< Hebrews 7 >
1 Now this Melchizedek was king of Salem and priest of God Most High. When Abraham was returning from the slaughter of the kings, Melchizedek met him and blessed him,
Ai itulikile iti uMelkizedeki, mutemi nua Salemu, Kuhani nu ang'wa Itunda nukoli migulya, nai utankanile nu Abrahamu waze usukile kupuma kuabulaga i atemi nu kumukendepa.
2 and Abraham gave him a tenth of all the spoils. His name means “king of righteousness,” but he is also “king of Salem,” which means, “king of peace.”
uAbrahamu ai uminkiiye king'wi ni ki kumi nika kila kintu nai watulaa wakihola. Lina nilakwe Melkizedeki” ndogoelyo akwe “mutemi nua tai ane” ga ni hangi “mutemi nua Salemu” naiza ingi “mutemi nua ulyuuku.”
3 He is without father, without mother, and without genealogy; there is no beginning to his days or end to his life. But resembling the Son of God, he remains a priest forever.
Mugila u tata, mugila nyinya, mugila aleli, mugila ng'wandyo nua luhiku ang'wi mpelo a likalo nulakwe. Badala akwe, ukusaga kuhani nua kali na kali, anga ng'wana wang'wa Itunda
4 Consider how great this man must be, that even Abraham the patriarch gave him a tenth of the spoils.
Itungili siga kinya iti muntu uyu nai watula mukulu. Muleli witu uAbrahamu ai uminkiiye king'wi ni ki ikumi nika intu ni iziza nai uihoile mu wikui.
5 Now the law commands the sons of Levi who receive the priestly office to collect tithes from the people, that is, their brothers, even though their brothers are also descended from Abraham.
Ni kulu kuulu, i ndugu ang'wa Lawi nai asingiiye i ofisi nia ki kuhani ai atuile ni lagiilyo kupuma mu malagiilyo kuhangulya king'wi mi ikumi kupuma ku antu, naiza ingi, kupuma ku aIsraeli auya, palung'wi ni kina i enso, ga, ingi ndugu kupuma kung'wa Abrahamu.
6 But Melchizedek, who was not among the descendants of Levi, received a tithe from Abraham. He also blessed Abraham, who had received the promises.
Kuiti uMelkizedeki, naiza shanga ai wa ndugu kupuma kung'wa Lawi, ai usingiiye king'wi ni kikumi kupuma kung'wa Abrahamu, nu kumukendepa, nuanso nai ukete ilago.
7 It is beyond all dispute that the inferior is blessed by the superior.
Pang'wanso shanga ihitilwe kina u muntu nu muniino wikendepwa nu Mukulu.
8 In the one case, tithes are received by mortal men, but in the other case, they are received by one who is attested to be living.
Ku ikani ili u muntu nuisingiilya king'wi ni ki kumi ukusha luhiku lung'wi, kuiti ku ikani lingiiza ung'wi nai usingiiye king'wi ni ki kumi kung'wa Abrahamu ikaganulwa anga nuikiie.
9 One might even say that Levi himself, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham.
Nu ku mpyani a kutambula, uLawi ai usingiiye king'wi ni ki kumi, ai usukiiye ga ni king'wi ni kikumi kung'wa Abrahamu,
10 For Levi was still in the loins of his ancestor Abraham when Melchizedek met him.
ku nsoko uLawi ai ukoli mu itundulu niang'wa Tata nuakwe uAbrahamu itungo uMelkizedeki nai uguganile nu Abrahamu.
11 Now if perfection had been attainable through the Levitical priesthood (for under this priesthood the people received the law), what further need would there have been for another priest to arise according to the order of Melchizedek rather than the order of Aaron?
Itungili anga ukondaniili ai uhumikile kukiila mu ukuhani nuang'wa Lawi, (itigwa pihi akwe antu isingiilya ilagiilyo), ai ikoli nsula ki ikilo kung'wa kuhani mungiiza kunyansuka ze yakilaa i ntendo ang'wa Melkizedeki, hangi shanga kitangwa ze yakilaa uzipiiligwa nuang'wa Haruni?
12 For when the priesthood is changed, the law must also be changed.
Ku lulo u ukuhani anga ukailike, kutili i nsoko ilagiilyo ni lyenso kukailika.
