1 Six sons of [King] David were born in Hebron [city]. His oldest son was Amnon, whose mother Ahinoam was from Jezreel [city]. His next son was Daniel, whose mother was Abigail from Carmel [city].
Now these were the sons of David, which were born unto him in Hebron; the firstborn Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess; the second Daniel, of Abigail the Carmelitess:
2 His next son was Absalom, whose mother was Maacah, the daughter of Talmai, the king [who ruled] in Geshur [town]. His next son was Adonijah, whose mother was Haggith.
The third, Absalom the son of Maachah the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur: the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith:
3 The next son was Shephatiah, whose mother was Abital. His youngest son was Ithream, whose mother was Eglah.
The fifth, Shephatiah of Abital: the sixth, Ithream by Eglah his wife.
4 They were all born in Hebron, where David ruled for 7-1/2 years. After that, David ruled in Jerusalem for 33 years.
These six were born unto him in Hebron; and there he reigned seven years and six months: and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three years.
5 Many of David’s children were born in Jerusalem. Bathsheba, the daughter of Ammiel, gave birth to four of his sons: Shammua (OR, Shimea), Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon.
And these were born unto him in Jerusalem; Shimea, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon, four, of Bath–shua the daughter of Ammiel:
6 Nine [other sons of David were also born there. They were] Ibhar, Elishua (OR, Elishama), Eliphelet,
Ibhar also, and Elishama, and Eliphelet,
7 Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia,
And Nogah, and Nepheg, and Japhia,
8 Elishama, Eliada, and Eliphelet.
And Elishama, and Eliada, and Eliphelet, nine.
9 In addition to all those sons, David’s slave wives also gave birth to sons. David also had one daughter whose name was Tamar.
These were all the sons of David, beside the sons of the concubines, and Tamar their sister.
10 Solomon’s son was [King] Rehoboam. Rehoboam’s son was [King] Abijah. Abijah’s son was [King] Asa. Asa’s son was [King] Jehoshaphat.
And Solomon’s son was Rehoboam, Abia his son, Asa his son, Jehoshaphat his son,
11 Jehoshaphat’s son was [King] Jehoram (OR, Joram). Jehoram’s son was [King] Ahaziah. Ahaziah’s son was [King] Joash.
Joram his son, Ahaziah his son, Joash his son,
12 Joash’s son was [King] Amaziah. Amaziah’s son was [King] Azariah. Azariah’s son was [King] Jotham.
Amaziah his son, Azariah his son, Jotham his son,
13 Jotham’s son was [King] Ahaz. Ahaz’s son was [King] Hezekiah. Hezekiah’s son was [King] Manasseh.
Ahaz his son, Hezekiah his son, Manasseh his son,
14 Manasseh’s son was [King] Amon. Amon’s son was [King] Josiah.
Amon his son, Josiah his son.
15 Josiah’s oldest son was Johanan. His other sons were Jehoiakim, Zedekiah, and Shallum.
And the sons of Josiah were, the firstborn Johanan, the second Jehoiakim, the third Zedekiah, the fourth Shallum.
16 Jehoiakim’s sons were Jehoiachin (OR, Jeconiah) and Zedekiah.
And the sons of Jehoiakim: Jeconiah his son, Zedekiah his son.
17 [King] Jehoiachin was captured [and taken to Babylon]. His sons were Shealtiel,
And the sons of Jeconiah; Assir, Salathiel his son,
18 Malkiram, Pedaiah, Shenazzar, Jekamiah, Hoshama, and Nedabiah.
Malchiram also, and Pedaiah, and Shenazar, Jecamiah, Hoshama, and Nedabiah.
19 Pedaiah’s sons were Zerubbabel and Shimei. [Two of] Zerubbabel’s sons were Meshullam and Hananiah, and their sister was Shelomith.
And the sons of Pedaiah were, Zerubbabel, and Shimei: and the sons of Zerubbabel; Meshullam, and Hananiah, and Shelomith their sister:
20 [Zerubbabel’s] five [other sons were] Hashubah, Ohel, Berekiah, Hasadiah, and Jushab-Hesed.
And Hashubah, and Ohel, and Berechiah, and Hasadiah, Jushab–hesed, five.
21 The descendants of Hananiah were Pelatiah and Jeshaiah. Jeshaiah’s son was Rephaiah. Rephaiah’s son was Arnan. Arnan’s son was Obadiah. Obadiah’s son was Shecaniah.
And the sons of Hananiah; Pelatiah, and Jesaiah: the sons of Rephaiah, the sons of Arnan, the sons of Obadiah, the sons of Shechaniah.
22 Shecaniah’s son was Shemaiah. Shemaiah’s five sons were Hattush, Igal, Bariah, Neariah, and Shaphat.
And the sons of Shechaniah; Shemaiah: and the sons of Shemaiah; Hattush, and Igeal, and Bariah, and Neariah, and Shaphat, six.
23 Neariah’s three sons were Elioenai, Hizkiah, and Azrikam.
And the sons of Neariah; Elioenai, and Hezekiah, and Azrikam, three.
24 Elioenai’s seven sons were Hodaviah, Eliashib, Pelaiah, Akkub, Johanan, Delaiah, and Anani.
And the sons of Elioenai were, Hodaiah, and Eliashib, and Pelaiah, and Akkub, and Johanan, and Dalaiah, and Anani, seven.
