Luke 11
1 One day Jesus was praying in a certain place, and when he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”
उहाँले प्रार्थना गरिसक्नुपछि उहाँका चेलाहरूमध्ये एक जनाले भने, “प्रभु, हामीलाई प्रार्थना गर्न सिकाउनुहोस् जसरी यूहन्नाले आफ्नो चेलालाई सिकाएका थिए ।”
2 So he said to them, “When you pray, say, ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be yoʋr name. Yoʋr kingdom come. Yoʋr will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
येशूले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “जब तिमीहरूले प्रार्थना गर्छौ, यसो भन्नू, ‘हे पिता, तपाईंको नाउँ पवित्र गरियोस् । तपाईंको राज्य आओस् ।
3 Give us each day our daily bread.
हामीलाई हाम्रो प्रत्येक दिनको रोटी दिनुहोस् ।
4 And forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.’”
हाम्रा पापहरू क्षमा गर्नुहोस, जसरी हामीले हाम्रा ऋणीहरूलाई क्षमा गरेका छौँ । हामीलाई परीक्षामा नडोर्याउनुहोस् ।’
5 Then he said to them, “Suppose one of you has a friend, and yoʋ go to him at midnight and say to him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves,
येशूले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “तिम्रो यस्तो मित्र होला जसले मध्य-रातमा गएर तिमीलाई भन्नेछ ‘हे मित्र, मलाई तिनवटा रोटी सापट दिनुहोस् ।
6 for a friend on a journey has come to me, and I have nothing to set before him,’
मेरा एउटा मित्र घुम्दै गर्दा मकहाँ आइपुग्नुभयो र उहाँलाई दिनका लागि मसित केही पनि छैन ।’
7 and he answers from inside and says, ‘Do not bother me! The door is already shut, and my children are with me in bed. I cannot get up to give yoʋ anything.’
त्यसपछि भित्रबाट यस्तो उत्तर आउन सक्छ, ‘मलाई दिक्क नबनाउनुहोस् । ढोका पहिले नै लगाइसकिएको छ, मेरा नानीहरू मसँगै ओछ्यानमा सुतिराखेका छन् । त्यसैले, म उठेर तपाईंलाई रोटी दिन सक्दिनँ ।’
8 I tell you, even if he will not get up and give yoʋ anything because yoʋ are his friend, yet because of yoʋr shameless persistence, he will get up and give yoʋ as much as yoʋ need.
म तिमीलाई भन्दछु, कि उसले उठेर तिमीलाई रोटी नदिए तापनि तिमी उनको मित्र भएकोले गर्दा र लगातार मागिरहेको कारणले ऊ उठ्नेछ र तिमीलाई आवश्यक पर्ने रोटीहरू दिनेछ ।
9 So I tell you: Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you.
म तिमीलाई भन्दछु, “माग, र तिमीलाई यो दिइनेछ; खोज, र तिमीले भेट्टाउनेछौ; ढकढक्याऊ, र तिम्रो लागि यो उघारिनेछ ।
10 For everyone who asks receives; and he who seeks finds; and for him who knocks, the door will be opened.
माग्ने हरेकले यो पाउनेछ; र खोज्ने व्यक्तिले भेट्टाउनेछ; र ढकढक्याउने व्यक्तिका लागि उघारिनेछ ।
11 Now what father among you, when his son asks for bread, will give him a stone; or again, when he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent instead of a fish;
तिमीहरूमध्ये को यस्तो बाबु होला जसले आफ्नो छोराले रोटी माग्दा ढुङ्गा देला अथवा माछा माग्दा सर्प देला र?
12 or again, if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?
अथवा उसले अन्डा माग्दा, तिमीले बिच्छी दिन्छौ र?
13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
त्यसैकारण, तिमीहरू दुष्ट भएर पनि आफ्ना नानीहरूलाई असल चिजहरू दिन जान्दछौ भने, तिमीहरूका स्वर्गका पिताले उहाँसँग माग्नेहरूलाई झन् कति प्रशस्त गरेर पवित्र आत्मा दिनुहुनेछैन र?”
14 Now Jesus was casting out a demon that made a certain man mute. When the demon came out, the mute man began to speak, and the crowds were amazed.
