Exodus 25
1 Yahweh said to Moses/me, “There [are many things that I want] you to tell to the Israeli people.
Et l'Eternel parla à Moïse, en disant:
2 Tell them that they must give offerings/gifts to me. Receive from the people every offering/gift that they want to give to me.
Parle aux enfants d'Israël, et qu'on prenne une offrande pour moi. Vous prendrez mon offrande de tout homme, dont le cœur [me] l'offrira volontairement.
3 These are the things that they may offer/give: Gold, silver, bronze,
Et c'est ici l'offrande que vous prendrez d'eux, de l'or, de l'argent, de l'airain,
4 blue, purple, and scarlet yarn/wool, fine (linen/white cloth), goats’ hair for making [cloth],
De la pourpre, de l'écarlate, du cramoisi, du fin lin, des poils de chèvres,
5 rams’ skins that have been (tanned/dyed red), goatskins, [hard] wood from acacia [trees],
Des peaux de moutons teintes en rouge, des peaux de taissons, du bois de Sittim,
6 olive oil [to burn] in the lamps, spices to [put in] the olive oil for anointing [the priests] and in the sweet-smelling incense,
De l'huile pour le luminaire, des odeurs aromatiques pour l'huile de l'onction, des drogues pour le parfum,
7 [expensive quartz] stones [called] onyx, and other expensive stones to be fastened [to the priest’s vest] and put on the pouches [that are to be fastened to the vest].
Des pierres d'Onyx, et des pierres de remplages pour l'Ephod et pour le Pectoral,
8 Tell the people to make a big Sacred Tent for me, so that I can live in it among them.
Et ils me feront un Sanctuaire, et j'habiterai au milieu d'eux.
9 They must make the Sacred Tent and all the things that will be used inside it according to the plan/model that I will show you.”
[Ils le feront] conformément à tout ce que je te vais montrer, selon le patron du pavillon, et [selon] le patron de tous ses ustensiles; vous le ferez donc ainsi.
10 “[Tell the people to] make a [sacred] chest from acacia wood. It is to be (45 in./110 cm.) long, (27 in./66 cm.) wide, and (27 in./66 cm.) high.
Et ils feront une Arche de bois de Sittim; et sa longueur sera de deux coudées et demie, et sa largeur d'une coudée et demie, et sa hauteur d'une coudée et demie.
11 Cover it with pure gold inside and outside, and put a gold border around the top of it.
Et tu la couvriras de pur or, tu l'[en] couvriras par dehors et par-dedans; et tu feras sur elle un couronnement d'or tout autour.
12 [They must] make/cast four rings from gold and fasten them to the legs of the chest. Put two rings on each side of the chest.
Et tu fondras pour elle quatre anneaux d'or, que tu mettras à ses quatre coins, deux anneaux à l'un de ses côtés, et deux autres à l'autre côté.
13 [They must] make [two] poles from acacia wood, and they must cover them with gold.
Tu feras aussi des barres de bois de Sittim, et tu les couvriras d'or.
14 [They must] put the poles into the rings on the sides of the chest, so that the chest can be carried by the poles.
Puis tu feras entrer les barres dans les anneaux aux côtés de l'Arche, pour porter l'Arche avec elles.
15 The poles must always be left in the rings; they must not take the poles out [of the rings].
Les barres seront dans les anneaux de l'Arche, et on ne les en tirera point.
16 Put inside the chest the [two stone slabs that I will give you, on which] I have written my commandments.
Et tu mettras dans l'Arche le Témoignage que je te donnerai.
17 [Tell them to] make a lid for the chest from pure gold. [It will be the place where I will] forgive people’s sins. It [also] is to be (45 in./110 cm.) long and (27 in./66 cm.) wide.
Tu feras aussi un Propitiatoire de pur or, dont la longueur sera de deux coudées et demie, et la largeur d'une coudée et demie.
18 [Tell them to] hammer [huge lump of] gold into the form of two creatures that have wings.
Et tu feras deux Chérubins d'or; tu les feras d'ouvrage étendu au marteau, [tiré] des deux bouts du Propitiatoire.
19 One of these is to be put at each end of the chest, but the gold [from which] they [are made] must be joined to the gold from which the lid [is made].
Fais donc un Chérubin tiré du bout de deçà, et l'autre Chérubin du bout de delà: vous ferez les Chérubins tirés du Propitiatoire sur ses deux bouts.
20 [Tell them to place the] winged creatures so that their wings touch each other and spread out over the lid.
Et les Chérubins étendront les ailes en haut, couvrant de leurs ailes le Propitiatoire, et leurs faces seront vis-à-vis l'une de l'autre; et le regard des Chérubins sera vers le Propitiatoire.
21 Put inside the chest the stone slabs that I will give you. Then fasten the lid onto the top of the chest.
Et tu poseras le Propitiatoire au-dessus de l'Arche, et tu mettras dans l'Arche le Témoignage que je te donnerai.
