1 Issachar’s four sons were Tola, Puah, Jashub, and Shimron.
καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισσαχαρ Θωλα καὶ Φουα καὶ Ιασουβ καὶ Σεμερων τέσσαρες
2 Tola’s sons were Uzzi, Rephaiah, Jeriel, Jahmai, Ibsam, and Samuel (OR, Shemuel). They were all leaders of the clans [descended from] them. In the record of Tola’s descendants were the names of 22,600 men who served in the army during the time that David was the king [of Israel].
καὶ υἱοὶ Θωλα Οζι καὶ Ραφαια καὶ Ιεριηλ καὶ Ιεμου καὶ Ιεβασαμ καὶ Σαμουηλ ἄρχοντες οἴκων πατριῶν αὐτῶν τῷ Θωλα ἰσχυροὶ δυνάμει κατὰ γενέσεις αὐτῶν ὁ ἀριθμὸς αὐτῶν ἐν ἡμέραις Δαυιδ εἴκοσι καὶ δύο χιλιάδες καὶ ἑξακόσιοι
3 Uzzi’s son was Izrahiah. Izrahiah’s five sons were Michael, Obadiah, Joel, and Isshiah. Izrahiah and his sons were all leaders of their clans.
καὶ υἱοὶ Οζι Ιεζρια καὶ υἱοὶ Ιεζρια Μιχαηλ καὶ Οβδια καὶ Ιωηλ καὶ Ιεσια πέντε ἄρχοντες πάντες
4 In the record of Izrahiah’s descendants were the names of 36,000 men who served in the army because they had many wives and children.
καὶ ἐπ’ αὐτῶν κατὰ γενέσεις αὐτῶν κατ’ οἴκους πατρικοὺς αὐτῶν ἰσχυροὶ παρατάξασθαι εἰς πόλεμον τριάκοντα καὶ ἓξ χιλιάδες ὅτι ἐπλήθυναν γυναῖκας καὶ υἱούς
5 In the records of the clans descended from Issachar were the names of 87,000 men who served in the army.
καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν εἰς πάσας πατριὰς Ισσαχαρ ἰσχυροὶ δυνάμει ὀγδοήκοντα καὶ ἑπτὰ χιλιάδες ὁ ἀριθμὸς αὐτῶν τῶν πάντων
6 [Some of the] sons of Benjamin were Bela, Beker, and Jediael.
βενιαμιν Βαλε καὶ Βαχιρ καὶ Ιαδιηλ τρεῖς
7 Bela’s five sons were Ezbon, Uzzi, Uzziel, Jerimoth, and Iri. They were all leaders of clans. In the records of the clans descended from Bela there were names of 22,034 men who served in the army.
καὶ υἱοὶ Βαλε Ασεβων καὶ Οζι καὶ Οζιηλ καὶ Ιεριμωθ καὶ Ουρι πέντε ἄρχοντες οἴκων πατρικῶν ἰσχυροὶ δυνάμει καὶ ὁ ἀριθμὸς αὐτῶν εἴκοσι καὶ δύο χιλιάδες καὶ τριάκοντα τέσσαρες
8 Beker’s sons were Zemirah, Joash, Eliezer, Elioenai, Omri, Jeremoth, Abijah, Anathoth, and Alemeth.
καὶ υἱοὶ Βαχιρ Ζαμαριας καὶ Ιωας καὶ Ελιεζερ καὶ Ελιθεναν καὶ Αμαρια καὶ Ιεριμωθ καὶ Αβιου καὶ Αναθωθ καὶ Γεμεεθ πάντες οὗτοι υἱοὶ Βαχιρ
9 In the records of the clans descended from Beker were the names of 20,200 men and leaders of the clans who served in the army.
καὶ ὁ ἀριθμὸς αὐτῶν κατὰ γενέσεις αὐτῶν ἄρχοντες οἴκων πατριῶν αὐτῶν ἰσχυροὶ δυνάμει εἴκοσι χιλιάδες καὶ διακόσιοι
10 Jediael’s son was Bilhan. Bilhan’s sons were Jeush, Benjamin, Ehud, Kenaanah, Zethan, Tarshish, and Ahishahar.
καὶ υἱοὶ Ιαδιηλ Βαλααν καὶ υἱοὶ Βαλααν Ιαους καὶ Βενιαμιν καὶ Αωθ καὶ Χανανα καὶ Ζαιθαν καὶ Ραμεσσαι καὶ Αχισααρ
11 They were all leaders of clans descended from them. There were 17,200 of them who served in the army.
πάντες οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ιαδιηλ ἄρχοντες τῶν πατριῶν ἰσχυροὶ δυνάμει ἑπτακαίδεκα χιλιάδες καὶ διακόσιοι ἐκπορευόμενοι δυνάμει τοῦ πολεμεῖν
12 Shuppim and Huppim were descendants of Ir. [One of] the descendants of Aher was Hushim.
καὶ Σαπφιν καὶ Απφιν καὶ υἱοὶ Ραωμ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ Αερ
13 Naphtali’s sons were Jahziel, Guni, Jezer, and Shillem. They were all descendants of [Jacob’s slave wife] Bilhah.
υἱοὶ Νεφθαλι Ιασιηλ καὶ Γωνι καὶ Ισσιηρ καὶ Σαλωμ υἱοὶ Βαλαα
14 [This is a list of] Manasseh’s descendants. Manasseh had a slave wife who was from Syria. She was the mother of Asriel and Makir. Makir was the father of Gilead.
