1 Issachar’s four sons were Tola, Puah, Jashub, and Shimron.
Och Isaskars söner voro Tola och Pua, Jasib och Simron, tillsammans fyra.
2 Tola’s sons were Uzzi, Rephaiah, Jeriel, Jahmai, Ibsam, and Samuel (OR, Shemuel). They were all leaders of the clans [descended from] them. In the record of Tola’s descendants were the names of 22,600 men who served in the army during the time that David was the king [of Israel].
Tolas söner voro Ussi, Refaja, Jeriel, Jamai, Jibsam och Samuel, huvudmän för sina familjer, ättlingar av Tola, tappra stridsmän, upptecknade efter sin ättföljd. I Davids tid var deras antal tjugutvå tusen sex hundra.
3 Uzzi’s son was Izrahiah. Izrahiah’s five sons were Michael, Obadiah, Joel, and Isshiah. Izrahiah and his sons were all leaders of their clans.
Ussis söner voro Jisraja, och Jisrajas söner voro Mikael, Obadja och Joel samt Jissia, tillhopa fem, allasammans huvudmän.
4 In the record of Izrahiah’s descendants were the names of 36,000 men who served in the army because they had many wives and children.
Och med dem följde stridbara härskaror, trettiosex tusen man, efter sin ättföljd och sina familjer; ty de hade många hustrur och barn.
5 In the records of the clans descended from Issachar were the names of 87,000 men who served in the army.
Och deras bröder i alla Isaskars släkter voro tappra stridsmän; åttiosju tusen utgjorde tillsammans de som voro upptecknade i deras släktregister.
6 [Some of the] sons of Benjamin were Bela, Beker, and Jediael.
Benjamins söner voro Bela, Beker och Jediael, tillsammans tre.
7 Bela’s five sons were Ezbon, Uzzi, Uzziel, Jerimoth, and Iri. They were all leaders of clans. In the records of the clans descended from Bela there were names of 22,034 men who served in the army.
Belas söner voro Esbon, Ussi, Ussiel, Jerimot och Iri, tillsammans fem, huvudmän för sina familjer, tappra stridsmän; de som voro upptecknade i deras släktregister utgjorde tjugutvå tusen trettiofyra.
8 Beker’s sons were Zemirah, Joash, Eliezer, Elioenai, Omri, Jeremoth, Abijah, Anathoth, and Alemeth.
Bekers söner voro Semira, Joas, Elieser, Eljoenai, Omri, Jeremot, Abia, Anatot och Alemet. Alla dessa voro Bekers söner.
9 In the records of the clans descended from Beker were the names of 20,200 men and leaders of the clans who served in the army.
De som voro upptecknade i deras släktregister, efter sin ättföljd, efter huvudmannen för sina familjer, tappra stridsmän, utgjorde tjugu tusen två hundra.
10 Jediael’s son was Bilhan. Bilhan’s sons were Jeush, Benjamin, Ehud, Kenaanah, Zethan, Tarshish, and Ahishahar.
Jediaels söner voro Bilhan; Bilhans söner voro Jeus, Benjamin, Ehud, Kenaana, Setan, Tarsis och Ahisahar.
11 They were all leaders of clans descended from them. There were 17,200 of them who served in the army.
Alla dessa voro Jediaels söner, upptecknade efter huvudmännen för sina familjer, tappra stridsmän, sjutton tusen två hundra stridbara krigsmän.
12 Shuppim and Huppim were descendants of Ir. [One of] the descendants of Aher was Hushim.
Och Suppim och Huppim voro Irs söner. -- Men Husim voro Ahers söner.
13 Naphtali’s sons were Jahziel, Guni, Jezer, and Shillem. They were all descendants of [Jacob’s slave wife] Bilhah.
Naftalis söner voro Jahasiel, Guni, Jeser och Sallum, Bilhas söner.
14 [This is a list of] Manasseh’s descendants. Manasseh had a slave wife who was from Syria. She was the mother of Asriel and Makir. Makir was the father of Gilead.
Manasses söner voro Asriel, som kvinnan födde; hans arameiska bihustru födde Makir, Gileads fader.
15 Makir [had two wives]. They were from the clans of Huppim and Shuppim. One of Makir’s wives was named Maacah. Another descendant [of Makir] was Zelophehad. Zelophehad [had no sons; he] had only daughters.
Och Makir tog hustru åt Huppim och Suppim. Hans syster hette Maaka. Och den andre hette Selofhad. Och Selofhad hade döttrar.
16 Makir’s wife Maacah gave birth to two sons whom she named Peresh and Sheresh. Sheresh’s sons were Ulam and Rakem.
Och Maaka, Makirs hustru, födde en son och gav honom namnet Peres, men hans broder hette Seres. Hans söner voro Ulam och Rekem.
17 Ulam’s son was Bedan. All those [men were considered to be] descendants of Gilead, who was the son of Makir and grandson of Manasseh.
Ulams söner voro Bedan. Dessa voro söner till Gilead, son till Makir, son till Manasse.
18 Makir’s sister name was Hammoleketh who was the mother of Ishdod, Abiezer, and Mahlah.
Och hans syster var Hammoleket; hon födde Is-Hod, Abieser och Mahela.
19 [One son of Gilead was] Shemida, whose sons were Ahian, Shechem, Likhi, and Aniam.
Och Semidas söner voro Ajan, Sekem, Likhi och Aniam.
20 [This is a list of] the descendants of Ephraim. One son of Ephraim’s was Shuthelah. Shuthelah’s son was Bered. Bered’s son was Tahath. Tahath’s son was Eleadah. Eleadah’s son was [also named] Tahath.
Och Efraims söner voro Sutela, dennes son Bered, dennes son Tahat, dennes son Eleada, dennes son Tahat,
21 Tahath’s son was Zabad. Zabad’s son was Shuthelah. [Ephraim’s other sons, ] Ezer and Elead, went to Gath [city] to steal some cows and sheep. But they were both killed by some of the men from that city.

