< Romans 3 >

1 What then is the superiority of the Jew? Or what is the advantage of circumcision?
Te dongah Judah hlang kah a banhman te balae? yahvinrhetnah kah a phu tah balae?
2 Much, every way. And first, because to them were intrusted the oracles of God.
A longim boeih ah a phu muep om. Pathen kah olrhuh te lamhma la amih [Judah rhoek] a paek ngawn coeng.
3 For if some of them have not believed, have they, by their not believing, made the faith of God inefficient?
Te dongah hlangvang loh a hnalval uh atah metlamlae? Amih kah hnalvalnah loh Pathen taengkah tangnah te hmil tang mahnim?
4 Far be it: for God is veracious, and every man false: as it is written: That thou mightest be upright, in thy declarations; and be found pure, when they judge thee.
Om mahpawh, om cakhaw Pathen tah thuem. Tedae a daek tangtae bangla hlang boeih he laithae ni. Te daengah ni na ol neh na tang vetih na laitloek vaengah na noeng eh.
5 But if our iniquity establish the rectitude of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous, when he inflicteth wrath? (I speak as a man.)
Tedae mamih kah boethae loh Pathen kah duengnah a tueng sak atah balae n'thui eh? Kosi aka hong Pathen tah halang pawt nim? Hlang vanbangla ka thui lah eh.
6 Far from it. Otherwise how will God judge the world?
Te tlam te om mahpawh, om koinih metla Pathen loh diklai he lai a tloek eh?
7 But if the truth of God hath been furthered by my falsehood, to his glory; why am I then condemned as a sinner?
Tedae kai boethae he Pathen kah oltak loh a thangpomnah te a pungtai sak atah, balae hlangtholh bangla lai ka thui pueng?
8 Or shall we say as some have slanderously reported us to say: We will do evil things, that good results may come? The condemnation of such is reserved for justice.
Tedae mamih ah hlangvang loh, “Boethae saii sih, te daengah ni a then ha pawk eh,” a ti uh bangla soehsal uh boel sih. Laitloeknah tah amih ham om pah pai saeh.
9 What then, have WE the superiority, when we have before decided as to both Jews and Gentiles, that all of them are under sin?
Te koinih n'rhoei uh a te? Rhoei loengloeng mahpawh. Judah khaw, Greek khaw, tholh hmuiah boeih om tila n'cawh coeng.
10 As it is written: There is none righteous; no, no one:
A daek tangtae vanbangla aka dueng om pawh, khat khaw om pawh.
11 and none that understandeth; nor that seeketh after God.
Aka hmuhming te om pawh, Pathen aka tlap om pawh.
12 They have all turned aside, together; and become reprobates. There is none that doeth good; no, not one.
Boeih taengphael uh tih rhenten poci uh coeng, boethen aka saii te om pawh. [Pakhat khaw om pawh].
13 Their throats are open sepulchres, and their tongues treacherous; and the venom of the asp is under their lips.
Amih kah olrhong te hlan bangla ah tih a lai neh thailat uh. A hmui dongah rhulthae kah sue om.
14 Their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness;
A ka te thaephoeinah neh olkhaa bae.
15 and their feet are swift to shed blood.
A kho loh thii long sak ham thui.
16 Destruction and anguish are in their paths:
A longpuei ah pocinah neh ngaidaengnah om.
17 and the path of peacefulness they have not known:
Te dongah ngaimongnah longpuei te ming uh pawh.
18 and the fear of God is not before their eyes.
Amih mik ah Pathen rhihnah om pawh.
19 Now we know, that whatever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law; that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world be guilty before God.
Tedae olkhueng loh olkhueng hmuikah rhoek a voek te m'ming uh. Te dongah a ka te boeih khuem saeh lamtah diklai pum tah Pathen kah khotoh khobah la om ve.
20 Wherefore, by the deeds of the law, no flesh is justified before him: for, by the law, sin is known.
Olkhueng kah bibi loh amah hmaiah pumsa boeih tang sak mahpawh. Olkhueng lamloh tholh mingnah la om.
21 But now, the righteousness of God without the law, is manifested; and the law and the prophets testify of it:
Tedae olkhueng neh tonghma rhoek lamloh a phong Pathen kah duengnah tah olkhueng voel ah phoe coeng.
22 even the righteousness of God, which is by faith in Jesus Messiah, for every one, and on every one, that believeth in him: for there is no distinction;
Pathen kah duengnah tah Jesuh Khrih kah tangnah lamloh aka tangnah rhoek boeih taengah hlihloehnah a om moenih.
23 for they have all sinned, and failed of the glory of God.
Hlang boeih he tholh uh tih Pathen kah thangpomnah te a phavawt uh.
24 And they are justified gratuitously, by grace, and by the redemption which is in Jesus Messiah;
Jesuh Khrih ah tlannah rhangneh a lungvatnah loh a yoeyap la n'tang sak.
25 whom God hath preconstituted a propitiation, by faith in his blood, because of our sins, which we before committed,
Anih te Pathen loh a duengnah mingphanah la a thii dongkah tangnah rhangneh dawthnah la a hmoel.
26 in the space which God in his long suffering gave to us, for the manifestation of his righteousness at the present time; that he might be righteous, and might with righteousness justify him who is in the faith of our Lord Jesus Messiah.
Pathen kah uehnah dongah tholhsainah rhuem te hmilhnah la, tahae tue vaengah a duengnah te mingphanah la, Jesuh tangnah dongkah rhoek te aka dueng neh aka tang la aka om sak la om.
27 Where then is glorying? It is annihilated. By what law? by that of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
Te koinih hoemdamnah tah melam a khoe, ba olkhueng nen lae? mekah khoboe nen lae? Moenih, tangnah kah olkhueng nen dae ni.
28 We therefore conclude, that it is by faith a man is justified, and not by the works of the law.
Olkhueng kah khoboe voelah hlang he tangnah loh a tang sak ni m'poek uh.
29 For, is he the God of the Jews only, and not of the Gentiles? Nay: of the Gentiles also.
Te phoeiah Pathen tah Judah rhoek bueng kah a? Namtom rhoek kah van moenih a? Ue namtom rhoek kah van ta.
30 Because there is, one God, who justifieth the circumcision by faith, and the uncircumcision by the same faith.
A tangtang atah tangnah neh yahvinrhetnah khaw, tangnah neh pumdul khaw Pathen pakhat long ni a tang sak eh.
31 Do, we then nullify the law by faith? Far be it. On the contrary, we establish the law.
Te dongah tangnah lamloh olkhueng te m'hmil uh pawn a? A hmil pawt dongah olkhueng ni lat m'pai puei uh.
