Exodus 29

1 “This is what you must do to dedicate Aaron and his sons to serve me [by being] priests: Select one young bull and two rams that do not have any defects.

Questo è quello che farai per consacrarli perché mi esercitino l’ufficio di sacerdoti.

2 Bake three [kinds of bread] using finely-ground wheat flour, but without yeast: Bake some loaves that do not have any olive oil in them, bake some loaves that have olive oil in the dough, and bake some thin wafers that will be smeared with olive oil [after they are baked].

Prendi un giovenco e due montoni senza difetto, de’ pani senza lievito, delle focacce senza lievito impastate con olio, e delle gallette senza lievito unte d’olio; tutte queste cose farai di fior di farina di grano.

3 Put them in a basket and offer them [to me] when you sacrifice the young bull and the two rams.

Le metterai in un paniere, e le offrirai nel paniere al tempo stesso del giovenco e de’ due montoni.

4 Take Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the Sacred Tent, and wash them [ritually].

Farai avvicinare Aaronne e i suoi figliuoli all’ingresso della tenda di convegno, e li laverai con acqua.

5 Then put the special clothes on Aaron—the long-sleeved tunic/gown, the robe that will be worn underneath the sacred apron, the sacred apron, the sacred pouch, and the sash/waistband.

Poi prenderai i paramenti, e vestirai Aaronne della tunica, del manto dell’efod, dell’efod e del pettorale, e lo cingerai della cintura artistica dell’efod.

6 Place the turban on his head, and fasten to the turban the ornament that has the words ‘Dedicated to Yahweh’ engraved on it.

Gli porrai in capo la mitra, e metterai sulla mitra il santo diadema.

7 Then take the oil and pour some on his head to (dedicate him/set him apart).

Poi prenderai l’olio dell’unzione, glielo spanderai sul capo, e l’ungerai.

8 Then bring his sons and put the long-sleeved tunics/gowns on them.

Farai quindi accostare i suoi figliuoli, e li vestirai delle tuniche.

9 Put the sashes/waistbands around their waists and the caps on their heads. That is the ritual by which you are to (dedicate them/set them apart) to be priests. Aaron and his male descendants must serve me [by being] priests forever.

Cingerai Aaronne e i suoi figliuoli con delle cinture, e assicurerai sul loro capo delle tiare; e il sacerdozio apparterrà loro per legge perpetua. Così consacrerai Aaronne e i suoi figliuoli.

10 “Then bring the young bull to the entrance of the Sacred Tent. Tell Aaron and his sons to put their hands on the head of the young bull.

Poi farai accostare il giovenco davanti alla tenda di convegno; e Aaronne e i suoi figliuoli poseranno le mani sul capo del giovenco.

11 Then, while they do that, kill the young bull [by slitting its throat], and catch/drain the blood in a bowl.

E scannerai il giovenco davanti all’Eterno, all’ingresso della tenda di convegno.

12 Take some of that blood with your finger and smear it on the projections of the altar. Throw/Splash the rest of the blood against the base of the altar.

E prenderai del sangue del giovenco, e ne metterai col dito sui corni dell’altare, e spanderai tutto il sangue appiè dell’altare.

13 Take all the fat that covers the inner organs of the young bull, the best part of the liver, and the two kidneys with the fat on them, and burn all these on the altar [as an offering to me].

Prenderai pure tutto il grasso che copre le interiora, la rete ch’è sopra il fegato, i due arnioni e il grasso che v’è sopra, e farai fumar tutto sull’altare.

14 But the meat of the young bull and its hide and intestines must be burned outside the camp. That will be an offering to forgive the guilt of your sins.

Ma la carne del giovenco, la sua pelle e i suoi escrementi li brucerai col fuoco fuori del campo: è un sacrifizio per il peccato.

15 “Then select one of the rams, and tell Aaron and his sons to put their hands on the head of the ram.

Poi prenderai uno de’ montoni; e Aaronne e i suoi figliuoli poseranno le loro mani sul capo del montone.

16 Then kill the ram [by slitting its throat]. Catch/Drain some of the blood and splash it against all four sides of the altar.

E scannerai il montone, ne prenderai il sangue, e lo spanderai sull’altare, tutto all’intorno.

17 Then cut the ram into pieces. Wash its inner organs and its rear legs and put those with the head

Poi farai a pezzi il montone, laverai le sue interiora e le sue gambe, e le metterai sui pezzi e sulla sua testa.

18 and burn those pieces [completely] on the altar with the rest of the ram. That will be an offering to me, Yahweh, and the smell will please me.

E farai fumare tutto il montone sull’altare: è un olocausto all’Eterno; è un sacrifizio di soave odore fatto mediante il fuoco all’Eterno.