22 Their father Ephraim cried/mourned for them for many days, and his family came to comfort him.

23 Then he and his wife had sex [EUP] [again], and she became pregnant and gave birth to a son. Ephraim named him Beriah [which resembles the word ‘trouble’, ] because of the trouble that his family had experienced.
Och han gick in till sin hustru, och hon blev havande och födde en son; och han gav honom namnet Beria, därför att det hade skett under en olyckstid för hans hus.
24 Ephraim’s daughter was Sheerah. Her workers built [three towns]: Lower Beth-Horon, Upper Beth-Horon, and Uzzen-Sheerah.
Hans dotter var Seera; hon byggde Nedre och Övre Bet-Horon, så ock Ussen-Seera.
25 [Another] son of Ephraim was Rephah. Rephah’s son was Resheph. Resheph’s son was Telah. Telah’s son was Tahan.
Och hans son var Refa; hans son var Resef, ävensom Tela; hans son var Tahan.
26 Tahan’s son was Ladan. Ladan’s son was Ammihud. Ammihud’s son was Elishama.
Hans son var Laedan; hans son var Ammihud; hans son var Elisama.
27 Elishama’s son was Nun. Nun’s son was Joshua, [the man who led the Israelis after Moses died].
Hans son var Non; hans son var Josua.
28 [This is a list of] the cities and areas where the descendants of Ephraim lived: Bethel and the nearby villages; Naaran to the east; Gezer to the west and the nearby villages; and Shechem and the nearby villages. Those villages extended [north] as far as Ayyah and the nearby villages.

29 Along the border of the area where the descendants of Manasseh lived were these towns: Beth-Shan, Taanach, Megiddo, and Dor, and the nearby villages. The people who lived in all those places were descendants of Jacob’s son Joseph.
Men i Manasse barns ägo voro Bet-Sean med underlydande orter, Taanak med underlydande orter, Megiddo med underlydande orter, Dor med underlydande orter. Här bodde nu Josefs, Israels sons, barn.
30 Asher’s sons were Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, and Beriah. Their sister was Serah.
Asers söner voro Jimna, Jisva, Jisvi och Beria; och deras syster var Sera.
31 Beriah’s sons were Heber and Malkiel. Malkiel was the father of Birzaith
Berias söner voro Heber och Malkiel; han var Birsaits fader.
32 Heber was the father of Japhlet, Shomer, and Hotham. Their sister was Shua.
Och Heber födde Jaflet, Somer och Hotam, så ock Sua, deras syster.
33 Japhlet’s sons were Pasach, Bimhal, and Ashvath.
Och Jaflets söner voro Pasak, Bimhal och Asvat. Dessa voro Jaflets söner.
34 Japhlet’s [younger] brother was Shomer. Shomer’s sons were Rohgah, Hubbah, and Aram.
Semers söner voro Ahi och Rohaga, Jaba och Aram.
35 Shomer’s [younger] brother was Hotham (OR, Helem). Hotham’s sons were Zophah, Imna, Shelesh, and Amal.
Hans broder Helems söner voro Sofa, Jimna, Seles och Amal.
36 Zophah’s sons were Suah, Harnepher, Shual, Beri, Imrah,
Sofas söner voro Sua, Harnefer, Sual, Beri och Jimra,
37 Bezer, Hod, Shamma, Shilshah, Ithran [whose other name was Jether], and Beera.
Beser, Hod, Samma, Silsa, Jitran och Beera.
38 Jether’s sons were Jephunneh, Pispah, and Ara.
Jeters söner voro Jefunne, Pispa och Ara.
39 [Another descendant of Asher was] Ulla, whose sons were Arah, Hanniel, and Rizia.
Och Ullas söner voro Ara, Hanniel och Risja.
40 All those men were descendants of Asher, and they were all leaders of their clans. They were brave warriors and excellent leaders. In the record of the clans that are descended from Asher are [the names of] 26,000 men who served in the army.
Alla dessa voro Asers söner, huvudmän för sina familjer, utvalda tappra stridsmän, huvudmän bland hövdingarna; och de som voro upptecknade i deras släktregister såsom dugliga till krigstjänst utgjorde ett antal av tjugusex tusen man. Hebr beraá.