υἱοὶ Μανασση Ασεριηλ ὃν ἔτεκεν ἡ παλλακὴ αὐτοῦ ἡ Σύρα ἔτεκεν τὸν Μαχιρ πατέρα Γαλααδ
15 Makir [had two wives]. They were from the clans of Huppim and Shuppim. One of Makir’s wives was named Maacah. Another descendant [of Makir] was Zelophehad. Zelophehad [had no sons; he] had only daughters.
καὶ Μαχιρ ἔλαβεν γυναῖκα τῷ Αμφιν καὶ Μαμφιν καὶ ὄνομα ἀδελφῆς αὐτοῦ Μοωχα καὶ ὄνομα τῷ δευτέρῳ Σαλπααδ καὶ ἐγεννήθησαν τῷ Σαλπααδ θυγατέρες
16 Makir’s wife Maacah gave birth to two sons whom she named Peresh and Sheresh. Sheresh’s sons were Ulam and Rakem.
καὶ ἔτεκεν Μοωχα γυνὴ Μαχιρ υἱὸν καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Φαρες καὶ ὄνομα ἀδελφοῦ αὐτοῦ Σορος υἱὸς αὐτοῦ Ουλαμ
17 Ulam’s son was Bedan. All those [men were considered to be] descendants of Gilead, who was the son of Makir and grandson of Manasseh.
καὶ υἱοὶ Ουλαμ Βαδαν οὗτοι υἱοὶ Γαλααδ υἱοῦ Μαχιρ υἱοῦ Μανασση
18 Makir’s sister name was Hammoleketh who was the mother of Ishdod, Abiezer, and Mahlah.
καὶ ἀδελφὴ αὐτοῦ ἡ Μαλεχεθ ἔτεκεν τὸν Ισαδεκ καὶ τὸν Αβιεζερ καὶ τὸν Μαελα
19 [One son of Gilead was] Shemida, whose sons were Ahian, Shechem, Likhi, and Aniam.
καὶ ἦσαν υἱοὶ Σεμιρα Ιααιμ καὶ Συχεμ καὶ Λακεϊ καὶ Ανιαμ
20 [This is a list of] the descendants of Ephraim. One son of Ephraim’s was Shuthelah. Shuthelah’s son was Bered. Bered’s son was Tahath. Tahath’s son was Eleadah. Eleadah’s son was [also named] Tahath.
καὶ υἱοὶ Εφραιμ Σωθαλα καὶ Βαραδ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ καὶ Θααθ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ Ελεαδα υἱὸς αὐτοῦ Νομεε υἱὸς αὐτοῦ
21 Tahath’s son was Zabad. Zabad’s son was Shuthelah. [Ephraim’s other sons, ] Ezer and Elead, went to Gath [city] to steal some cows and sheep. But they were both killed by some of the men from that city.
Ζαβεδ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ Σωθελε υἱὸς αὐτοῦ καὶ Εζερ καὶ Ελεαδ καὶ ἀπέκτειναν αὐτοὺς ἄνδρες Γεθ οἱ τεχθέντες ἐν τῇ γῇ ὅτι κατέβησαν λαβεῖν τὰ κτήνη αὐτῶν
22 Their father Ephraim cried/mourned for them for many days, and his family came to comfort him.
καὶ ἐπένθησεν Εφραιμ πατὴρ αὐτῶν ἡμέρας πολλάς καὶ ἦλθον ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ τοῦ παρακαλέσαι αὐτόν
23 Then he and his wife had sex [EUP] [again], and she became pregnant and gave birth to a son. Ephraim named him Beriah [which resembles the word ‘trouble’, ] because of the trouble that his family had experienced.
καὶ εἰσῆλθεν πρὸς τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔλαβεν ἐν γαστρὶ καὶ ἔτεκεν υἱόν καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Βαραγα ὅτι ἐν κακοῖς ἐγένετο ἐν οἴκῳ μου
24 Ephraim’s daughter was Sheerah. Her workers built [three towns]: Lower Beth-Horon, Upper Beth-Horon, and Uzzen-Sheerah.
