Deuteronomy 11
1 “[Because of all that] Yahweh your God [has done for you], you must love him and continually obey all his rules and regulations and commandments.
Und du sollst lieben Jehovah, deinen Gott, und halten Seine Verordnungen und Seine Satzungen und Seine Rechte und Seine Gebote alle Tage.
2 It was you and your ancestors, not your children, whom he disciplined [by causing all of you to have/experience difficulties]. So, starting today, continue to think about how very great and very powerful he is [DOU, MTY].
Und wisset heute - nicht eure Söhne, die es nicht wissen und die es nicht gesehen haben - die Zucht Jehovahs, eures Gottes, Seine Größe, Seine starke Hand und Seinen ausgereckten Arm,
3 Think about the various miracles [DOU] that he performed in Egypt. Think about what he did to the king of Egypt and to his country.
Und Seine Zeichen und Taten, die Er inmitten Ägyptens getan an Pharao, Ägyptens König, und an seinem ganzen Land,
4 Think about what he did to the army of Egypt, to their horses and their chariots. Think about how he caused the Red Sea to flood/cover over them while they were pursuing your ancestors, and how the army of Egypt was completely (wiped out/destroyed).
Und was Er tat an Ägyptens Streitmacht, an seinen Rossen und an seinen Wagen, über deren Angesicht Er die Wasser des Schilfmeeres strömen ließ, da sie euch nachsetzten, und wie Jehovah sie zerstörte bis auf diesen Tag.
5 Think about what Yahweh did for your ancestors in the desert before you arrived at this place.
Und was Er an euch getan in der Wüste, bis ihr hereinkamt an diesen Ort,
6 Think about what he did to Dathan and Abiram, the two sons of Eliab from the tribe of Reuben. While all of your ancestors were watching, the earth split open, and they fell into the opening [and disappeared], along with their families and their tents, their servants, and their animals.
Und was Er tat dem Dathan und dem Abiram, den Söhnen Eliabs, des Sohnes Rubens, wie die Erde ihren Mund aufsperrte und verschlang sie und ihre Häuser und ihre Zelte und allen Bestand, der in ihrem Gefolge war, inmitten von ganz Israel.
7 You [SYN] and your ancestors have seen all these miracles that Yahweh performed.
Denn eure Augen haben gesehen all die große Tat Jehovahs, die Er getan hat.
8 So, obey all the commandments that I am giving you today, in order that you will be strong and able to cross the river and occupy the land that you are about to enter,
So haltet denn alles Gebot, das ich euch heute gebiete, auf daß ihr erstarket und hineinkommt, und das Land einnehmet, in das ihr hinüberziehet, es einzunehmen.
9 and in order that you will live for a long time in that land, the land that Yahweh solemnly promised your ancestors that he would give to them and to their descendants, a land that is very fertile [IDM].
Und daß ihr eure Tage verlängert auf dem Boden, den Jehovah euren Väter geschworen hat, ihnen und ihrem Samen zu geben, ein Land, das von Milch und Honig fließt.
10 The land that you are about to enter and occupy is not like the land of Egypt, where your ancestors lived. In Egypt, after they planted seeds, it was necessary for them to work hard [MTY] to water [the plants that grew].
Denn das Land, da du hineinkommst, es einzunehmen, ist nicht wie das Land Ägypten, aus dem du ausgegangen bist, in das du deinen Samen sätest, und das du mit deinem Fuße bewässertest wie einen Kohlgarten.
11 But the land that you are about to enter is a land where there are many hills and valleys, where there is plenty of rain.
Das Land aber, dahin ihr übersetzet, es einzunehmen, ist ein Land der Berge und Täler; es trinkt Wasser von des Himmels Regen.
12 Yahweh takes care of that land. He [SYN] watches over it every day, from the beginning of each year to the end of each year.
Ein Land, nach dem Jehovah, dein Gott, fragt. Die Augen Jehovahs, deines Gottes, sind vom Anfang des Jahres und bis zum Letzten des Jahres beständig auf demselben.
13 Today I am commanding you to love Yahweh our God and to serve him with your entire inner beings. If you do that,
Und es wird geschehen, wenn ihr auf meine Gebote hört, die ich euch heute gebiete, so daß ihr Jehovah, euren Gott, liebet und Ihm dienet von eurem ganzen Herzen und von eurer ganzen Seele,
14 each year he will send rain on your land at the (right times/times when it is needed), (in the autumn/at the end of the dry season) and (in the spring/before the next dry season starts). As a result, you will have grain and [grapes to make] wine and [olives to make olive] oil.
So werde ich Regen für euer Land geben zu seiner Zeit, Frühregen und Spätregen, so daß du einsammelst dein Korn und deinen Most und dein Öl,
15 And he will cause grass to grow in your fields for your livestock [to eat]. You will have all the food that you want.
Und werde Kräuter auf deinem Felde für dein Vieh geben, und du sollst essen und satt werden.
16 “But I warn you, do not turn away from Yahweh our God and start to worship other gods,
Hütet euch, daß euer Herz sich nicht bereden lasse, und ihr abweichet und anderen Göttern dient und sie anbetet,
17 because if you do that, Yahweh will become very angry with you. He will prevent any rain from falling. As a result, the crops will not grow, and you will soon die [from hunger] in the good land that Yahweh is about to give to you.
