1 Chronicles 16
1 They brought the Sacred Chest [to Gibeon] and put it inside the Sacred Tent that David had [told his workers to] set up. Then they brought offerings to be completely burned [on the altar] and offerings to enable them to maintain fellowship [with God].
Chúng thỉnh hòm của Ðức Chúa Trời về, để trong trại của Ða-vít đã dựng lên cho nó; đoạn dâng những của lễ thiêu và của lễ bình an tại trước mặt Ðức Chúa Trời.
2 When David had finished presenting all those offerings, he [asked Yahweh to] bless the people.
Khi Ða-vít đã dâng của lễ thiêu và của lễ bình an xong, bèn nhơn danh Ðức Giê-hô-va chúc phước cho dân sự;
3 He gave a loaf of bread, some dates, and some raisins to every Israeli man and woman [who was there].
đoạn phân phát cho hết thảy người Y-sơ-ra-ên, cả nam và nữ, mỗi người một ổ bánh, một miếng thịt, và một cái bánh nho khô.
4 Then David appointed some of the descendants of Levi to stand in front of [the Sacred Tent in which] the Sacred Chest [had been placed], to lead the people who worshiped and thanked and praised Yahweh, the God of the Israeli people.
Ngươi lập mấy người Lê-vi hầu việc trước hòm của Ðức Giê-hô-va, ngợi khen, cảm tạ, và ca tụng Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên:
5 Asaph, who played the cymbals, was their leader. Zechariah was his assistant. The other descendants of Levi [who helped Asaph] were Jaaziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-Edom, and Jeiel. They played lyres and harps.
A-sáp làm chánh, Xa-cha-ri làm phó, rồi thì Giê -i-ên, Sê-mi-ra-mốt, Giê-hi-ên, Ma-ti-thia, Ê-li-áp, Bê-na-gia, Ô-bết-Ê-đôm, và Giê -i-ên, đều cầm nhạc khí, đờn cầm và đờn sắt; còn A-sáp nổi chập chỏa vang lên.
6 Benaiah and Jahaziel were priests who blew trumpets frequently in front of [the Sacred Tent in which was] the Sacred Chest.
Bê-na-gia và thầy tế lễ Gia-ha-xi-ên đều hằng thổi kèn ở trước hòm giao ước của Ðức Chúa Trời.
7 On that day, David gave to Asaph and his helpers this psalm to praise Yahweh:
Trong ngày đó, Ða-vít trao nơi tay A-sáp và anh em người bài hát nầy, đặng ngợi khen Ðức Giê-hô-va:
8 Thank God, and pray to him [MTY]. Tell the people of all nations what he has done.
Ðáng ngợi khen Ðức Giê-hô-va cầu khẩn danh Ngài, Và đồn công việc Ngài ra giữa các dân tộc!
9 Sing to him; sing songs to praise him. Tell about all his miraculous deeds.
Hãy ca hát cho Ngài, hãy ngợi khen Ngài! Suy gẫm về các công việc mầu của Ngài.
10 Be glad that you belong to him [MTY]; those who want to know Yahweh better should rejoice.
Hãy lấy danh thánh Ngài làm vinh; Phàm ai tìm cầu Ðức Giê-hô-va, khá vui lòng!
11 Trust in Yahweh and in his power; continually seek to get help from him.
Phải tìm cầu Ðức Giê-hô-va và sức mạnh Ngài, Phải tìm mặt Ngài luôn luôn.
12 Do not forget the wonderful things that he has done, the miracles and the just laws that he has given to us.
Hỡi dòng dõi của Y-sơ-ra-ên, là đầy tớ Ngài, Hỡi con cháu của Gia-cốp, là kẻ Ngài chọn,
13 We people are the descendants of his servant Jacob; we are the people of Israel whom he has chosen.
Hãy nhớ lại công việc mầu của Ngài đã làm, Những phép lạ Ngài, và lời xét đoán của miệng Ngài.
14 Yahweh is our God. His just/fair laws are known by people throughout the world.
Ngài vốn là Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời của chúng ta; Sự xét đoán Ngài làm ra khắp thế gian.
