< Acts 20 >

1 After the uproar ceased, Paul summoned the disciples, said goodbye, and departed to go to Macedonia.
2 After going through those regions and encouraging the believers with many words, he came to Greece,
3 where he stayed for three months. As he was about to set sail for Syria, a plot was made against him by the Jews, so the decision was made to return by way of Macedonia.

4 Sopater of Berea accompanied him as far as Asia, and so did Aristarchus and Secundus of Thessalonica, Gaius of Derbe, Timothy, and Tychicus and Trophimus of Asia.
Che Sopatula mwana ju che Piho mundu jwa ku Belea ŵalongene ni che Paolo pamo ni che Alisitako ni che Sekundo jwa ku Sesalonike, che Gayo jwa ku Debe ni che Timoseo, che Tukiko ni che Tilofimo jwa ku Asia.
5 These men went on ahead and waited for us in Troas.
Ŵandu wo ŵatulongolele ni ŵaliji nkutulolela ku Tuloa kula.
6 But we sailed from Philippi after the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and five days later we came to them at Troas, where we stayed for seven days.
Pagapite moŵa ga mikate jangatajikwa amila, uweji twakwesile ngalaŵa kutyochela ku Filipi ni pagamasile moŵa nsano, twaiche ku Tuloa kula. Ni kweleko twatemi chijuma chimo.
7 On the first day of the week, as the disciples were gathered together to break bread, Paul addressed them, intending to depart the next day, and he prolonged his message until midnight.
Lyuŵa lyaandanda lya chijuma twachingangene kuti tulye pamo. Ni che Paolo pakuŵa ŵasachile kuti atyoche malaŵi jakwe, ŵakungulwiche ni ŵandu, ni sooni ŵajendelechele kukunguluka ni ŵandu wo mpaka chilo nnope.
8 Now there were many lamps in the upper room where we were gathered together,
9 and a young man named Eutychus, who was sitting on the window sill, sank into a deep sleep while Paul continued speaking for a long time. Overcome by sleep, he fell down from the third story and was picked up dead.
10 But Paul went down and threw himself on the young man. Taking him in his arms, he said, “Do not be alarmed, for his life is in him.”
Nambo che Paolo ŵatulwiche paasi ni ŵatindiŵele ni kwakumbata ni kuti, “Kasinlilanga pakuŵa ali jwanjumi.”
11 Then Paul went back upstairs, and after he had broken bread and eaten, he conversed with the disciples for a long time, until dawn; that was how he departed.
12 And they brought the boy home alive and were comforted beyond measure.
Ŵandu ŵala ŵanjigele nchanda jula kumangwao ali jwanjumi, nipele mitima jao jatulele.
13 Then we went to the ship and set sail for Assos, intending to take Paul on board there, for that is what he had arranged, since he himself intended to go by land.
Uweji twalongolele ku Aso ni ngalaŵa jekulungwa, kweleko twatiji twajigale che Paolo. Yeleyo ni yatite pakulajisya nnigwa wao kuti aiche kweleko wapasi.

Nipele che Paolo ŵatusimene ku Aso kula, ni twakwesile mu ngalaŵa ni twajawile ku Mitulene.
15 We set sail from there and arrived off Chios on the following day. The next day we reached Samos and stayed in Trogyllium, and the day after that we came to Miletus.
Kutyochela kweleko twajendelechele ni ulendo ni malaŵi jakwe twaiche ku Kio. Pa lyuŵa lyaaŵili twapelengenye ku Samo ni malaŵi jakwe twaiche ku Mileto.
16 For Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus so as not to spend time in Asia, because he was hurrying to arrive in Jerusalem, if possible, by the day of Pentecost.
17 From Miletus Paul sent to Ephesus and called for the elders of the church.
Che Paolo paŵaliji ku Mileto ŵalajisye utenga wa kwaŵilanga achachekulu ŵa mipingo ja ŵandu ŵakunkulupilila Kilisito ja ku Efeso kuti achingangane.
18 When they came to him, he said to them, “You yourselves know how I lived the whole time I was with you, from the day I first set foot in Asia,
Achachekulu ŵala paŵaiche, che Paolo ŵaasalile, “Mwachinsyene nkumanyililanga indite pakutama ni ŵanyamwe moŵa gose chitandile lyuŵa lyaandanda lila panaiche pachilambo cha ku Asia.
19 serving the Lord with all humility and with many tears and trials, which came upon me because of the plots of the Jews.
Nkumanyililanga indite pakwatumichila Ambuje nkulitulusya kose ni misosi ni masausyo gagambatile kwaligongo lya malindi ga Ŵayahudi ŵampepe.
20 You know that I did not hold back from declaring to you anything that was beneficial, and from teaching you in public and from house to house,
Nkumanyililanga kuti uneji nganinyogopa namose kanandi kunlalichila pelanga ni mmajumba genu ni kunjiganya chakunkamuchisya chachili chose.
21 testifying to both Jews and Greeks about repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus.

