Exodus 6
1 Then Yahweh said to Moses/me, “Now you will see what I will do to the king [and his people]. I will powerfully [MTY] compel him to let my people go. In fact, by my power [MTY] [I will force] him to expel them from his land!”
Og Herren sagde til Mose: Nu skal du se, hvad jeg vil gøre Farao; thi ved en stærk Haand skal han lade dem fare, og ved en stærk Haand skal han uddrive dem af sit Land.
2 God also said to Moses/me, “I am Yahweh.
Og Gud talede til Mose og sagde til ham: Jeg er Herren,
3 I am the one who appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and [told them that I] was God Almighty, but I did not [tell] them that my name [was Yahweh].
og jeg har aabenbaret mig for Abraham, Isak og Jakob som en almægtig Gud; men ved mit Navn: „Herren!” var jeg ikke kendt af dem.
4 I also made my solemn agreement with them, promising to give them the Canaan region. That was the area in which they were living as foreigners.
Og Jeg har ogsaa oprettet min Pagt med dem, at give dem Kanaans Land, deres Udlændigheds Land, i hvilket de have været Udlændinge.
5 Furthermore, I have heard the Israeli people as they were groaning [because of the hard work that] the Egyptians forced them to do as their slaves. I have thought about that solemn promise [that I made].
Og jeg har ogsaa hørt Sukket fra Israels Børn, hvilke Ægypterne have gjort til Trælle, og jeg har ihukommet min Pagt.
6 So tell the Israeli people that [I said this: ] ‘I am Yahweh. I will free you from the burdens [of heavy work] that the Egyptians [have given you]. I will free you from being their slaves. With my great power [MTY] and by punishing them [MTY] very severely, I will save you.
Derfor sig til Israels Børn: Jeg er Herren og vil udføre eder fra Ægypternes Byrder og fri eder af deres Trældom; og jeg vil udløse eder med en udrakt Arm og ved store Domme.
7 I will cause you to be my own people, and I will be your God, [the one you worship]. You will truly know that I, Yahweh your God, am the one who has freed you from the burdens [of work as slaves] of the Egyptians.
Og jeg vil tage mig eder til et Folk, og jeg vil være eder en Gud, og I skulle fornemme, at jeg er Herren eders Gud, den som udfører eder fra Ægypternes Byrder.
8 And I will bring you to the land that I solemnly promised to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. You will possess it [forever]. I, Yahweh, am [promising this].’”
Og jeg vil indføre eder i Landet, om hvilket jeg har opløftet min Haand og svoret at give Abraham, Isak og Jakob det; og jeg vil give eder det til Ejendom, jeg er Herren.
9 Moses/I told that to the Israeli people, but they did not believe what he/I said. They were very discouraged [IDM] because of the hard work [that they had been forced to do as slaves].
Og Mose talede saaledes til Israels Børn; men de hørte ikke Mose for Sjæleangst og for den haarde Trældom.
10 Yahweh said to Moses/me,
Da talede Herren til Mose og sagde:
11 “Go and tell the king of Egypt [again] that he must allow the Israeli people to leave his land!”
Gak ind og tal til Farao, Kongen af Ægypten, at han lader Israels Børn drage ud af sit Land.
12 But Moses/I said to Yahweh, “Listen [to what I am saying]. [Even] the Israeli people have not paid attention to what I [told them]. But I am a poor speaker. [MET, MTY] So (why should the king pay attention to what I tell him?/the king will certainly not pay attention to what I [tell him]!)” [RHQ]
Og Mose talede for Herrens Ansigt og sagde: Se, Israels Børn høre mig ikke, og hvorledes skulde Farao høre mig? og derhos er jeg uomskaaren paa Læberne.
13 But Yahweh spoke to Aaron and Moses/me and commanded them/us, “Tell the Israeli people and the king of Egypt that I have [commissioned you two] to lead the Israeli people out of Egypt.”
Og Herren talede til Mose og Aron og gav dem Befaling til Israels Børn og til Farao, Kongen af Ægypten, om at udføre Israels Børn af Ægyptens Land.
14 (Here is/I will now give you) a list of the ancestors of [Moses/me and Aaron]: The sons of Reuben, who was Jacob’s oldest son, [were] Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi. They were [ancestors of] the clans [that have those same names].
