Exodus 6
1 Then Yahweh said to Moses/me, “Now you will see what I will do to the king [and his people]. I will powerfully [MTY] compel him to let my people go. In fact, by my power [MTY] [I will force] him to expel them from his land!”
૧પછી યહોવાહે મૂસાને કહ્યું, “હવે, તને જોવા મળશે કે હું ફારુનની શી હાલત કરું છું. મારા સામર્થ્યને કારણે ફારુન તેઓને જવા દેશે. અને મારા બળવાન હાથનાં પરાક્રમને કારણે તે ઇઝરાયલ લોકોને દેશમાંથી મુક્ત કરશે.”
2 God also said to Moses/me, “I am Yahweh.
૨અને ઈશ્વરે મૂસાને કહ્યું, “હું યહોવાહ છું.”
3 I am the one who appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and [told them that I] was God Almighty, but I did not [tell] them that my name [was Yahweh].
૩અને ‘સર્વસમર્થ ઈશ્વર’ એ નામે મેં ઇબ્રાહિમ, ઇસહાક અને યાકૂબને દર્શન આપ્યું હતું. ઈશ્વર, યહોવાહ એ મારા નામની જાણકારી તેઓને ન હતી.
4 I also made my solemn agreement with them, promising to give them the Canaan region. That was the area in which they were living as foreigners.
૪મેં તેઓની સાથે કરાર કર્યો હતો. તેઓ જે દેશમાં જઈને વસ્યા હતા તે કનાન દેશ તેઓને આપવાનું મેં વચન આપ્યું હતું. તેઓ ત્યાં રહેતા હતા, પણ તે તેઓનો પોતાનો પ્રદેશ ન હતો.
5 Furthermore, I have heard the Israeli people as they were groaning [because of the hard work that] the Egyptians forced them to do as their slaves. I have thought about that solemn promise [that I made].
૫મેં ઇઝરાયલી લોકોની રડારોળ સાંભળી છે. તેઓ મિસરમાં ગુલામ છે અને મેં મારો કરાર યાદ કર્યો છે.
6 So tell the Israeli people that [I said this: ] ‘I am Yahweh. I will free you from the burdens [of heavy work] that the Egyptians [have given you]. I will free you from being their slaves. With my great power [MTY] and by punishing them [MTY] very severely, I will save you.
૬તેથી ઇઝરાયલીઓને કહે કે, ‘હું યહોવાહ છું.’ હું તેઓનું રક્ષણ કરીશ. મારા સામર્થ્ય વડે મિસરીઓની ગુલામીમાંથી તેઓને મુક્ત કરીશ. હું મિસરીઓને ભયંકર શિક્ષા કરીશ.
7 I will cause you to be my own people, and I will be your God, [the one you worship]. You will truly know that I, Yahweh your God, am the one who has freed you from the burdens [of work as slaves] of the Egyptians.
૭“હું તેઓને મારા લોક તરીકે સ્વીકારીશ. ત્યારે તેઓને ખબર પડશે કે મિસરની ગુલામીમાંથી તેઓને મુક્ત કરનાર તેઓનો ઈશ્વર હું છું.
8 And I will bring you to the land that I solemnly promised to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. You will possess it [forever]. I, Yahweh, am [promising this].’”
૮હું યહોવાહ છું, મેં ઇબ્રાહિમ, ઇસહાક અને યાકૂબને જે દેશ આપવાનો કરાર કર્યો છે, તે દેશમાં હું ઇઝરાયલ લોકોને લઈ જઈશ. વતન તરીકે એ દેશ તેઓને આપીશ અને વારસ બનાવીશ.”
9 Moses/I told that to the Israeli people, but they did not believe what he/I said. They were very discouraged [IDM] because of the hard work [that they had been forced to do as slaves].
૯મૂસાએ ઈશ્વરની એ વાત ઇઝરાયલીઓને કહી. પણ તે વખતે તેઓ આકરી ગુલામીથી હતાશ થઈ ગયેલા તેથી તેઓએ ઈશ્વરની વાત કાને ધરી નહિ.
10 Yahweh said to Moses/me,
૧૦ત્યારે યહોવાહે મૂસાને કહ્યું,
11 “Go and tell the king of Egypt [again] that he must allow the Israeli people to leave his land!”
૧૧“તું જઈને મિસરના રાજા ફારુનને કહે કે, તે ઇઝરાયલીઓને તારા દેશમાંથી જવા દે.”
12 But Moses/I said to Yahweh, “Listen [to what I am saying]. [Even] the Israeli people have not paid attention to what I [told them]. But I am a poor speaker. [MET, MTY] So (why should the king pay attention to what I tell him?/the king will certainly not pay attention to what I [tell him]!)” [RHQ]
૧૨પરંતુ મૂસાએ યહોવાહને કહ્યું, “ઇઝરાયલી લોકો જ મારું સાંભળતાં નથી; તો પછી ફારુન તો શાનો સાંભળે? વળી મને તો છટાપૂર્વક બોલતાં પણ આવડતું નથી.”
13 But Yahweh spoke to Aaron and Moses/me and commanded them/us, “Tell the Israeli people and the king of Egypt that I have [commissioned you two] to lead the Israeli people out of Egypt.”
૧૩પરંતુ યહોવાહે મૂસા અને હારુન સાથે વાતચીત કરી. તેઓને આજ્ઞા કરી કે, “તમે મિસરના રાજા ફારુન પાસે જાઓ. અને તેને તાકીદ આપો કે ઇઝરાયલી લોકોને મિસરમાંથી મુક્ત કરે.”
