Exodus 28

1 “Summon your [older] brother Aaron and his sons—Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. ([Set them apart/They are the ones whom I have chosen]) from [the rest of] the Israeli people, in order that they can serve me [by being] priests.

Ug dad-on mo duol kanimo si Aaron nga imong igsoon, ug ang iyang mga anak nga lalake uban kaniya, gikan sa taliwala sa mga anak sa Israel, aron siya magaalagad kanako sa katungdanan sa pagka-sacerdote, bisan si Aaron, si Nadab ug si Abiu, si Eleasar ug si Itamar, mga anak nga lalake ni Aaron.

2 [Tell the people to] make beautiful clothes for Aaron, clothes that are [suitable for one who] has this dignified and sacred [work].

Ug magbuhat ka ug mga bisti nga balaan alang kang Aaron nga imong igsoon, alang sa himaya ug alang sa katahum.

3 Talk to all the skilled workmen, those to whom I have given special ability. [Tell them] to make clothes for Aaron, for him to wear when he is (set apart/dedicated) [to become] a priest to serve me.

Ug sultihan mo ang tanan nga mga masinabuton ug kasingkasing, sila nga akong gipuno sa espiritu sa kinaadman, aron magbuhat sila sa mga bisti ni Aaron, aron sa pagbalaan kaniya aron siya mag-alagad kanako sa katungdanan sa pagka-sacerdote.

4 These are the clothes that they are to make: A sacred pouch for Aaron to wear over his chest, a sacred apron, a robe, an embroidered tunic/gown, a (turban/cloth to wrap around his head), and a sash/waistband. These are the clothes that your [older] brother Aaron and his sons must wear as they serve me [by doing the work that] priests do.

Ug mao kini ang mga bisti nga pagabuhaton nila: ang tabon sa dughan, ug ang ephod, ug ang kupo, ug ang bisti nga binoldahan, ang mitra, ug ang bakus. Ug magabuhat sila ug mga bisti nga balaan alang kang Aaron nga imong igsoon, ug sa iyang mga anak nga lalake aron manag-alagad sila kanako sa katungdanan sa pagka-sacerdote.

5 The skilled workmen must use fine linen and blue, purple, and red yarn/thread to make these clothes.”

Ug magakuha sila ug bulawan, ug azul ug purpura, ug mapula, ug lino nga fino nga linubid.

6 “The skilled workmen must make the sacred apron from fine linen, and skillfully embroider it with blue, purple, and red yarn/thread.

Ug magbuhat sila ug ephod nga bulawan, ug azul, ug purpura ug mapula, ug lino nga fino nga linubid nga buhat sa mga batid nga magbubuhat.

7 It must have two shoulder straps, to join the front part to the back part.

Kini butangan ug duruha ka patalay sa abaga nga magatakdo sa duruha ka tumoy aron kini magatakdo.

8 A carefully-woven sash, which must be made from the same materials as the sacred apron, must be [sewn] onto the sacred apron.

Ug ang maayong pagkahabol nga igbubugkos, nga anaa sa ibabaw niini, nga maoy ikabakus niini magasama sa pagbuhat niini ug ang mao gayud nga butang; sa bulawan, sa azul ug sa purpura, ug sa mapula, ug lino nga fino nga linubid.

9 [A skilled workman] must take two [expensive] onyx stones and engrave on them the names of the twelve sons of Jacob.

Ug magakuha ka ug duruha ka bato nga onyx ug ikulit mo kanila ang mga ngalan sa mga anak ni Israel.

10 He must engrave the names in the order in which Jacob’s sons were born. He must engrave six names on one stone, and the other six names on the other stone.

Ang unom sa ilang mga ngalan ikulit sa usa ka bato, ug ang unom ka ngalan nga nahibilin, ikulit sa usa ka bato, ingon sa natawohan nila.

11 A gem-cutter should engrave these names on the stones. Then he should enclose the stones in (settings/tiny gold frames).

Uban sa buhat sa magkukulit sa bato, sama sa pagkulit sa singsing, pagakulitan mo ang duruha ka bato sa mga ngalan sa mga anak ni Israel; buhatan mo sila ug engaste nga bulawan.

