1 Chronicles 8
1 Benjamin had five sons: Bela, Ashbel, Aharah,
Benjamin engendra Bela, son premier-né, Ashbel le second, Ahara le troisième,
2 Nohah, and Rapha.

3 The sons of Bela were Addar, Gera, Abihud,

6 [One of Gera’s sons was Ehud.] The descendants of Ehud were leaders of their clans who lived in Geba [city], but they were forced to move to Manahath [city].

7 Ehud’s sons/descendants were Naaman, Ahijah, and Gera. Gera was the one who led them when they moved to Manahath. Gera was the father of Uzza and Ahihud.

8 [Another descendant of Benjamin was Shaharaim]. He and his wife Hushim had two sons, Abitub and Elpaal. In [the] Moab [region], Shaharaim divorced Hushim and his other wife Baara. [Then he married a woman whose name was] Hodesh, and they had [seven sons]: Jobab, Zibia, Mesha, Malcam, Jeuz, Sakia, and Mirmah. They were all leaders of their clans.

12 Elpaal’s sons were Eber, Misham, Shemed, Beriah, and Shema. Shemed built [the towns of] Ono and Lod, and the nearby villages. Beriah and Shema were leaders of their clans, who lived in Aijalon [city]. They forced the people who lived in Gath [city] to leave their city.

28 In the records of these clans it is written that all those men were leaders of their clans, and they lived in Jerusalem.

29 [Another descendant of Benjamin was] Jeiel. He lived in Gibeon [town], and he was the leader there. His wife was Maacah.

30 His oldest son was Abdon. His other sons were Zur, Kish, Baal, Ner, Nadab,

32 and Mikloth. Mikloth was the father of Shimeah. All these sons of Jeiel also lived near their relatives in Jerusalem.

33 Ner was the father of Kish, and Kish was the father of [King] Saul. Saul was the father of Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab, and Esh-Baal.

34 Jonathan’s son was Merib-Baal. Merib-Baal was the father of Micah.

35 Micah’s sons were Pithon, Melech, Tarea, and Ahaz.
Fils de Michée: Pithon, Mélec, Taréa et Achaz.
36 Ahaz was the father of Jehoaddah. Jehoaddah was the father of Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri. Zimri was the father of Moza.
Achaz engendra Jéhoadda. Jehoadda engendra Alemeth, Azmaveth et Zimri. Zimri engendra Moza.
37 Moza was the father of Binea. The son of Binea was Raphah. The son of Raphah was Eleasah. The son of Eleasah was Azel.
Moza engendra Binea. Raphah était son fils, Éléasa son fils, et Azel son fils.
38 Azel had six sons: Azrikam, Bokeru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan.
Azel eut six fils, dont les noms sont les suivants: Azrikam, Bocheru, Ismaël, Sheariah, Abdias et Hanan. Tous ceux-là étaient les fils d'Azel.
39 Azel’s [younger] brother was Eshek. Eshek’s oldest son was Ulam. His other sons were Jeush and Eliphelet.

40 Ulam’s sons were brave warriors and (good archers/able to shoot arrows well). Altogether they had 150 sons and grandsons. Those were the descendants of Benjamin.
Les fils d'Ulam étaient de vaillants hommes, des archers, et ils eurent beaucoup de fils et de petits-fils, au nombre de cent cinquante. Tous ceux-là étaient des fils de Benjamin.
