2 Samuel 9
1 One day David asked, “Is there anyone who is a descendant of Saul to whom I can be kind?” He asked this because he wanted to honor Jonathan.
௧யோனத்தானுக்காக என்னால் தயவு பெறக்கூடியவன் யாராவது சவுலின் குடும்பத்தார்களில் இன்னும் மீதியாக இருக்கிறவன் உண்டா என்று தாவீது கேட்டான்.
2 [They told him that] there was [in Jerusalem] a man named Ziba who had been a servant of Saul’s family. So [David sent messengers to summon Ziba. When he arrived], the king asked him, “Are you Ziba?” He replied, “Yes, your majesty, I am.”
௨அப்பொழுது சவுலின் வீட்டு வேலைக்காரனான சீபா என்னும் பெயருள்ளவனைத் தாவீதிடம் அழைத்து வந்தார்கள்; ராஜா அவனைப் பார்த்து: நீதானா சீபா என்று கேட்டான்; அவன் அடியேன்தான் என்றான்.
3 The king asked him, “Is there anyone in Saul’s family to whom I can be kind, [as I promised Jonathan that I would do]?” Ziba replied, “Yes, there is one son of Jonathan who is still [alive]. His feet are crippled.”
௩அப்பொழுது ராஜா: தேவனுக்காக நான் சவுலின் குடும்பத்தார்களுக்குத் தயைசெய்யும்படி அவன் குடும்பத்தார்களில் யாராவது ஒருவன் இன்னும் மீதியாக இருக்கிறானா என்று கேட்டதற்கு, சீபா ராஜாவைப் பார்த்து: இன்னும் யோனத்தானுக்கு இரண்டு கால்களும் முடமான ஒரு மகன் இருக்கிறான் என்றான்.
4 The king asked him, “Where is he?” Ziba replied, “He is [living] in the house of Machir, son of Ammiel, in Lo-Debar [city east of the Jordan River].”
௪அவன் எங்கே என்று ராஜா கேட்டதற்கு, சீபா ராஜாவைப் பார்த்து: இதோ, அவன் லோதேபாரிலே அம்மியேலின் மகனான மாகீரின் வீட்டில் இருக்கிறான் என்றான்.
5 So King David sent [messengers] to bring Mephibosheth [to Jerusalem].
௫அப்பொழுது தாவீது ராஜா அவனை லோதேபாரிலிருக்கிற அம்மியேலின் மகனான மாகீரின் வீட்டிலிருந்து வரவழைத்தான்.
6 When Mephibosheth came to David, he knelt down with his face on the ground, to show respect. Then David said, “Mephibosheth!” He replied, “Yes, your majesty, how may I serve you?”
௬சவுலின் மகனான யோனத்தானின் மகன் மேவிபோசேத் தாவீதிடம் வந்தபோது, முகங்குப்புற விழுந்து வணங்கினான்; அப்பொழுது தாவீது: மேவிபோசேத்தே என்றான்; அவன்: இதோ, அடியேன் என்றான்.
7 David said to him, “Do not be afraid; I will be kind to you because Jonathan your father [was my loyal friend]. I will give back to you all the land that belonged to your grandfather Saul. And [I want] you to always eat with me at my house [MTY].”
௭தாவீது அவனைப் பார்த்து: நீ பயப்படாதே; உன்னுடைய தகப்பனான யோனத்தானுக்காக நான் நிச்சயமாக உனக்கு தயைசெய்து, உன்னுடைய தகப்பனான சவுலின் நிலங்களையெல்லாம் உனக்குத் திரும்பக் கொடுப்பேன்; நீ என்னுடைய பந்தியில் எப்பொழுதும் அப்பம் சாப்பிடுவாய் என்றான்.
8 Mephibosheth bowed [in front of David again] and said, “Sir, I am [as worthless as] [MET] a dead dog; I do not deserve [RHQ] that you be kind to me!”
௮அப்பொழுது அவன் வணங்கி: செத்த நாயைப் போலிருக்கிற என்னை நீர் நோக்கிப் பார்ப்பதற்கு, உமது அடியான் யார் என்றான்.
9 Then the king summoned Saul’s servant Ziba and said to him, “Saul was your master; now I am giving to Mephibosheth everything that belonged to Saul and his family.
௯ராஜா சவுலின் வேலைக்காரனான சீபாவை வரவழைத்து, அவனை நோக்கி: சவுலுக்கும் அவருடைய குடும்பத்தார்களில் எல்லோருக்கும் இருந்த யாவையும் உன்னுடைய எஜமானுடைய மகனுக்குக் கொடுத்தேன்.
10 You and your 15 sons and your 20 servants must till/plow the land for Mephibosheth’s [family], and [plant crops] and harvest them, in order that they will have food to eat. But Mephibosheth will eat food with me at my house.”
௧0எனவே, நீ உன்னுடைய மகன்களையும் உன்னுடைய வேலைக்காரர்களையும் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு, உன்னுடைய எஜமானுடைய மகன் சாப்பிட அப்பம் உண்டாயிருக்க, அந்த நிலத்தைப் பயிரிட்டு, அதின் பலனைச் சேர்ப்பாயாக; உன்னுடைய எஜமானுடைய மகன் மேவிபோசேத் எப்பொழுதும் என்னுடைய பந்தியிலே அப்பம் சாப்பிடுவான் என்றான்; சீபாவுக்கு பதினைந்து மகன்களும் இருபது வேலைக்காரர்களும் இருந்தார்கள்.
11 Ziba replied to the king, “Your majesty, I will do everything that you have commanded me to do.” So [after that], Mephibosheth always ate at the king’s table, as though he were one of the king’s sons.
௧௧சீபா, ராஜாவை நோக்கி: ராஜாவான என்னுடைய ஆண்டவன் தமது அடியானுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியெல்லாம் உமது அடியானான நான் செய்வேன் என்றான். ராஜாவின் மகன்களில் ஒருவனைப்போல, மேவிபோசேத் என்னுடைய பந்தியிலே சாப்பிடுவான் என்று ராஜா சொன்னான்.
12 Mephibosheth had a young son named Mica. All of Ziba’s family became servants of Mephibosheth.
௧௨மேவிபோசேத்திற்கு மீகா என்னும் பெயருள்ள சிறுவனான ஒரு மகன் இருந்தான், சீபாவின் வீட்டிலே குடியிருந்த அனைவரும், மேவிபோசேத்திற்கு வேலைக்காரர்களாக இருந்தார்கள்.
13 And Mephibosheth, who was still crippled in both of his feet, started to live in Jerusalem, and he always ate (at the king’s table/with the king).
௧௩மேவிபோசேத் ராஜாவின் பந்தியில் எப்பொழுதும் சாப்பிடுகிறவனாக இருந்தபடியால், எருசலேமிலே குடியிருந்தான்; அவனுக்கு இரண்டு கால்களும் முடமாக இருந்தது.
