1 Corinthians 10
1 Now I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea,

2 and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea,

3 and all ate the same spiritual food,

4 and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they were drinking from the spiritual rock that followed them, and that rock was Christ.

5 Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them, for their bodies were scattered in the wilderness.

6 Now these things happened as examples for us, so that we would not crave evil things as they did.

7 So do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.”

8 We must not commit fornication as some of them did, and in a single day twenty-three thousand of them died.

9 We must not put Christ to the test, as some of them did and were killed by serpents.

10 And do not grumble as some of them did and were killed by the destroyer.

11 Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written down for our instruction, upon whom the end of the ages has come. (aiōn g165)

12 Therefore whoever thinks he stands must be careful not to fall.
Sidaa daraaddeed kii u malaynaya inuu taagan yahay, ha iska eego inuusan dhicin.
13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to man. God is faithful; he will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear, but with the temptation he will also provide the way out so that you can endure it.
Jirrabaadna idinma qabsan tan dadka wada qabsata mooyaane, laakiin Ilaah waa aamin, mana oggolaan doono in laydin jirrabo intaad karaysaan in ka badan, laakiin markii laydin jirrabo wuxuu samayn doonaa jid aad kaga baxsataan si aad ugu adkaysan kartaan.
14 Therefore, my beloved friends, flee from idolatry.
Sidaa daraaddeed, gacaliyayaalow, sanamcaabudidda ka carara.
15 I am speaking as I would to sensible people; judge for yourselves what I am saying.
Waxaan idiinla hadlayaa sida dad caqli leh loola hadlo oo kale. Idinku qiyaasa waxaan leeyahay.
16 Is not the cup of blessing that we bless the communion of the blood of Christ? Is not the bread that we break the communion of the body of Christ?
Koobka barakada leh ee aynu u ducayno miyaanu ahayn islawadaagidda dhiigga Masiix? Kibistaynu jebinnaa, miyaanay ahayn islawadaagidda jidhka Masiix?
17 Because we, who are many, are one bread and one body; for we all partake of the one bread.
Innagu in kastoo aynu badan nahay, waxaynu nahay jidh qudha, maxaa yeelay, waxaa jira kibis qudha, waayo, dhammaanteen waxaynu wada qaybsannaa kibista qudha.
18 Consider those who belong to Israel according to the flesh: Are they not united by eating the sacrifices of the altar?
Eega reer binu Israa'iil xagga jidhka; kuwa allabaryada cunaa miyaanay la wadaagin meesha allabariga?
19 What am I saying then? That an idol is anything, or that food sacrificed to an idol is anything?
Haddaba maxaan leeyahay? Wax sanam loo sadqeeyo waa wax? Ama, sanam baa wax ah?
20 No, I am saying that what the pagans sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God. I do not want you to be participants with demons.
Laakiin waxyaalaha ay dadka aan Yuhuudda ahayn sadqeeyaan, waxay u sadqeeyaan jinniyo, ee Ilaah uma sadqeeyaan. Dooni maayo inaad jinniyada wax la wadaagtaan.
21 You cannot drink both the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot share in both the table of the Lord and the table of demons.
Iskuma wada cabbi kartaan koobka Rabbiga iyo koobka jinniyada. Kama wada qayb geli kartaan miiska Rabbiga iyo miiska jinniyada.
22 Or are we trying to provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he is?
Miyaynu Rabbiga ka hinaasinnaa? Miyaynu isaga ka xoog badan nahay?
23 “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are beneficial. “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things edify.
Wax waliba waa xalaal, laakiin wax waliba ma roona. Wax waliba waa xalaal, laakiin wax waliba wax ma dhisaan.
24 No one should seek his own good, but each person should seek the good of others.

25 Eat whatever is sold in the meat market, questioning nothing for the sake of conscience,

26 for “the earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof.”
Waayo, Rabbigaa leh dhulka iyo waxa ku jira oo dhanba.
27 If one of the unbelievers invites you to dinner and you want to go, eat whatever is set before you, questioning nothing for the sake of conscience.
Mid ka mid ah kuwa aan rumaysnayn hadduu diyaafad idiinku yeedho oo aad doonaysaan inaad tagtaan, wax kasto oo laydin hor dhigoba cuna, idinkoo aan waxba weyddiinaynin niyada aawadeed.
28 But if someone says to you, “This meat was sacrificed to an idol,” do not eat it, for the sake of the one who informed you and for the sake of conscience; for “the earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof.”
Laakiin haddii laydinku yidhaahdo, Tanu waa wax sanam loo sadqeeyey, ha cunina, kan idiin sheegay aawadiis iyo niyada aawadeed.
29 But when I say “conscience,” I am not speaking about yoʋr own conscience, but the other person's conscience. For why is my freedom judged by another's conscience?
Waxaan leeyahay, niyada kan kale, ee ma aha taada. Waayo, xoriyaddayda maxaa loogu xukumaa mid kale niyadiis?
30 If I partake with thankfulness, why should I be criticized because of something for which I give thanks?
Haddaan mahad kaga qayb galo, maxaa la iigu caayaa wixii aan ku mahadnaqo?
31 So whether you eat or drink or do anything, do it all for the glory of God.
Haddaba haddaad wax cuntaan, ama wax cabtaan, ama wax kastaad samaysaan, dhammaan u wada sameeya Ilaah ammaantiisa.
32 Give no offense to Jews or Greeks or the church of God,
Wax lagu turunturoodo ha u noqonina Yuhuudda ama Gariigta ama kiniisadda Ilaah,
33 just as I also try to please everyone in everything I do, not seeking my own benefit, but the benefit of many, so that they may be saved.
