< Hebrews 3 >

1 Therefore, holy brothers, you who share in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus Christ, the apostle and high priest of our confession,
Kale abooluganda abatukuvu, Katonda b’ayise, mulowoozenga ku Yesu, Omutume Omukulu era Kabona Asinga Obukulu, gwe twatula.
2 who was faithful to the one who appointed him, just as Moses was faithful in all God's house.
Yali mwesigwa eri oyo eyamulonda, era nga Musa bwe yali omwesigwa mu nnyumba ya Katonda yonna.
3 Yet Jesus is considered worthy of more glory than Moses, just as the builder of a house has more honor than the house itself.
Kubanga ng’omuzimbi bw’aweebwa ekitiibwa okusinga ennyumba gy’azimbye, bw’atyo Yesu wa kitiibwa okusinga Musa.
4 For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.
Kubanga buli nnyumba wabaawo agizimba, naye Katonda ye y’azimba buli kintu.
5 Now Moses was faithful in all God's house as a servant, which provided testimony to what would be spoken later.
Musa yali muweereza mwesigwa mu nnyumba ya Katonda yonna, eyayogera eby’obunnabbi ku bintu ebyali bigenda okwogerwa mu biro eby’omu maaso.
6 But Christ is faithful over God's house as a Son. And we are his house if indeed we hold our confidence firm to the end along with the hope in which we boast.
Naye ate Kristo ye Mwana omwesigwa, akulira ennyumba ya Katonda; ate ffe tuli nnyumba y’oyo bwe tunywera ne tuba bavumu ne twenyumiririza mu ssuubi lye tunywezezza.
7 Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says, “Today, if you hear his voice,
Noolwekyo nga Mwoyo Mutukuvu bw’agamba nti, “Leero bwe munaawulira eddoboozi lye,
8 do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, on the day of testing in the wilderness,
temukakanyaza mitima gyammwe, nga bali bwe baajeema, ku lunaku lwe bagezesaako Katonda mu ddungu.
9 where your fathers tried me, tested me, and saw my works for forty years.
Bajjajjammwe bangezesa, ne balaba bye nakola mu myaka amakumi ana.
10 Therefore I was angry with that generation and said, ‘They always go astray in their hearts; they have not known my ways.’
Kyennava nsunguwalira omulembe ogwo, ne njogera nti bulijjo baba bakyamu mu mitima gyabwe, era tebamanyi makubo gange.
11 As I swore in my wrath, ‘They will not enter my rest!’”
Kyennava ndayira nga nsunguwadde nti, ‘Tebaliyingira mu kiwummulo kyange.’”
12 Brothers, make sure that none of you has an evil heart of unbelief that turns away from the living God.
Mwekuume abooluganda, omutima omubi ogw’obutakkiriza gulemenga kuba mu muntu yenna ku mmwe, ne gubaggya ku Katonda omulamu.
13 But encourage one another each day, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
Mubuuliraganenga mwekka na mwekka bulijjo ng’ekiseera kikyaliwo, waleme okubaawo n’omu ku mmwe akakanyazibwa obulimba bw’ekibi.
14 For we have become sharers in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end.
Olw’okubanga tussa kimu mu Kristo, tunywereze ddala obwesige bwaffe bwe twatandika nabwo, era tubunywereze ddala okutuusa ku nkomerero.
15 As it is said, “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”
Kyogerwako nti, “Leero bwe munaawulira eddoboozi lye temukakanyaza mitima gyammwe nga bwe mwakola bwe mwajeema.”
16 For some did rebel when they heard God's voice, but not all whom Moses led out of Egypt.
Be baani abaawulira, naye ne bajeema? Si abo bonna abaava mu Misiri ne Musa?
17 Now with whom was God angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?
Era baani be yanyiigira okumala emyaka amakumi ana? Si abo abaayonoona ne bafiira mu ddungu?
18 And to whom did God swear that they would not enter his rest, if not to those who were disobedient?
Era baani abo Katonda be yalayirira obutayingira mu kiwummulo kye? Si abo abataagonda?
19 So we see that it was because of their unbelief that they were not able to enter.
Era tulaba nga baalemwa okuyingira olw’obutakkiriza bwabwe.
