Deuteronomy 3
1 “Then we turned [north] and went toward the Bashan region. Og, the king [of that area], and all his soldiers marched [south] to fight against us at Edrei [town].
Unya miliko kita ug mitungas paingon sa Bashan. Apan si Og, ang hari sa Bashan, miabot ug miataki kanato, siya ug ang tanan niyang katawhan, aron makig-away didto sa Edrei.
2 Yahweh said to me, ‘Do not be afraid of him, because I will enable your [army] to defeat [MTY] him and all his army and to capture all their land. Do to him what you did to Sihon, the king of the Amor people-group, who ruled in Heshbon [city].’
Miingon si Yahweh kanako, 'Ayaw kahadlok kaniya, kay gihatag ko kaninyo ang kadaogan batok kaniya ug ang pagdumala sa iyang katawhan ug sa iyang kayutaan. Buhaton ninyo kaniya ang sama sa inyong gibuhat kang Sihon, ang hari sa Amorihanon, nga nagpuyo sa Heshbon.'
3 “So Yahweh enabled us to defeat [IDM] King Og and all his army. We killed them all; we did not allow any of them to remain alive.
Busa gihatagan kita ni Yahweh nga atong Dios ug kadaogan kang Og ang hari sa Bashan, ug nabutang ilalom sa atong pagdumala ang iyang katawhan. Unya gipatay nato siya hangtod nga walay bisan usa nga nahibilin sa tibuok niyang katawhan.
4 There were 60 cities in that region near Argob, in King Og’s kingdom of Bashan. But we captured all of them
Gikuha usab nato ang tanan niyang siyudad niadtong panahona; walay bisan usa ka siyudad nga wala nato nailog gikan kanila: 60 ka siyudad—ang tanan nga rehiyon sa Argob, ang gingharian ni Og sa Bashan.
5 All those cities had high walls [around them] with gates and bars. We also captured many villages that did not have walls [around them].
Kini nga mga siyudad adunay tag-as nga mga pader, mga ganghaan ug mga rehas; gawas pa kini niadtong daghang mga baryo nga walay pader.
6 We completely destroyed everything, just as we had done [in the area that] King Sihon ruled. We killed all the men, women, and children.
Gigun-ob nato sila pag-ayo, sama sa atong gibuhat kang Sihon nga hari sa Heshbon, giguba ang matag siyudad— ang kalalakin-an ug gagmayng mga bata.
7 But from those cities we took for ourselves all the livestock and other valuable things.
Apan ang mga baka ug ang tanang kabtangan sa siyudad, gikuha nato kini ingon nga atong mga kabtangan alang sa atong mga kaugalingon.
8 “So at that time we took from those two kings of the Amor people-group all the land east of the Jordan [River], from the Arnon [River] gorge [in the south] to Hermon Mountain [in the north].”
Nianang panahona giilog nato ang yuta gikan sa kamot sa duha ka hari sa mga Amorihanon, nga nahimutang tabok sa Jordan, gikan sa walog sa Arnon hangtod sa Bukid nga Hermon
9 (That mountain is called Sirion by the people of Sidon [city] and is called Senir by the Amor people-group.)
(Ginganlan sa mga Sidonihanon ang Bukid nga Hermon ug Sirion, unya ginganlan kini sa mga Amorihanon nga Senir)
10 “We captured all the towns on the (plateau/high level land), and all the Gilead [region], and all the Bashan [region] as far east as Edrei and Salecah towns, which also belonged to Og’s kingdom.”
ug ang tanang siyudad sa kapatagan, ang tibuok Gilead, ug ang tibuok Bashan, ug hangtod sa Saleca ug Edrei, nga mga siyudad sa gingharian ni Og sa Bashan.”
11 (Og was the last king who was a descendant of the Repha giants. His bed was made of iron. It was almost (14 feet/4 meters) long and (6 feet/2 meters) wide. It is still [RHQ] in Rabbah [city] in the Ammon area.)
