1 Chronicles 24
1 These are the groups of the descendants of Aaron [the first Supreme Priest]: Aaron’s four sons were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
Tala bituka ya bana mibali ya Aron: Nadabi, Abiyu, Eleazari mpe Itamari.
2 But Nadab and Abihu died before their father died, and they had no children. So their [younger] brothers Eleazar and Ithamar became the priests.
Nadabi mpe Abiyu bakufaki liboso ya tata na bango mpe batikalaki kobota te. Eleazari mpe Itamari basalaki mosala na bango ya bonganga-Nzambe.
3 Zadok, who was a descendant of Eleazar, and Ahimelech, who was a descendant of Ithamar, helped David to separate his descendants into two groups. Each group had certain duties.
Tala ndenge Davidi akabolaki bango kolanda misala oyo bapesaki bango: Tsadoki, na etuka ya Eleazari; Ayimeleki, na etuka ya Itamari.
4 There were more leaders among the descendants of Eleazar than there were among the descendants of Ithamar. So they appointed 16 leaders from Eleazar’s descendants and eight leaders from Ithamar’s descendants.
Bamonaki ete kati na bakitani ya Eleazari, bana mibali bazalaki ebele koleka bato oyo bazalaki kati na bakitani ya Itamari. Boye, bakabolaki bana mibali ya Eleazari lokola bakonzi ya mabota zomi na motoba mpe bana mibali ya Itamari lokola bakonzi ya mabota mwambe.
5 There were temple officials and priests, including descendants of both Eleazar and Ithamar, to make sure that the work was divided fairly. So they decided what work each person would do by (casting lots/throwing marked stones).
Babetaki zeke mpo na kokabola bango, pamba te kati na bakitani ya Eleazari mpe ya Itamari, ezalaki na bakambi ya Esika ya bule mpe bakambi ya mosala ya Nzambe.
6 Shemaiah, the son of Nethanel, who was a descendant of Levi, wrote down the names [of the leaders of each group] while David and his officials were watching. Zadok, the [Supreme] Priest, and Ahimelech [his assistant], and the leaders of the families of the priests and of the families of the other descendants of Levi also watched.
Shemaya, mokomi mikanda, mwana mobali ya Netaneeli, na libota ya Levi, akomaki bakombo na bango na miso ya mokonzi, ya bakambi, ya Nganga-Nzambe Tsadoki, ya Ayimeleki, mwana mobali ya Abiatari; mpe ya bakambi ya mabota ya Banganga-Nzambe mpe Balevi. Babetaki zeke mbala mibale mpo na etuka ya Eleazari, mpe mbala moko, mpo na etuka ya Itamari.
7 Jehoiarib was the first one whose name was selected [by casting lots/throwing marked stones]. Next Jedaiah was selected.
Tala ndenge bakambi ya mabota baponamaki na nzela ya zeke: zeke ya liboso ekweyaki epai ya Yeoyaribi; zeke ya mibale ekweyaki epai ya Yedaeya;
8 Next, Harim was selected. Next, Seorim was selected.
zeke ya misato ekweyaki epai ya Arimi; zeke ya minei ekweyaki epai ya Seorimi;
9 Next, Malkijah was selected. Next, Mijamin was selected.
zeke ya mitano ekweyaki epai ya Malikiya; zeke ya motoba ekweyaki epai ya Miyamini;
10 Next, Hakkoz was selected. Next, Abijah was selected.
zeke ya sambo ekweyaki epai ya Akotsi; zeke ya mwambe ekweyaki epai ya Abiya;
11 Next, Jeshua was selected. Next, Shecaniah was selected.
zeke ya libwa ekweyaki epai ya Jozue; zeke ya zomi ekweyaki epai ya Shekania;
12 Next, Eliashib was selected. Next, Jakim was selected.
zeke ya zomi na moko ekweyaki epai ya Eliashibi; zeke ya zomi na mibale ekweyaki epai ya Yakimi;
13 Next, Huppah was selected. Next, Jeshebeab was selected.
zeke ya zomi na misato ekweyaki epai ya Upa; zeke ya zomi na minei ekweyaki epai ya Yeshebeabi;
