Luke 18
1 Then Jesus told them a parable about the need to pray at all times and not lose heart.
౧తన శిష్యులు నిరుత్సాహపడకుండా ఎల్ల వేళలా ప్రార్థన చేస్తూ ఉండాలనడానికి ఆయన వారికి ఈ ఉపమానం చెప్పాడు.
2 He said, “In a certain city there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected man.
౨“ఒక పట్టణంలో ఒక న్యాయాధిపతి ఉన్నాడు. అతనికి దేవుడంటే భయం లేదు, మనుషులంటే లెక్కలేదు.
3 There was also a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, ‘Give me justice against my adversary.’
౩ఆ పట్టణంలో ఒక విధవరాలు కూడా ఉంది. ఆమె అతని దగ్గరికి తరచుగా వచ్చి ‘నా ప్రతివాదితో వివాదం విషయంలో నాకు న్యాయం చెయ్యి’ అని అడుగుతూ ఉండేది.
4 For a while he would not do so, but afterward he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God nor respect man,
౪అతడు ఆమెకు న్యాయం చేయడానికి చాలాకాలం వరకూ ఇష్టపడలేదు. కాని ఆ తరువాత ఇలా అనుకున్నాడు, ‘నేను దేవుడికి భయపడను, మనుషులనూ లెక్కచెయ్యను.
5 yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will give her justice, so that she will not wear me out by continually coming to me.’”
౫కానీ ఈ విధవరాలు నన్ను ఒకటే విసిగిస్తూ ఉంది. కాబట్టి ఆమె మాటిమాటికీ వచ్చి నన్ను సతాయించకుండా ఆమెకి న్యాయం జరిగిస్తాను’ అనుకున్నాడు.”
6 Then the Lord said, “Consider what this unrighteous judge said.
౬ఇంకా ప్రభువు ఇలా అన్నాడు, “అన్యాయస్తుడైన ఆ న్యాయాధిపతి చెప్పిన మాట విన్నారు కదా!
7 If even he ultimately rendered a just decision, will not God patiently listen to his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night, and give them justice?
౭తాను ఏర్పరచుకున్న వారు రాత్రింబగళ్ళు తనకు విజ్ఞాపనలు చేస్తూ ఉంటే దేవుడు వారికి న్యాయం తీర్చడా? వారి విషయమై ఆయన ఆలస్యం చేస్తాడా?
8 I tell you that he will bring about justice for them quickly. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”
౮ఆయన వారికి త్వరగానే న్యాయం జరిగిస్తాడు. అయినా మనుష్య కుమారుడు వచ్చినప్పుడు భూమి మీద విశ్వాసం అనేది ఆయనకు కనిపిస్తుందా?”
9 He also told this parable to some who were confident in their own righteous and regarded others with contempt:
౯తామే నీతిమంతులని, తమపైనే నమ్మకం పెట్టుకుని ఇతరులను చిన్న చూపు చూసే వారితో ఆయన ఒక ఉపమానం చెప్పాడు.
10 “Two men went up to the temple to pray. One was a Pharisee and the other was a tax collector.
౧౦“ఇద్దరు వ్యక్తులు ప్రార్థన చేయడానికి దేవాలయానికి వెళ్ళారు. వారిలో ఒకడు పరిసయ్యుడు. ఇంకొకడు పన్నులు వసూలు చేసే వాడు.
11 The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed like this: ‘God, I thank yoʋ that I am not like other people: swindlers, unrighteous, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.
౧౧పరిసయ్యుడు నిలబడి, ‘దేవా, నేను దొంగలూ, అన్యాయం చేసేవారూ, వ్యభిచారులూ అయిన ఇతరుల్లా కాకుండా, ఇంకా ఈ పన్నులు వసూలు చేసే వాడిలా కాకుండా ఉన్నందుకు నీకు కృతజ్ఞతలు చెప్పుకుంటున్నాను.
12 I fast twice a week, and I give tithes of all that I get.’
౧౨వారానికి రెండుసార్లు ఉపవాసం ఉంటున్నాను. నా సంపాదన అంతటిలో పదవ వంతు నీకిస్తున్నాను’ అంటూ తనలో తాను ప్రార్థన చేస్తూ ఉన్నాడు.