13 Now he of whom these things are spoken belongs to a different tribe, from which no one has ever served at the altar.
Kung'wa ung'wi naiza i makani aya ai atambuwe kutula ndugu ingiiza, kupuma kitalakwe kutili nai witumie pa kizindaalo.
14 For it is clear that our Lord arose from Judah, and in connection with that tribe Moses said nothing about priesthood.
Itungili ingi ng'walyi kina uMukulu nuitu ai upumiie mu uYuda, ndugu naiza uMusa shanga ai utee kutula akuhani.
15 Now this point becomes even more clear when there arises another priest like Melchizedek,
Hangi aya ni kuuligitya ingi kihenga lukulu anga itule u kuhani mungiiza wikapumila ku mpyani ang'wa Melkizedeki.
16 one who has become a priest, not through a legal requirement concerning physical descent, but through the power of an endless life.
uKuhani uyu nu mupya shanga ug'wi naiza watulaa kuhani migulya a kitako ni ka magiilyo na akigendi nu utuugwa nua antu, kuiti mu kitako nika ngulu nia likalo ni shanga luhumikile kugazika.
17 For God testifies, “Yoʋ are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.” (aiōn )
Iti gwa u ukilisigwa uku kuiila kutula nuanso; “Uewe ingi wi kuhani kali na kali ze yakilaa i ntendo ang'wa Melkizedeki.” (aiōn )
18 The former commandment is set aside because of its weakness and ineffectiveness
Ku nsoko ilagiilyo nai litongee ai liikilwe ku mpelo ku nsoko ai latulaa iementaalu hangi shanga lizipie.
19 (for the law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.
Iti gwa ilagiilyo shanga ai kintu ki kondaniie, Kwaala, ai ukoli ukamatiku uziza ku nuanso kuu muhumbeela Itunda.
20 And none of this happened without an oath. Aaron's descendants become priests without an oath,
Nu ukamatiku uwu nu uziza shanga ukupumila ze tile kuligitilya ilapo, ku ili i akuhani ni angiiza shanga ai ahoile ilapo lihi.
21 but Jesus was made a priest with an oath by the one who said to him, “The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind, ‘Yoʋ are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.’” (aiōn )
Kuiti Itunda ai uhoile ilapo itungo nai uligitilye kutula uYesu, “Mukulu ulapile hangi shanga ukukaila i masigo akwe,' u ewe ingi wi kuhani i kali na kali.” (aiōn )
22 Accordingly, Jesus has become the guarantor of a better covenant.
Ku ili ga nu Yesu uzile kutula wilihwa nu ilagiilyo nili bahu.
23 Now the former priests were many in number, because they were prevented by death from continuing in office;
Ku kulu kuulu, i nsha igilya i akuhani kuailyaa i kali na kali. Iyi ingi ku nsoko ai akoli i Akuhani idu, ung'wi ze kukilaa u muya.
24 but because Jesus continues forever, he has a permanent priesthood. (aiōn )
Kuiti ku nsoko uYesu wikii i kali na kali, u kuhani nuakwe shanga wikailika. (aiōn )
25 Therefore he is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.
Ku lulo ga nu ng'wenso uhumikile kutula ukondaniili ku kondaniilya kuaguniilya nia kumuhumbeela Itunda kukiila kitalakwe, ku nsoko nuanso wikiie itungo lihi wazelompa ku nsoko ao.
26 It was fitting for us to have such a high priest, one who is holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.
Ku lulo ukuhani nu mukulu nua mpyani iyi utakiwe kitaitu. Ni mugila u mulandu, igazo, ng'welu, nubaguwe kupuma ku anya milandu, hangi watulaa migulya kukila ilunde.
27 He has no need, like the other high priests, to offer up daily sacrifices, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. For he did this once for all when he offered up himself.
Nuanso ai mugila anga nsula, mpyani a akuhani ni akulu, kupumya ipolya kila luhiku, hanza ku mulandu nuakwe mukola, ni panyambele ku milandu a antu. Ai witumile iti nkua ing'wi ku ihi, nai wipumilye u ng'wenso mukola.
28 For the law appoints as high priests men who have weakness, but the word of the oath, which came after the law, appoints the Son, who has been made perfect forever. (aiōn )
Ku ilagiilyo wiaholaa antu nia nementaalu kutula akuhani ni akulu, kuiti lukani nu li lapo, nai luzile ze yakilaa ilagiilyo, ai umuhoile ung'wana, nai umuikile kutula mukaminkiilu i kali na kali. (aiōn )