त्यसपछि, येशूले बोल्न नसक्ने मानिसबाट भूतात्मा निकाल्नुभयो । जब भुतात्मा ऊबाट निस्क्यो र ऊ बोल्न थाल्यो । यो देखेर मानिसहरूको भिड छक्क पर्यो ।
15 But some of them said, “By Beelzebul, the ruler of demons, he casts out demons.”
त्यहाँ भएका केही मानिसहरूले आपसमा भने, “शैतानहरूको शासक बालजिबुलले भूतात्मालाई निकाल्यो ।”
16 Others were asking him for a sign from heaven, to test him.
तर कतिले उहाँलाई परीक्षा गर्नका लागि स्वर्गको कुनै एउटा चिह्न देखाउन भन्यो ।
17 Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and a house divided against itself falls.
तर येशूले तिनीहरूले के सोचिरहेका छन् भनी जान्नुभयो र भन्नुभयो, हरेक राज्य एक-अर्काको विरुद्धमा विभाजन गरिनेछ र घरहरू एक-आपसको विरुद्धमा खडा हुनेछ ।
18 So if Satan is also divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? For you say that I cast out demons by Beelzebul.
यदि शैतानहरू एक आपसमा विभाजित हुन्छन् भने, कसरी तिनीहरूको राज्य रहन सक्दछ? तिमीहरूले भन्छौ, मैले बालजिबुलको नाउँमा भूतात्मालाई धपाउँछु ।
19 Now if I cast out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your followers cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges.
यदि मैले बालजिबुलको नाउँमा भूतहरूलाई धपाएँ भने, तिमीहरूका चेलाले कसको नाउँबाट धपाउलान् त? किनकि, तिनीहरू तिम्रो न्याय गर्नेहरू हुनेछन् ।
20 But if I cast out demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
तर यदि मैले परमेश्वरको हातबाट भूतहरू निकालेँ भने, परमेश्वरको राज्य तिमीहरूमा आएको छ ।
21 When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his possessions are secure.
जब कुनै बलियो मानिसले हातहतियारसहित आफ्नो घरको सुरक्षा गर्दछ भने, त्यसको कारणले गर्दा उसका सामानहरू सुरक्षित हुन्छन् ।
22 But when a stronger man attacks and overpowers him, he takes away all the armor in which the man trusted and then distributes the plunder.
तर कुनै अझ बलियो मानिसले उसलाई हराउँछ भने मानिसहरूका हातहतियारहरू कब्जा गर्दछन् र मानिसका धन सम्पत्तिहरू लुट्ने छन् ।
23 Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.
मसगँ नहुने, मेरो विरुद्धमा हुन्छ, र मसँगै जम्मा नगर्नेले छरपस्ट पार्छ ।
24 “When an unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it goes through waterless places seeking rest. But when it does not find any, it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’
जब अशुद्ध आत्मा मानिसबाट निस्केर गयो, यो पानी नभएको ठाउँ भएर गयो र यसले आरामको लागि ठाउँ खोजेको छ । त्यसले कुनै ठाउँ पनि बस्नका लागि पाएन र त्यसले भन्यो, म जहाँबाट आएको हुँ म त्यहीँ फर्कीजानेछु ।
25 When it arrives, it finds the house swept and put in order.
फर्की सकेपछि, त्यसले आफ्नो घर सफासँग व्यवस्थित पारेर राखिएको देख्यो ।
26 Then it goes and takes along seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they go and dwell there, and the last state of that person becomes worse than the first.”
त्यसपछि, ऊ जानेछ र अन्य सातवटा भूतात्मालाई पनि बोलाउनेछ र तिनीहरूसँगै बस्नेछ र त्यो मानिसको अवस्था अझ खराब हुनेछ ।
27 As Jesus was saying these things, a woman from among the crowd lifted up her voice and said to him, “Blessed is the womb that bore yoʋ, and the breasts at which yoʋ nursed.”
उहाँले यो कुरा भन्दै गर्नुहुँदा, एउटी स्त्रीले भिडबाट कराएर उहाँलाई भनी “त्यो कोख धन्यको हो जसले तपाईंलाई जन्माइन् र दूध चुसाइन् र हुर्काइन् ।”
28 But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”
तर उहाँले भन्नुभयो, “त्योभन्दा पनि, ती मानिसहरू धन्यका हुन् जसले परमेश्वरका वचन सुन्दछन् र त्यसलाई पालन गर्दछन् ।”
29 Now as the crowds were increasing, Jesus began to say, “This generation is evil. It asks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
जब अझ धेरै मानिसहरू जम्मा भए, उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “यो पुस्ता दुष्ट पुस्ता हो, यिनीहरूले चिह्न खोज्नेछन्, तर योनाको चिह्नबाहेक तिमीहरूलाई कुनै चिह्न दिइनेछैन ।
30 For just as Jonah became a sign to the people of Nineveh, so also will the Son of Man be to this generation.
जसरी निनवेका मानिसहरूका लागि योना चिह्न थिए, त्यसै गरी यो पुस्ताका लागि पनि मानिसका पुत्र चिह्न हुनेछ ।
31 The queen of the South will rise up at the judgment with the men of this generation and condemn them, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, something greater than Solomon is here.
