Mark 13
1 As Jesus was coming out from the temple courts, one of his disciples said to him, “Teacher, look! What wonderful stones and what wonderful buildings!”
ⲁ̅ⲁⲩⲱ`ⲉϥⲛⲏⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲣⲡⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲉⲟⲩⲁ ⲛⲁϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲥⲁϩ ⲁⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲛⲉⲓ̈ⲱⲛⲉ ϫⲉ ϩⲉⲛⲁϣ ⲛ̅ϩⲉ ⲛⲉ. ⲙⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲓ̈ⲕⲉⲕⲱⲧ
2 Jesus answered him, “Do yoʋ see these great buildings? Not one stone will be left upon another; all of them will be torn down.”
ⲃ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲅ̅ⲛⲁⲩ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲛⲉⲓ̈ⲛⲟϭ ⲛ̅ⲕⲱⲧ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲩⲕⲱ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲓ̈ⲙⲁ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲱⲛⲉ ⲉϫⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲱⲛⲉ ⲉⲙⲡⲟⲩⲃⲟⲗⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ.
3 Later, as Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, across from the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked him privately,
ⲅ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϥϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ϩⲓϫⲛ̅ⲡⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲛ̅ϫⲟⲉⲓⲧ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲣⲡⲉ. ⲁϥϫⲛⲟⲩϥ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲛⲙ̅ⲓ̈ⲁⲕⲱⲃⲟⲥ ⲛⲙ̅ⲓ̈ⲱϩⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ ⲙⲛ̅ⲁⲛⲇⲣⲉⲁⲥ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ
4 “Tell us, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that all these things are about to be fulfilled?”
ⲇ̅ϫⲉ ⲁϫⲓⲥ ⲛⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲛⲁⲓ̈ ⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲧⲛⲁⲩ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲙⲁⲉⲓⲛ ⲉⲣϣⲁⲛⲛⲁⲓ̈ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲛⲟⲩ ⲉϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ.
5 Jesus began to say to them in response, “Make sure no one leads you astray.
ⲉ̅ⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲁⲣⲭⲓ ⲛ̅ϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ϯϩⲧⲏⲧⲛ̅ ⲙⲏⲡⲱⲥ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲡⲗⲁⲛⲁ ⲙ̅ⲙⲱⲧⲛ̅
6 For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he,’ and will lead many astray.
ⲋ̅ⲟⲩⲛ̅ϩⲁϩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲁⲉⲓ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲁⲣⲁⲛ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲡⲗⲁⲛⲁ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ
7 When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed, for these things must take place, but the end is not yet.
ⲍ̅ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ϣⲁⲛⲥⲱⲧⲙ̅ ⲇⲉ ⲉϩⲉⲛⲡⲟⲗⲉⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲙ̅ϩⲉⲛϩⲣⲟⲩ ⲙ̅ⲡⲟⲗⲉⲙⲟⲥ ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ϣⲧⲟⲣⲧⲣ̅ ⲥⲉⲛⲁϫⲡⲓϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲙ̅ⲡⲁⲧⲉⲑⲁⲏ ⲛⲟⲩ ⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ.
8 For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, along with famines and riots. These are the beginning of the labor pains.
ⲏ̅ⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲉϫⲛ̅ⲟⲩϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲟ ⲉϫⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲟ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲛ̅ϩⲉⲛϩⲉⲃⲱⲱⲛ ⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ. ⲛⲁⲓ̈ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲁⲣⲭⲏ ⲧⲉ ⲛⲛ̅ⲛⲁⲁⲕⲉ.
9 “You must watch out for yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils, and you will be beaten in synagogues. For my sake you will even be set before governors and kings as witnesses to them.
ⲑ̅ⲛ̅ⲧⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲇⲉ ϯϩⲧⲏⲧⲛ̅ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ̅. ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲡⲁⲣⲁⲇⲓⲇⲟⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲙ̅ⲙⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲉⲛⲥⲩⲛϩⲉⲇⲣⲓⲟⲛ ⲛ̅ⲥⲉϩⲓⲟⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ̅ ϩⲛ̅ⲛ̅ⲥⲩⲛⲁⲅⲱⲅⲏ ⲛ̅ⲥⲉϫⲓⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅ ⲉⲛϩⲏⲅⲉⲙⲱⲛ ⲙⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲣⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲃⲏⲏⲧ ⲉⲩⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲣⲉ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲙⲛ̅ⲛ̅ⲕⲉϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ.
