< Luke 16 >

1 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “There was a rich man whose steward was accused of squandering his possessions.
A Yeshu gubhaalugulilenje bhaajiganywa bhabho, “Ashinkupagwa tajili jumo na nyapala jwakwe. Tajili jula ashinkulugulilwa, kuti nyapala jwabho anatapanya indu yabho.
2 So he called the steward in and said to him, ‘What is this I hear about yoʋ? Give an account of yoʋr stewardship, for yoʋ can no longer be steward.’
Tajili jula gwanshemile, nikummuya, ‘Indu yashi yako ugwe ingupilikanai? Utende malonda ga indu yangu yuposhele na yulile, pabha ukaapinjikwa kubha nyapala kabhili.’
3 The steward said to himself, ‘What should I do, since my master is taking my stewardship away from me? I am not strong enough to dig, and I am ashamed to beg.
Nyapala jula gwaganishiye, ‘Bhakulungwa bhangu bhanaminga liengo lya unyapala, shindende bhuli? Nangali mashili ga lima, pita juga ngunakola oni.
4 I know what I will do so that when I am removed from my stewardship people will receive me into their homes.’
Elo, nishimanyi sha tenda nkupinga pushimingwe liengopo, bhandunji bhanjemelanje kunngwabhonji.’”
5 So he summoned each one of his master's debtors. He said to the first, ‘How much do yoʋ owe my master?’
“Bhai, gwabhashemilenje jumo jumo, bhakwetenje magambo bhowe kubhakulungwa bhakwe, gwammushiye jwa ntai jula, ‘Yukulongwa na bhakulungwa ilingwa?’
6 The man said, ‘A hundred measures of oil.’ The steward said to him, ‘Take yoʋr bill, sit down quickly, and write fifty.’
Jwalakwe gwajangwile, ‘Nndobho 180 ya mauta ga sheituni.’ Nyapala jula gwannugulile, ‘Tola shipande sha ligambo lyako, shangu ujandishe nndobho makumi tisha.’
7 Then he said to another, ‘And how much do yoʋ owe?’ The man said, ‘A hundred measures of wheat.’ The steward said to him, ‘Take yoʋr bill and write eighty.’
Na gwammushiye akwete ligambo jwa bhili, ‘Ugwe ulongwa nndi?’ Jwalakwe gwajangwile, ‘Magunia 1,000 ga ngano.’ Nyapala jula gwannugulile, ‘Tola shipande sha ligambo lyako, shangu ujandishe magunia mia nane.’”
8 So the master commended the unrighteous steward because he had acted shrewdly. For the sons of this age are more shrewd in dealing with their own generation than are the sons of light. (aiōn g165)
Bhai tajili jula gwannumbilile nyapala jula, kwa penya kwakwe. Pabha bhandunji bha pa shilambolyo pano bhanapenyanga pubhatendanga indu na ashaajabhonji, kupunda bhandunji bha Upalume gwa a Nnungu. (aiōn g165)
9 And I tell you, make friends for yourselves by means of unrighteous wealth so that when you die, they will receive you into the eternal dwellings. (aiōnios g166)
Na bhalabho a Yeshu gubhapundile kubheleketa, “Na nne ngunakummalanjilanga, mpanganje mbwiga na bhandunji kwa mali ga pa shilambolyo, nkupinga gamalaga, mposhelwanje kundamo ja pitipiti. (aiōnios g166)
10 “He who is faithful with very little is also faithful with much, and he who is dishonest with very little is also dishonest with much.
Jojowe shakulupalilwe kwa indu yaishoko, shakulupalilwe nkali kwa indu yaikulungwa, na jojowe akaakulupalika kwa indu yaishoko, akaakulupalika nkali kwa indu yaikulungwa.
11 If then you have not been faithful with unrighteous wealth, who will entrust you with true riches?
Bhai ibhaga, mmanganya nkakulupalikanje kwa mali ga pa shilambolyo, gani shampanganje mali ga kweli?
12 And if you have not been faithful with the property of another, who will give you property of your own?
Na nkakulupalikanje kwa mali gaka mundu juna, gani shankamuyanje mali genunji mwaashayene?
13 No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.”
“Jwakwapi ntumishi akombola kwaatumishilanga bhakulungwanji bhabhili, pabha shanshime jumo nikumpinga junajo, eu shanng'ishimiye jumo na junajo nikunnyegaya. Nkakombolanga kwaatumishila a Nnungu pamo na mali.”
14 Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, heard all these things and began ridiculing Jesus.
