Deuteronomy 27
1 Moses/I, along with the other Israeli leaders, said this to the people: “Obey all the commandments that I am giving to you today.
Şi Moise cu bătrânii lui Israel au poruncit poporului, spunând: Păziţi toate poruncile pe care vi le poruncesc astăzi.
2 [Soon] you will cross the Jordan [River] and enter the land that Yahweh, the God whom our ancestors [worshiped], promised to give to you. There, in that very fertile [IDM] land on the [west] side of the Jordan [River], set up some large stones [on Ebal Mountain], and cover them with plaster. Then write on those stones all these laws and teachings/instructions.
Şi va fi astfel: în ziua când veţi trece peste Iordan, în ţara pe care ţi-o dă DOMNUL Dumnezeul tău, să îţi ridici pietre mari şi să le văruieşti cu var,
Şi să scrii pe ele toate cuvintele acestei legi, după ce vei trece ca să intri în ţara, pe care ţi-o dă DOMNUL Dumnezeul tău, o ţară în care curge lapte şi miere, precum ţi-a promis DOMNUL Dumnezeul părinţilor tăi.
De aceea va fi astfel, după ce veţi trece Iordanul, să ridicaţi aceste pietre pe muntele Ebal, precum vă poruncesc astăzi şi să le văruiţi cu var.
5 And build a stone altar there to offer sacrifices to Yahweh, but do not cut those stones with iron tools.
Şi să zideşti acolo un altar DOMNULUI Dumnezeul tău, un altar din pietre, să nu ridici fier asupra lor.
6 The altar that you make to burn sacrifices to Yahweh our God must be made with uncut stones.
Să zideşti altarul DOMNULUI Dumnezeul tău din pietre întregi şi să aduci pe el ofrande arse pentru DOMNUL Dumnezeul tău,
7 And there you must sacrifice offerings to maintain fellowship with Yahweh, and you must eat [your share of those offerings] and rejoice/celebrate in the presence of Yahweh.
Şi să aduci ofrande de pace şi să mănânci acolo şi să te bucuri înaintea DOMNULUI Dumnezeul tău.
8 And, when you write these laws on those stones, you must write them very clearly.”
Şi să scrii pe pietre foarte lămurit toate cuvintele legii acesteia.
9 Then Moses/I, along with the priests, said to all the Israeli people, “You Israeli people, be quiet and listen [to what I am saying]. Today you have become the people who belong to Yahweh, our God.
Şi Moise şi preoţii, leviţii, au vorbit întregului Israel, spunând: Ia seama şi dă ascultare, Israele, astăzi ai devenit poporul DOMNULUI Dumnezeul tău.
10 So, you must do what he tells you, and obey all the rules and regulations that I am giving to you today.”
De aceea să asculţi de vocea DOMNULUI Dumnezeul tău şi să împlineşti poruncile lui şi statutele lui, pe care ţi le poruncesc astăzi.
11 On that same day Moses/I said to the Israeli people,
Şi Moise a poruncit poporului în ziua aceea, spunând:
12 “After you have crossed over the Jordan [River], the tribes of Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Joseph, and Benjamin must stand on Gerizim Mountain and [request Yahweh to] bless the people.
Aceştia să stea în picioare să binecuvânteze poporul pe muntele Garizim, după ce veţi fi trecut Iordanul: Simeon şi Levi şi Iuda şi Isahar şi Iosif şi Beniamin;
13 And the tribes of Reuben, Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali must stand on Ebal Mountain and listen to the things that Yahweh will do when he curses the people.
Şi aceştia să stea în picioare pe Muntele Ebal ca să blesteme: Ruben, Gad şi Aşer şi Zabulon, Dan şi Neftali.
14 The descendants of Levi must shout these words loudly:
Şi leviţii să vorbească şi să spună tuturor bărbaţilor lui Israel cu voce tare:
15 ‘Yahweh will curse anyone who makes an idol of stone, or of wood, or of metal, and secretly sets it up [and worships it]. Yahweh considers that those things, made by humans [SYN], are detestable/disgusting.’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
Blestemat fie omul care îşi face orice chip cioplit sau turnat, o urâciune înaintea DOMNULUI, lucrare a mâinilor meşterului, şi îl pune într-un loc tainic. Şi tot poporul să răspundă şi să zică: Amin.
16 ‘Yahweh will curse anyone who dishonors his father or his mother.’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
Blestemat fie cel ce dispreţuieşte pe tatăl său sau pe mama sa. Şi tot poporul să spună: Amin.
17 ‘Yahweh will curse anyone who removes someone else’s markers of property boundaries.’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
Blestemat fie cel ce mută piatra de hotar a aproapelui său. Şi tot poporul să spună: Amin.
18 ‘Yahweh will curse anyone who leads a blind person to go (in the wrong direction/where that person does not want to go).’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
Blestemat fie cel ce face pe orb să rătăcească de pe cale. Şi tot poporul să spună: Amin.
19 ‘Yahweh will curse anyone who deprives foreigners or orphans or widows of the things that the laws state must be done for them.’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
Blestemat fie cel ce perverteşte judecata străinului, a celui fără tată şi a văduvei. Şi tot poporul să spună: Amin.
20 ‘Yahweh will curse anyone who (shows no respect for/disgraces his father) by having sex with [EUP] any of his father’s wives.’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
Blestemat fie cel ce se culcă cu soţia tatălui său, pentru că ridică învelitoarea patului tatălui său. Şi tot poporul să spună: Amin.
21 ‘Yahweh will curse anyone who has sex [EUP] with any animal.’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
Blestemat fie cel ce se culcă cu orice fel de animal. Şi tot poporul să spună: Amin.
22 ‘Yahweh will curse anyone who has sex with his sister or with his half-sister.’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
Blestemat fie cel ce se culcă cu sora sa, fiica tatălui său, sau fiica mamei sale. Şi tot poporul să spună: Amin.
23 ‘Yahweh will curse anyone who has sex with [EUP] his mother-in-law.’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
Blestemat fie cel ce se culcă cu soacra sa. Şi tot poporul să spună: Amin.
24 ‘Yahweh will curse anyone who secretly murders someone else.’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
Blestemat fie cel ce loveşte pe aproapele său în ascuns. Şi tot poporul să spună: Amin.
25 ‘Yahweh will curse anyone who accepts a bribe to murder someone who (is innocent/has not done something that is wrong.)’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
Blestemat fie cel ce ia răsplată pentru a ucide o persoană nevinovată. Şi tot poporul să spună: Amin.
26 ‘Yahweh will curse anyone who disobeys these laws and refuses to declare that these laws [are good].’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’”
Blestemat fie cel ce nu întăreşte toate cuvintele legii acesteia ca să le împlinească. Şi tot poporul să spună: Amin.
