Hebrews 4

1 Therefore, while the promise of entering his rest remains open, let us proceed with fear so that none of you may be found to have fallen short of it.

۱ پس بترسیم مبادا با آنکه وعده دخول درآرامی وی باقی می‌باشد، ظاهر شود که احدی از شما قاصر شده باشد.

2 For we also have received good news just as they did. But the message they heard did not benefit them, since they were not united by faith with those who listened.

۲ زیرا که به ما نیز به مثال ایشان بشارت داده شد، لکن کلامی که شنیدند بدیشان نفع نبخشید، از اینرو که باشنوندگان به ایمان متحد نشدند.

3 For we who have believed enter that rest. As for the others, God has said, “As I swore in my wrath, ‘They will not enter my rest!’” Now God's works have been finished from the foundation of the world.

۳ زیرا ما که ایمان آوردیم، داخل آن آرامی می‌گردیم، چنانکه گفته است: «در خشم خود قسم خوردم که به آرامی من داخل نخواهند شد.» و حال آنکه اعمال او از آفرینش عالم به اتمام رسیده بود.

4 For in one place it speaks about the seventh day as follows: “On the seventh day God rested from all his works.”

۴ ودر مقامی درباره روز هفتم گفت که «در روز هفتم خدا از جمیع اعمال خود آرامی گرفت.»

5 But again, God says in the passage above: “They will not enter my rest!”

۵ و بازدر این مقام که «به آرامی من داخل نخواهند شد.»

6 Therefore, since God's rest remains open for some to enter, and those who formerly received good news did not enter because of their disobedience,

۶ پس چون باقی است که بعضی داخل آن بشوند و آنانی که پیش بشارت یافتند، به‌سبب نافرمانی داخل نشدند،

7 he again designates a certain day, calling it “Today,” as he says through David much later, in the passage already quoted, “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.”

۷ باز روزی معین می‌فرماید چونکه به زبان داود بعد از مدت مدیدی «امروز» گفت، چنانکه پیش مذکور شدکه «امروز اگر آواز او را بشنوید، دل خود راسخت مسازید.»

8 For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day.

۸ زیرا اگر یوشع ایشان را آرامی داده بود، بعد از آن دیگر را ذکر نمی کرد.

9 So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God.

۹ پس برای قوم خدا آرامی سبت باقی می‌ماند.

10 For anyone who has entered God's rest has rested from his own works, just as God rested from his.

۱۰ زیراهر‌که داخل آرامی او شد، او نیز از اعمال خودبیارامید، چنانکه خدا از اعمال خویش.

11 Therefore let us make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall into the same pattern of disobedience.

۱۱ پس جد و جهد بکنیم تا به آن آرامی داخل شویم، مبادا کسی در آن نافرمانی عبرت آمیز بیفتد.

12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the point of dividing soul from spirit, and joints from marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

۱۲ زیرا کلام خدا زنده و مقتدر و برنده تر است ازهر شمشیر دودم و فرورونده تا جدا کند نفس وروح و مفاصل و مغز را و ممیز افکار و نیتهای قلب است،

13 No creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give an account.

۱۳ و هیچ خلقت از نظر او مخفی نیست بلکه همه‌چیز در چشمان او که کار ما باوی است، برهنه و منکشف می‌باشد.

14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast to our confession.

۱۴ پس چون رئیس کهنه عظیمی داریم که ازآسمانها درگذشته است یعنی عیسی، پسر خدا، اعتراف خود را محکم بداریم.

15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are, yet was without sin.

۱۵ زیرا رئیس کهنه‌ای نداریم که نتواند همدرد ضعفهای مابشود، بلکه آزموده شده در هر چیز به مثال مابدون گناه.

16 Therefore let us draw near to the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

۱۶ پس با دلیری نزدیک به تخت فیض بیاییم تا رحمت بیابیم و فیضی را حاصل کنیم که در وقت ضرورت (ما را) اعانت کند.
