< Romans 2 >

1 Therefore yoʋ are without excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For on whatever grounds yoʋ judge another, yoʋ condemn yoʋrself, for yoʋ who judge do the same things.
Nʼihi ya, ị nweghị ngọpụ, onye ọbụla ị bụ, mgbe ị na-ekpe ndị ọzọ ikpe. Nʼihi na mgbe ị mara onye ọzọ ikpe, ọ bụ onwe gị ka ị na-ama ikpe maka na gị onwe gị na-emekwa ụdị ihe ndị ahụ.
2 Now we know that the judgment of God against those who do such things is in accordance with truth.
Ma anyị maara na Chineke na-ekpe ndị na-eme ihe ọjọọ dị otu a ikpe nʼụzọ ziri ezi.
3 Do yoʋ suppose, O man—yoʋ who judge those who do such things and yet do them yoʋrself—that yoʋ will escape the judgment of God?
Gị bụ mmadụ, gịnị mere i ji na-ama ndị na-eme ihe dị otu a ikpe mgbe gị onwe gị na-eme otu ihe ahụ. I chere na ị ga-agbanarị ikpe Chineke?
4 Or do yoʋ despise the riches of his kindness, forbearance, and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads yoʋ to repentance?
5 But according to yoʋr stubbornness and yoʋr unrepentant heart, yoʋ are storing up wrath for yoʋrself on the day of wrath, revelation, and the righteous judgment of God,
Ma nʼihi isiike gị na obi gị kpọrọ nkụ nke enweghị nchegharị, ị na-akpakọtara onwe gị ọnụma nke Chineke nʼụbọchị oke iwe ya, mgbe a ga-ekpughe ikpe ya ziri ezi.
6 who will repay each person according to his works.
Ọ ga-akwụghachi onye ọbụla dịka ọrụ ya siri dị.
7 To those who by patient endurance in good works seek glory, honor, and immortality, he will give eternal life; (aiōnios g166)
Chineke ga-enye ndị niile sitere na ntachiobi na ezi ọrụ na-achọ otuto na nsọpụrụ na ndụ ahụ na-adịgide adịgide bụ ndụ ebighị ebi. (aiōnios g166)
8 but for those who are self-seeking and obey unrighteousness instead of the truth, there will be anger and wrath.
Ma ndị niile na-akpa iche iche, ndị jụkwara isoro eziokwu ahụ, ndị na-anọgidekwa na-eme ihe ọjọọ, ka a ga-ata ahụhụ, gosi ha iwe ọkụ na ọnụma.
9 There will be tribulation and distress for everyone who does evil, the Jew first and also the Greek;
Nsogbu na iru ụjụ ga-abịakwasị ndị niile na-eme ihe ọjọọ, mbụ, ọ ga-adịrị ndị Juu, emechaa, ọ ga-adịkwara ndị mba ọzọ.
10 but there will be glory, honor, and peace for everyone who does good, the Jew first and also the Greek.
Ma otuto na nsọpụrụ na udo ga-abụ nke onye ọbụla na-eme ezi ihe, malite nʼonye Juu ruokwa na ndị mba ọzọ.
11 For there is no partiality with God.
Nʼihi na Chineke anaghị ele mmadụ anya nʼihu.
12 For all who have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.
Ndị niile mehiere nʼọnọdụ enweghị iwu ga-ala nʼiyi nʼọnọdụ enweghị iwu. Ma ndị niile mehiere megide iwu ahụ ha mara ihe banyere ya ka a ga-ama ikpe dịka iwu siri kwuo.
13 For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law will be justified.
Nʼihi na ọ bụghị ndị ahụ na-anụ mgbe a na-agụpụta akwụkwọ iwu ka a na-agụ dịka ndị ezi omume nʼihu Chineke, kama ọ bụ ndị ahụ niile na-eme ihe iwu kwuru ka a ga-agụ ka ndị ezi omume.
14 For when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do what is required by the law, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law.
Nʼezie, mgbe ndị mba ọzọ bụ ndị na-enweghị iwu sitere nʼobi ha mee ihe iwu kwuru, o gosiri na ha bụ iwu nye onwe ha, ọ bụ ezie na ha enweghị iwu ahụ e dere ede.
