Ezekiel 25
1 [Some time later, ] Yahweh gave me another message. [He said, ]
Me fue dirigida la palabra de Yahvé en estos términos:
2 “You human, turn toward where the Ammon people- [lives], and prophesy [what will happen to] them.
“Hijo de hombre, vuelve tu rostro hacia los hijos de Ammón y vaticina contra ellos.
3 Say about them, ‘This is what Yahweh the Lord says: “You shouted joyfully when my [in Jerusalem] was destroyed, and when the country/land of Israel was ruined, and when the people of Judah were (exiled/forced to go) [to Babylonia].
Di a los hijos de Ammón: ¡Oíd la palabra de Yahvé, el Señor! Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Por cuanto exclamaste: «¡Ha, Ha!» cuando fue profanado mi Santuario y fue desolada la tierra de Israel y la casa de Judá partió al cautiverio;
4 Therefore, I am going to allow you to be conquered by people [who will come] from the east. They will set up their tents in your country and live there. And they will eat the fruit from [fruit trees] and drink the [from your cattle].
por eso te entregaré a los hijos del Oriente, como posesión suya; y ellos establecerán en ti sus campamentos, alzarán en ti sus tiendas, comerán tus frutos y beberán tu leche.
5 I will [your capital city] Rabbah to become a pasture for camels, and the rest of Ammon to [only] a resting place for sheep. Then you will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].”
De Rabbá haré un pastizal de camellos, y de (las ciudades de) los hijos de Ammón rediles para rebaños; y conoceréis que Yo soy Yahvé.
6 This is what [I], Yahweh the Lord, say: “You clapped your [joyfully] and stomped your feet, and laughed because you despised [the people in] the land of Israel.
Pues así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Porque aplaudiste con tus manos y pateaste con tus pies y te alegraste en tu alma con todo el desprecio para la tierra de Israel,
7 Therefore, I will use my power [MTY] against you, and I will enable [other] nations [conquer you and] take away your valuable possessions. I will destroy you completely [DOU], with the result that you no longer will be a nation. When that happens, people will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].’”
por eso, he aquí que extenderé contra ti mi brazo, te daré por botín a las naciones, te exterminaré de entre los pueblos, te borraré del número de los países y te destruiré; y conocerás que Yo soy Yahvé.
8 This is [also] what Yahweh the Lord says: “[The people of] [south of Ammon] and [the people of] [south of Moab despised Israel and] said, ‘The people [MTY] of Israel have [as unimportant] as all the other nations!’
Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Por cuanto Moab y Seír han dicho: «He aquí que la casa de Judá es como todos los pueblos»,
9 Therefore, I will destroy the cities that protect the borders of Moab, starting at Beth-Jeshimoth, Baal-Meon, and Kiriathaim, the finest cities in Moab.
por eso abriré el flanco de Moab, donde están sus ciudades, sus ciudades fronterizas, la gloria del país, Bet-Jesimot, Baal-Meón y Kiryataim.
10 I will enable people from the east to conquer Moab and also to conquer Ammon. As a result, [I will cause that] Ammon will no longer be remembered by other nations.
(Las daré) a los hijos del Oriente, por posesión suya, como lo hice con los hijos de Ammón para que de los hijos de Ammón no hubiese más memoria entre los pueblos.
11 I will also punish [the people of] Moab. When that happens, they will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].”
Así juzgaré también a Moab, y conocerán que Yo soy Yahvé.
12 This is [also] what Yahweh the Lord says: “[You people of] Edom are guilty of getting revenge on the people [MTY] of Judah.
Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Por lo que hizo Edom cuando se vengó cruelmente de los hijos de Judá, y por la grave culpa que cometieron al desfogar en ellos su rencor,
13 Therefore this is what [I], Yahweh the Lord, say: 'I will use my power against [the people of] Edom and will get rid of their men and their animals. I will ruin the land from Teman [region in central Edom] to Dedan [region in the south of Edom], and many of their men will be killed [their enemies] swords.'
por esto, así dice Yahvé el Señor: Yo extenderé mi mano contra Idumea, exterminaré de ella hombres y bestias, y la convertiré en un desierto; desde Temán hasta Dedán caerán a espada.
14 The Israeli people will use their power [MTY] to get revenge on [the people of] Edom. They will show [the people of] Edom that I have been angry with them, and I will punish [MTY] them. The people of Edom will experience my getting revenge on them. Then they will know that I, Yahweh the Lord, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].”
Y tomaré venganza de Edom, por medio de Israel, mi pueblo, que tratará a Edom conforme a mi ira y conforme a mi indignación; y conocerán mi venganza, dice Yahvé, el Señor.
15 This is [also] what Yahweh the Lord says: “The Philistia people-group wanted very much to get revenge [on the people of Judah]. They very maliciously wanted to destroy [Judah].
Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Porque los filisteos han tomado venganza, vengándose cruelmente, con desprecio en el alma, para exterminarlo (todo) a causa del odio perpetuo;
16 Therefore this is what I, Yahweh the Lord, say: I am about to use my power [MTY] against the Philistia people. I will get rid of the Kereth people-group and all [those who live along] the coast of the [Mediterranean] Sea.
por esto, así dice Yahvé, el Señor: He aquí que extenderé mi mano contra los filisteos, y exterminaré a los cereteos, y destruiré el resto (que habita) a orillas del mar.
17 By the way I punish them, I will get great revenge on them and show that I am angry with them. And when I get revenge on them, they will know that I, Yahweh the Lord, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].'”
Y tomaré de ellos una terrible venganza, castigándolos con furor; y conocerán que Yo soy Yahvé cuando Yo haga caer sobre ellos mi venganza.”
