Romans 12
1 I urge you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to God, your reasonable religious service.
Kanaafuu yaa obboloota, akka isin dhagna keessan aarsaa jiraataa, qulqullaaʼaa fi kan Waaqa gammachiisu gootanii dhiʼeessitaniif ani gara laafina Waaqaatiin isin kadhadha; kunis waaqeffannaa keessan kan hafuuraa ti.
2 Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may determine what is the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God. (aiōn g165)
Fedhiin Waaqaa gaariin, gammachiisaanii fi kan mudaa hin qabne maal akka taʼe qorattanii akka mirkaneessuu dandeessaniif haaromfamuu qalbii keessaniitiin geeddaramaa malee addunyaa kana hin fakkaatinaa. (aiōn g165)
3 For by the grace given to me I tell everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think, but to think sensibly, in accordance with the measure of faith that God has distributed to each one of you.
Ani ayyaana naa kennameen tokkoo tokkoo keessan nan gorsaatii: Akka madaalii amantii kan Waaqni isinii kenne sanaatti qalbeeffannaadhaan waaʼee ofii keessanii yaadaa malee hamma yaaduu qabdanii olitti hin yaadinaa.
4 For just as in one body we have many members, and all the members do not have the same function,
Akkuma dhagni keenya kutaa baayʼee qabu, akkuma kutaawwan kunneenis hojii wal fakkaatu hin qabaatin sana
5 so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.
akkasuma immoo nu warri baayʼee taane Kiristoosiin dhagna tokkoo dha; tokkoon tokkoon kutaa dhagnaa kan walii isaanii ti.
6 We have different gifts according to the grace given to us. If someone's gift is prophecy, he should prophesy in proportion to his faith;
Nu akkuma ayyaana nuu kennameetti kennaa garaa garaa qabna. Yoo kennaan nama tokkoo raajii dubbachuu taʼe, inni akkuma amantii isaatitti haa dubbatu.
7 if it is service, he should serve; if it is teaching, he should teach;
Yoo tajaajiluu taʼe, haa tajaajilu; yoo barsiisuu taʼe, haa barsiisu;
8 if it is exhortation, he should exhort; if it is giving, he should do so generously; if it is leadership, he should do so diligently; if it is showing mercy, he should do so cheerfully.
yoo jajjabeessuu taʼe, haa jajjabeessu; yoo warra rakkataniif kennuu taʼe, arjummaadhaan haa kennu; yoo bulchuu taʼe, jabaatee haa bulchu; yoo maaruu taʼe, gammachuun haa maaru.
9 Love must be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good.
Jaalalli keessan itti fakkeessuudhaan hin taʼin. Waan hamaa jibbaa; waan gaariitti maxxanaa.
10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Take the lead in honoring one another.
Jaalala obbolummaatiin jabeessaa wal jaalladhaa. Ulfina walii kennuutti wal dorgomaa.
11 Do not lack diligence in zeal, but be fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.
Gooftaa tajaajiluu keessatti hafuura gubaa qabaadhaa malee hinaaffaa hin dhabinaa.
12 Rejoice in hope, persevere in tribulation, and persist in prayer.
Abdiidhaan gammadaa; dhiphina obsaa; kadhannaatti cimaa.
13 Contribute to the needs of the saints, and pursue hospitality.
Qulqulloota rakkataniif waa gumaachaa. Keessummoota simadhaa.
14 Bless those who persecute you; bless, and do not curse.
Warra isin ariʼatan eebbisaa; eebbisaa malee hin abaarinaa.
15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.
Warra gammadan wajjin gammadaa; warra booʼan wajjin booʼaa.
16 Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation.
Walii galteedhaan wajjin jiraadhaa. Warra jireenya gad aanaa jiraatan wajjin jiraadhaa malee hin koorinaa. Of hin tuulinaa.
17 Repay no one evil for evil, but have regard for what is right in the sight of all.
Nama kamiif iyyuu hammina hamminaan hin deebisinaa. Nama hunda duratti waan gaarii hojjedhaa.
18 If possible, as far as it depends on you, be at peace with everyone.
Yoo dandaʼame, gama keessaniin nama hunda wajjin nagaan jiraadhaa.
19 Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says the Lord.”
Yaa jaallatamtoota, dheekkamsa Waaqaatiif iddoo kennaa malee haaloo hin baʼinaa; Gooftaan, “Haaloo baasuun kan koo ti; ani gatii nan deebisa” jedha, jedhamee barreeffameeraatii.
20 Therefore, “if yoʋr enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by doing so, yoʋ will heap coals of fire on his head.”
Garuu, “Yoo diinni kee beelaʼe, beela baasi; yoo inni dheebotes, waan inni dhugu kenniif. Kana gochuu keetiin barbadaa ibiddaa mataa isaa irra tuulta.”
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Gaarummaan hammina moʼi malee hamminaan hin moʼamin.