19 “Take the other ram [that was selected for these rituals], and tell Aaron and his sons to put their hands on the ram’s head.

Poi prenderai l’altro montone, e Aaronne e i suoi figliuoli poseranno le loro mani sul capo dei montone.

20 Then kill the ram by slitting its throat, and drain the blood [into a bowl]. Smear some of the blood on the lobe of the right ears of Aaron and his sons, and on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the big toes of their right feet. Throw/Splash the rest of the blood against the four sides of the altar.

Scannerai il montone, prenderai del suo sangue e lo metterai sull’estremità dell’orecchio destro d’Aaronne e sull’estremità dell’orecchio destro de’ suoi figliuoli, e sul pollice della loro man destra e sul dito grosso del loro piè destro, e spanderai il sangue sull’altare, tutto all’intorno.

21 Wipe up some of the blood that is on the altar, mix it with some of the oil for anointing, and sprinkle it on Aaron and his clothes, and on his sons and their clothes. By doing that, you will dedicate them and their clothes [to me].

E prenderai del sangue che è sull’altare, e dell’olio dell’unzione, e ne aspergerai Aaronne e i suoi paramenti, e i suoi figliuoli e i paramenti de’ suoi figliuoli con lui. Così saranno consacrati lui, i suoi paramenti, i suoi figliuoli e i loro paramenti con lui.

22 “Also, cut off the ram’s fat and its fat tail and the fat that covers the inner organs, the best part of the liver, the two kidneys with the fat on them, and the right thigh.

Prenderai pure il grasso dei montone, la coda, il grasso che copre le interiora, la rete del fegato, i due arnioni e il grasso che v’è sopra e la coscia destra, perché è un montone di consacrazione;

23 Take also one of each of the kinds of bread [that was baked]—one made with no oil, one with oil, and one thin wafer.

prenderai anche un pane, una focaccia oliata e una galletta dal paniere degli azzimi che è davanti all’Eterno;

24 Put all these things in the hands of Aaron and his sons. [Then tell them to] lift them up [high] to dedicate them to me.

e porrai tutte queste cose sulle palme delle mani Aaronne e sulle palme delle mani de’ suoi figliuoli, e le agiterai come offerta agitata davanti all’Eterno.

25 Then take them from their hands and burn them on the altar, on top of the other things [that were placed there]. That [also] will be an offering to me, and its smell will please me.

Poi le prenderai dalle loro mani e le farai fumare sull’altare sopra l’olocausto, come un profumo soave davanti all’Eterno; è un sacrifizio fatto mediante il fuoco all’Eterno.

26 Then take the meat of the ribs of the second ram that was killed, and lift it up [high] as an offering to me. But then this part of the animal will be for you [to eat].

E prenderai il petto del montone che avrà servito alla consacrazione d’Aaronne, e lo agiterai come offerta agitata davanti all’Eterno; e questa sarà la tua parte.

27 Then take the meat of the ribs, the other thigh of the first ram that was sacrificed to (dedicate/set apart) the priests, and the ram whose other parts were lifted high to show that they were an offering to me; and set the meat of the ribs and thigh apart for Aaron and his sons, for them to eat.

E consacrerai, di ciò che spetta ad Aaronne e ai suoi figliuoli, il petto dell’offerta agitata e la coscia dell’offerta elevata: vale a dire, ciò che del montone della consacrazione sarà stato agitato ed elevato;

28 In the future, whenever the Israeli people present to me, Yahweh, offerings to maintain fellowship with me, the ribs and the thigh [of animals that they sacrifice] will be for Aaron and his male descendants [to eat].

esso apparterrà ad Aaronne e ai suoi figliuoli, per legge perpetua da osservarsi dai figliuoli d’Israele; poiché è un’offerta fatta per elevazione. Sarà un’offerta fatta per elevazione dai figliuoli d’Israele nei loro sacrifizi di azioni di grazie: la loro offerta per elevazione sarà per l’Eterno.

29 “After Aaron [dies], the special clothes that he wore will belong to his sons. They are to wear those clothes when they are (set apart/dedicated) [to become priests].

E i paramenti sacri di Aaronne saranno, dopo di lui, per i suoi figliuoli, che se li metteranno all’atto della loro unzione e della loro consacrazione.

30 Aaron’s son who becomes The Supreme Priest and enters the Sacred Tent and performs rituals in the Holy Place must [stay in the Sacred Tent], wearing these special clothes, for seven days.

Quello de’ suoi figliuoli che gli succederà nel sacerdozio, li indosserà per sette giorni quando entrerà nella tenda di convegno per fare il servizio nel luogo santo.

