< Romans 1 >

1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God,
Pọl, odibo Kraịst Jisọs, onye Chineke kpọrọ ka ọ bụrụ onyeozi ya na onye o kewapụtara ka o zisaa oziọma ya.
2 which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the holy Scriptures,
Oziọma a bụ nke ahụ Chineke kwere na nkwa nʼoge gara aga site nʼọnụ ndị amụma ya nke e dere ihe banyere ya nʼakwụkwọ nsọ.
3 concerning his Son, who was descended from David according to the flesh
Oziọma a metụtara Ọkpara ya, onye bụ nwa Devid site nʼọmụmụ nke anụ ahụ.
4 and who was declared to be the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by the resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord,
Onye esitere na Mmụọ nke ịdị nsọ họpụta ị bụ Ọkpara Chineke, site nʼike nke mbilite nʼọnwụ, bụ Kraịst Jisọs, Onyenwe anyị.
5 through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name among all the Gentiles,
Onye anyị sitere nʼaka ya nata amara na ọrụ ị bụ onyeozi, ime ka ndị mba ọzọ nwee nrube isi nke okwukwe nʼetiti ha nʼihi aha ya.
6 including you who are also called to belong to Jesus Christ;
Tinyere unu onwe unu ndị ahụ a kpọrọ ka ha bụrụ ndị nke Jisọs Kraịst.
7 to all who are in Rome, beloved by God and called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Ya bụ, unu ndị Chineke hụrụ nʼanya bi na Rom, ndị ọ kpọrọ ka ha bụrụ ndị nsọ: Ka amara na udo nke sitere na Chineke Nna anyị, na Onyenwe anyị Jisọs Kraịst dịrị unu.
8 First, I give thanks to my God through Jesus Christ for you all, because your faith is proclaimed in all the world.
Na mbụ, ana m ekele Chineke ekele nʼihi unu niile, site nʼaha Jisọs Kraịst. Nʼihi na a na-ekwusa ihe banyere okwukwe unu nʼụwa niile.
9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that I continually remember you,
Chineke, onye m na-ejere ozi, nʼime mmụọ site na ikwusa oziọma nke Ọkpara ya, bụ onye akaebe na m na-echeta unu mgbe niile nʼekpere m.
10 always pleading in my prayers that somehow by God's will I may now at last succeed in coming to you.
Nʼekpere m oge niile, a na m arịọ ka ọ bụrụ ihe ga-ekwe mee na site nʼike Chineke, aga m enwe ohere ịbịa leta unu.
11 For I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, that you may be established,
Ọ na-agụ m agụụ nke ukwuu ịbịa hụ unu anya, nʼihi na achọrọ m ka unu keta oke nʼonyinye Mmụọ Nsọ nke Chineke nyere m, nke ga-enyere unu aka iguzosi ike nʼokwukwe.
12 that is, that while I am among you we may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith, both yours and mine.
Ọ bụkwaghị naanị nke a, kama achọrọ m ka anyị gbarịtaa onwe anyị ume site nʼokwukwe anyị.
13 I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, that I have often intended to come to you (but have been hindered until the present time) so that I might have some fruit among you as well, just as I have had among the other Gentiles.
Ụmụnna m, achọrọ m ime ka unu mata na atụọla m atụmatụ ịbịa leta unu ọtụtụ mgbe (ma tutu ruo ugbu a e gbochiri m ịbịa), ka m nwee ike nweta mkpụrụ nʼetiti unu, dịka m nwere nʼetiti ndị mba ọzọ.
14 I am under obligation both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish;
Nʼihi na abụ m onye ji ụgwọ nye ndị Griik na ndị mba ọzọ, nyekwa ndị maara ihe na ndị nzuzu.
15 thus the eagerness on my part to preach the gospel to you also who are in Rome.
Ya mere m ji dị njikere ikwusa oziọma nyekwa unu bụ ndị bi na Rom.
