< Ezekiel 23 >
Pakaija konin hiche thusei hi kahenga ahung lhunge.
2 “You human, [listen to this parable about Jerusalem and Samaria]. Once there were two women, daughters of the same mother.
“Mihem chapa, phatkhat chun minu khatseh chanu ucha numei ni ana um lhone.
3 They lived in Egypt. And from the time that they were young women, they became prostitutes. In that land, [men] fondled their breasts and caressed their bosoms [DOU].
Amani chu Egypt gam'a notin apang lhone. Numei chapang cha ahilai lhonna patna chu pasalho anoi amehsah pan lhon ahitai.
4 The older [sister] was Oholah, and her [younger] sister was Oholibah. [It was as though] they became my [wives. Later] they gave birth to sons and daughters. Oholah represents Samaria, and Oholibah represents Jerusalem.
Numei alenjo nu chu amin Oholah akitin chule asopinu chu Oholiba ahi. Keiman amani kaki chenpin amanin chapate le Chanute eihin peh lhone. Keiman Samaria le Jerusalem thu a kasei ahi, ajeh chu Oholah ahin chule Oholibah hi Jerusalem ahi.
5 Oholah acted like a prostitute while she was [still] my wife. She desired to have sex with those she loved—soldiers from Assyria.
Hitichun Oholah chun kei sangin adeichat dang ho chunga alunglut jon chule angailutna chu Asyria milen ho chu anapen ahi.
6 [Some of them] were army officers and commanders. They wore [beautiful] blue [uniforms. They were] all handsome young men. Some of them rode horses.
Amaho chu deichat chat um gollhang khangdong ahiuvin, sepai captain ho leh thupeh pea vaihom lea pang ho ahiuvin vanduma dum von hoitah tah a kivon, sakol touthem ahiuvin sakolho chunga ahung touve.
7 She acted like a prostitute toward all the important Assyrian officials, and became unacceptable to me by worshiping all the idols of the men she wanted to have sex with.
Chule hiche Assyria mei dei dei um mi ho koma chun amale ama notin aga kijoh un, amilim doiju ahouvin, hiti chun amale ama akisuboh in ahi.
8 When she was a young woman in Egypt, she started being a prostitute, and [young] men caressed her breasts and had sex with her; and when she became older, she did not quit acting like a prostitute.
Ajeh chu aman Egypt gam ahin dalhah a chu anoti chon chu anunga ahin dalhah den lou ahi. Amanu chu akhangdon laiya patna ana huh jing ahin, hitia chu Egypt mite nana luppi teng uleh anoi teni jong ana meh peh peh uva chuleh amanu chu noti a ana man u ahi.
9 So I allowed the Assyrian soldiers, whom she wanted to have sex with, to capture her.
Ahijeh chun amanu chu adeichat Assyria miho alunglut behsehna miho khutna kana pedoh tai.
10 They stripped all her clothes off her. They took away her sons and daughters. And then they killed her with a sword. [Other] women started talking about what had happened to her, about how she had been punished.
Amahon amanu chu avon asutlhah peh un achate soh dingin apuimang un chuti chun amanu chu athat tauve. Amanun aki engbolna chengse athoh chai phat in amanu phatna chu gamsungah numei jouse het in ahung um tai.
11 [younger] sister Oholibah saw those [that happened to Oholah], but she was a prostitute, and she desired to have sex with men more than [older] sister had desired.
Oholibah in amanu sopinu Oholah chunga thilsoh jouse amu jengin jong amanu khonung chu kitohchet in ajuijin ahi. Chuleh amanu chu aphatmo sah dehset in, amanu chu atahsa ngaichat le a noti chonna chun achemang tan ahi.
12 Oholibah [also] wanted to have sex with the Assyrian soldiers. [Some of them were] army officers and commanders. [They all] wore beautiful blue uniforms. They were all handsome young men. [Some of] them rode horses.
Amanu chu Assyria miten milal ho sepai captain chule natoh ding pea vaihoma pangho galvon lhingsetna hoitah tah a kivon ho galkonna sakol kangtalai tolho, akang talaija hung ho, lunglut um tahtah golhang ho jeng chunga chun akitau len ahi.
13 I saw what she did that caused her to became unacceptable to me, just like [older] sister.
Keiman a unu bang banga amaleh ama akisuhboh jengna chu kamun ahi.
14 But she did [even] worse things. She saw drawings of men from Babylonia on the walls, painted in red.
“Hiti chun amanun a noti chonna a chun achebe jing nalaije. Amanun banga kisem milim ho chu adeichan, Babylon sepai officerho thilkeu manchah angaicha jouse toh galvon sanna kivon ho lim chu ahi.
