Matthew 19
1 When Jesus had finished saying these things, he departed from Galilee and came into the region of Judea beyond the Jordan.
ಯೇಸು ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿ ಮುಗಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ, ಗಲಿಲಾಯದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಯೊರ್ದನ್ ನದಿಯ ಆಚೆಯ ಯೂದಾಯ ಪ್ರಾಂತಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು.
2 Large crowds followed him, and he healed them there.
ಜನರ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಮೂಹಗಳು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದವು, ಯೇಸು ಅವರನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಮಾಡಿದರು.
3 Then the Pharisees came up to Jesus and tested him by asking him, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason?”
ಫರಿಸಾಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, “ಒಬ್ಬ ಪುರುಷನು ಯಾವ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದಾದರೂ ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡುವುದು ಧರ್ಮಸಮ್ಮತವೋ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
4 He answered them, “Have you not read that he who made them from the beginning ‘made them male and female,’
ಯೇಸು ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಆದಿಯಿಂದಲೇ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಕರ್ತ, ‘ಅವರನ್ನು ಗಂಡು ಹೆಣ್ಣಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’?
ಈ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಪುರುಷನು ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು; ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಒಂದೇ ಶರೀರವಾಗಿರುವರು,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನು ನೀವು ಓದಲಿಲ್ಲವೇ?
6 So then, they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಇನ್ನು ಇಬ್ಬರಲ್ಲ, ಒಂದೇ ಶರೀರವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದಕಾರಣ ದೇವರು ಕೂಡಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು, ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಅಗಲಿಸಬಾರದು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
7 They said to him, “Why then did Moses command us to give her a certificate of divorce and send her away?”
ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ವಿವಾಹ ವಿಚ್ಛೇದನ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬಿಡಬಹುದೆಂದು ಮೋಶೆಯು ಏಕೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟನು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
8 He said to them, “Because of your hardness of heart Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so.
ಯೇಸು ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಮೋಶೆಯು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯ ಕಾಠಿಣ್ಯದ ದೆಸೆಯಿಂದ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಮಗೆ ಅನುಮತಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಆದರೆ ಆದಿಯಿಂದ ಅದು ಹಾಗೆ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
9 I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for fornication, and marries another, commits adultery. And whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.”
ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ಹಾದರದ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದಲ್ಲದೆ, ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬಳನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಯಾಗುವವನು ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ,” ಎಂದರು.
10 His disciples said to him, “If such is the case of a man with his wife, it is better not to marry.”
ಆಗ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ಸತಿಪತಿಯರ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಹೀಗಿರುವುದಾದರೆ, ಮದುವೆ ಆಗದಿರುವುದೇ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು,” ಎಂದರು.
11 But Jesus said to them, “Not all men can accept this statement, but only those to whom it is given.
ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಇದು ಅನುಮತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆಯೋ ಅವರೇ ಹೊರತು ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಈ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಲಾರರು.
12 For there are eunuchs who were born that way from their mother's womb, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Whoever is able to accept this should accept it.”
ತಮ್ಮ ತಾಯಿಯ ಗರ್ಭದಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದಾಗಲೇ ಕೆಲವರು ನಪುಂಸಕರಾದವರಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಕೆಲವರು ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಂದ ಮಾಡಲಾದ ನಪುಂಸಕರು ಇದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇನ್ನು ಕೆಲವರು ಪರಲೋಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಾವೇ ನಪುಂಸಕರಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡವರೂ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಬಲ್ಲವನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಲಿ,” ಎಂದರು.
13 Then little children were brought to Jesus so that he might lay his hands on them and pray, but the disciples rebuked those who brought them.
ಯೇಸು ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನಿಟ್ಟು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುವಂತೆ ಕೆಲವು ಜನರು ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಂದರು. ಆದರೆ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಿದರು.
14 Yet Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು, “ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರಲು ಬಿಡಿರಿ, ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಿಮಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ, ಪರಲೋಕ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಇಂಥವರದೇ,” ಎಂದರು.
15 And after laying his hands on them, he departed from there.
ತರುವಾಯ ಯೇಸು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮೇಲೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯಿಟ್ಟು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದರು.
