Acts 8
1 And Saul approved of his execution. On that day a great persecution arose against the church in Jerusalem, and all the believers except the apostles were scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria.

2 Devout men carried Stephen away for burial and made great lamentation over him.
| و مردان صالح استیفان را دفن کرده، برای وی ماتم عظیمی برپا داشتند. | ۲ |
3 But Saul was ravaging the church. Entering house after house, he dragged off both men and women and put them in prison.
| اما سولس کلیسا رامعذب می‌ساخت و خانه به خانه گشته، مردان وزنان را برکشیده، به زندان می‌افکند. | ۳ |
4 Now those who had been scattered went around preaching the message of good news.
| پس آنانی که متفرق شدند، به هر جایی که می‌رسیدند به کلام بشارت می‌دادند. | ۴ |
5 Philip went down to a city of Samaria and began proclaiming to them the Christ.
| اما فیلپس به بلدی از سامره درآمده، ایشان را به مسیح موعظه می‌نمود. | ۵ |
6 With one accord the crowds paid close attention to what Philip said as they listened to him and saw the signs he was performing.
| و مردم به یکدل به سخنان فیلپس گوش دادند، چون معجزاتی را که از اوصادر می‌گشت، می‌شنیدند و می‌دیدند، | ۶ |
7 For unclean spirits came out of many who had them, crying out with a loud voice, and many who were paralyzed or lame were healed.
| زیرا که ارواح پلید از بسیاری که داشتند نعره زده، بیرون می‌شدند ومفلوجان و لنگان بسیار شفا می‌یافتند. | ۷ |
8 And there was great joy in that city.
| و شادی عظیم در آن شهر روی نمود. | ۸ |
9 Now a man named Simon had previously practiced magic in the city and amazed the people of Samaria, declaring himself to be someone great.
| اما مردی شمعون نام قبل از آن در آن قریه بود که جادوگری می‌نمود و اهل سامره را متحیرمی ساخت و خود را شخصی بزرگ می‌نمود، | ۹ |
10 From the least to the greatest, they paid close attention to him, saying, “This man is the great power of God.”
| بحدی که خرد و بزرگ گوش داده، می‌گفتند: «این است قوت عظیم خدا.» | ۱۰ |
11 They all paid close attention to him because he had amazed them with his magical arts for a long time.
| و بدو گوش دادنداز آنرو که مدت مدیدی بود از جادوگری اومتحیر می‌شدند. | ۱۱ |
12 But when they believed Philip as he preached good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
| لیکن چون به بشارت فیلپس که به ملکوت خدا و نام عیسی مسیح می‌داد، ایمان آوردند، مردان و زنان تعمید یافتند. | ۱۲ |
13 Even Simon himself believed. After he was baptized, he kept close company with Philip and was amazed as he saw miracles and signs taking place.
| وشمعون نیز خود ایمان آورد و چون تعمید یافت همواره با فیلپس می‌بود و از دیدن آیات و قوات عظیمه که از او ظاهر می‌شد، در حیرت افتاد. | ۱۳ |
14 When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent them Peter and John.
| اما رسولان که در اورشلیم بودند، چون شنیدند که اهل سامره کلام خدا را پذیرفته‌اند، پطرس و یوحنا را نزد ایشان فرستادند. | ۱۴ |
15 These two went down and prayed for the Samaritan believers to receive the Holy Spirit,
| وایشان آمده، بجهت ایشان دعا کردند تاروح‌القدس را بیابند، | ۱۵ |
16 for the Spirit had not yet fallen upon any of them; they had only been baptized in the name of Christ Jesus.
| زیرا که هنوز بر هیچ‌کس از ایشان نازل نشده بود که به نام خداوند عیسی تعمید یافته بودند و بس. | ۱۶ |
17 Then Peter and John laid their hands on the Samaritan believers, and they received the Holy Spirit.
| پس دستها بر ایشان گذارده، روح‌القدس را یافتند. | ۱۷ |
18 When Simon saw that the Holy Spirit was given through the laying on of the apostles' hands, he offered them money,
| اما شمعون چون دید که محض گذاردن دستهای رسولان روح‌القدس عطا می‌شود، مبلغی پیش ایشان آورده، | ۱۸ |
19 saying, “Give this power to me as well, so that whomever I lay my hands on may receive the Holy Spirit.”
| گفت: «مرا نیز این قدرت دهید که به هرکس دست گذارم، روح‌القدس را بیابد.» | ۱۹ |
20 But Peter said to him, “May yoʋr silver be destroyed with yoʋ, because yoʋ thought yoʋ could acquire the gift of God with money!
| پطرس بدو گفت: «زرت با تو هلاک باد، چونکه پنداشتی که عطای خدا به زر حاصل می‌شود. | ۲۰ |
21 Yoʋ have no share or portion in this matter, for yoʋr heart is not right before God.
| تو را دراین امر، قسمت و بهره‌ای نیست زیرا که دلت درحضور خدا راست نمی باشد. | ۲۱ |
22 Therefore repent of this wickedness of yoʋrs, and plead with God in the hope that the intention of yoʋr heart might be forgiven yoʋ.