31 “Take the meat of the other ram that was sacrificed to (set apart/dedicate) Aaron and his sons, and boil it in the courtyard.

Poi prenderai il montone della consacrazione, e ne farai cuocere la carne in un luogo santo;

32 After it is cooked, Aaron and his sons must eat it, along with the bread that is left in the basket, at the entrance of the Sacred Tent.

e Aaronne e i suoi figliuoli mangeranno, all’ingresso della tenda di convegno, la carne del montone e il pane che sarà nel paniere.

33 They must eat the meat of the ram that was sacrificed to forgive them for [their sins] when they were dedicated to do this work. They are the only ones who are permitted to eat this meat. [Those who are not priests are not allowed to eat it], because it is dedicated to me.

Mangeranno le cose che avranno servito a fare l’espiazione per consacrarli e santificarli; ma nessun estraneo ne mangerà, perché son cose sante.

34 If any of this meat or some of the bread is not eaten that night, no one is permitted to eat any of it the next day. It must be completely burned, because it is sacred/dedicated to me.

E se rimarrà della carne della consacrazione o del pane fino alla mattina dopo, brucerai quel resto col fuoco; non lo si mangerà, perché è cosa santa.

35 “Those are the rituals that you(sg) must perform during those seven days when you dedicate Aaron and his sons for this work. You must do everything that I have commanded you.

Eseguirai dunque, riguardo ad Aaronne e ai suoi figliuoli, tutto quello che ti ho ordinato: li consacrerai durante sette giorni.

36 Each of those seven days you must also sacrifice a young bull as an offering to me, in order that I may forgive sins. Also, you must make another offering (to make the altar pure in my sight/in order that I will consider the altar to be pure). You must also anoint the altar with olive oil, to (set it apart/dedicate it).

E ogni giorno offrirai un giovenco, come sacrifizio per il peccato, per fare l’espiazione; purificherai l’altare mediante questa tua espiazione, e l’ungerai per consacrarlo.

37 Perform these rituals every day for seven days, to (set apart/dedicate) the altar and make it pure. If you do not do that, anyone or anything that touches the altar will become taboo.

Per sette giorni farai l’espiazione dell’altare, e lo santificherai; l’altare sarà santissimo: tutto ciò che toccherà l’altare sarà santo.

38 “You must also sacrifice lambs and burn them on the altar. Each of those [seven] days you must sacrifice two lambs.

Or questo è ciò che offrirai sull’altare: due agnelli d’un anno, ogni giorno, del continuo.

39 One lamb must be sacrificed in the morning, and one must be sacrificed in the evening.

Uno degli agnelli l’offrirai la mattina; e l’altro l’offrirai sull’imbrunire.

40 With the first lamb, also offer (2 pounds/1 kilogram) of finely-ground wheat flour mixed with one quart/liter of the best kind of olive oil, and one quart/liter of wine as an offering.

Col primo agnello offrirai la decima parte di un efa di fior di farina impastata con la quarta parte di un hin d’olio vergine, e una libazione di un quarto di hin di vino.

41 In the evening, when you sacrifice the other lamb, offer the same amounts of flour, olive oil, and wine as you did in the morning. This will be an offering to me, Yahweh, that will be burned, and its smell will please me.

Il secondo agnello l’offrirai sull’imbrunire; l’accompagnerai con la stessa oblazione e con la stessa libazione della mattina; è un sacrifizio di profumo soave offerto mediante il fuoco all’Eterno.

42 You [and your descendants] must continue making these offerings to me, Yahweh, throughout all future generations. You must offer them at the entrance of the Sacred Tent. That is where I will meet with you and speak to you.

Sarà un olocausto perpetuo offerto dai vostri discendenti, all’ingresso della tenda di convegno, davanti all’Eterno, dove io v’incontrerò per parlar quivi con te.

43 That is where I will meet with the Israeli people, and the brilliant light of my presence will cause that place to be holy/sacred.

E là io mi troverò coi figliuoli d’Israele; e la tenda sarà santificata dalla mia gloria.

44 I will dedicate the Sacred Tent and the altar. I will also dedicate Aaron and his sons to serve me [by being] priests.

E santificherò la tenda di convegno e l’altare; anche Aaronne e i suoi figliuoli santificherò, perché mi esercitino l’ufficio di sacerdoti.

45 I will live among the Israeli people, and I will be their God.

E dimorerò in mezzo ai figliuoli d’Israele e sarò il loro Dio.

46 They will know that I, Yahweh their God, am the one who brought them out of Egypt in order that I might live among them.”

Ed essi conosceranno che io sono l’Eterno, l’Iddio loro, che li ho tratti dal paese d’Egitto per dimorare tra loro. Io sono l’Eterno, l’Iddio loro.