12 Then he should fasten the stones onto the shoulder straps [of the sacred apron], to represent the twelve Israeli tribes. In that way, Aaron will carry the names of the tribes on his shoulders in order that [I], Yahweh, will never forget [my people] (OR, in order that [he will always] remember that [those tribes belong to] Yahweh).

Ug igabutang mo kadtong duruha ka bato sa ibabaw sa mga bisti dapit sa abaga sa ephod, aron mahimong mga bato nga handumanan sa mga anak ni Israel, ug si Aaron magadala sa mga ngalan nila sa atubangan ni Jehova sa iyang duruha ka abaga alang sa usa ka handumanan;

13 The settings for the stones must be made from gold.

Ug magabuhat ka ug mga engaste nga bulawan,

14 [Tell them to] make two tiny chains that are braided like cords, and fasten the chains to the settings.”

Ug duruha ka talikala nga magagmay nga lunsay bulawan; nga kini buhaton mo sa dagway sa sinalapid, ug igataod mo ang mga talikala sa dagway nga sinalapid sa mga engaste.

15 “[Tell the skilled workman to] make a sacred pouch for Aaron to wear over his chest. [He will use the things he puts into the pouch] to determine [my answers to the questions he asks]. It must be made of the same materials as the sacred apron, and embroidered in the same way.

Ug magabuhat ka ug tabon sa dughan alang sa paghukom, nga buhat sa batid nga magbubuhat, sama sa pagkabuhat sa ephod pagabuhaton mo kini sa bulawan, sa azul ug sa purpura, ug sa mapula ug sa lino nga fino nga linubid.

16 It is to be square, and the material must be folded double, so that it is (9 in./22 cm.) on each side.

Kini himoon nga maglaro ug pinilo; nga usa ka dangaw ang gitas-on niini ug usa ka dangaw ang gilapdon niini:

17 [The skilled workman must] fasten four rows of valuable stones onto the pouch. In the first row he must put a [red] ruby, a [yellow] topaz, and a [red] garnet.

Ug pagapun-on mo kini sa mga engaste nga bato, sa upat ka laray sa mga bato: usa ka laray sa usa ka bato nga sardio, usa ka bato nga topacio, ug usa ka bato nga carbunclo mao ang nahauna nga laray:

18 In the second row he must put a [green] emerald, a [blue] sapphire, and a [clear/white] diamond.

Ug ang ikaduha nga laray usa ka esmeralda, usa ka zafiro, ug usa ka diamante.

19 In the third row he must put a [red] jacinth, a [white] agate, and a [purple] amethyst.

Ug ang ikatolo ka laray, usa ka rubi, usa ka agata, ug usa ka amatista:

20 In the fourth row he must put a [yellow] beryl, a [red] carnelian, and a [green] jasper.

Ug ang ikaupat ka laray, usa ka berilo, usa ka onyx, ug usa ka jaspe: kini igalubong sa bulawan sa ilang mga engaste.

21 A gem-cutter should engrave on each of these twelve stones the name of one of the sons of Jacob. These names will represent the twelve Israeli tribes.

Ug kadtong mga batoha ingon sa mga ngalan sa mga anak ni Israel, napulo ug duha ingon sa ilang mga ngalan: sama sa mga kulit sa usa ka singsing, ang tagsatagsa sumala sa iyang ngalan, nga himoon kini alang sa napulo ug duha ka banay.

22 The two [chains] that are made from pure gold and braided like cords are for [attaching] the sacred pouch [to the sacred apron].

Ug magbuhat ka usab sa ibabaw sa tabon sa dughan ug mga talikala nga magagmay nga sama sa pisi nga sinawalo nga lunsay bulawan.

23 [The workman must] make two gold rings, and attach them to the upper corners of the sacred pouch.

Ug magabuhat ka sa tabon sa dughan ug duruha ka singsing nga bulawan ug ang duruha ka singsing igabutang mo sa duruha ka tumoy sa tabon sa dughan.