| پس از این شرارت خود توبه کن و از خدا درخواست کن تاشاید این فکر دلت آمرزیده شود، | ۲۲ |
23 For I see that yoʋ are bitterly envious and in bondage to unrighteousness.”
| زیرا که تو رامی بینم در زهره تلخ و قید شرارت گرفتاری.» | ۲۳ |
24 In response Simon said, “Pray to the Lord for me so that nothing you have said will happen to me.”
| شمعون در جواب گفت: «شما برای من به خداوند دعا کنید تا چیزی از آنچه گفتید بر من عارض نشود.» | ۲۴ |
25 After Peter and John had testified and spoken the word of the Lord, they returned to Jerusalem, preaching the good news in many villages of the Samaritans as they went.
| پس ارشاد نموده و به کلام خداوند تکلم کرده، به اورشلیم برگشتند و دربسیاری از بلدان اهل سامره بشارت دادند. | ۲۵ |
26 Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Rise and go toward the south, to the road that goes from Jerusalem down to Gaza.” (This is a desert road.)
| اما فرشته خداوند به فیلپس خطاب کرده، گفت: «برخیز و به‌جانب جنوب، به راهی که ازاورشلیم به سوی غزه می‌رود که صحراست، روانه شو.» | ۲۶ |
27 So he rose and went. And behold, there was an Ethiopian eunuch, a court official in charge of the entire treasury of Candace, the queen of the Ethiopians. This man had come to Jerusalem to worship
| پس برخاسته، روانه شد که ناگاه شخصی حبشی که خواجه‌سرا و مقتدر نزدکنداکه، ملکه حبش، و بر تمام خزانه او مختاربود، به اورشلیم بجهت عبادت آمده بود. | ۲۷ |
28 and was sitting in his chariot on his way back home, reading the prophet Isaiah.
| و درمراجعت بر ارابه خود نشسته، صحیفه اشعیای نبی را مطالعه می‌کند | ۲۸ |
29 The Spirit said to Philip, “Go over and join that chariot.”
| آنگاه روح به فیلپس گفت: «پیش برو و با آن ارابه همراه باش.» | ۲۹ |
30 So Philip ran up to it and heard the man reading the prophet Isaiah. He said, “Do yoʋ understand what yoʋ are reading?”
| فیلپس پیش دویده، شنید که اشعیای نبی رامطالعه می‌کند. گفت: «آیا می‌فهمی آنچه رامی خوانی؟» | ۳۰ |
31 The man said, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.
| گفت: «چگونه می‌توانم؟ مگرآنکه کسی مرا هدایت کند.» و از فیلپس خواهش نمود که سوار شده، با او بنشیند. | ۳۱ |
32 This is the passage of Scripture that he was reading: “Like a sheep he was led to slaughter, and like a lamb is silent before its shearer, so he did not open his mouth.
| و فقره‌ای ازکتاب که می‌خواند این بود که «مثل گوسفندی که به مذبح برند و چون بره‌ای خاموش نزد پشم برنده خود، همچنین دهان خود را نمی گشاید. | ۳۲ |
33 In his humiliation he was denied justice. Who will tell of his posterity? For his life was taken from the earth.”
| درفروتنی او انصاف از او منقطع شد و نسب او را که می‌تواند تقریر کرد؟ زیرا که حیات او از زمین برداشته می‌شود.» | ۳۳ |
34 The eunuch said to Philip, “I ask yoʋ, who does the prophet say this about? About himself, or about someone else?”
| پس خواجه‌سرا به فیلپس ملتفت شده، گفت: «از تو سوال می‌کنم که نبی این را درباره که می‌گوید؟ درباره خود یا درباره کسی دیگر؟» | ۳۴ |
35 Then Philip opened his mouth to speak, and beginning from this Scripture, he told him the good news about Jesus.
| آنگاه فیلپس زبان خود را گشود و ازآن نوشته شروع کرده، وی را به عیسی بشارت داد. | ۳۵ |
36 As they were going along the road, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “Behold, here is water! What prevents me from being baptized?”
| و چون در عرض راه به آبی رسیدند، خواجه گفت: «اینک آب است! از تعمید یافتنم چه چیز مانع می‌باشد؟» | ۳۶ |
| فیلپس گفت: «هر گاه به تمام دل ایمان آوردی، جایز است.» او درجواب گفت: «ایمان آوردم که عیسی مسیح پسرخداست.» | ۳۷ |
38 So he ordered the chariot to stop, and the two of them went down into the water, both Philip and the eunuch, and Philip baptized him.
| پس حکم کرد تا ارابه را نگاه دارندو فیلپس با خواجه‌سرا هر دو به آب فرود شدند. پس او را تعمید داد. | ۳۸ |
39 When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, and the eunuch saw him no more, but went on his way rejoicing.
| و چون از آب بالا آمدند، روح خداوند فیلپس را برداشته، خواجه‌سرا دیگراو را نیافت زیرا که راه خود را به خوشی پیش گرفت. | ۳۹ |
40 Philip, however, found himself at Azotus, and as he passed through that region, he preached the gospel in all the towns until he came to Caesarea.
| اما فیلپس در اشدود پیدا شد و در همه شهرها گشته بشارت می‌داد تا به قیصریه رسید. | ۴۰ |