Ashimapalishayo bhalinginji bhaapinganga mmbiya, bhakapilikananjeje genego, gubhaeshilenje nkwaanyegaya.
15 So he said to them, “You justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.
A Yeshu gubhaalugulilenje, “Mmanganya nnakwitendanga nkwetenje aki pa bhandu, ikabheje a Nnungu bhajimanyi mitima jenunji, pabha shene shibhoneka sha mmbone kubhandu, a Nnungu pubhakushibhona sha bhiyabhiya.
16 “The Law and the Prophets were until John; since then the good news of the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone tries to force his way into it.
“Shalia na ashinkulondola, yaapali mpaka malanga ga a Yowana Bhabhatisha. Kutandubhila penepo, ngani ja mmbone ja Upalume gwa a Nnungu jinalunguywa, na kila mundu anakwiijinjiya kwa mashili.
17 But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one stroke of a letter to be dropped from the law.
Ikabheje ikakola ukomu kunnungu na shilambolyo kupita, kupunda nkali shipande shishoko sha Shalia kushoywa.
18 “Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery, and everyone who marries a woman divorced from her husband commits adultery.
“Jojowe akunneka nkagwe nilomba juna, analabhalabha, na jojowe ankunnomba jwankongwe aleshilwe, analabhalabha.”
19 “Now there was a certain rich man who would dress in purple and fine linen, enjoying himself each day as he lived lavishly.
Ashinkupagwa mundu jumo tajili, awalaga nngubho ya mmbiya yaigwinji ya langi ja shambalau na ya kitani ja takata, alipoka mobha gowe.
20 There was also a poor man named Lazarus, who was laid at his gate, covered with sores.
Na pannango gwakwe atendaga tama nkulaga jumo, lina lyakwe Lashalo, akwete ilonda shiilu showe.
21 He longed to be filled with the crumbs that fell from the rich man's table, but instead the dogs would come and lick his sores.
Lashalo atendaga lokolila malepei gaagwaga pa mesha jika tajili jula, nkali mbwa yatendaga kwiya kunnambanga ilonda yakwe!
22 Now the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham's side, and the rich man also died and was buried.
Bhai nkulaga jula akuwaga, ashimalaika bha kunnungu gubhantolilenje, nikwenda kummika pubhaliji a Bhulaimu. Na tajili na jwalakwe gwawile, nishikwa.
23 As he was in torment in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off, and Lazarus at his side. (Hadēs g86)
Tajili jula ali mmboteko ya punda kundamo ja bhawilenje, gwajinwile meyo, gwabhabhweni a Bhulaimu kwataliya bhali nagwe Lashalo, (Hadēs g86)
24 So he called out and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in agony in this flame.’
Bhai, gwabhashemile kwa utiya, “Ambuje a Bhulaimu, mmonele shiya, muntume Lashalojo kapela shikowe ashubhishe mmashi, andolishiye nnulimi lwangu, pabha ngunapotekwa kwa kaje pamoto pano.”
25 But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in yoʋr lifetime yoʋ received yoʋr good things, and in the same way Lazarus received bad things, but now he is here being comforted, while yoʋ are in agony.
26 And besides all this, a great chasm is fixed between you and us, so that those who want to cross over to you from here cannot do so, nor can anyone cross over to us from there.’
Kupunda genego, pakatipakati jetu uwe na mmanganya, lishibhikwa liimbo likulungwa, nkupinga bhapinganga kwiya kunngwenunji kukoposhela akuno bhanakombolanje, na bhapinganga kwiya kwetu uwe kukoposhela kweneko bhanakombolanje.”
27 He said, ‘Then I beg yoʋ, father, to send Lazarus to my father's house,
Tajili jula gwashite, “Bhai ambuje a Bhulaimu, shonde bhai muntume Lashalo ajende kulikaja lya atati,
28 for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they too will not come to this place of torment.’
pabha njikola ashapwanga nng'ano, akaalungushiyanje nkupinga bhanaikangane kumboteko kuno.”
29 Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; they can listen to them.’
Ikabheje a Bhulaimu gubhajangwile, “Ashapwako bhakwetenje a Musha na ashinkulondola, bhaapilikalanje bhanganyabho.”
30 He said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’
Ikabheje na jwalakwe gwashite kabhili, “Nngabha nneyo ambuje a Bhulaimu, ikabhe mundu ayukaga nikwaajendelanga, shibhaipetanje.”
31 But Abraham said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.’”
Na bhalabho a Bhulaimu gubhajangwile, “Ibhaga bhakaapilikanilanje a Musha na ashinkulondola bha a Nnungu, bhakakundanga nkali mundu akayushile.”