15 The [in the drawings] had belts around their waists and long turbans on their heads. They all resembled officers from Babylonia [DOU] [who rode in chariots].
Kong gah hoitah tah a akong kigah a aluchung uva lallukhuh banga delkop kikop ho, amaho chu Babylon gam'a hung kon sakol kangtalaija vaihom ho ahiuve.
16 As soon as she saw those drawings, she wanted to have sex with those men, and she sent messages to them in Babylonia.
Amanun hiche milim kisem ho chu amu phat in amaleh ama koma kipeh lut ding angaicha lheh e. Hijeh chun amanu in Babylon a konna amanu koma ahung nadiuva gahou dingin thupole mi asolin ahi.
17 Then the soldiers from Babylonia came to her, they lay in bed with her, and they had sex with her. Then she became disgusted with them and turned away from them.
Hijeh chun amaho ahungun chuleh amanu chutoh ajong uvin akidei nau jalkhun chungah chun amanu chu asuboh un ahi. Akisuhboh jou nungin amanun apaidoh in ahung kilep doh tai.
18 But when she continued to openly/boldly act like a prostitute [DOU], I became disgusted with her, and I rejected her like I had rejected [older] sister.
Hitobang ma chun keiman Oholibah chu kakidah in, chule amanu asopinu kanotdoh bang chun kanot doh tai. Ajeh chu amanu chu amaho masanga kiletsah tah a gakilah ah ahi. Chuleh ama cham tah in atahsa ngaichat suhbulhit nadingin aga kipedoh in ahi.
19 But she became even more immoral, as she remembered when she was a young woman who was a prostitute in Egypt.
Ahijeng vang'in a noti chonna chu ahabol be cheh cheh jengin, anungah tillaija Egypt gam'a a noti chonna ho jong ageldoh in ahi.
20 There she wanted to have sex with those who loved her, whose genitals were [very long], like [SIM] those of donkeys, and whose sexual emissions were huge, [like] those of horses.
Adeichat ho chunga atahsa ngaichat alunglut val jeh in ajunthahna jong sangan ho bangin alendoh in abotwi ho jong sakolla toh abange.
21 So she desired to be immoral like she was when she was young, when men in Egypt caressed her bosom and fondled her breasts.”
Chuti ahijeh chun Oholibah Egypt gam nanungah tillaija naumchan ho nanoi teni miho nana mehsah ji lai ho chu nanung ngaichat jing nalaije.
22 “[represents you people of Jerusalem]. Therefore, this is what [I], Yahweh the Lord say: ‘I will cause those [soldiers] who loved you but whom you turned away from because you became disgusted with them, to be angry with you. I will cause them to come and attack you from every side—
Hiche jeh a chu Oholibah hiche hi thaneitah Pakai thusei ahi. Keiman nakidah a nahin dalhah namtin vaipi ho mong mong chu nangma dou ding muntinna konna kahin sol doh peh ding nahi.
23 soldiers from Babylon and all the other places in Babylonia, [their allies] from Pekod and Shoa and [regions], and all the army of Assyria. [Yes], all of them are handsome young men, army officers and commanders, officers who ride in chariots, all riding on horses.
Hitia chu Babylon mite chu Chaldea mite toh Pekod leh Shoa chule Koa kon hung diu ahi. Chule Assyria mite chu khangthah melhoi tah tah captain ho commander ho sakol kangtalaija vaihom ho chule tohmun sangtah tah lamkai ho chutoh sakong chunga touvin hungunte.
24 Their huge army will attack you with weapons, riding in chariots and pulling wagons [that will carry their army supplies]. They will surround you, carrying large and small shields, and wearing helmets. I will allow them to capture you and punish you in the way that they [always] [their enemies].
Amaho chu nang dou dingin sahlanga konin sakol kangtalai leh kangtalaija galbol khum ding kigosa sepai hon tamtah toh hung diu ahi. Amaho chu mihem lum leh thih lukhuh kikhuh pasal ho toh nakim vel jouse pan mun ahin kisem diu ahi. Chule keiman nangma ama khut a chu na engbol diuva kapeh doh a chutia chu amahon alungdei dei uva nabol thei diu ahi.
25 Because I am very angry with you, I will cause them to act [very] furiously toward you. They will cut off your noses and your ears. Then, those who are still alive, they will kill with their swords. They will take away your sons and daughters, and a fire will burn up those who remain alive.