15 He never forgets the agreement that he has made: he made a promise that will last for 1,000 generations.
Khá nhớ đời đời sự giao ước Ngài, Và mạng lịnh Ngài đã định cho ngàn đời,
16 That is the agreement that he made with Abraham, and he repeated that agreement to Isaac.
Tức giao ước, Ngài đã lập cùng Áp-ra-ham, Và lời thề Ngài đã thề cùng Y-sác;
17 It was an agreement for the Israeli people, and he wanted that agreement to endure forever.
Lại quyết định cho Gia-cốp làm điều lệ, Cho Y-sơ-ra-ên làm giao ước đời đời,
18 What he said was, “I will give the Canaan region to you, to belong to you [and your descendants forever].”
Rằng: Ta sẽ ban cho ngươi xứ Ca-na-an, Là phần cơ nghiệp ngươi.
19 [He said that to them] when there were only a few of them, a tiny group of people who were living in that land (like strangers/that belonged to other people);
Khi ấy các ngươi chỉ một số ít người, Hèn mọn, và làm khách trong xứ;
20 they continued to wander from one place to another, from one kingdom to another.
Trảy từ dân nầy qua dân kia, Từ nước nầy đến nước khác.
21 But he did not allow others to oppress them, and he warned kings by saying to them,
Ngài không cho ai hà hiếp chúng, Ngài trách phạt các vua vì cớ họ,
22 “Do not harm the people whom I have chosen! Do not harm my prophets!”
Mà rằng: Chớ đụng đến những kẻ chịu xức dầu ta, Ðừng làm hại cho các tiên tri ta.
23 You people throughout the world, sing to Yahweh. Every day proclaim [to others] that he has saved us.
Hỡi người khắp thế gian, khá hát ngợi khen Ðức Giê-hô-va; Ngày ngày hãy tỏ ra sự chửng cứu của Ngài!
24 Tell the people of the nations that he is great; tell all the people-groups the marvelous things [that he has done].
Trong các nước hãy thuật sự vinh hiển của Ngài; Tại muôn dân khá kể những công việc mầu của Ngài.
25 Yahweh is great, and he deserves to be praised very much. He should be revered more than all the gods,
Vì Ðức Giê-hô-va là lớn, rất đáng ngợi khen, Ðáng kính sợ hơn các thần.
26 because all the gods that the [other] people-groups [worship] are only idols, but Yahweh [is truly great; he] created the skies.
Vì các thần của những dân tộc vốn là hình tượng; Còn Ðức Giê-hô-va dựng nên các từng trời.
27 He is glorious and majestic; his power and joy fill his Sacred Tent.
Ở trước mặt Ngài có sự vinh hiển, oai nghi; Tại nơi Ngài ngự có quyền năng và sự vui vẻ,
28 You people in nations all over the world, praise Yahweh! Praise Yahweh for his glorious power [HEN]!
Hỡi các dòng của muôn dân, Khá tôn Ðức Giê-hô-va vinh hiển và quyền năng;
29 Praise Yahweh like he [MTY] deserves to be praised. Bring an offering and come to his Sacred Tent. Worship Yahweh because he is holy.
Khá tôn Ðức Giê-hô-va vinh hiển xét đoán danh Ngài, Ðem lễ vật đến trước mặt Ngài; hãy mặc lấy trang sức thánh khiết mà thờ lạy Ðức Giê-hô-va.
30 Everyone on the earth should tremble in front of Yahweh. He put the earth firmly [in its place]; and nothing ever will be able to move/shake it.
Hỡi khắp thiên hạ, khá run sợ trước mặt Ngài. Thế giới cũng được vững bền, không sao lay động.
31 Everything in the sky and on the earth should be happy. People [everywhere] should say, “Yahweh is our king!”
Các từng trời hãy vui mừng, trái đất khá hỉ lạc; Còn trong các nước người ta đáng nói: Ðức Giê-hô-va quản trị!
32 The oceans and all the creatures that are in the oceans should shout to praise him; the fields and everything that is in them should rejoice.
Biển và mọi vật ở trong phải dội tiếng lớn lên; Ðồng nội và vạn vật trong nó đều khá vui vẻ!
