Exodus 6
1 Then Yahweh said to Moses/me, “Now you will see what I will do to the king [and his people]. I will powerfully [MTY] compel him to let my people go. In fact, by my power [MTY] [I will force] him to expel them from his land!”
Lalu TUHAN berkata kepada Musa, "Sekarang engkau akan melihat bagaimana Aku bertindak terhadap raja. Dia akan Kupaksa melepaskan bangsa-Ku. Sesungguhnya, dia akan Kupaksa mengusir mereka dari negeri ini."
2 God also said to Moses/me, “I am Yahweh.
Allah berbicara kepada Musa, katanya, "Akulah TUHAN.
3 I am the one who appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and [told them that I] was God Almighty, but I did not [tell] them that my name [was Yahweh].
Aku menampakkan diri kepada Abraham, Ishak dan Yakub sebagai Allah Yang Mahakuasa, tetapi Aku tidak memperkenalkan diri kepada mereka dengan nama 'TUHAN'.
4 I also made my solemn agreement with them, promising to give them the Canaan region. That was the area in which they were living as foreigners.
Aku juga mengadakan perjanjian dengan mereka. Aku berjanji akan memberikan negeri Kanaan kepada mereka, negeri tempat mereka dahulu hidup sebagai orang asing.
5 Furthermore, I have heard the Israeli people as they were groaning [because of the hard work that] the Egyptians forced them to do as their slaves. I have thought about that solemn promise [that I made].
Aku sudah mendengar rintihan orang Israel yang diperbudak oleh bangsa Mesir, lalu Aku ingat akan janji-Ku itu.
6 So tell the Israeli people that [I said this: ] ‘I am Yahweh. I will free you from the burdens [of heavy work] that the Egyptians [have given you]. I will free you from being their slaves. With my great power [MTY] and by punishing them [MTY] very severely, I will save you.
Jadi umumkanlah kepada bangsa Israel bahwa Aku berkata kepada mereka: Akulah TUHAN; kamu akan Kubebaskan dari perbudakan bangsa Mesir. Aku akan menunjukkan kekuasaan-Ku yang hebat untuk menyelamatkan kamu dan menjatuhkan hukuman berat atas bangsa Mesir.
7 I will cause you to be my own people, and I will be your God, [the one you worship]. You will truly know that I, Yahweh your God, am the one who has freed you from the burdens [of work as slaves] of the Egyptians.
Kamu akan Kujadikan umat-Ku, dan Aku menjadi Allahmu. Maka kamu akan tahu bahwa Aku ini TUHAN, Allahmu, yang membebaskan kamu dari perbudakan di Mesir.
8 And I will bring you to the land that I solemnly promised to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. You will possess it [forever]. I, Yahweh, am [promising this].’”
Kamu akan Kubawa ke negeri yang Kujanjikan dengan sumpah kepada Abraham, Ishak dan Yakub; tanah itu Kuberikan kepadamu menjadi milikmu sendiri. Akulah TUHAN."
9 Moses/I told that to the Israeli people, but they did not believe what he/I said. They were very discouraged [IDM] because of the hard work [that they had been forced to do as slaves].
Semua pesan TUHAN itu disampaikan Musa kepada bangsa Israel, tetapi mereka tidak mau mempedulikan Musa, karena perbudakan yang kejam itu telah membuat mereka putus asa.
10 Yahweh said to Moses/me,
Kemudian TUHAN berkata kepada Musa,
11 “Go and tell the king of Egypt [again] that he must allow the Israeli people to leave his land!”
"Pergilah menghadap raja Mesir dan katakan bahwa ia harus mengizinkan bangsa Israel meninggalkan negerinya."
12 But Moses/I said to Yahweh, “Listen [to what I am saying]. [Even] the Israeli people have not paid attention to what I [told them]. But I am a poor speaker. [MET, MTY] So (why should the king pay attention to what I tell him?/the king will certainly not pay attention to what I [tell him]!)” [RHQ]
Tetapi Musa menjawab, "Orang Israel sendiri tidak mau mendengarkan saya. Mana mungkin raja Mesir mendengarkan orang yang tidak pandai bicara seperti saya?"
13 But Yahweh spoke to Aaron and Moses/me and commanded them/us, “Tell the Israeli people and the king of Egypt that I have [commissioned you two] to lead the Israeli people out of Egypt.”
Begitulah TUHAN mengutus Musa dan Harun untuk menyampaikan kepada bangsa Israel dan kepada raja Mesir bahwa mereka ditugaskan TUHAN untuk memimpin bangsa Israel keluar dari Mesir.
