1 Thessalonians 1

1 Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

۱ پولس و سلوانس و تیموتاوس، به کلیسای تسالونیکیان که در خدای پدر وعیسی مسیح خداوند می‌باشید. فیض و سلامتی از جانب پدر ما خدا و عیسی مسیح خداوند با شما باد.

2 We always give thanks to God for you all, making mention of you in our prayers,

۲ پیوسته درباره جمیع شما خدا را شکرمی کنیم و دائم در دعاهای خود شما را ذکرمی نماییم،

3 remembering without ceasing, in the presence of our God and Father, your work of faith, your labor of love, and your endurance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

۳ چون اعمال ایمان شما و محنت محبت و صبر امید شما را در خداوند ما عیسی مسیح در حضور خدا و پدر خود یاد می‌کنیم.

4 For we know, brothers beloved by God, that you have been chosen,

۴ زیرا که‌ای برادران و‌ای عزیزان خدا، ازبرگزیده شدن شما مطلع هستیم،

5 because our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with much conviction. You know what sort of men we proved to be among you for your sake.

۵ زیرا که انجیل ما بر شما محض سخن وارد نشده، بلکه با قوت وروح‌القدس و یقین کامل، چنانکه می‌دانید که درمیان شما بخاطر شما چگونه مردمان شدیم.

6 And you became imitators of us and of the Lord when you received the word in much affliction with the joy of the Holy Spirit.

۶ وشما به ما و به خداوند اقتدا نمودید و کلام را درزحمت شدید، با خوشی روح‌القدس پذیرفتید،

7 As a result you have become examples to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia.

۷ به حدی که شما جمیع ایمانداران مکادونیه واخائیه را نمونه شدید،

8 For not only has the word of the Lord sounded forth from you in Macedonia and Achaia, but reports of your faith in God have gone out everywhere, so that we have no need to say anything about it.

۸ بنوعی که از شما کلام خداوند نه فقط در مکادونیه و اخائیه نواخته شد، بلکه در هرجا ایمان شما به خدا شیوع یافت، بقسمی که احتیاج نیست که ما چیزی بگوییم،

9 For the people themselves report what kind of reception we had among you, and how you turned away from idols to serve the living and true God,

۹ زیرا خود ایشان درباره ما خبر می‌دهند که چه قسم وارد به شما شدیم و به چه نوع شما از بتها به سوی خدا بازگشت کردید تا خدای حی حقیقی را بندگی نمایید،

10 as you wait for his Son Jesus to return from heaven, whom God raised from the dead, and who rescues us from the coming wrath.

۱۰ و تا پسر او را از آسمان انتظاربکشید که او را از مردگان برخیزانید، یعنی عیسی که ما را از غضب آینده می‌رهاند.