Und der Zorn Jehovahs wider euch entbrenne, und Er den Himmel verschließe und kein Regen sei und der Boden sein Gewächs nicht gebe, und ihr eilends umkommet, weg von dem guten Land, das Jehovah euch gibt.
18 So, keep thinking [IDM] about these commands. Write them [on tiny scrolls] and fasten them to your arms/wrists, and write them on bands that you fasten to your foreheads [to help you to remember them].
Und ihr sollt diese meine Worte euch zu Herzen legen und in eure Seelen, und sollt sie binden als Zeichen auf eure Hand, und sie sollen als Stirnband zwischen euren Augen sein,
19 Teach them to your children again and again. Talk about them [all the time]: When you are in your houses and when you are walking outside; talk about them when you are lying down at night and when you are getting up in the morning.
Und sollt sie eure Söhne lehren, und davon reden, wenn du sitzest in deinem Hause, und wenn du auf dem Wege gehst, wenn du dich niederlegst, und wenn du aufstehst;
20 Write them on the doorposts and on the gates of your houses.
Und sollst sie auf die Türpfosten deines Hauses und an deine Tore schreiben.
21 Do that in order that you and your children will live for a long time in the land that Yahweh promised to our ancestors that he would give to them. That land will belong to you [and your descendants] as long as there is a sky above the earth.
Auf daß eurer Tage und eurer Söhne Tage so viel werden auf dem Boden, den Jehovah euren Vätern geschworen hat, ihnen zu geben, wie der Tage der Himmel über der Erde.
22 “Faithfully continue to obey what I am commanding you to do—to love Yahweh our God, and to conduct your lives as he wants you to do, and to (be faithful to/have a close relationship with) him.
Denn wenn ihr all dies Gebot, das ich euch gebiete zu tun, haltet, daß ihr Jehovah, euren Gott, liebet und in all Seinen Wegen wandelt und Ihm anhanget,
23 If you do that, Yahweh will expel all the people-groups in that land as you advance, people-groups that are more numerous and more powerful than you are.
So wird Jehovah alle diese Völkerschaften vor euch austreiben, und ihr werdet austreiben größere und mächtigere Völkerschaften, als ihr seid;
24 All the ground [in that land] on which you walk will be yours. Your territory will extend from the desert [in the south] to the Lebanon [Mountains in the north], and from the Euphrates River [in the east] to the [Mediterranean] Sea in the west.
Jeglicher Ort, den eure Fußsohle betritt, soll euer sein, von der Wüste und dem Libanon, von dem Fluß, dem Flusse Phrath bis zum hinteren Meere soll eure Grenze sein.
25 Yahweh our God will cause all the people in that land to be afraid of you, which is what he promised, with the result that no people-group will be able to stop you.
Kein Mann soll bestehen vor euch. Schauer und Furcht vor euch wird Jehovah, euer Gott, legen auf alles Land, das ihr betreten werdet, wie Er zu euch geredet hat.
26 “Listen carefully: Today I am telling you [that Yahweh will either] bless [you or he will] curse you.
Siehe, ich lege heute Segen und Fluch vor euch.
27 If you obey the commandments of Yahweh our God that I am giving to you today, he will bless you.
Den Segen, so ihr höret auf die Gebote Jehovahs eures Gottes, die ich euch heute gebiete;
28 If you do not obey them, and if you turn away from him to worship other gods that you have never known about before, he will curse you.
Und den Fluch, so ihr nicht auf die Gebote Jehovahs, eures Gottes, hört, und abweichet von dem Wege, den ich euch heute gebiete, daß ihr anderen Göttern nachgehet, von denen ihr nichts wisset.
29 And when Yahweh brings you into the land that you are about to enter and occupy, [some of you must stand on top of] Gerizim Mountain and proclaim what will cause Yahweh to bless you, and [the others must stand on top of] Ebal Mountain and proclaim [what will cause Yahweh to] curse you.”
Und es soll geschehen: Wenn dich Jehovah, dein Gott, in das Land bringt, in das du hineinziehst, um es einzunehmen, so sollst du den Segen geben, auf dem Berge Gerissim und den Fluch auf dem Berge Ebal.
30 (Those two mountains are [RHQ] west of the Jordan [River], west of the Jordan Valley near the huge oak tree at Moreh [village] in the land where the Canaan people-group lives. They live close to the sacred trees near Gilgal.)
Sind sie nicht jenseits des Jordans hinter dem Wege gegen Sonnenuntergang im Land der Kanaaniter, die in der Arabah Gilgal gegenüber wohnen, neben den Eichen von Moreh.
31 “You will soon cross the Jordan [River] to occupy the land that Yahweh our God is giving to you. When you enter that land and start to live there,
Denn ihr setzet über den Jordan, um hineinzukommen, um das Land einzunehmen, das Jehovah, euer Gott, euch gibt, auf daß ihr es erblich besitzet und darinnen wohnet.
32 be sure to obey all the rules and regulations that I am giving to you today.”
So haltet denn, daß ihr tut alle Satzungen und Rechte, die ich heute gebe vor eurem Angesichte.