καὶ ἐν ἐκείνοις τοῖς καταλοίποις καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν Βαιθωρων τὴν κάτω καὶ τὴν ἄνω καὶ υἱοὶ Οζαν Σεηρα
25 [Another] son of Ephraim was Rephah. Rephah’s son was Resheph. Resheph’s son was Telah. Telah’s son was Tahan.
καὶ Ραφη υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ Ρασεφ καὶ Θαλε υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ Θαεν υἱὸς αὐτοῦ
26 Tahan’s son was Ladan. Ladan’s son was Ammihud. Ammihud’s son was Elishama.
τῷ Λααδαν υἱῷ αὐτοῦ Αμιουδ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ Ελισαμα υἱὸς αὐτοῦ
27 Elishama’s son was Nun. Nun’s son was Joshua, [the man who led the Israelis after Moses died].
Νουμ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ Ιησουε υἱὸς αὐτοῦ
28 [This is a list of] the cities and areas where the descendants of Ephraim lived: Bethel and the nearby villages; Naaran to the east; Gezer to the west and the nearby villages; and Shechem and the nearby villages. Those villages extended [north] as far as Ayyah and the nearby villages.
καὶ κατάσχεσις αὐτῶν καὶ κατοικία αὐτῶν Βαιθηλ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς κατ’ ἀνατολὰς Νααραν πρὸς δυσμαῖς Γαζερ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς καὶ Συχεμ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς ἕως Γαιαν καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς
29 Along the border of the area where the descendants of Manasseh lived were these towns: Beth-Shan, Taanach, Megiddo, and Dor, and the nearby villages. The people who lived in all those places were descendants of Jacob’s son Joseph.
καὶ ἕως ὁρίων υἱῶν Μανασση Βαιθσααν καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς Θααναχ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς καὶ Βαλαδ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς Μαγεδδω καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς Δωρ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς ἐν ταύταις κατῴκησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ιωσηφ υἱοῦ Ισραηλ
30 Asher’s sons were Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, and Beriah. Their sister was Serah.
υἱοὶ Ασηρ Ιεμνα καὶ Ισουα καὶ Ισουι καὶ Βεριγα καὶ Σορε ἀδελφὴ αὐτῶν
31 Beriah’s sons were Heber and Malkiel. Malkiel was the father of Birzaith
καὶ υἱοὶ Βεριγα Χαβερ καὶ Μελχιηλ οὗτος πατὴρ Βερζαιθ
32 Heber was the father of Japhlet, Shomer, and Hotham. Their sister was Shua.
καὶ Χαβερ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ιαφαλητ καὶ τὸν Σαμηρ καὶ τὸν Χωθαμ καὶ τὴν Σωλα ἀδελφὴν αὐτῶν
33 Japhlet’s sons were Pasach, Bimhal, and Ashvath.
καὶ υἱοὶ Ιαφαλητ Φεσηχι Βαμαηλ καὶ Ασιθ οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ιαφαλητ
34 Japhlet’s [younger] brother was Shomer. Shomer’s sons were Rohgah, Hubbah, and Aram.
καὶ υἱοὶ Σεμμηρ Αχιουραογα καὶ Οβα καὶ Αραμ
35 Shomer’s [younger] brother was Hotham (OR, Helem). Hotham’s sons were Zophah, Imna, Shelesh, and Amal.
καὶ Βανηελαμ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ Σωφα καὶ Ιμανα καὶ Σελλης καὶ Αμαλ
36 Zophah’s sons were Suah, Harnepher, Shual, Beri, Imrah,
υἱοὶ Σωφα Χουχι Αρναφαρ καὶ Σουαλ καὶ Βαρι καὶ Ιμαρη
37 Bezer, Hod, Shamma, Shilshah, Ithran [whose other name was Jether], and Beera.
Σοβαλ καὶ Ωδ καὶ Σεμμα καὶ Σαλισα καὶ Ιεθραν καὶ Βεηρα
38 Jether’s sons were Jephunneh, Pispah, and Ara.
καὶ υἱοὶ Ιεθερ Ιφινα καὶ Φασφα καὶ Αρα
39 [Another descendant of Asher was] Ulla, whose sons were Arah, Hanniel, and Rizia.
καὶ υἱοὶ Ωλα Ορεχ Ανιηλ καὶ Ρασια
40 All those men were descendants of Asher, and they were all leaders of their clans. They were brave warriors and excellent leaders. In the record of the clans that are descended from Asher are [the names of] 26,000 men who served in the army.
πάντες οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ασηρ πάντες ἄρχοντες πατριῶν ἐκλεκτοὶ ἰσχυροὶ δυνάμει ἄρχοντες ἡγούμενοι ἀριθμὸς αὐτῶν εἰς παράταξιν τοῦ πολεμεῖν ἀριθμὸς αὐτῶν ἄνδρες εἴκοσι ἓξ χιλιάδες
