< Exodus 37 >

1 Then Bezalel made the [sacred] chest from acacia wood. It was (45 in./110 cm.) long, (27 in./66 cm.) wide, and (27 in./66 cm.) high.
Bezaleyèl te fè Bwat Kontra a an bwa zakasya. Bwat la te mezire twa pye nèf pous longè, de pye twa pous lajè ak de pye twa pous wotè.
2 He covered it with pure gold inside and outside the chest, and he made a gold border around the top of it.
Li kouvri l' nèt, andedan kou deyò, ak pi bon kalite lò ki genyen. Li mete yon bòdi an lò fè wonn li.
3 He made/cast four rings from gold [and fastened them] to the legs of the chest. He put two rings on each side of the chest.
Li fonn lò pou fè kat gwo bag tou won pou bwat la. Li moute yonn sou chak kwen bwat la, de chak bò.
4 He made [two] poles from acacia wood, and covered them with gold.
Li fè de jenn ti poto an bwa zakasya, li kouvri yo nèt ak lò.
5 He put the poles into the rings on the sides of the chest, in order that the chest could be carried [by means of the poles].
Li pase poto yo nan twou bag yo, yonn sou chak bò bwat la pou yo te kapab pote l' kote yo vle.
6 He made a lid for the chest. That was [the place where Yahweh would] forgive people’s sins. It [also] was (45 in./110 cm.) long and (27 in./66 cm.) wide.
Li fè yon kouvèti an bon lò pou bwat la. Kouvèti a te mezire twa pye nèf pous longè ak de pye twa pous lajè.
7 He made two winged creatures from hammered gold.
Li pran de gwo moso lò, li bat yo ak mato, li fè pòtre de zanj cheriben li moute sou de pwent kouvèti a,
8 One of these was put at each end of the chest. The gold [with which they were made] was joined to the gold from which the lid [was made].
yonn sou bò gòch, lòt la sou bò dwat. Li fè yo tankou si yo te fè yon sèl pyès ak kouvèti a.
9 [He placed] the winged creatures facing each other so that their wings touched each other and spread out over the lid.
Zanj cheriben yo te gen zèl yo louvri anwo tèt yo pou kouvri kouvèti a. Yo te yonn anfas lòt, avèk tèt yo bese ap gade kouvèti a.
10 Bezalel made a table from acacia wood. It was (36 in./88 cm.) long, (18 in./44 cm.) wide, and (27 in./66 cm.) high.
Li fè tab la an bwa zakasya. Tab la te mezire twa pye longè, yon pye sis pous lajè ak de pye twa pous wotè.
11 He covered it with pure gold, and he put a gold border around it.
Li kouvri l' nèt ak pi bon lò ki genyen, li mete yon bòdi an lò fè wonn li.
12 He made a rim all around it, (3 in./7 cm.) wide. He put a gold border around the rim.
Li mete yon ankadreman kat pous lajè anba desi a fè wonn tab la. Epi li kouvri tout ankadreman an ak yon plak lò.
13 He made/cast four rings from gold and fastened the rings to the four corners of the table, one ring close to each leg [of the table].
Li fè kat gwo bag tou won an lò. Li moute yo nan kat kwen tab la kote pye yo moute a.
14 The rings were fastened to the table near the rim.
Li te moute bag won yo toupre ankadreman an. Se nan twou bag yo yo pase poto bwa ki pou sèvi pou pote tab la.
15 He made two poles from acacia wood and covered them with gold. These poles for carrying the table were then inserted into the rings.
Li fè poto yo ak bwa zakasya, epi li kouvri yo nèt ak lò. Se poto sa yo ki sèvi pou pote tab la.
16 He also made from pure gold all the things to be put on the table. He made the plates, the cups, and the jars and bowls to be used [when the priests] poured out wine [as an offering to Yahweh].
Li fè tout bagay ki pou ale sou tab la: asyèt, bòl, tas, gode, bagay ki pou sèvi lè y'ap fè sèvis pou Bondye. Li fè yo ak pi bon lò ki genyen.