24 [He must make] two gold cords, and fasten one end of each cord to one of the rings.

Ug igabutang mo ang duruha ka sinalapid nga bulawan sa duruha ka limbo sa tabon sa dughan.

25 He must fasten the other end of each cord to the two settings [that enclose the stones]. In that way, the sacred pouch will be attached to the shoulder straps of the sacred apron.

Ug ang lain nga duruha ka tumoy sa duruha ka linubid nga sa ibabaw sa duruha ka engaste, ug ibutang mo kini sa mga kilid dapit sa abaga sa ephod sa dapit sa atubangan niini.

26 Then [he must] make two more gold rings, and attach them to the lower corners of the sacred pouch, on the inside edges, next to the sacred apron.

Ug magbuhat ka ug duruha ka singsing nga bulawan, ug igabutang mo kini sa duruha ka limbo sa tabon sa dughan sa sidsid niini nga dapit sa kilid sa ephod sa dapit sa sulod.

27 [He must] make two more gold rings, and attach them to the lower part of the front of the shoulder straps, near to where [the shoulder straps] are joined [to the sacred apron], just above the carefully-woven sash/waistband.

Ug magabuhat ka ug duruha ka singsing nga bulawan, ug igabutang mo kini sa duruha ka kilid sa ephod sa ilalum nga dapit sa atubangan, sa atubangan sa iyang tinakdoan sa ibabaw sa maayong pagkahabol nga bakus sa ephod.

28 The skilled workman must tie the rings on the sacred pouch to the rings on the sacred apron with a blue cord, so that the sacred pouch is above the sash/waistband and does not come loose from the sacred apron.

Ug kini magahigut sa tabon sa dughan uban ang mga singsing niini ngadto sa mga singsing sa ephod uban sa usa ka sinawalo nga azul, aron kini anha sa ibabaw sa maayong pagkahabol nga bakus sa ephod, ug aron ang tabon sa dughan dili mahabulag gikan sa ephod.

29 In that way, Aaron will have the names of the twelve Israeli tribes in the sacred pouch close to his chest when he enters the Holy Place. This will remind him that I, Yahweh, [will never forget my people] (OR, [that he represents my people when he talks to me, Yahweh]).

Ug pagadad-on ni Aaron ang mga ngalan sa mga anak ni Israel diha sa tabon sa dughan sa paghukom, sa ibabaw sa iyang kasingkasing, kong mosulod siya sa dapit nga labing balaan, alang sa usa ka handumanan sa atubangan ni Jehova sa kanunay.

30 Put into the sacred pouch the two things that the priest will use to determine my answers to the questions he asks. In that way, they will be close to his chest when he enters [the Holy Place to talk] to me. He will use them to find out what is my will for the Israeli people.”

Ug igabutang mo diha sa tabon sa dughan sa paghukom ang Urim ug ang Thummim; ug kini anha sa ibabaw sa kasingkasing ni Aaron kong mosulod siya sa atubangan ni Jehova; ug si Aaron magadala sa paghukom sa mga anak sa Israel sa ibabaw sa iyang kasingkasing sa atubangan ni Jehova sa kanunay.

31 “[Tell the workmen to] use only blue [cloth] to make the robe that is to be worn underneath the priest’s sacred apron.

Ug magbuhat ka ug bisti nga hataas nga sa ephod nga lubos azul.

32 It is to have an opening through which [the priest] can put his head. They must sew a border around this opening, to keep the material from tearing.

Ug kini may usa ka liab alang sa ulo sa taliwala niini; nga adunay usa ka ribete maglibut sa liab nga buhat nga hinabol, ingon sa liab sa usa ka kamisin, aron kini dili magisi.

33 At the lower edge on the robe, they must fasten [decorations that look like] pomegranate fruit. They must be [woven from] blue, purple, and red yarn/thread.

Ug sa iyang mga sidsid buhatan mo ug mga granada, nga azul ug purpura ug mapula sa iyang mga daplin maglibut, ug mga campanilla nga bulawan sa taliwala nila nga maglibut.