13 But the tax collector stood at a distance and would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’
౧౩అయితే పన్నులు వసూలు చేసేవాడు దూరంగా నిలబడ్డాడు. కళ్ళు పైకెత్తి చూడడానికి కూడా వాడికి ధైర్యం చాలలేదు. వాడు గుండెలు బాదుకుంటూ, ‘దేవా, నేను పాపిని. నన్ను కరుణించు’ అన్నాడు.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his home justified rather than the other one. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
౧౪పరిసయ్యుడి కంటే పన్నులు వసూలు చేసే వాణ్ణే దేవుడు నీతిమంతుడిగా ఎంచాడు. ఇతడు నిర్దోషిగా ఇంటికి తిరిగి వెళ్ళాడని మీతో చెబుతున్నాను. తనను తాను హెచ్చించుకొనే వాణ్ణి తగ్గించడం, తగ్గించుకొనే వాణ్ణి గొప్పచేయడం జరుగుతుంది.
15 Now people were even bringing their babies to Jesus so that he might touch them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked those who were bringing them,
౧౫తమ పసి పాపల మీద యేసు తన చేతులుంచాలని కొందరు వారిని ఆయన దగ్గరికి తీసుకువచ్చారు. ఆయన శిష్యులు అది చూసి ఆ తీసుకువచ్చిన వారిని అదిలించారు.
16 but Jesus called for them and said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
౧౬అయితే యేసు వారిని తన దగ్గరికి పిలిపించాడు. “పిల్లలను నా దగ్గరికి రానివ్వండి. వారిని ఆటంకపెట్టవద్దు. ఎందుకంటే దేవుని రాజ్యం ఇలాటి వారిదే.
17 Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will certainly not enter it.”
౧౭చిన్న పిల్లల్లాగా దేవుని రాజ్యాన్ని స్వీకరించని వాడు దానిలో ఎంత మాత్రమూ ప్రవేశించడని మీతో కచ్చితంగా చెబుతున్నాను” అన్నాడు.
18 Then a certain ruler asked him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” (aiōnios g166)
౧౮ఒక అధికారి ఆయనను చూసి, “మంచి ఉపదేశకా, నిత్య జీవానికి వారసుణ్ణి కావాలంటే నేనేం చేయాలి?” అని అడిగాడు. (aiōnios g166)
19 Jesus said to him, “Why do yoʋ call me good? No one is good except God alone.
౧౯అందుకు యేసు, “నన్ను మంచివాడని ఎందుకంటున్నావు? దేవుడు తప్పించి ఇంకెవరూ మంచి వారు కారు.
20 Yoʋ know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery, Do not murder, Do not steal, Do not give false testimony, Honor yoʋr father and yoʋr mother.’”
౨౦వ్యభిచారం చేయవద్దు, హత్య చేయవద్దు, దొంగతనం చేయవద్దు, అబద్ధ సాక్ష్యం చెప్పవద్దు, నీ తండ్రినీ, తల్లినీ గౌరవించు అనే ఆజ్ఞలు నీకు తెలుసు కదా” అని అతనితో అన్నాడు.
21 The man said, “I have kept all these commandments from the time I was a young boy.”
౨౧దానికి జవాబుగా అతడు, “వీటిని చిన్నప్పటి నుండి పాటిస్తూనే ఉన్నాను” అన్నాడు.
22 When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “One thing yoʋ still lack: Sell everything yoʋ have and distribute the money to the poor, and yoʋ will have treasure in heaven; then come follow me.”
౨౨యేసు అతని మాట విని ఇలా అన్నాడు, “నీకు ఇంకా ఒక్కటి కొదువగా ఉంది. నీ ఆస్తులన్నీ అమ్మి నిరుపేదలకివ్వు. అప్పుడు పరలోకంలో నీకు సంపదలు కలుగుతాయి. ఆపైన నువ్వు వచ్చి నన్ను అనుసరించు” అన్నాడు.
23 But when the man heard this, he became very sorrowful, for he was extremely rich.
౨౩అయితే అతడు ఎంతో ధనవంతుడు కాబట్టి ఈ మాటలు విని చాలా విచారపడ్డాడు.
24 When Jesus saw that the man had become very sorrowful, he said, “How difficult it will be for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!
౨౪యేసు అతన్ని చూసి, “ఆస్తిపాస్తులున్న వారు దేవుని రాజ్యంలో ప్రవేశించడం ఎంతో కష్టం.
25 For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.”
౨౫ధనవంతుడు దేవుని రాజ్యంలో ప్రవేశించడం కంటే ఒక ఒంటె సూది రంధ్రం గుండా వెళ్ళడం తేలిక” అన్నాడు.
26 Those who heard this said, “Who then can be saved?”
౨౬ఇది విన్న వారు, “అలాగైతే ఎవరు రక్షణ పొందగలరు?” అని అడిగారు
27 Jesus said, “What is impossible with men is possible with God.”
౨౭అందుకు ఆయన, “మనుష్యులకు అసాధ్యమైనవి దేవునికి సాధ్యమే” అని చెప్పాడు.