14 Next, Bilgah was selected. Next, Immer was selected.
zeke ya zomi na mitano ekweyaki epai ya Biliga; zeke ya zomi na motoba ekweyaki epai ya Imeri;
15 Next, Hezir was selected. Next, Happizzez was selected.
zeke ya zomi na sambo ekweyaki epai ya Eziri; zeke ya zomi na mwambe ekweyaki epai ya Apitsetsi;
16 Next, Pethahiah was selected. Next, Jehezkel was selected.
zeke ya zomi na libwa ekweyaki epai ya Petaya; zeke ya tuku mibale ekweyaki epai ya Ezekieli;
17 Next, Jakin was selected. Next, Gamul was selected.
zeke ya tuku mibale na moko ekweyaki epai ya Yakini; zeke ya tuku mibale na mibale ekweyaki epai ya Gamuli;
18 Next, Delaiah was selected. Next, Maaziah was selected.
zeke ya tuku mibale na misato ekweyaki epai ya Delaya; zeke ya tuku mibale na minei ekweyaki epai ya Maazia.
19 Those were the men who were chosen to be the leaders of the groups that would serve in the temple, obeying the regulations that were set down by Aaron, regulations which Yahweh, the God to whom the Israeli people belonged, had given to him.

20 [This is a list of some of] the other descendants of Levi: Amram was the ancestor of Shubael and Jehdeiah.
Tala bakitani mosusu ya Levi oyo bazalaki bakambi ya bituka: Shubaeli, mpo na etuka ya Amirami; Yedeya, mpo na etuka ya Shubaeli;
21 Rehabiah was the ancestor of Isshiah, the oldest son in his family.
Yishiya, mpo na etuka ya Reabia;
22 Izhar was the father of Shelomoth and the grandfather of Jahath.
Shelomoti, mpo na etuka ya Yitseari; Yaati, mpo na etuka ya Shelomiti.
23 [Kohath’s son] Hebron had four sons: Jeriah and his [younger] brothers Amariah, Jahaziel, and Jekameam.
Bana mibali ya Ebron: mwana ya liboso, Yeriya; mwana ya mibale, Amaria; mwana ya misato, Yaazieli; mpe mwana ya minei, Yekameami;
24 Uzziel was the father of Micah and the grandfather of Shamir.
Shamiri, mpo na etuka ya Mishe, mwana mobali ya Uzieli;
25 Micah’s [younger] brother was the father of Zechariah.
Zakari, mpo na etuka ya Yishiya, ndeko mobali ya Mishe.
26 The sons of Merari were Mahli, Mushi, and Jaaziah.
Bana mibali ya Merari: Maali mpe Mushi. Beno, mpo na etuka ya Yaaziya.
27 Jaaziah had four sons: Beno, Shoham, Zaccur, and Ibri.
Bakitani ya Merari: na nzela ya mwana na ye ya mobali Yaaziya: Beno, Shoami, Zakuri mpe Ibiri.
28 Mahli’s son Eleazar did not have any sons.
Na nzela ya mwana na ye ya mobali Maali: Eleazari oyo atikalaki kobota te.
29 From the descendants of [Mahli’s second son] there was Jerahmeel.
Mpo na Kishi: Yerameeli, mwana na ye ya mobali.
30 The sons of Mushi were Mahli, Eder, and Jerimoth. Those were descendants of Levi who were listed according to the leaders of their families.
Bana mibali ya Mushi: Maali, Ederi mpe Yerimoti. Bango wana nde bazalaki bakitani ya Levi kolanda bituka na bango.
31 The jobs they would do were decided by (casting lots/throwing marked stones), like their fellow Israelis, the descendants of Aaron, did. They cast lots {The lots were cast} while King David, Zadok, Ahimelech, and the leaders of the families of the priests and the [other] descendants of Levi watched. They gave the same jobs to the families of each oldest brother and each youngest brother.
Bango mpe babetaki zeke lokola bandeko na bango ya mibali, bakitani ya Aron, na miso ya mokonzi Davidi, ya Tsadoki, ya Ayimeleki, ya bakambi ya mabota ya Banganga-Nzambe mpe ya Balevi. Boye bazalaki komona mabota nyonso ndenge moko, ezala libota ya kulutu to ya leki.