(Ang nahibilin sa kaliwatan ni Refaim, kay si Og na lamang nga hari sa Bashan. Tan-awa! Ang iyang higdaanan hinimo sa puthaw. Dili ba didto man sa Rabba nagpuyo ang mga kaliwat ni Ammon? Siyam ka kubiko ang katas-on ug upat ka kubiko ang kalapdon, sumala sa sukdanan sa mga tawo.)
12 “From the land that we captured at that time, I allotted to the tribes of Reuben and Gad the land [north] of Aroer [town] near the Arnon [River], and some of the hilly area of the Gilead [region], along with the nearby towns.
“Kini nga yuta nga atong gipanag-iya niadtong panahona— gikan sa Aroer, nahimutang kana sa walog sa Arnon, ug ang bungtod nga bahin sa Gilead, ug ang siyudad niini—gihatag ko kini sa mga Reubenihanon ug Gadihanon.
13 The other part of the Gilead [region] and all of the Bashan [region], which was the Argob [region] that King Og had ruled, I allotted to half of the tribe of Manasseh.” (The entire Bashan [region] is called the land of the Repha giants.)
Ang nahibilin sa Gilead ug tibuok sa Bashan, ang gingharian ni Og, akong gihatag sa katunga sa tribo ni Manases: ang tibuok nga rehiyon sa Argob, ug ang tibuok Bashan. (Ang maong teritoryo ginganlan usab nga yuta sa Refaim.
14 “Jair, from the tribe of Manasseh, conquered all the Bashan area as far [north] as the border of the Geshur and Maacah territories. He gave his own name to the villages there, and they are still called the villages of Jair.
Si Jair, nga kaliwat ni Manasse, miilog sa tibuok rehiyon sa Argob hangtod sa utlanan sa mga Geshurihanon ug Maacathon. Gitawag niya ang rehiyon, bisan ang Bashan, subay sa iyang ngalan, Havvot Jair, hangtod karong panahona.)
15 The [northern part of the] Gilead [region] I allotted to the Machir [clan, who are descendants of the tribe of Manasseh].
Gihatag ko ang Gilead kang Makir.
16 I allotted to the tribes of Reuben and Gad the southern part of the Gilead [region, extending south] to the Arnon [River]. The middle of the river is the [southern] boundary. The [northern] boundary is the Jabbok River, which is part of the border of the Ammon area.
Gihatag ko sa mga Reubenihanon ug mga Gadihanon ang teritoryo sugod sa Gilead hangtod sa walog sa Arnon—ang tungatunga sa walog mao ang utlanan sa teritoryo—ug sa Suba sa Jabok, nga utlanan sa mga kaliwat ni Ammon.
17 [To the west their territory extended] to the Jordan [River] Valley, from Galilee Lake [in the north] to the Dead Sea [in the south] and to the slopes of Pisgah [Mountain] to the east.
Ang laing utlanan niini mao usab ang kapatagan nga walog sa Suba sa Jordan, gikan sa Chinneret ngadto sa dagat sa Araba (nga mao, ang Asin nga Dagat) hangtod sa tiilan sa Bukid sa Pisga sa sidlakan nga bahin.
18 At that time, I told you three tribes, ‘Yahweh our God is giving you this land [east of the Jordan River], for you to occupy/capture. So now, give your soldiers weapons, and send them [across the Jordan River] ahead of the men from the other Israeli tribes [to help them to conquer/capture the land that has been allotted to them].
Gimandoan ko kamo nianang panahona nga miingon, 'Si Yahweh nga inyong Dios ang naghatag kaninyo niining yutaa aron mapanag-iya; kamo, nga mga kalalakin-an sa gubat, moagi nga armado taliwala sa inyong mga kaigsoonang lalaki, ang katawhan sa Israel.