33 When they do that, [it will be as though] the trees in the forest will sing joyfully in front of Yahweh. That will happen when he comes to judge [everyone on] [MTY] the earth.
Bấy giờ các cây cối trong rừng sẽ hát mừng rỡ trước mặt Ðức Giê-hô-va; Vì Ngài đến đặng xét đoán thế gian.
34 Thank Yahweh, because [everything that he does is] good. He faithfully loves us forever.
Hãy cảm tạ Ðức Giê-hô-va, vì Ngài là nhân từ; Sự thương xót Ngài còn đến đời đời.
35 Say to him, “God, you are the one who rescues us, so gather us together and save us from [the armies of] other nations. When you do that, we will thank you [MTY], and we will be happy to praise you.”
Hãy nói: Hỡi Ðức Chúa Trời, Ðấng chửng cứu chúng tôi! xin hãy cứu rỗi chúng tôi, Hiệp chúng tôi lại, và giải thoát khỏi các nước, Ðể chúng tôi cảm tạ danh thánh Chúa, Và nhờ sự ngợi khen Chúa mà lấy làm được vinh.
36 Praise Yahweh, the God of us Israeli people, He has always existed, and he will exist forever. After the people [finished singing that song], they all said, “(Amen/May it be so)!”, and they praised Yahweh.
Ðáng ngợi khen Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên. Từ đời đời cho đến đời đời! Cả dân sự đều đáp rằng: A-men! và ngợi khen Ðức Giê-hô-va.
37 Then David left Asaph and the other members of his clan there in front of [the tent in which] Yahweh’s Sacred Chest [had been placed]. He told them that they must do their work there every day.
Vậy, Ða-vít đặt A-sáp và anh em người tại đó, trước hòm giao ước của Ðức Giê-hô-va, hầu cho mỗi ngày phục sự luôn luôn ở trước hòm, làm việc ngày nào theo ngày nấy.
38 David also left Obed-Edom and 68 other descendants of Levi to work with them. Hosah and Obed-Edom guarded [the entrances of the Sacred Tent].
Cũng đặt Ô-bết-Ê-đôm và anh em người làm kẻ giữ cửa, số được sáu mươi tám người, và Ô-bết-Ê-đôm, con trai của Giê-đu-thun, cùng Hô-sa;
39 David also told Zadok the [Supreme] Priest and the other priests who worked with him to remain in front of Yahweh’s Sacred Tent, which was still at the place where the Israeli people worshiped [God there] in Gibeon [city].
lại đặt thầy tế lễ cả Xa-đốc và anh em người, là những thầy tế lễ ở trước đền tạm của Ðức Giê-hô-va, tại nơi cao trong Ga-ba-ôn,
40 Every morning and every evening they burned offerings on the altar, obeying the rules/laws that had been written [by Moses], rules/laws which Yahweh had given to the Israeli people.
đặng của lễ thiêu cho Ðức Giê-hô-va, tại trên bàn thờ của lễ thiêu, tùy theo các điều chép trong luật pháp của Ðức Giê-hô-va, mà Ngài đã truyền dạy cho Y-sơ-ra-ên;
41 With them were Heman and Jeduthun and other descendants of Levi. They [MTY] were chosen to sing songs to praise Yahweh because he faithfully loves his people forever.
với chúng có đặt Hê-nam, Giê-đu-thun, và những người đã được chọn khác, gọi từng danh, đặng ngợi khen Ðức Giê-hô-va, vì sự thương xót Ngài còn đến đời đời;
42 Heman and Jeduthun were appointed to play the trumpets and cymbals when [the other descendants of Levi sang sacred songs]. The sons of Jeduthun were appointed to guard the gates [of the Sacred Tent].
còn Hê-man và Giê-đu-thun cầm những kèn và chập chỏa để làm nó vang dầy lên, cùng các nhạc khí dùng về bài ca hát của Ðức Chúa Trời; các con trai của Giê-đu-thun thì đứng tại nơi cửa.
43 Then all the people left. They returned to their homes, and David returned home to [ask Yahweh to] bless his family.
Cả dân sự đều đi, mỗi người trở về nhà mình; còn Ða-vít trở về đặng chúc phước cho nhà người.