34 Between each of these decorations, they must fasten a tiny gold bell.

Usa ka campanilla nga bulawan ug usa ka granada, usa ka campanilla nga bulawan ug usa ka granada sa mga sidsid sa bisti nga hataas maglibut.

35 When Aaron enters the Holy Place [in the Sacred Tent] to do his work as a priest and when he leaves the Sacred Tent, the bells will ring [as he walks]. As a result, he will not die [because of disobeying my instructions].

Ug kini anha sa ibabaw ni Aaron kong siya magaalagad; ug hidunggan ang tingog niini kong siya magasulod sa dapit nga balaan sa atubangan ni Jehova, ug sa mogula siya aron siya dili mamatay.

36 “[Tell them to] make a tiny ornament of pure gold, and tell a (skilled workman/gem-cutter) to engrave on it the words, ‘Dedicated to Yahweh.’

Ug magabuhat ka ug usa ka binakbak nga lunsay bulawan, ug pagakulitan kini sama sa pagkulit sa usa ka singsing, BALAAN KANG JEHOVA.

37 They should fasten this ornament to the front of the turban by a blue cord.

Ug igabutang mo kini sa ibabaw sa usa ka sinawalo nga azul, ug anha kini sa ibabaw sa mitra; sa atubangan sa mitra anha kini.

38 Aaron must always wear this on his forehead. In that way, Aaron himself will show [that he accepts] the guilt if the Israeli people offer [their sacrifices] to me in a way that is not correct, and I, Yahweh, will accept their sacrifices.

Ug anha kini sa ibabaw sa agtang ni Aaron, ug si Aaron magadala sa pagkadautan sa mga butang nga balaan, nga pagabalaanon sa mga anak sa Israel diha sa tanan nga ilang mga halad nga balaan; ug kini anha sa ibabaw sa iyang agtang kanunay aron sila pagadawaton sa atubangan ni Jehova.

39 “[Tell them to] weave the long-sleeved tunic/gown from fine linen. Also, they must make from fine linen a turban and a sash/waistband, and embroider [designs on it].

Ug maghabol ka ug usa ka bisti nga hataas nga lino, ug magbuhat ka ug usa ka mitra nga lino; magbuhat ka usab ug usa ka bakus nga buhat sa magbobolda.

40 “[Tell them to] make beautiful long-sleeved tunics/gowns, sashes, and caps for Aaron’s sons. Make ones that will be suitable for those who have this dignified work.

Ug alang sa mga anak nga lalake ni Aaron magbuhat ka ug mga bisti nga hatag-as; buhatan mo usab sila ug mga bakus, ug himoan mo ug mga bonete alang sa himaya ug katahum.

41 Put these clothes on your [older] brother Aaron and on his sons. Then (set them apart/dedicate them) for this work by anointing them [with olive oil], in order that they may serve me [by being] priests.

Ug isul-ob mo kini kang Aaron nga imong igsoon, ug sa iyang mga anak uban kaniya: ug dihogan mo sila, gahinon mo sila, ug balaanon mo sila, aron sila magaalagad kanako sa katungdanan sa pagka-sacerdote.

42 Also [tell them to] make linen undershorts for them. The undershorts should extend from their waists to their thighs, in order that no one can see their private parts.

Ug buhatan mo sila ug mga sapaw nga lino sa pagtabon sa ilang pagkahubo; nga magatabon sukad sa mga hawak hangtud sa mga paa.

43 Aaron and his sons must always wear those undershorts when they enter the Sacred Tent or when they come near to the altar to offer sacrifices in the Holy Place. If they do not obey this command, I will cause them to die. Aaron and all his male descendants must obey this rule forever.”

Ug igasul-ob kini kang Aaron ug sa iyang mga anak nga lalake kong sila mosulod sa balong-balong nga pagatiguman, sa diha nga moduol sila sa halaran aron sa pag-alagad sa dapit nga balaan; aron dili sila magdala ug kadautan, ug mangamatay: Kini mamahimong tulomanon nga walay katapusan alang kaniya ug sa iyang kaliwatan sa ulahi niya.