14 (Here is/I will now give you) a list of the ancestors of [Moses/me and Aaron]: The sons of Reuben, who was Jacob’s oldest son, [were] Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi. They were [ancestors of] the clans [that have those same names].
Inilah silsilah Musa dan Harun: Ruben, anak sulung Yakub, mempunyai empat anak laki-laki: Henokh, Palu, Hezron, dan Karmi. Mereka itu nenek moyang dari kaum-kaum dalam suku Ruben.
15 The sons of Simeon [were] Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul. Shaul’s mother was a woman from the Canaan people-group. Those men also were [ancestors of] clans [that have those same names].
Simeon dan istrinya seorang wanita Kanaan mempunyai enam anak laki-laki: Yemuel, Yamin, Ohad, Yakhin, Zohar dan Saul. Mereka itu nenek moyang dari kaum-kaum dalam suku Simeon.
16 These are the names of the sons of Levi, in the order in which they were born: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari. Levi was 137 years old [when he died].
Lewi mempunyai tiga anak laki-laki: Gerson, Kehat dan Merari; mereka itu nenek moyang dari kaum-kaum dalam suku Lewi. Lewi mencapai umur 137 tahun.
17 The sons of Gershon [were] Libni and Shimei. They were ancestors of clans that have those names.
Gerson mempunyai dua anak laki-laki: Libni dan Simei; mereka mempunyai banyak keturunan.
18 The sons of Kohath [were] Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel. Kohath was 133 years old [when he died].
Kehat mempunyai empat anak laki-laki: Amram, Yizhar, Hebron dan Uziel. Kehat mencapai umur 133 tahun.
19 The sons of Merari [were] Mahli and Mushi. All of those people whose names [I have listed] belonged to tribes/clans descended from Levi, in the order in which they were born.
Merari mempunyai dua anak laki-laki: Mahli dan Musi. Itulah kaum-kaum dalam suku Lewi dengan keturunan mereka masing-masing.
20 Amram married his father’s sister, Jochebed. She was the mother of Aaron and Moses/me. Amram was 137 years old [when he died].
Amram kawin dengan Yokhebed, adik perempuan ayahnya, dan anak-anak mereka adalah Harun dan Musa. Amram hidup 137 tahun.
21 The sons of Izhar were Korah, Nepheg, and Zichri.
Yizhar mempunyai tiga anak laki-laki: Korah, Nefeg dan Zikhri.
22 The sons of Uzziel were Mishael, Elzaphan, and Sithri.
Uziel juga mempunyai tiga anak laki-laki: Misael, Elsafan dan Sitri.
23 Aaron married Elisheba. She was the daughter of Amminadab and sister of Nahshon. Elisheba gave birth to [four sons]: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
Harun kawin dengan Eliseba, anak perempuan Aminadab; Eliseba juga bersaudara dengan Nahason. Eliseba melahirkan Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar dan Itamar.
24 The sons of Korah [were] Assir, Elkanah, and Abiasaph. They were the ancestors of the Korah people-group.
Korah mempunyai tiga anak laki-laki: Asir, Elkana dan Abiasaf. Mereka itu nenek moyang dari kaum keluarga Korah.
25 Aaron’s son Eleazar married one of the daughters of Putiel, and she gave birth to Phinehas. [That ends the list of] the families and clans that were descended from Levi.
Eleazar, anak laki-laki Harun, kawin dengan salah seorang anak Putiel, dan anak mereka ialah Pinehas. Itulah semua kepala kaum dan kepala keluarga dalam suku Lewi.
26 Aaron and Moses/I were the ones to whom Yahweh said, “Lead all the families and clans of the Israeli people out of Egypt.”
Harun dan Musa itulah yang diperintahkan TUHAN untuk membawa orang-orang Israel keluar dari Mesir.
27 They/We were the ones who spoke to the king of Egypt about bringing the Israeli people out of Egypt.
Mereka berdua menghadap raja Mesir supaya ia membebaskan orang Israel.
28 On the day that Yahweh spoke to Moses/me in Egypt,
Ketika TUHAN berbicara dengan Musa di Mesir,
29 he said, “I am Yahweh. You must tell the king everything that I say to you.”
TUHAN berkata, "Akulah TUHAN. Sampaikanlah kepada raja Mesir segala sesuatu yang telah Kukatakan kepadamu."
30 But Moses/I said to Yahweh, “Listen to me. I am not a good speaker. [MET, MTY] So (the king will certainly not pay attention to what I say/why should the king pay attention to what I tell him?)!” [RHQ]
Tetapi Musa menjawab, "TUHAN, Engkau tahu bahwa saya tidak pandai bicara. Mana mungkin raja mau mendengarkan saya?"