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, both to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith, just as it is written, “The righteous will live by faith.”
Nʼihi na ọ bụ nʼoziọma ka e kpughere ezi omume Chineke, ezi omume nke na-esite nʼokwukwe ruo okwukwe. Dịka e siri dee ya, “Onye ezi omume ga-esite nʼokwukwe dị ndụ.”
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth by their unrighteousness.
Nʼihi na e sitela nʼeluigwe kpughe ọnụma Chineke megide mmehie na ajọ omume niile nke ndị na-emebi iwu, ndị na-esite nʼajọ omume ha na-eguzogide eziokwu ahụ.
19 Because what is known about God is evident among them, for God has made it evident to them.
Nʼihi na ndị a maara ihe ha kwesiri ịmata banyere Chineke. Ha maara ya nʼihi na Chineke nʼonwe ya emeela ka o doo ha anya.
20 For his invisible qualities, both his everlasting power and his divinity, have been plainly seen from the creation of the world, being perceived through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.
Ụmụ mmadụ na-aghọta ihe ndị a site nʼihe ndị e kere eke. Nʼihi nke a ụmụ mmadụ enwekwaghị ngọpụ. (aïdios g126)
21 For although they knew God, they did not glorify him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their thoughts, and their senseless hearts were darkened.
22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools
Mgbe ha na-eche na ha bụ ndị maara ihe, ha amataghị na ha bụ ndị nzuzu.
23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man, birds, four-footed animals, and reptiles.
Ihe ndị a yiri mmadụ na-anwụ anwụ, na nnụnụ, na ụmụ anụmanụ, na ihe na-akpụ akpụ nʼala.
24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to dishonor their bodies among themselves,
25 because they exchanged the truth of God for falsehood and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
Ha were okwu ụgha dochie nʼọnọdụ eziokwu banyere Chineke. Amen. (aiōn g165)
26 For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions, for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is contrary to nature.
Ọ bụ nke a mere Chineke jiri nyefee ha nʼaka agụụ anụ ahụ nke na-eme ihere. Nʼihi ya, ọ bụladị ndị inyom na ndị inyom ibe ha nọgidere na-enwe mmekọrịta nʼụzọ na-ezighị ezi.
27 In the same way the men also, having abandoned the natural function of the female, were inflamed in their lust for one another, men committing shameful acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.
Ọzọkwa, kama ha na ndị inyom inwe mmekọrịta; ndị ikom ha họọrọ ka ha na ndị ikom ibe ha na-enwe ụdị mmekọrịta nke ha na ndị inyom kwesiri inwe. Nwoke na-edinakwuru nwoke ibe ya. Nʼụzọ dị otu a, ha natakwara ntaramahụhụ kwesiri ha nʼihi ihe ọjọọ ndị a ha na-eme.
28 And just as they considered it worthless to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a worthless mind, to do what is not proper.
29 They are filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, evil, covetousness, and malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, and maliciousness. They are gossips,
Ha jupụtara nʼajọ omume na mmehie niile, anya ukwu na aghụghọ. Ha jupụtakwara nʼekworo, na igbu mmadụ, na esemokwu, na uche gbagọrọ agbagọ na ịkpọ asị. Ha bụ ndị na-ekwu okwu azụ,
30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,
na ndị nkwutọ na ndị kpọrọ Chineke asị, na ndị na-akparị mmadụ na ndị mpako na ndị na-anya isi. Ha na-atụpụta ụzọ ọhụrụ ime ihe ọjọọ, ha adịghị asọpụrụ ndị mụrụ ha.
31 senseless, untrustworthy, without natural affection, irreconcilable, and unmerciful.
Ha bụkwa ndị na-enweghị nghọta, ndị na-enweghị okwukwe, ndị obi ọjọọ na ndị na-enweghị obi ebere.
32 Though they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things deserve death, they not only do them but also approve of those who practice them.