Disse vare Øversterne i deres Fædrenehuse: Rubens, Israels førstefødtes, Sønner vare: Hanok og Pallu, Hezron og Karmi; disse vare Rubens Slægter.
15 The sons of Simeon [were] Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul. Shaul’s mother was a woman from the Canaan people-group. Those men also were [ancestors of] clans [that have those same names].
Og Simeons Sønner vare: Jemuel og Jamin og Ohad og Jakin og Zohar og Saul, den kananæiskes Søn; disse vare Simeons Slægter.
16 These are the names of the sons of Levi, in the order in which they were born: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari. Levi was 137 years old [when he died].
Og disse vare Levi Børns Navne efter deres Slægter: Gerson og Kahath og Merari; men Levi blev hundrede og syv og tredive Aar gammel.
17 The sons of Gershon [were] Libni and Shimei. They were ancestors of clans that have those names.
Og Gersons Børn vare: Libni og Simei efter deres Slægter.
18 The sons of Kohath [were] Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel. Kohath was 133 years old [when he died].
Og Kahaths Børn vare: Amram og Jizehar og Hebron og Ussiel; og Kahath blev hundrede og tre og tredive Aar gammel.
19 The sons of Merari [were] Mahli and Mushi. All of those people whose names [I have listed] belonged to tribes/clans descended from Levi, in the order in which they were born.
Og Merari Børn vare Maheli og Musi; disse ere Levi Slægter efter deres Afkom.
20 Amram married his father’s sister, Jochebed. She was the mother of Aaron and Moses/me. Amram was 137 years old [when he died].
Og Amram tog sin Faders Søster Jokebed til Hustru, og hun fødte ham Aron og Mose; og Amram blev hundrede og syv og tredive Aar gammel.
21 The sons of Izhar were Korah, Nepheg, and Zichri.
Og Jizehars Sønner vare: Kora og Nefeg og Sikri.
22 The sons of Uzziel were Mishael, Elzaphan, and Sithri.
Og Ussiels Sønner vare: Misael og Elzafan og Sithri.
23 Aaron married Elisheba. She was the daughter of Amminadab and sister of Nahshon. Elisheba gave birth to [four sons]: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
Og Aron tog Eliseba, Amminadabs Datter, Nahassons Søster, til Hustru, og hun fødte ham Nadab og Abihu, Eleasar og Ithamar.
24 The sons of Korah [were] Assir, Elkanah, and Abiasaph. They were the ancestors of the Korah people-group.
Og Koras Børn vare: Assir og Elkana og Abiasaf; disse ere de Koraiters Slægter.
25 Aaron’s son Eleazar married one of the daughters of Putiel, and she gave birth to Phinehas. [That ends the list of] the families and clans that were descended from Levi.
Men Eleasar, Arons Søn, tog sig en Hustru af Putiels Døtre, og hun fødte ham Pinehas; disse ere Øversterne for Leviternes Fædrenehuse efter deres Slægter.
26 Aaron and Moses/I were the ones to whom Yahweh said, “Lead all the families and clans of the Israeli people out of Egypt.”
Dette er Aron og Mose, som Herren sagde til: Fører Israels Børn ud af Ægyptens Land, efter deres Hære.
27 They/We were the ones who spoke to the king of Egypt about bringing the Israeli people out of Egypt.
Det var dem, som talede til Farao, Kongen af Ægypten, om at udføre Israels Børn af Ægypten, det er Mose og Aron.
28 On the day that Yahweh spoke to Moses/me in Egypt,
Og det skete paa den Dag, at Herren talede til Mose i Ægyptens Land.
29 he said, “I am Yahweh. You must tell the king everything that I say to you.”
Og Herren talede til Mose sigende: Jeg er Herren, tal til Farao, Kongen af Ægypten, alt hvad jeg taler til dig.
30 But Moses/I said to Yahweh, “Listen to me. I am not a good speaker. [MET, MTY] So (the king will certainly not pay attention to what I say/why should the king pay attention to what I tell him?)!” [RHQ]
Og Mose sagde for Herrens Ansigt: Se, jeg er uomskaaren paa Læberne, og hvorledes skulde Farao høre mig?