14 (Here is/I will now give you) a list of the ancestors of [Moses/me and Aaron]: The sons of Reuben, who was Jacob’s oldest son, [were] Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi. They were [ancestors of] the clans [that have those same names].
૧૪ઇઝરાયલીઓના પિતૃઓનાં કુળોના આગેવાનો આ છે: ઇઝરાયલના જયેષ્ઠ રુબેનના ચાર પુત્રો: હનોખ, પાલ્લૂ, હેસ્રોન અને કાર્મી.
15 The sons of Simeon [were] Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul. Shaul’s mother was a woman from the Canaan people-group. Those men also were [ancestors of] clans [that have those same names].
૧૫શિમયોનના પુત્રો; યમુએલ, યામીન, ઓહાદ, યાખીન, સોહાર તથા કનાની પત્નીથી જન્મેલો શાઉલ.
16 These are the names of the sons of Levi, in the order in which they were born: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari. Levi was 137 years old [when he died].
૧૬લેવીના પુત્રો: ગેર્શોન, કહાથ અને મરારી. લેવીનું આયુષ્ય એકસો સાડત્રીસ વર્ષનું હતું.
17 The sons of Gershon [were] Libni and Shimei. They were ancestors of clans that have those names.
૧૭ગેર્શોનના પુત્રો: લિબ્ની અને શિમઈ.
18 The sons of Kohath [were] Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel. Kohath was 133 years old [when he died].
૧૮કહાથના પુત્રો: આમ્રામ, યિસ્હાર, હેબ્રોન અને ઉઝિયેલ. કહાથનું આયુષ્ય એકસો તેત્રીસ વર્ષનું હતું.
19 The sons of Merari [were] Mahli and Mushi. All of those people whose names [I have listed] belonged to tribes/clans descended from Levi, in the order in which they were born.
૧૯મરારીના પુત્રો: માહલી અને મુશી. આ બધા ઇઝરાયલના પુત્ર લેવીના વંશજો હતા.
20 Amram married his father’s sister, Jochebed. She was the mother of Aaron and Moses/me. Amram was 137 years old [when he died].
૨૦આમ્રામે પોતાની ફોઈ યોખેબેદ સાથે લગ્ન કર્યું. તેઓના કુટુંબમાં હારુન અને મૂસાના જન્મ થયા. આમ્રામનું આયુષ્ય એકસો સાડત્રીસ વર્ષનું હતું.
21 The sons of Izhar were Korah, Nepheg, and Zichri.
૨૧યિસ્હારના પુત્રો: કોરાહ, નેફેગ અને ઝિખ્રી.
22 The sons of Uzziel were Mishael, Elzaphan, and Sithri.
૨૨ઉઝિયેલના પુત્રો: મીશાએલ, એલ્સાફાન અને સિથ્રી.
23 Aaron married Elisheba. She was the daughter of Amminadab and sister of Nahshon. Elisheba gave birth to [four sons]: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
૨૩હારુનનું લગ્ન આમ્મીનાદાબની પુત્રી અને નાહશોનની બહેન અલીશેબા સાથે થયું. તેઓના પુત્રો: નાદાબ, અબીહૂ, એલાઝાર અને ઈથામાર.
24 The sons of Korah [were] Assir, Elkanah, and Abiasaph. They were the ancestors of the Korah people-group.
૨૪કોરાહના પુત્રો: આસ્સીર, એલ્કાના અને અબિઆસાફ.
25 Aaron’s son Eleazar married one of the daughters of Putiel, and she gave birth to Phinehas. [That ends the list of] the families and clans that were descended from Levi.
૨૫હારુનના પુત્ર એલાઝારે પૂટીએલની પુત્રી સાથે લગ્ન કર્યું. તેઓનો પુત્ર: ફીનહાસ. તેઓ બધા લેવીના વંશજો હતા.
26 Aaron and Moses/I were the ones to whom Yahweh said, “Lead all the families and clans of the Israeli people out of Egypt.”
૨૬આ રીતે હારુન અને મૂસા લેવી કુળના વંશજો હતા. તેઓની સાથે ઈશ્વરે વાત કરી હતી કે, “ઇઝરાયલીઓને તેઓનાં કુળોના સમૂહ પ્રમાણે મિસરમાંથી બહાર લઈ આવો.”
27 They/We were the ones who spoke to the king of Egypt about bringing the Israeli people out of Egypt.
૨૭એ જ હારુન અને મૂસાએ મિસરના રાજા ફારુન સાથે વાત કરીને તેને કહ્યું કે, “તે ઇઝરાયલી લોકોને મિસરની બહાર જવા દે.”
28 On the day that Yahweh spoke to Moses/me in Egypt,
૨૮ઈશ્વરે મિસર દેશમાં મૂસા સાથે વાત કરી તે દિવસે;
29 he said, “I am Yahweh. You must tell the king everything that I say to you.”
૨૯તેમણે મૂસાને કહ્યું, “હું યહોવાહ છું, હું તને કહું છું, તે બધું જ તું મિસરના રાજા ફારુનને કહેજે.”
30 But Moses/I said to Yahweh, “Listen to me. I am not a good speaker. [MET, MTY] So (the king will certainly not pay attention to what I say/why should the king pay attention to what I tell him?)!” [RHQ]
૩૦અને મૂસાએ ઈશ્વરની સમક્ષ કહ્યું કે, “હું સ્પષ્ટ રીતે બોલી શકતો નથી તો પછી ફારુન મારી વાત કેવી રીતે સાંભળશે?”
