< Revelation 10 >
1 Then I saw a mighty angel coming down from heaven, wrapped in a cloud, with a rainbow over his head; his face was like the sun, and his legs were like pillars of fire.
Ningĩ ngĩcooka ngĩona mũraika ũngĩ warĩ na hinya mũno agĩikũrũka oimĩte igũrũ. Nake ehumbĩte itu ta nguo, na igũrũ rĩa mũtwe wake haarĩ na mũkũnga-mbura; naguo ũthiũ wake wahaanaga ta riũa, namo magũrũ make maahaanaga ta itugĩ cia mwaki.
2 In his hand he held an open scroll. He placed his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land,
Nake aanyiitĩte na guoko gwake kabuku kanini ga gĩkũnjo karĩ kahingũre. Aakinyithĩtie kũgũrũ gwake kwa ũrĩo iria-inĩ, nakuo kwa ũmotho agagũkinyithia thĩ nyũmũ,
3 and cried out with a loud voice, like a lion roaring. When he cried out, the seven thunders sounded their voices.
akĩgũthũka na mũgambo mũnene ta wa mũrũũthi ũkĩrarama. Hĩndĩ ĩrĩa aagũthũkire-rĩ, mĩgambo ya ngwa iria mũgwanja ĩkĩgamba.
4 And when the seven thunders spoke, I was about to write. But I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Seal up what the seven thunders have said, and do not write it down.”
Na rĩrĩa ngwa icio mũgwanja ciagambire, ndaarĩ hakuhĩ kwandĩka; no ngĩigua mũgambo kuuma igũrũ ũkiuga atĩrĩ, “Mohoro macio maario nĩ ngwa icio mũgwanja-rĩ, maige marĩ hitho, ndũkamaandĩke.”
5 Then the angel I had seen standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven
Nake mũraika ũcio ndonete arũgamĩte iria-inĩ na akarũgama thĩ nyũmũ agĩtambũrũkia guoko gwake kwa ũrĩo na igũrũ.
6 and swore by him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and everything in it, the earth and everything in it, and the sea and everything in it, and said that there would no longer be delay, (aiōn )
Nake akĩĩhĩta na ũrĩa ũtũũraga muoyo nginya tene na tene, o we ũrĩa wombire igũrũ na indo ciothe iria irĩ kuo, na akĩũmba thĩ na indo ciothe iria irĩ kuo, o na akĩũmba iria na indo ciothe iria irĩ thĩinĩ warĩo, akiuga atĩrĩ, “Hatirĩ na ihinda rĩngĩ rĩa gweterera!” (aiōn )
7 but that in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God would be completed, according to the good news he announced to his servants the prophets.
No matukũ-inĩ marĩa mũraika wa mũgwanja agaakorwo akiriĩ kũhuha karumbeta gake-rĩ, hitho ya Ngai nĩĩkahingio, o ta ũrĩa eerire anabii arĩa ndungata ciake.
8 Then the voice I had heard from heaven spoke to me again, saying, “Go take the little scroll that is open in the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the land.”
Ningĩ mũgambo ũrĩa ndaiguĩte uumĩte igũrũ ũkĩnjarĩria rĩngĩ, ũkĩnjĩĩra atĩrĩ: “Thiĩ, woe kabuku kau ga gĩkũnjo karĩa kahingũre kuuma guoko-inĩ kwa mũraika ũcio ũrũgamĩte akinyĩte iria, na agakinya thĩ nyũmũ.”
9 So I went over to the angel and asked him to give me the little scroll. And he said to me, “Take the scroll and eat it. It will make yoʋr stomach bitter, but in yoʋr mouth it will be as sweet as honey.”
Nĩ ũndũ ũcio, ngĩthiĩ kũrĩ mũraika, na ngĩmũũria aahe kabuku kau ga gĩkũnjo. Nake akĩnjĩĩra atĩrĩ, “Koe, ũkarĩe. Gaakinya nda nĩgegũkũrũrĩra, no karĩ kanua gegũkorwo karĩ na mũrĩo ta ũũkĩ!”
10 So I took the scroll from the angel's hand and ate it. In my mouth it was as sweet as honey, but when I had eaten it, my stomach turned bitter.
Ngĩkĩoya kabuku kau ga gĩkũnjo kuuma guoko-inĩ kwa mũraika ũcio, na niĩ ngĩkarĩa. Karĩ kanua kaarĩ na mũrĩo ta ũũkĩ, no ndarĩĩkia gũkarĩa, gakĩndũrĩra.
11 Then I was told, “Yoʋ must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, tongues, and kings.”
Ngĩcooka ngĩĩrwo atĩrĩ, “No nginya ũrathe ũhoro rĩngĩ ũkoniĩ andũ aingĩ, na ndũrĩrĩ nyingĩ, na thiomi nyingĩ, o na athamaki aingĩ.”
