Ezekiel 19
1 [Yahweh said to me, “Ezekiel], sing a sad funeral [a which will be a parable] [two of the] kings of Israel.
Toma ahora un canto de dolor para el gobernante de Israel y di:
2 Say [to the Israeli people], ‘[It is as though] [MET] your mother was a brave female lion who raised her cubs among [other] lions.
¿Cuál era tu madre? Como una leona entre leones, tendida entre los cachorros, daba comida a sus pequeños.
3 She taught one of them to [for other animals to kill], and he [even] learned [kill and] eat people.
Y uno de sus pequeños creció bajo su cuidado, y se convirtió en un león, aprendiendo a ir tras las bestias por su comida; Y tomó a los hombres por su carne.
4 [When people from other] nations heard about him, they trapped him in a pit. Then they used hooks to drag him to Egypt.
Y las naciones tuvieron noticias de él; se lo llevaron al hoyo que habían hecho; y, tirándolo con ganchos, lo llevaron a la tierra de Egipto.
5 His mother waited for him [to return], but [soon] she stopped hoping/expecting [that he would return]. So she raised another cub who [also] became very fierce.
Cuando vio que su esperanza se había vuelto tonta y se había ido, tomó a otro de sus cachorros y lo ayudó a desarrollarse.
6 He hunted along with [other] [for animals to kill], and he even learned [kill and] eat people.
Subió y bajó entre los leones y se convirtió en un león, aprendiendo a ir tras las bestias por su alimento; Y devoraba a los hombres.
7 He destroyed forts, and he ruined cities. When he roared [loudly], everyone was terrified.
Y envió destrucción a sus viudas, e hizo desperdiciar sus ciudades; y la tierra y todo en ella se convirtió en un desperdicio debido al fuerte sonido de su voz.
8 So [people of other] nations planned to kill him, and men came from many places to spread out a net for him, and they caught him in a trap.
Entonces las naciones vinieron contra él desde los reinos que estaban alrededor; su red estaba tendida sobre él y él fue tomado en el agujero que habían hecho.
9 They tied him with chains and took him to Babylonia. And [there] he was locked in a prison, with the result that [no one on] the hills of Israel ever heard him roar again.’ [Also, say to the Israeli people, ]
Lo hicieron prisionero con anzuelos y lo llevaron al rey de Babilonia lo pusieron en un lugar fuerte para que su voz ya no se oyese en las montañas de Israel.
10 ‘[It is as though] [SIM] your mother was a grapevine that was planted along a stream. There was plenty of water, so it had lots of branches and produced [a lot of] grapes.
Tu madre era en comparación como una enredadera, plantada por las aguas: era fértil y estaba llena de ramas debido a las abundantes aguas.
11 That grapevine grew and became taller than all the nearby trees; [everyone could] see that it was very strong and healthy. And those branches were good for making scepters that symbolize the power/ [of a king].
Y tenía ramas tan fuertes que sirvieron para cetros de autoridad para los gobernantes, y se elevó entre las nubes y se vio levantada entre el número de sus ramas.
12 [Yahweh] became very angry, so he pulled up the vine by its roots and threw it on the ground, where the [very hot] winds from the desert dried up all its fruit. The strong branches wilted and were burned in a fire.
Pero ella fue arrancada en ira ardiente, y humillada en la tierra; Vino el viento del este, secándola, y sus ramas se rompieron; su ramas fuertes se secaron, el fuego la consumió.
13 Now that vine has been planted in a hot, dry desert.
Y ahora ella está plantada en los terrenos baldíos, en un país seco y sin agua.
14 A fire started to burn its stem, and then started to burn the branches and burned all the grapes. [Now] not [even] one strong branch remains; they will never become scepters for a king.’ That funeral song must be sung very sadly.”
Y de sus rama salió fuego, causando la destrucción de sus retoños y fruto, de modo que en ella no hay vara fuerte para ser cetros de autoridad del gobernante. Esta es una canción de pena, y será usado como una canción de pena.