10 And the gospel must first be proclaimed to all nations.
ⲓ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲥⲉⲛⲁϫⲡⲓⲕⲏⲡⲩⲥⲥⲉ ⲛ̅ϣⲟⲣⲡ̅ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ
11 When they lead you away and hand you over, do not be anxious beforehand about what you should say. Do not give it much thought, but say whatever is given to you in that hour, for it will not be you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲩϣⲁⲛϫⲓⲧⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲉⲡⲁⲣⲁⲇⲓⲇⲟⲩ ⲙ̅ⲙⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ϥⲓⲣⲟⲟⲩϣ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲛⲁϫⲟⲟϥ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲡⲉⲧⲟⲩⲛⲁⲧⲁⲁϥ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲡⲣⲟ ϩⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲛⲁϫⲟⲟϥ ⲛ̅ⲧⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲉⲧϣⲁϫⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲡⲉⲡ̅ⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ.
12 Brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child, and children will rise up against their parents and have them put to death.
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲥⲟⲛ ⲛⲁⲡⲁⲣⲁⲇⲓⲇⲟⲩ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲥⲟⲛ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲡⲙⲟⲩ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲉⲓⲱⲧ ϥⲛⲁⲡⲁⲣⲁⲇⲓⲇⲟⲩ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛ̅ϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛⲁⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲉϫⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲩⲉ͡ⲓⲟⲧⲉ ⲛ̅ⲥⲉⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧⲟⲩ
13 You will be hated by all because of my name, but he who endures to the end will be saved.
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲙⲟⲥⲧⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲉⲧⲃⲉⲡⲁⲣⲁⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁϩⲩⲡⲟⲙⲓⲛⲉ ⲇⲉ ϣⲁⲃⲟⲗ ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲟⲩϫⲁⲉⲓ.
14 “When you see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing where it should not be” (let the reader understand), “then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ϣⲁⲛⲛⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲃⲟⲧⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡϣⲱϥ ⲉⲥⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧⲥ̅ ⲙ̅ⲡⲙⲁ ⲉⲧⲉⲛϣϣⲉ ⲁⲛ. ⲡⲉⲧⲱϣ ⲙⲁⲣⲉϥⲛⲟⲓ̈ ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲛⲉⲧϩⲛ̅ϯⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓⲁ ⲙⲁⲣⲟⲩⲡⲱⲧ ⲉⲛⲧⲟⲩⲓ̈ⲏ
15 He who is on the housetop must not come down into his house or go inside to get anything out of his house.
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲡⲉⲧϩⲓϫⲉⲛⲉⲡⲱⲣ ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ⲧⲣⲉϥⲉⲓ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ⲧⲣⲉϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉϥⲓⲗⲁⲁⲩ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉϥⲏⲉⲓ.
16 And he who is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲧϩⲛ̅ⲧⲥⲱϣⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ⲧⲣⲉϥⲕⲟⲧϥ̅ ⲉⲡⲁϩⲟⲩ ⲉϥⲓⲡⲉϥϩⲟⲓ̈ⲧⲉ.
17 Woe to those who are with child and to those who are nursing infants in those days!
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲟⲩⲟⲓ̈ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲉⲧ ⲙⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲧⲥⲛⲕⲟ ϩⲛ̅ⲛⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ.
18 Pray that your flight will not happen in winter.
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ϣⲗⲏⲗ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲛⲛⲉⲡⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲡⲱⲧ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲡⲣⲱ.
19 For those days will be a time of tribulation unlike any other from the beginning of God's creation until now, and it will never be equaled again.
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲥⲉⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲛⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲑⲗⲓⲯⲓⲥ ⲧⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲧⲉⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲥϭⲟⲧ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ϫⲓⲛⲧⲁⲣⲭⲏ ⲙ̅ⲡⲥⲱⲛⲧ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲥⲟⲛⲧϥ̅ ϣⲁϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲥϭⲟⲧ ⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ
20 If the Lord had not cut those days short, no flesh would be saved. But for the sake of the chosen, whom he has selected, he has cut those days short.
ⲕ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲛⲉⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲧⲥⲃ̅ⲕⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ̅ⲙⲛ̅ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛ̅ⲥⲁⲣⲝ̅ ⲛⲁⲱⲛϩ. ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉⲧⲃⲉⲛ̅ⲥⲱⲧⲡ̅ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁϥⲥⲟⲧⲡⲟⲩ ⲁϥⲧⲥⲃ̅ⲕⲉⲛⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ
21 If anyone says to you at that time, ‘Behold, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘Behold, there he is!’ do not believe him.
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲣϣⲁⲛⲗⲁⲁⲩ ϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲥⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲓ̈ⲙⲁ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲓⲥϩⲏⲏⲧⲉ ϥϩⲛ̅ⲡⲓⲙⲁ ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ
22 For false christs and false prophets will rise up and perform signs and wonders to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen.
