Matthew 28
1 After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene came to see the tomb along with the other Mary.
ശബ്ബത്തിനുശേഷം, ആഴ്ചയുടെ ആദ്യദിവസം ആരംഭത്തിൽ മഗ്ദലക്കാരി മറിയയും മറ്റേ മറിയയും കല്ലറ കാണാൻ പോയി.
2 And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled away the stone from the entrance and sat on it.
അപ്പോൾ, കർത്താവിന്റെ ഒരു ദൂതൻ സ്വർഗത്തിൽനിന്ന് ഇറങ്ങിവന്നതിനാൽ അതിശക്തമായ ഒരു ഭൂകമ്പം ഉണ്ടായി. ദൈവദൂതൻ വന്ന് ആ വലിയ കല്ല് ഉരുട്ടിമാറ്റി അതിന്മേൽ ഇരുന്നു.
3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing was as white as snow.
ആ ദൂതൻ മിന്നൽപ്പിണരിനു സദൃശനും, വസ്ത്രം ഹിമംപോലെ വെണ്മയുള്ളതും ആയിരുന്നു.
4 The guards were so afraid of him that they trembled and became like dead men.
കാവൽക്കാർ ദൂതനെക്കണ്ട് ഭയന്നുവിറച്ച് മരിച്ചവരെപ്പോലെയായി.
5 Then the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who has been crucified.
ദൂതൻ സ്ത്രീകളോട്, “നിങ്ങൾ പരിഭ്രമിക്കേണ്ട, ക്രൂശിക്കപ്പെട്ട യേശുവിനെയാണ് നിങ്ങൾ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നത് എന്ന് എനിക്കറിയാം.
6 He is not here, for he is risen, just as he said. Come see the place where the Lord lay.
യേശു ഇവിടെ ഇല്ല! അവിടന്ന് പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നതുപോലെതന്നെ, അദ്ദേഹം ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റിരിക്കുന്നു! യേശുവിന്റെ മൃതദേഹം വെച്ചിരുന്ന സ്ഥലം വന്നു കാണുക.
7 Now go quickly and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead. And behold, he is going ahead of you to Galilee; there you will see him. Listen to what I have told you.”
നിങ്ങൾ പെട്ടെന്നുതന്നെ ചെന്ന്, ‘യേശു മരിച്ചവരിൽനിന്ന് ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റിരിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾക്കുമുമ്പേ ഗലീലയിലേക്കു പോകുന്നു. അവിടെ നിങ്ങൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ കാണും’ എന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ അറിയിക്കുക. ഇതാണ് എനിക്ക് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയാനുള്ളത്” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
8 So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples.
സ്ത്രീകൾ ഭയപരവശരായിരുന്നെങ്കിലും ദൂതൻ അറിയിച്ച വാർത്ത ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ അറിയിക്കാൻ അത്യധികം ആനന്ദത്തോടുകൂടി കല്ലറയുടെ അടുത്തുനിന്ന് വേഗം ഓടിപ്പോയി.
9 As they went on their way to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them and said, “Greetings!” So they came to him, took hold of his feet, and worshiped him.
അപ്പോൾത്തന്നെ യേശു അവർക്ക് അഭിമുഖമായി വന്ന്, “നിങ്ങൾക്കു വന്ദനം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവർ അടുത്തുചെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പാദങ്ങളിൽ മുറുകെപ്പിടിച്ച് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു.
10 Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid; go tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.”
അപ്പോൾ യേശു അവരോട്, “ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ട, നിങ്ങൾ പോയി എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരോട് ഗലീലയിലേക്കു പോകാൻ പറയുക. അവിടെ അവർ എന്നെ കാണും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
11 As they went, behold, some of the guards went into the city and brought word to the chief priests of all that had taken place.
ആ സ്ത്രീകൾ മടങ്ങിപ്പോകുന്നതിനിടയിൽ, സൈനികരിൽ ചിലർ നഗരത്തിൽ ചെന്ന് സംഭവിച്ചതെല്ലാം പുരോഹിതമുഖ്യന്മാരെ അറിയിച്ചു.
12 After the chief priests had assembled with the elders and taken counsel, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers
പുരോഹിതമുഖ്യന്മാർ സമുദായനേതാക്കന്മാരുമായി കൂടിയാലോചിച്ച് സൈനികർക്കു വലിയൊരു തുക കോഴയായി നൽകിയിട്ട്,
13 and said, “Tell people, ‘His disciples came by night and stole him away while we were sleeping.’
അവരോട്, “‘രാത്രിയിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ഉറങ്ങുമ്പോൾ, യേശുവിന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ വന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ മൃതദേഹം മോഷ്ടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോയി’ എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറയണം,
14 If this matter is heard before the governor, we will persuade him and keep you free from concern.”
ഈ വിവരം ഭരണാധികാരിയുടെ അടുത്തെത്തിയാൽ, ഞങ്ങൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തോട് സംസാരിച്ച് നിങ്ങൾക്ക് കുഴപ്പമൊന്നും ഉണ്ടാകാതെ നോക്കിക്കൊള്ളാം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
15 So they took the money and did as they had been instructed. And this story is still being spread among the Jews today.
അതനുസരിച്ച് സൈനികർ ആ പണം വാങ്ങി തങ്ങളോടു നിർദേശിച്ചതുപോലെതന്നെ ചെയ്തു. ഈ കഥ ഇന്നുവരെയും യെഹൂദരുടെ മധ്യേ പരക്കെ പ്രചരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
16 Meanwhile, the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had directed them to go.
ശിഷ്യന്മാർ പതിനൊന്നുപേരും ഗലീലയിലേക്ക്, യേശു തങ്ങളോടു പോകണമെന്നു കൽപ്പിച്ചിരുന്ന മലയിലേക്കുതന്നെ യാത്രതിരിച്ചു.
17 When they saw him, they worshiped him, but some doubted.
യേശുവിനെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ അവർ അവിടത്തെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു; ചിലരോ, സംശയിച്ചു.
18 Then Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
യേശു തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ അടുത്തേക്ക് വന്ന്, “സ്വർഗത്തിലും ഭൂമിയിലും സകല അധികാരവും എനിക്കു നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
19 Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
അതുകൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങൾ പോയി പിതാവിന്റെയും പുത്രന്റെയും പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിന്റെയും നാമത്തിൽ സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിച്ചും ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോട് കൽപ്പിച്ചതെല്ലാം അനുവർത്തിക്കാൻ അവരെ ഉപദേശിച്ചുംകൊണ്ട് സകലജനതയെയും എന്റെ ശിഷ്യരാക്കുക.