19 But your wives and children and your very numerous cattle must stay in the towns that I have allotted to you.
Apan ang inyong mga asawa, ang inyong mga gagmay nga mga anak, ang inyong mga baka (nakahibalo ko nga daghan kaayo kamo ug mga baka), magpabilin sila sa mga siyudad nga akong gihatag kaninyo,
20 [Your men must help your fellow Israelis] until Yahweh enables them to live there peacefully after they capture all the land that Yahweh our God is giving to them on the west side of the Jordan [River], just like he did for you [here on the east side of the river]. After that, you all may return to this land that I have allotted to you.’
hangtod nga hatagan na ni Yahweh ug kapahulayan ang inyong mga kaigsoonan, sama sa iyang gibuhat alang kaninyo, hangtod nga ihatag na ni Yahweh nga inyong Dios ang yuta nga gitagana kanila didto tabok sa Jordan; unya diha pa kamo makauli, ang matag usa kaninyo, sa yuta nga akong gihatag kaninyo.'
21 And I told Joshua, ‘You [SYN] have seen everything that Yahweh our God did to those two kings, [Sihon and Og]. He will do the same thing to the people [who are now] in the land that you will be entering.
Gimandoan ko si Josue nianang panahona, ug miingon, 'Nakita sa inyong mga mata kung unsa ang gibuhat ni Yahweh nga inyong Dios niining duha ka mga hari; magbuhat ug sama niini si Yahweh sa tanang gingharian nga inyong adtoan.
22 Do not be afraid of those people, because Yahweh our God is the one who will fight for you all.’”
Dili kamo mahadlok kanila, tungod kay si Yahweh nga inyong Dios maoy makig-away alang kaninyo.'
23 “At that time, I earnestly prayed, saying
Nanghangyo ako kang Yahweh nianang panahona nga nag-ingon,
24 ‘Yahweh our Lord, you have merely begun to show me that you are very great and to show me the powerful things that you can do [MTY]. There is certainly no [RHQ] god in heaven or on earth who can do the powerful things/deeds that you [have done].
'O Ginoong Yahweh, gipakita nimo sa imong alagad ang imong pagkagamhanan ug ang imong kusgan nga kamot; kay walay dios nga anaa sa langit o sa yuta ang makabuhat sa samang butang nga imong nahimo, ug ang samang dakong buhat?
25 So please allow me to cross the Jordan [River] and to see the good/fertile land on the west side, the beautiful hilly area and [the mountains in] Lebanon.’
Tugoti ako sa pagsusi, nanghangyo ako, ug aron akong makita ang maayong yuta nga anaa unahan sa Jordan, ang nindot nga kabungtoran, ug ang Lebanon usab.
26 But Yahweh was angry with me because of [what] your ancestors [had made me do], so he would not pay attention to me. Instead, he said, ‘That is enough [talk from you]! Do not talk to me about that again!
Apan nasuko si Yahweh kanako tungod kaninyo; wala siya naminaw kanako. Miingon si Yahweh kanako, 'sakto na kini alang kanimo—ayaw na paghisgot niining butanga kanako:
27 Climb up to the top of Pisgah [Mountain] and look toward the west and to the east, toward the north and to the south. Look at [MTY] it all carefully, because you will not cross the Jordan [River to see the land from there].
tungas sa tumoy sa Pisga ug iyahat ang imong mga mata sa kasadpan nga bahin, sa amihanan, sa habagatan, ug sa sidlakan; tan-awa kini, kay dili ka makalatas sa Jordan.
28 But tell Joshua what he must do and encourage him to be strong, because he is the one who will lead the people [across the river in order that they can] occupy/capture the land that you will see [from the top of the mountain].’
Hinuon, tudloi ug dasiga si Josue ug lig-ona siya, kay siya mao ang makaadto uban niining mga katawhan, ug siya ang hinungdan nga mapanunod nila kining yutaa nga imong nakita.'
29 So we remained in the [Jordan River] Valley close to Beth-Peor [town].”
Busa nagpabilin kita sa walog nga atbang sa Bet Peor.