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛ̅ϭⲓϩⲉⲛⲭⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲛ̅ⲛⲟⲩϫ. ⲛⲙ̅ϩⲉⲛⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲛ̅ⲛⲟⲩϫ. ⲛ̅ⲥⲉϯ ⲛ̅ϩⲉⲛⲙⲁⲓ̈ⲛ ⲛⲙ̅ϩⲉⲛϣⲡⲏⲣⲉ. ⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲩⲛ̅ϭⲟⲙʾ ⲉⲡⲗⲁⲛⲁ ⲛ̅ⲛ̅ⲥⲱⲧⲡ̅
23 So you must watch out! Behold, I have told you everything in advance.
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ⲛ̅ⲧⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲇⲉ ϯϩⲧⲏⲧⲛ̅ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲁⲓ̈ϣⲣⲡ̅ϫⲱ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲛ̅ϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲙ.
24 “But in those days, after that time of tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light.
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϩⲛ̅ⲛⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ ⲙⲛ̅ⲛ̅ⲥⲁⲧⲉⲑⲗⲓⲯⲓⲥ ⲉⲧⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ ⲡⲣⲏ ⲛⲁⲣⲉⲃⲏ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲟⲟϩ ⲛϥ̅ⲛⲁϯⲡⲉϥⲟⲩⲟⲓ̈ⲛ ⲁⲛ.
25 The stars of heaven will be falling, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken.
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̅ⲥⲓⲟⲩ ⲥⲉⲛⲁϩⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲧⲡⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̅ϭⲟⲙ ⲉⲧϩⲛ̅ⲙ̅ⲡⲏⲩⲉ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲛⲟⲓ̈ⲛ
26 Then people will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉϥⲛⲏⲩ ϩⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲕⲗⲟⲟⲗⲉ ⲛⲙ̅ⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲛ̅ϭⲟⲙ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲉⲟⲟⲩ.
27 And he will send his angels and gather together his chosen from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven.
ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ϥⲛⲁϫⲉⲩⲛⲉϥⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲛϥ̅ⲥⲱⲟⲩϩ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉϥⲥⲱⲧⲡ̅ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉϥⲧⲟⲩⲧⲏⲩ. ϫⲓⲛϫⲱϥ ⲙ̅ⲡⲕⲁϩ ϣⲁϫⲱⲥ ⲛ̅ⲧⲡⲉ.
28 “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its branches become tender and put out leaves, you know that summer is near.
ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧ̅ⲃⲱ ⲛ̅ⲕⲛ̅ⲧⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲉⲉ͡ⲓⲙⲉ ⲉⲧⲡⲁⲣⲁⲃⲟⲗⲏ. ⲉⲣϣⲁⲛⲡⲉⲥⲕⲗⲁⲇⲟⲥ ⲏⲇⲏ ⲗⲱⲕ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲛⲉⲥϭⲱⲃⲉ ϯⲟⲩⲱ ⲛ̅ϣⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲉ͡ⲓⲙⲉ ϫⲉ ⲁⲡϣⲱⲙ ϩⲱⲛ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ.
29 So also, when you see these things taking place, know that he is near, at the very gates.
ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ⲧⲁⲓ̈ ϩⲱⲧⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅ ⲧⲉ ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ϩⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ϣⲁⲛⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲛⲁⲓ̈ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲉⲩⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲛⲁⲓ̈ⲙⲉ ϫⲉ ⲁϥϩⲱⲛ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ϩⲓⲣⲛ̅ⲣ̅ⲣⲟ.
30 Truly I say to you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have taken place.
ⲗ̅ϩⲁⲙⲏⲛ ϯϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅ ϫⲉ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲓ̈ⲅⲉⲛⲉⲁ ⲗⲟ ⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ ϣⲁⲛⲧⲉⲛⲁⲓ̈ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ϣⲱⲡⲉ.
31 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will certainly not pass away.
ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ⲧⲡⲉ ⲛⲙ̅ⲡⲕⲁϩ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲗⲟ ⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲁϣⲁϫⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̅ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲗⲟ ⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ ⲁⲛ.
32 “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven or the Son, but only the Father.
ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ⲉⲧⲃⲉⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ ⲏ̑ ⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲙⲛ̅ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲛⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ϩⲛ̅ⲧⲡⲉ. ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛ̅ⲥⲁⲡⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩⲁⲁϥ.
33 Be on guard; stay alert and pray! For you do not know when the time is coming.

34 It is like a man away on a journey: When he leaves his house and gives authority to his servants, assigning to each one his task, he also commands the doorkeeper to keep watch.

35 Therefore keep watch, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming—in the evening, at midnight, when the rooster crows, or in the morning.

36 Otherwise, he may come suddenly and find you sleeping.