दक्षिणकी रानी मानिसको विरुद्धमा दोष लगाउनका लागि उठ्नेछिन्, किनकि उनी पृथ्वीको पल्लो कुनाबाट सोलोमनको ज्ञानको बारेमा सुन्न आएकी थिइन् र हेर, सोलोमनभन्दा पनि महान् यहाँ हुनुहुन्छ ।
32 The men of Nineveh will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, something greater than Jonah is here.
निनवेका मानिसहरू यो पुस्ताका मानिसहरूसँगै न्यायमा उभिनेछन् र यिनीहरूलाई दोष लगाउनेछन् । तिनीहरूले योनाको प्रचार सुनेर पश्चात्ताप गरे र हेर, योनाभन्दा पनि महान् कोही यहाँ हुनुहुन्छ ।
33 “No one lights a lamp and puts it in a hidden place or under a basket. Instead, it is put on a lampstand, so that those who come in can see its light.
कसैले बत्ती बालेर टोकरीले छोपेर राख्दैन, तर त्यसलाई सामदानमा राख्दछ, ताकि त्यो भएर जाने हरेकलाई उज्जालो होस् ।
34 The lamp of the body is the eye. So when yoʋr eye is clear, yoʋr whole body is full of light. But when yoʋr eye is bad, yoʋr body is full of darkness.
तिम्रा आँखा तिम्रो शरीरको लागि ज्योति हो । तिम्रा आँखा असल छन् भने, तिम्रो पुरै शरीरले ज्योति पाउनेछ । तर तिम्रा आँखा खराब छन् भने, तिम्रो पुरै शरीरलाई अन्धकारले छोप्नेछ ।
35 Therefore make sure that the light within yoʋ is not darkness.
त्यसैकारण, होसियार रहो, कि तिमीमा भएको ज्योति अन्धकार नहोस् ।
36 If then yoʋr whole body is full of light, having no part dark, it will be entirely light, like when a lamp gives yoʋ light with its rays.”
यदि त्यसो भए, तिम्रो पुरै शरीर ज्योति हो, यसको कुनै पनि भाग अन्धकारमा रहेको छैन, त्यसपछि तिम्रो पुरै शरीर बत्तीको चमकजस्तै तिमीमा चम्कोस् ।
37 As Jesus was speaking, a Pharisee invited him to have a meal with him, so Jesus went in and reclined at the table.
उहाँले बोलिसक्नुभएपछि, फरिसीहरूले उहाँलाई आफ्नो घरमा खाना खानलाई बोलाए । त्यसपछि येशू जानुभयो र ढल्केर बस्नुभयो ।
38 The Pharisee was amazed when he saw that Jesus did not first perform the ritual washing before the meal.
खाना खानुभन्दा पहिले हात नधोएको कारणले गर्दा फरिसीहरू छक्क परे ।
39 So the Lord said to him, “You Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and the platter, but inside you are filled with thoughts of robbery and wickedness.
तर प्रभुले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “तिमी फरिसीहरू गिलास र कचौराको बाहिर सफा गर्दछौ, तर तिमीहरू भित्रपट्टि लोभ र खराब कुराले भरिएका छौ ।
40 You fools! Did not he who made the outside also make the inside?
हे मूर्ख मनिसहरू हो, जसले बाहिर बनायो के उसले भित्र पनि बनाउँदैन र?
41 But give as alms the things that are on the inside, and behold, everything will be clean for you.
तिमीभित्र जे छ, त्यो कुरा गरिबलाई देओ र त्यो कुरा तिम्रो निम्ति सबै शुद्ध हुनेछन् ।
42 “But woe to you, Pharisees! For you tithe mint, rue, and every herb, yet you ignore justice and the love of God. These you ought to have practiced without neglecting the other things.