17 [He] made the lampstand from pure gold. Its base and its shaft were hammered from [one large lump of] gold. [The branches of the lampstand], the cups for holding the oil, the flower buds and the petals [that decorated the branches of the lamp, the base, and the shaft were all hammered from] one [big] lump of gold.
Li fè gwo lanp sèt branch lan ak pi bon lò ki genyen. Li pran yon sèl moso lò pou li fè lanp sèt branch lan: kò li, branch li yo, flè yo, boujon yo, ak fèy yo ki te fè yon sèl pyès ak li.
18 There were six branches on the lampstand, three on each side [of the shaft].
Li te gen yon branch nan mitan ak twa branch chak bò.
19 Each of the branches had on it three [gold decorations that looked like] almond blossoms. These decorations also had flower buds and [flower] petals.
Sou chak branch sou kote yo, te gen pòtre twa flè nwa kajou ak tout boujon yo sou yo. Konsa, konsa, sou tout sis branch sou kote yo.
20 On the [shaft of the] lampstand there were four [gold decorations that also looked like] almond blossoms, each one with flower buds and [flower] petals.
Sou branch mitan an te gen kat flè nwa kajou avèk tout boujon yo sou yo.
21 On each side, beneath and extending from each of the branches, there was one [flower] bud.
Te gen yon ti boujon anba chak pè branch sou kote yo.
22 All these [flower] buds and branches, along with the shaft, were hammered from one large lump of pure gold.
Boujon yo ak branch yo te fè yon sèl pyès ak pye lanp sèt branch lan. Se yon sèl moso lò yo bat pou fè tout.
23 Bezalel also made seven small cups [for holding oil. He put one cup on top of the shaft and he put the others on top of the branches]. He made from pure gold the tongs [for removing the burned wicks] and the trays [in which to put the burned wicks].
Li fè sèt ti lanp pou lanp sèt branch lan avèk pensèt pou netwaye lanp lan ak plato pou resevwa sann lan. Li fè yo ak pi bon lò ki genyen.
24 He used (75 pounds/35 kg.) of pure gold to make the lampstand and all the things that were used to take care of it.
Li te pran swasannkenz liv bon lò pou fè lanp sèt branch lan ansanm ak tout bagay pou sèvi ak lanp sèt branch lan.
25 From acacia wood, Bezalel made the altar [for burning] incense. It was square, (18 in./45 cm.) on each side. It was (3 ft./90 cm.) high. He made [a projection that looked like] a horn on each of the top corners. The projections were carved from the same block of wood that the altar was made of.
Bezaleyèl fè lòtèl pou boule lansan an ak bwa zakasya. Li fè l' kare kare: dizwit pous lajè, dizwit pous longè, trannsis pous wotè. Kat kòn yo te fè yon sèl pyès ak lòtèl la.
26 He covered the top and the four sides, including the projections, with pure gold. He put a gold border around the altar, [near the top].
Bezaleyèl kouvri tout anwo lòtèl la, kat kote l' yo ansanm ak kat kòn li yo ak pi bon kalite lò ki genyen. Apre sa, li mete yon bòdi an lò fè wonn li.
27 He made two gold rings for carrying the altar. Then he attached them to the altar below the border, one on each side of the altar. The poles by means of which the altar was to be carried were to be inserted into those rings.
Li fè de bag an lò, li moute yo anba bòdi a sou de kote lòtèl la. Se nan bag sa yo pou yo pase manch ki pou sèvi pou pote lòtèl la.
28 He made those [two] poles from acacia wood and covered them with gold.
Li fè manch yo an bwa zakasya epi li kouvri yo nèt ak lò.
29 He also made the sacred oil for anointing and the pure sweet-smelling incense. He mixed the incense together as a skilled perfumer would.
Bezaleyèl fè lwil ki pou sèvi pou mete moun osinon nenpòt bagay apa pou Bondye a ansanm ak lansan santi bon an, jan moun ki konn fè odè avèk ladrès yo fè yo.