15 They show that what the law requires is written in their hearts, as their conscience bears witness with them and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even defend them
16 on the day when, according to my gospel, God will judge the secret thoughts of men through Jesus Christ.
Dịka oziọma ahụ m na-ekwusa si kwuo, Chineke ga-ekpe ndụ nzuzo niile ụmụ mmadụ na-ebi ikpe, site na Kraịst Jisọs.
17 Behold, yoʋ call yoʋrself a Jew and rely on the law and boast in God.
Ma ugbu a, gị onye na-akpọ onwe gị onye Juu, onye tụkwasịrị obi gị nʼiwu ahụ, onye na-anyakwa isi na ị maara Chineke,
18 Yoʋ know his will and approve what is excellent, because yoʋ are instructed from the law.
ọ bụrụ na ị mara uche ya ma kwenyekwa nʼihe nke ka mma nʼihi na e ziri gị ihe site nʼiwu;
19 And yoʋ have confidence that yoʋ yoʋrself are a guide for the blind, a light for those who are in darkness,
ọ bụrụ na o doro gị anya na ị bụ onyendu nye ndị ìsì, bụrụkwa ìhè nye ndị nọ nʼọchịchịrị,
20 an instructor of the foolish, and a teacher of children, because yoʋ have in the law the embodiment of knowledge and truth.
ị na-agụkwa onwe gị dịka onye nkuzi nke ndị na-amaghị ihe, na onye nkuzi ụmụntakịrị, nʼihi na ị maara iwu nke ọma, jupụtakwa nʼamamihe na eziokwu.
21 Yoʋ then who teach others, do yoʋ not teach yoʋrself? Yoʋ who preach against stealing, do yoʋ steal?
Gị onye na-akụziri mmadụ ibe gị ihe, ị na-akụzikwara onwe gị? Gị onye na-ekwusa ka mmadụ ezula ohi, ị na-ezu ohi?
22 Yoʋ who tell others not to commit adultery, do yoʋ commit adultery? Yoʋ who abhor idols, do yoʋ rob temples?
Gị onye na-asị mmadụ akwala iko, ị na-akwa iko? Gị onye na-akpọ arụsị ihe arụ, ị na-ezuru ihe dị nʼụlọ arụsị nʼohi?
23 Yoʋ who boast in the law, do yoʋ dishonor God by transgressing the law?
Gị onye na-anya isi na ị maara iwu, ị na-emenye Chineke ihere site nʼimebi iwu ahụ?
24 As it is written, “The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.”
Dịka esi dee ya, “Ndị mba ọzọ na-ekwulu aha Chineke nʼihi unu.”
25 Circumcision does indeed benefit yoʋ if yoʋ observe the law, but if yoʋ transgress the law, yoʋr circumcision has become uncircumcision.
Obibi ugwu bara uru nʼezie ma ọ bụrụ na ị na-edebe iwu, ma ọ bụrụ na ị na-emebi iwu, obibi ugwu gị dịka mgbe i bighị ugwu.
26 If then an uncircumcised man keeps the ordinances of the law, will not his uncircumcision be regarded as circumcision?
Ọ bụrụ na ndị e bighị ugwu na-edebe ihe iwu kwuru, ọ bụ na a gaghị agụ ebighị ugwu ha dịka obibi ugwu?
27 Then he who is physically uncircumcised and carries out the law will judge yoʋ who, despite having the letter of the law and circumcision, transgress the law.
Ya bụ, ndị ahụ a na-ebighị ugwu nʼanụ ahụ ma na-edebe iwu ga-ama unu ikpe, bụ ndị nwere iwu ahụ e dere nʼakwụkwọ na ndị e bikwara ugwu ma na-emebi iwu.
28 For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, neither is circumcision something outward in the flesh;
Ị bụ ezigbo onye Juu abụghị nke elu ahụ. Ezigbo ibi ugwu abụkwaghị ihe a na-ahụ nʼanụ ahụ.
29 but he is a Jew who is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter. Such a man's praise comes not from men but from God.