16 And behold, a man came and said to him, “Good Teacher, what good thing must I do to have eternal life?” (aiōnios g166)
ಆಗ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಬಂದು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಬೋಧಕರೇ, ನಾನು ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾವ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು. (aiōnios g166)
17 Jesus said to him, “Why do yoʋ call me good? No one is good except God alone. But if yoʋ wish to enter life, keep the commandments.”
“ನೀನು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವುದೇಕೆ? ಒಬ್ಬಾತನೇ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವನು. ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ಜೀವದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಬೇಕಾದರೆ ದೇವರ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ ನಡೆದುಕೋ,” ಎಂದು ಯೇಸು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
18 The man said to him, “Which ones?” Jesus said, “Yoʋ shall not murder, Yoʋ shall not commit adultery, Yoʋ shall not steal, Yoʋ shall not give false testimony,
ಅವನು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ಅವು ಯಾವುವು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು, “ನರಹತ್ಯೆ ಮಾಡಬಾರದು, ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡಬಾರದು, ಕದಿಯಬಾರದು, ಸುಳ್ಳುಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಹೇಳಬಾರದು,
19 Honor yoʋr father and yoʋr mother, and, Yoʋ shall love yoʋr neighbor as yoʋrself.”
ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸಬೇಕು. ನಿನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನಂತೆಯೇ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಬೇಕು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
20 The young man said to him, “I have kept all these commandments from the time I was a young boy; what do I still lack?”
ಆ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥನು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ಇವೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ನಾನು ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಇನ್ನು ನನಗೇನು ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗಿದೆ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
21 Jesus said to him, “If yoʋ wish to be perfect, go sell what yoʋ have and give to the poor, and yoʋ will have treasure in heaven; then come follow me.”
ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣನಾಗಲು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರೆ, ಹೋಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾರಿ ಬಡವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡು; ನಿನಗೆ ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಪತ್ತಿರುವುದು. ನೀನು ಬಂದು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
22 But when the young man heard this, he went away sorrowful, for he had many possessions.
ಆದರೆ ಆ ಯುವಕನು ಯೇಸು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ, ದುಃಖದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದನು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬಹಳ ಆಸ್ತಿ ಇತ್ತು.
23 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I say to you, only with difficulty will a rich person enter the kingdom of heaven.
ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ತಮ್ಮ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ, “ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತನು ಪರಲೋಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವುದು ಕಷ್ಟ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
24 Again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.”
ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತನು ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಒಂಟೆಯು ಸೂಜಿಯ ಕಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನುಗ್ಗುವುದು ಸುಲಭ ಎಂದು ಪುನಃ ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ,” ಎಂದರು.
25 When his disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and said, “Who then can be saved?”
ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ವಿಸ್ಮಯಗೊಂಡು, “ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಯಾರು ರಕ್ಷಣೆಹೊಂದುವರು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
26 Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men it is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿ ನೋಡಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಇದು ಅಸಾಧ್ಯ; ಆದರೆ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಸಾಧ್ಯ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
27 Then Peter said to him in response, “Behold, we have left everything and followed yoʋ; what then will there be for us?”
ಪೇತ್ರನು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ಇಗೋ, ನಾವು ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ! ನಮಗೆ ಏನು ದೊರೆಯುವುದು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
28 Jesus said to them, “Truly I say to you, when all things are made new and the Son of Man sits on his throne of glory, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಸಮಸ್ತವೂ ನವೀಕರಣವಾಗುವಾಗ, ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನಾದ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಮಹಿಮೆಯ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡಿರಲು, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದವರಾದ ನೀವು ಸಹ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಸಿಂಹಾಸನಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡು, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಗೋತ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸುವಿರಿ.
29 And everyone who has left houses, brothers, sisters, father, mother, wife, children, or fields for my name's sake, will receive a hundred times more and will inherit eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಸಹೋದರರನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಸಹೋದರಿಯರನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ತಂದೆಯನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಹೊಲವನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ನೂರರಷ್ಟು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು ಮತ್ತು ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾಧ್ಯನಾಗುವನು. (aiōnios g166)
30 But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.
ಆದರೆ ಮೊದಲನೆಯವರಾದ ಅನೇಕರು ಕಡೆಯವರಾಗುವರು, ಕಡೆಯವರಾದವರು ಮೊದಲನೆಯವರಾಗುವರು.