22 I will set times to talk with you there. From above the lid of the chest, between the two winged creatures, I will tell to you all my laws that [you must tell] to the Israeli people.”
Et je me trouverai là avec toi, et je te dirai de dessus le Propitiatoire, d'entre les deux Chérubins qui seront sur l'Arche du Témoignage, toutes les choses que je te commanderai pour les enfants d'Israël.
23 “[Tell them to] make a table from acacia wood. It is to be (36 in./88 cm.) long, (18 in./66 cm.) wide, and (27 in./66 cm.) high.
Tu feras aussi une table de bois de Sittim: sa longueur sera de deux coudées, et sa largeur d'une coudée, et sa hauteur d'une coudée et demie.
24 [Tell them to] cover it with pure gold and put a gold border around it.
Tu la couvriras de pur or, et tu lui feras un couronnement d'or à l’entour.
25 [Tell them to] make a rim all around it, (3 in./7.5 cm.) wide, and put a gold border around the rim.
Tu lui feras aussi à l’entour une clôture d'une paume, et tout autour de sa clôture tu feras un couronnement d'or.
26 [Tell them to] make/cast four rings from gold and fasten the rings to the four corners of the table, one ring close to each leg [of the table].
Tu lui feras aussi quatre anneaux d'or, que tu mettras aux quatre coins, qui seront à ses quatre pieds.
27 The rings should be fastened to the table near the rim.
Les anneaux seront à l'endroit de la clôture, afin d'y mettre les barres pour porter la table.
28 Make two poles from acacia wood and cover them with gold. The poles for carrying the table are to be inserted in the rings.
Tu feras les barres de bois de Sittim, et tu les couvriras d'or, et on portera la table avec elles.
29 Also [tell them to] make plates, cups, jars, and bowls to be used [when the priests] pour out wine [to offer to me]. They must all be made from pure gold.
Tu feras aussi ses plats, ses tasses, ses gobelets, et ses bassins, avec lesquels on fera les aspersions; tu les feras de pur or.
30 On the table, in front of the chest, there must always be the loaves of sacred bread [that the priests have offered] to me.”
Et tu mettras sur cette table le pain de proposition, continuellement devant moi.
31 “[Tell them to] make a lampstand from pure gold. They must hammer [one large lump of] gold to make its base and its shaft. [The branches of the lampstand], the cups for holding the oil, the flower buds and the [flower] petals [that decorate the branches of the lamp, the base, and the shaft are all to be hammered from] one [big] lump of gold.
Tu feras aussi un chandelier de pur or; le chandelier sera étendu au marteau; sa tige et ses branches, ses plats, ses pommeaux, et ses fleurs, seront [tirés] de lui.
32 There are to be six branches on the lampstand, three on each side [of the shaft].
Six branches sortiront de ses côtés; trois branches d'un côté du chandelier, et trois autres de l'autre côté du chandelier.
33 Each of the branches is to have on it three [gold decorations that will look like] almond blossoms. These decorations must also have flower buds and [flower] petals.
Il y aura en une des branches trois petits plats en forme d'amande, un pommeau et une fleur; en l'autre branche trois petits plats en forme d'amande, un pommeau et une fleur; [il en sera] de même des six branches procédant du chandelier.
34 On the [shaft of the] lampstand there are to be four [gold decorations that also look like] almond blossoms, each one with flower buds and petals.
Il y aura aussi au chandelier quatre petits plats en forme d'amande, ses pommeaux et ses fleurs.
35 On each side, there is to be one [flower] bud beneath each of the branches.
Un pommeau sous deux branches [tirées] du chandelier, un pommeau sous deux [autres] branches [tirées] de lui, et un pommeau sous deux [autres] branches tirées de lui; il [en sera] de même des six branches procédant du chandelier.
36 All these buds and branches, along with the shaft, are to be hammered from one large lump of pure gold.
Leurs pommeaux et leurs branches seront [tirés] de lui, [et] tout le chandelier sera un seul ouvrage étendu au marteau, [et] de pur or.
37 Also [tell them to] make seven small cups [for holding oil. One is to be put on top of the shaft and the others are to be put on top of the branches]. Place these cups so that [when the lamps are lit], the light will shine toward the (front of the lampstand/entrance).
Tu feras aussi ses sept lampes, et on les allumera, afin qu'elles éclairent vis-à-vis du chandelier.
38 [Tell them to] make tongs from pure gold, [to remove the burned wicks] and trays [in which to put the burned wicks].
Et ses mouchettes, et ses creuseaux seront de pur or.
39 [Tell them to] use (75 pounds/35 kg.) of pure gold to make the lampstand and the tongs and the trays.
On le fera avec tous ses ustensiles d'un talent de pur or.
40 Make sure that they make these things according to the instructions that I am giving you [here] on [this] mountain.”
Regarde donc, et fais selon le patron qui t'est montré en la montagne.
