< Matthew 8 >
1 When Jesus came down from the mountain, large crowds followed him.
Ọtụtụ mmadụ sooro Jisọs mgbe o si nʼugwu ahụ rịdata.

Mgbe ha na-aga nʼụzọ, otu onye ekpenta bịakwutere ya kpọọ isiala nye ya, rịọ ya sị, “Onyenwe m, ọ bụrụ na ị chọrọ, ị pụrụ ime ka m dị ọcha.”
3 So Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be made clean.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
O setịpụrụ aka ya, metụ ya sị, “Achọrọ m ka ị dị ọcha, dịrịkwa ọcha!” Ngwangwa, ekpenta ahụ lara.
4 Then Jesus said to him, “Be sure not to tell anyone about this, but go show yoʋrself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”
Jisọs nyere nwoke ahụ iwu sị ya, “Hụ na ịgwaghị onye ọbụla, kama gaa gosi onye nchụaja onwe gị, chụọkwa aja onyinye dịka Mosis, nyere nʼiwu, ka ọ bụrụ ihe ama nye ya.”
5 When Jesus entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him and pleaded with him,

7 Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.”
Jisọs sịrị ya, “Ọ bụ m bịa gwọọ ya?”
8 But the centurion replied, “Lord, I am not worthy to have yoʋ enter under my roof, but just say the word, and my servant will be healed.
Ma onye ọchịagha ahụ zara ya sị, “Onyenwe m, ekwesighị m ka ị bata nʼokpuru ụlọ m. Naanị nọdụ nʼebe a, kwuo okwu, ahụ ga-adịkwa onye na-ejere m ozi ike.
9 For I too am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
Nʼihi na mụ onwe m bụkwa onye nọ nʼokpuru ikike ọchịchị, nwee ndị agha nọ nʼokpuru m. Ana m asị onye nke a, ‘gaa.’ Ọ gaa, sịkwa onye nke ọzọ, ‘bịa.’ Ọ bịa. Ana m asị ohu m, ‘mee nke a.’ Ọ na-emekwa ya.”
10 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those who were following him, “Truly I say to you, not even in Israel have I found such great faith.
Mgbe Jisọs nụrụ okwu a, o juru ya anya nke ukwuu. Ọ gwara igwe mmadụ ahụ so ya okwu sị, “Nʼezie, ahụbeghị m okwukwe dị otu a ebe ọbụla; ọ bụladị nʼIzrel niile.

13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go; it will be done for you just as yoʋ have believed.” And his servant was healed in that hour.

17 This was to fulfill what had been spoken by the prophet Isaiah: “He took our infirmities and bore our diseases.”
Nke a bụ imezu amụma ahụ Aịzaya buru sị, “O bupụrụ nrịa nrịa anyị niile, burukwa ọrịa anyị niile.”
18 When Jesus saw the large crowds around him, he gave orders to depart to the other side of the sea.

19 Then a scribe came up and said to him, “Teacher, I will follow yoʋ wherever yoʋ go.”
Nʼoge ahụ, otu onye nʼetiti ndị na-ezi iwu bịakwutere ya sị ya, “Onye nkuzi, aga m eso gị gaa ebe ọbụla ị na-aga.”
20 Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes, and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.”
Jisọs zara, sị, “Nkịta ọhịa nwere ọnụ ebe ha na-edina. Ụmụ nnụnụ nke igwe nwekwara akwụ; ma Nwa nke Mmadụ enweghị ebe obibi.”
21 Then another of his disciples said to him, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.”
Otu onye ọzọ nʼime ndị na-eso ụzọ ya sịrị ya, “Onyenwe m, aga m eso gị, kama kwere ka m buru ụzọ gaa lie nna m.”
22 But Jesus said to him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”
Ma Jisọs zara sị ya, “Soro m ugbu a. Hapụ ndị nwụrụ anwụ ka ha lie ndị nwụrụ anwụ ibe ha.”
23 Then he got into the boat, and his disciples followed him.
Mgbe ọ banyere nʼụgbọ, ndị na-eso ụzọ ya sooro ya.
24 And behold, a great storm arose on the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by the waves. But Jesus was asleep.

Ndị na-eso ụzọ ya jekwuuru ya, kpọtee ya, sị ya, “Onyenwe anyị, zọpụta anyị! Lee, na anyị nʼala nʼiyi.”
26 But he said to them, “Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?” Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.
Ma ọ zaghachiri, “Unu ndị okwukwe nta, gịnị mere ụjọ ji na-atụ unu?” Mgbe ahụ o biliri baara ifufe ahụ na ebili mmiri ahụ mba. Ha niile dajụrụ, deere jii.
27 And the men were amazed, saying, “What kind of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him?”
O juru ndị na-eso ụzọ ya anya, mee ka ha jụọ ajụjụ sị, “Ọ bụ ụdị mmadụ dị aṅaa ka nwoke a bụ? Ọ bụladị ifufe na ebili mmiri na-eme ihe o kwuru.”
28 When Jesus came to the other side of the sea, to the region of the Gergesenes, he was met by two demon-possessed men who had come out of the tombs. They were so fierce that no one could pass by that way.
Mgbe o rutere nʼofe nke ọzọ nke obodo Gadarin, mmadụ abụọ ndị mmụọ ọjọọ si nʼebe a na-eli ozu zutere ya. Ha na-akpa ike nke ukwuu, na ọ dịkwaghị onye na-esite nʼụzọ ahụ agafe nʼihi ha.

Ngwangwa, ha tiri mkpu bido na-ajụ ajụjụ sị, “Gịnị ka anyị na gị nwekọrọ, gị Ọkpara Chineke? Ị gaghị echekwa eche ka oge ruo tupu ibido ịta anyị ahụhụ?”
30 Now at a distance from them there was a herd of many pigs feeding.
Igwe ezi nọ nʼakụkụ ebe ahụ na-akpa nri.
31 So the demons begged Jesus, “If yoʋ cast us out, let us go into the herd of pigs.”
Mmụọ ọjọọ ndị a rịọrọ ya arịrịọ sị, “Ọ bụrụ na ị chụpụ anyị, biko, hapụ anyị ka anyị banye nʼime ezi ndị a.”
32 He said to them, “Go.” So they came out and went into the herd of pigs, and behold, the whole herd of pigs rushed down the steep bank into the sea and died in the water.
Ọ nyere ha iwu sị ha, “Ngwa, gaanụ!” Ha sitere nʼime mmadụ abụọ ahụ pụta banye nʼime igwe ezi ahụ. Otu mgbe ahụ kwa, ezi ndị ahụ niile gbaara ọsọ site na mkputamkpu ala ọnụ mmiri ahụ dabanyechaa nʼime mmiri ahụ. Ha nwụkwara nʼime ya.
