costado de Moab desde sus ciudades fronterizas hasta las tierras deseables de Bet-jesimot, Baalmeón y Quiriataim.

10 I will enable people from the east to conquer Moab and also to conquer Ammon. As a result, [I will cause that] Ammon will no longer be remembered by other nations.

Se las daré como posesión junto con los hijos de Amón, a los hijos del oriente, de modo que los hijos de Amón no serán recordados entre las naciones.

11 I will also punish [the people of] Moab. When that happens, they will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].”

Así juzgaré a Moab. Y sabrán que Yo soy Yavé.

12 This is [also] what Yahweh the Lord says: “[You people of] Edom are guilty of getting revenge on the people [MTY] of Judah.

ʼAdonay Yavé dice: Por lo que Edom hizo cuando tomó venganza de la Casa de Judá, pues delinquieron muchísimo y se vengaron de ellos,

13 Therefore this is what [I], Yahweh the Lord, say: 'I will use my power against [the people of] Edom and will get rid of their men and their animals. I will ruin the land from Teman [region in central Edom] to Dedan [region in the south of Edom], and many of their men will be killed [their enemies] swords.'

ʼAdonay Yavé dice: Yo extenderé mi mano sobre Edom. Cortaré de ella hombres y animales, y la desolaré. Desde Temán hasta Dedán caerán a espada.

14 The Israeli people will use their power [MTY] to get revenge on [the people of] Edom. They will show [the people of] Edom that I have been angry with them, and I will punish [MTY] them. The people of Edom will experience my getting revenge on them. Then they will know that I, Yahweh the Lord, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].”

Descargaré mi venganza sobre Edom por medio de mi pueblo Israel. Actuarán en Edom según mi ira y según mi furor. Conocerán mi venganza, dice ʼAdonay Yavé.

15 This is [also] what Yahweh the Lord says: “The Philistia people-group wanted very much to get revenge [on the people of Judah]. They very maliciously wanted to destroy [Judah].

ʼAdonay Yavé dice: Por lo que hicieron los filisteos con venganza, y aniquilaron con despecho de ánimo a causa de la antigua hostilidad,

16 Therefore this is what I, Yahweh the Lord, say: I am about to use my power [MTY] against the Philistia people. I will get rid of the Kereth people-group and all [those who live along] the coast of the [Mediterranean] Sea.

ʼAdonay Yavé dice: Ciertamente Yo extiendo mi mano contra los filisteos, cortaré a los cereteos y destruiré el resto de la costa del mar.

17 By the way I punish them, I will get great revenge on them and show that I am angry with them. And when I get revenge on them, they will know that I, Yahweh the Lord, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].'”

Ejecutaré en ellos una gran venganza con airadas reprensiones. Y sabrán que Yo soy Yavé cuando tome mi venganza de ellos.