23 except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city that imprisonment and afflictions await me.
Nguchimanyilila chindu chimo kuti mmusi wauliwose Mbumu jwa Akunnungu akusalila kuti kutaŵikwa ni masausyo gakunindilila.
24 But I take no account of these things, nor do I regard my life as precious to myself, if only I may complete my course with joy and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
Nambo nganguuŵalanjila umi wangu kuti wana chindu nnope kwa uneji nningwa wangu malichisye unduna wangu ni masengo gaŵambele Ambuje Che Yesu nagapanganye, yaani naalalichile ŵandu Ngani Jambone ja upile wa Akunnungu.
25 “And now, behold, I know that none of you among whom I have gone about preaching the kingdom of God will see my face again.
“Mbiite mwa ŵanyamwe wose njilalichilaga Umwenye wa Akunnungu. Nambo sambano ngumanyilila kuti ngapagwa jwalijose mwa ŵanyamwe juchachimona une sooni.
26 Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of you all.
Nipele lelo jino ngunsalila kuti yakopochelaga jumo jwenu kujonasika, uneji nganingola magambo.
27 For I have not held back from declaring to you the whole counsel of God.
Pakuŵa nganileka kunlalichila yanayose yakusaka kuipanganya Akunnungu.
28 So keep watch over yourselves and over the entire flock. The Holy Spirit has appointed you as their overseers, to shepherd the church of our Lord and God, which he obtained with his own blood.
Nlilolechesye mwachinsyene, mwagose ŵandu wose ŵampele Mbumu jwa Akunnungu kuti mwalele ŵanyawo. Nkaachunje ŵandu ŵa Akunnungu ŵaŵapatile kwa miasi ja Mwanagwe.
29 For I know that after my departure fierce wolves will enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
30 Even from your own number men will rise up, speaking perverse things to draw the disciples away after them.
31 Therefore be watchful, remembering that, night and day, for three years I did not stop admonishing each one of you, with tears.
32 And now, brothers, I entrust you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all who are sanctified.
“Nipele sambano, ŵanyamwe ngummikanga mmakono ga Akunnungu ni pa utenga wa upile wao, waukukombola kunkolosya ni kumpa ntuuka pamo ni ŵandu ŵao ŵaŵaswejeswe.
33 I coveted no one's silver, gold, or clothing.
Uneji nganisaka madini ga feza pane sahabu pane iwalo ya mundu jwalijose.
34 You yourselves know that these hands of mine ministered to my own needs and to the needs of those who were with me.
Mwachinsyene nkumanyililanga kuti napanganisye masengo ni makono gangu nansyene kuti mbate yaikunsoŵa ni yaikwasoŵa achinjangu nombewo.
35 In all things I have shown you that we must labor in this way and help those who are weak, remembering what the Lord Jesus himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
Moŵa gose mbanganyisye masengo nti itagu kukwenu, kunnosya kuti tukusachilwa kwakamuchisya ŵakulaga, tuchikumbuchilaga maloŵe ga Ambuje Che Yesu nsyene gagakuti, ‘Mbaya kutyosya kupunda kupochela.’”
36 After saying these things, Paul knelt down and prayed with them all.
Che Paolo paŵamasile kuŵecheta yeleyo ŵatindiŵele pamo ni ŵanyawo wose ni kwapopela Akunnungu.
37 There was much weeping among them all, and they threw their arms around Paul's neck and kissed him,
Wose ŵaliji nkulilanga ni ŵaalanjile che Paolo kwakwakumbata ni kwalosya unonyelo wekulungwa.
38 being especially grieved over his statement that they would see his face no more. Then they accompanied him to the ship.
Chindu chichatesile asupuche nnope chaliji liloŵe liŵaŵechete che Paolo paŵatite, “Ngamuuwona sooni.” Nipele ŵaapechesye mpaka mu ngalaŵa jekulungwa.