Keiman thangtom tah a kalung hanna chu kahin buhlah khuma hitia chu amahon khautah a nabol dingu ahi. Amahon nanah leh nabilkol atlhau vintin chuleh hichea konna hing doh ho chu chemajama kisat tel tel diu ahi. Chule nachateu chu songkulla hen dinga kikai mang uva nathil keuvu nadalhahsa jouseu chu kihal lhading ahi.
26 They will strip off your clothes and your fine jewelry and take them away.
Amahon napon hoitah tah hole nasong mantam ho chu nasutlhah peh dingu ahi.
27 In that way, I will stop all the immoral behavior that began when you became a prostitute in Egypt. You will no longer desire to do those things, or think [what you did in] Egypt.’
Hitia a hi keiman Egypt gam'a konna nahin kipohdoh najon lungput leh na noti chonna chu kasuh tang peh ding nahi. Hiche teng chuleh nangin hiche thilho vetna chu namit heidoh lou ding ahiloule Egypt gam'a naum phat laiho nanung geldoh kitlou ding ahitai.
28 This is what [I], Yahweh the Lord say: ‘I am about to allow those whom you hate, those you became disgusted with and turned away from, to capture you.
Hiche jeh a chu thaneitah Pakaiyin hiche thuhi asei ahi. Keiman namelma ho khutna kapeh doh teitei ding ahi. Nabol nom louho nanot thap ho.
29 They will be cruel and take away everything that you have worked hard to acquire. They will leave you completely naked [DOU], and everyone will see that you truly are a prostitute.
Amahon thet um tahtah a nabol uva nanei jouse nana lahpeh uva, nasaguoh keu le natahsa keuva ana dalhah diu ahi. Nanoti chonna jachat umtah chu vannoija kiphongdoh ding ahi.
30 It is because of what you have done that you will be punished like that; you have been an immoral prostitute; you have had sex with men of other nations, and you have caused yourselves to become unacceptable to me [worshiping] their idols.
Nangman hiche ho jouse hi namdang ho koma noti chonna nachon a, milim doi hou jouseuva nakisuhboh jeh a nangma chunga nakipoh lut khum ahi.
31 You have behaved [the people of Samaria, who are like] your [older] sister. So I will cause you to be punished [MET] like they were punished.’
Ajeh chu nangin nasopinu khonung najui jeh ahi. Amanun tijat kichatna dimset adonna khonna chu nang jong nada nacham louva kadon sah ding nahi.
32 This is what [I], Yahweh the Lord, say: ‘[You will suffer like people suffer when they drink from a cup a lot of strong alcoholic drink]: [It will be as though] you will drink from the cup that the people of Samaria drank from; a big and tall cup. Because of your drinking what is in that cup, many people will scorn you and make fun of you because there is a lot of liquid in that cup.
“Henge hiche hi thaneitah Pakai thusei ho chu ahi. Nangin tijat kichatna dimset khonna adon banga chu nadon ding ahi. Khon lentah leh thutah chu pampai naleh nuijat um dimset ahi.
33 When you become very drunk, you will become very sad, [drinking what is in] that cup [MTY] will cause you to become ruined and deserted, like what happened [MET] to [the people of] Samaria, [who are like] [MET] your sister.
Jukham nale lungnatna a dimin natin ajeh chu nakhon hi angong geija lungnatna jeng leh suhgentheina kisung dimset ahi. Hiche khon mama a chu nasopinu Samaria in adon ahi.
34 You will drink all the liquid that is in that cup; then you will break that cup into pieces [use those pieces to] gash/cut your [because you will be very sad].’ [That will surely happen because] I, Yahweh, have said it.
Nangin kichat tijatna dimset khon chu kang hella atogei nadon jou chutia chu nangin ahal hala nasuh chip a chuleh lung natah a naop nachup ding ahi. Keima thaneitah Pakaiyin kaseijesa ahi.
35 Therefore, this is what [I], Yahweh the Lord, say: ‘Because you have forgotten me and rejected me [IDM], you must be punished for your immoral behavior and for [like] a prostitute.’”
Chuleh nangin keima nei sumil in chuleh nei nungat e. Najon lungput leh na noti chonna konna hungsoh doh ho jouse chu nathoh ding ahi tia hiche thaneitah Pakai thusei ahi.
36 Yahweh said to me, “You human, you must [RHQ] [the people of those two cities represented by] Oholah and Oholibah. You must remind them of their detestable behavior:
Pakaiyin kahenga aseije. Mihem chapa nangin Oholah le Oholibah kidah dah um achonsetna ho jouse chunga themmona nachan sah ding ahi.