धिक्कार तिमी फरिसीहरू, किनभने तिमीहरूले पुदिना, सुप र जडीबुटीको दशांश त दिन्छौ, तर परमेश्वरको प्रेम र धार्मिकतालाई बेवास्ता गर्छौ । तर तिमीहरूले परमेश्वरको प्रेम र धार्मिकताबमोजिम काम गर्नुपर्ने हो । यी काम गर्न असफल नहोओ ।
43 Woe to you, Pharisees! For you love the best seats in the synagogues and greetings in the marketplaces.
धिक्कार फरिसीहरू, तिमीहरूले सभाघरको अगाडि बस्ने मानिसहरूलाई सहरहरूमा आदर र इज्जत गर्दछौ ।
44 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like unmarked graves, which people walk over without realizing it.”
तिमीहरूलाई धिक्कार होस्, तिमीहरू चिह्न नलगाइएको चिहानजस्तै छौ । मानिसहरू केही थाहा नपाईकन हिँड्ने छन् ।”
45 In response one of the lawyers said to him, “Teacher, by saying these things, yoʋ insult us as well.”
अनि केही यहूदी व्यवस्थाका शिक्षकहरूले जवाफ दिँदै भने, “गुरु, तपाईं हामीलाई किन अपमान गर्नुहुन्छ ।”
46 But Jesus said, “Woe also to you lawyers! For you burden people with burdens that are hard to bear, but you yourselves do not touch the burdens with even one of your fingers.
येशूले भन्नुभयो, “तिमीहरूलाई धिक्कार व्यवस्थाका शिक्षकहरू, तिमीहरू मानिसहरूलाई व्यवस्थाको भार उठाउन लगाउँदछौ, तर तिमीहरूले आफ्नो एउटा औँलाले पनि त्यस्तो व्यवस्थाका सारा भारलाई उठाउँदैनौ ।
47 Woe to you! For you build the tombs of the prophets, but it was your fathers who killed them.
तिमीहरूलाई धिक्कार, किनभने तिमीहरूले अगमवक्ताहरूको चिहानको स्मरणको लागि निर्माण गर्यौ, तर तिनीहरूलाई मार्ने तिमीहरूकै पुर्खाहरू हुन् ।
48 So you bear witness to and approve of the works of your fathers; for they killed the prophets, and you build their tombs.
त्यसैले, तिमीहरूले तिम्रा पुर्खाहरूको काममा गवाही दियौ र सहमति जनायौ, किनकि वास्तवमा तिनीहरूले त्यस समयका अगमवक्ताहरूलाई मारेका थिए र जसको चिहान तिमीहरूले आज सम्झनाको लागि बनाएका छौ ।
49 That is why the wisdom of God said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and some of whom they will persecute.’
त्यसैकारणले गर्दा, परमेश्वरको विवेकले भन्दछ, “म तिमीहरूलाई अगमवक्ता र प्रेरितहरूकहाँ पठाउनेछु र तिमीहरूले तिनीहरूलाई सताउनेछन् र यीमध्ये कतिलाई मार्नेछन् ।
50 As a result, this generation will be held accountable for the blood of all the prophets that has been shed from the foundation of the world,
तब यो पुस्ताको लागि संसारको सुरुदेखि अगमवक्ताहरूको रगतमा तिमीहरू जिम्मेवार छौ ।
51 from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who perished between the altar and the house of God. Yes, I tell you, this generation will be held accountable.
म तिमीहरूलाई भन्दछु, कि हाबिलको रगतदेखि वेदी र पवित्र स्थानमा मारिएका जकरियाको रगतसम्मको दोष लागि यो पुस्ता जिम्मेवार छ ।
52 Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge. You yourselves have not entered, and you have hindered those who were trying to enter.”
यहूदी व्यवस्थाका शिक्षकहरू तिमीहरूलाई धिक्कार छ, किनभने तिमीहरूले बुद्धिको साँचोलाई तिमीहरूबाट टाढा लग्यौ । तिमीहरू आफैँ यो परिस्थिति भएर गएनौ र तिमीहरू तिनीहरूबाट लुक्यौ ।
53 As he was saying these things to them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to oppose him fiercely and to question him closely about many things,
येशू त्यहाँबाट गइसक्नुभएपछि, शास्त्रीहरू र फरिसीहरू एक-आपसमा धेरै कुराका लागि बहस गर्न लागे ।
54 lying in wait for him and seeking to catch him in some word coming out of his mouth, so that they might accuse him.
तिनीहरूले येशूलाई आफ्नो वचनको कारण परीक्षामा पार्ने कोसिस गरे ।