28 Then Peter said, “Behold, we have left everything and followed yoʋ.”
౨౮అప్పుడు పేతురు ఇలా అన్నాడు, “చూడు, మేము అన్నీ వదులుకుని నిన్ను అనుసరించాం.”
29 Jesus said to them, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house, parents, brothers, wife, or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God,
౨౯అందుకు ఆయన, “దేవుని రాజ్యం కోసం ఎవరైనా తన ఇంటినైనా, భార్య నైనా, అన్నదమ్ములనైనా, తల్లిదండ్రులనైనా, పిల్లలనైనా వదులుకుంటే అతనికి,
31 Then Jesus took the twelve aside and said to them, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and everything written by the prophets about the Son of Man will be fulfilled.
౩౧ఆయన తన పన్నెండు మంది శిష్యులను ఓ పక్కకు పిలిచి, “వినండి, మనం యెరూషలేము వెళ్తున్నాం. ప్రవక్తలు మనుష్య కుమారుణ్ణి గురించి రాసిన మాటలన్నీ జరుగుతాయి.
32 For he will be delivered up to the Gentiles, and he will be mocked, insulted, and spit upon.
౩౨ఆయనను యూదేతరులకు పట్టిస్తారు. వారేమో ఆయనను ఎగతాళి చేస్తారు, అవమానిస్తారు, ఆయన మీద ఉమ్మి వేస్తారు.
33 After flogging him, they will kill him, and on the third day he will rise again.”
౩౩ఆయనను కొరడాలతో కొడతారు, చంపివేస్తారు. కానీ మూడవ రోజున ఆయన తిరిగి లేస్తాడు” అని చెప్పాడు.
34 But the disciples did not understand any of these things; this statement was hidden from them, and they did not comprehend what was being said.
౩౪వారికి ఈ మాటల్లో ఒక్కటి కూడా అర్థం కాలేదు. ఈ సంగతి వారికి మర్మంగా ఉంది. కాబట్టి ఆయన చెప్పిన సంగతులు వారికి అంతు బట్టలేదు.
35 As Jesus drew near to Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the road begging.
౩౫ఆయన యెరికో పట్టణం సమీపానికి వచ్చినప్పుడు దారి పక్కనే ఒక గుడ్డివాడు కూర్చుని అడుక్కుంటూ ఉన్నాడు.
36 When he heard a crowd going by, he asked what was happening.
౩౬పెద్ద సంఖ్యలో జనం వెళ్తున్నట్టు అతడు పసిగట్టి, “ఏం జరుగుతోంది?” అని అడిగాడు.
37 They told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.
౩౭నజరేతు వాడైన యేసు వెళ్తున్నాడని వారు అతనికి చెప్పారు.
38 So he cried out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
౩౮అప్పుడు వాడు, “యేసూ, దావీదు కుమారా, నన్ను కరుణించు” అని కేకలు వేయడం మొదలు పెట్టాడు.
39 Then those who were out in front rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
౩౯ముందు నడుస్తున్నవారు, “నోరు మూసుకో” అని గద్దించారు. కానీ వాడు, “యేసూ, దావీదు కుమారా, నన్ను కరుణించు” అని మరింత బిగ్గరగా కేకలు వేశాడు.
40 So Jesus stopped and ordered the man to be brought to him. When the man drew near, Jesus asked him,
౪౦అప్పుడు యేసు నిలబడి, వాణ్ణి తన దగ్గరికి తీసుకురమ్మన్నాడు.
41 “What do yoʋ want me to do for yoʋ?” He said, “Lord, I want to receive my sight.”
౪౧వాడు దగ్గరికి వచ్చినప్పుడు ఆయన, “నీ కోసం నేనేంచేయాలని కోరుతున్నావు?” అని అడిగాడు. దానికి వాడు, “ప్రభూ, నాకు చూపు కావాలి” అన్నాడు.
42 So Jesus said to him, “Receive yoʋr sight; yoʋr faith has healed yoʋ.”
౪౨దానికి యేసు, “చూపు పొందు, నీ విశ్వాసం నిన్ను బాగు చేసింది” అని వాడితో చెప్పాడు.
43 Immediately he received his sight and began following Jesus, glorifying God. And when all the people saw it, they gave praise to God.
౪౩వెంటనే వాడు చూపు పొందాడు. దేవుణ్ణి కీర్తిస్తూ యేసు వెనకాలే వెళ్ళాడు. ప్రజలంతా ఇది చూసి దేవుణ్ణి స్తుతించారు.