37 [It is as though the people of those cities] have committed adultery and have murdered [MTY] people. They have been unfaithful to me by [worshiping] idols. They have even sacrificed their own children, who belonged to me, to be food for their idols.
Amanin jonthanhoi le toltha akop lhonin milim doi semthu hou jeh a jonga ahin, chule keija dinga ahinsa achate govam thilto ato jeh a tolthat hi ahi.
38 They have done [disgraceful things]: They have caused my temple to be an unacceptable place for worship, and have not respected the Sabbath days.
Hicheng chungchon in ka houin asuboh uvin chule ka cholngah nikho asukeh uve.
39 On the same day that they sacrificed their children to their idols, they entered my temple, which caused it to be an unacceptable place for worshiping me.
Achateu milim doi semthu hounan akatdoh nikho tah chun kitahsan tah leh hangsan tah in Pathen hou din ka houin sungah ahung lut un ahi. Amaho chu ahung lut in kahouin asuboh uve.
40 They sent messages to men [in countries] far away. And when those men arrived, [the women of those two cities] bathed themselves for them, painted their eyebrows, and put on jewelry.
Na ucha lhonin gamla tah a pasal ahung nadiuvin thupole ho asol hone. Chutia amaho ahung lhun phat uvin nang le nang naga kisil thengin, namit a mitlou nakinun, chule na song mantam hoipen in amaho dingin nakijem in ahi.
41 They sat on a beautiful couch, with a table in front of it on which they had put incense and [olive] oil that belonged to me.
Pahcha jem hoitah a kijem touna sau hoipen chunga chun amaho toh natou khomin, chule ka gim namtwi leh kathao namtwisel ho chu dokhang chunga namasanga kathenam in ahi.
42 Soon there was a noisy crowd around them. Among the crowd there were men from Sheba who had come from the [of Arabia]. They put bracelets on the arms of the [two] sisters and put beautiful crowns on their heads.
Napindan sunga konin anneh khom bolla poh cheichui ho husan akijan ahi. Hiche munna chun gammang lah a kon jon lungputna dimset pasal ho leh jukham ho chun nakhut chau nabu peh un naluchunga lallukhuh nakhuh peh uve.
43 Then I said about the woman who had become exhausted by her having sex with many men, ‘Now allow those men to act toward her as though she is a prostitute, because that is all that she is.’
Hichun keiman kaseijin, hitia hi amahon noti twitah leh thacholsa chu aluppi nom uleh luppi tauvinte kati.
44 So they had sex [EUP] with those two women, Oholah and Oholibah, like men have sex with prostitutes.
Chuleh hichu amahon abol'u chu ahin, hiche jum lam helou Oholah le Oholibah toh alumkhom tauve.
45 But righteous men will condemn them to be punished, like women who commit adultery and who murder others are punished, because those women commit adultery and they murder [MTY] others.
Amani ajonthan hoi naleh atolthana khopi u chu numei teni chung thuhi michonpha hon ahin tan dingu ahi.
46 So this is what [I], Yahweh the Lord, say: Bring a mob to attack Samaria and Jerusalem, and allow that mob to cause the people of those cities to be terrified, and to rob them.
Tun thaneitah Pakai thusei hiche hi ahi. Amaho doudin sepai ho hin puijin lang chuleh kichatsah dingleh athil lahpeh dingin amaho khut ah pedoh in.
47 The mob will throw stones at [to kill them]; they will cut them into pieces with their swords, they will kill their sons and daughters, and burn down their houses.
Ajeh chu amelma teuvin songa aaseuva chule chemjama asatlih diu ahi. Achapa teule achanu teu satha a athapeh uva chule a in hou ahallhah peh dingu ahi.
48 In that way I will cause them to stop their immoral behavior. It will warn other women to not imitate/do what you people of Jerusalem are doing.
Hitia hi ajon thanhoi nauleh amilim doihou nau gamsunga kangah sah a chule hiche kathutan hi midang hon gitlouna lampia ache lou nadiuva kihilna khat hidinga kabol ahi.
49 [people of Jerusalem] will be punished for your immoral behavior and for your worshiping idols. Then you will know that I, Yahweh the Lord, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].”
Na noti chonna leh namilim doi hou nauhi bulhingsetna lethuhna kahin peh ding nahi. Henge gotna bulhingsetna nangin nathoh ding ahi. Hitia chu nangin keima hi thaneitah Pakai kahi ti nahin hetdoh ding ahi.
