Revelation 2
1 To the angel of the church which is at Ephesus write: These things saith he who holdeth all things, and the seven stars, in his right hand; he that walketh in the midst of the seven candlesticks of gold;
“Ergamaa Waaqaa kan waldaa kiristaanaa Efesoonittiakkana jedhii barreessi: Inni urjiiwwan torba harka isaa mirgaatti qabatee baattuuwwan ibsaa kanneen warqee irraa hojjetaman gidduu deddeebiʼu sun akkana jedha.
2 I know thy works, and thy toil, and thy patience, and that thou canst not endure the wicked; and thou hast tried them who say they are legates, and are not; and thou hast found them liars.
Ani hojii kee, dadhabbii keetii fi obsaan dhaabachuu kee beeka. Akka ati calʼiftee namoota hamoo hin dhiifne, warra utuu ergamoota hin taʼin ergamoota ofiin jedhan qortee akka isaan sobduu taʼan mirkaneessites nan beeka.
3 And thou hast had patience, and hast borne the burden, on account of my name, and hast not fainted.
Ati maqaa kootiif jettee obsaan dhaabatteerta; rakkina obsiteerta; hin dadhabnes.
4 Yet I have a charge against thee, on account of thy former love, which thou hast left.
Taʼus jaalala kee isa jalqabaa dhiisuu keetiif ani waan sirraa jibbu xinnoo qaba.
5 Therefore remember whence thou hast fallen; and repent, and do the former works: or if not, I will come to thee quickly, and I will remove thy candlestick from its place, except thou repent.
Kanaaf ati maal irraa akka kufte yaadadhu! Qalbii jijjiirradhuutii hojii kee kan duraa sana hojjedhu. Yoo ati qalbii jijjiirrachuu baatte immoo ani sittin dhufa; baattuu ibsaa keetiis iddoo isaatii nan fuudha.
6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
Garuu waan gaarii tokko qabda: Hojii Niqolaawotaa kan ani jibbu sana atis ni jibbita.
7 He that hath ears, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches. To him who is victorious, will I give to eat of the tree of life which is in the paradise of my God.
Namni gurra qabu waan Hafuurri waldoota kiristaanaatiin jedhu haa dhagaʼu. Nama moʼatu akka inni muka jireenyaa kan jannata Waaqaa keessa jiru irraa nyaatuuf mirga nan kennaaf.
8 And to the angel of the church which is at Smyrna, write: These things saith the First and the Last, he who was dead, and liveth.
“Ergamaa Waaqaa kan waldaa kiristaanaa Samirnaattiakkana jedhii barreessi: Inni Jalqabaatii fi inni Dhumaa, inni duʼee turee fi amma immoo jiraataa taʼe sun akkana jedha.
9 I know thy works, and the affliction, and the poverty, (yet thou art rich; ) and the railing which is from them who say they are Jews, and they are not, but are of the congregation of Satan.
Ani rakkinaa fi hiyyummaa kee beeka; taʼus ati sooressa! Arrabsoo warra utuu Yihuudoota hin taʼin Yihuudoota ofiin jedhan sanaas nan beeka; isaan garuu waldaa Seexanaa ti.
10 Be not terrified at any of the things thou art to suffer. For lo, the Accuser will throw some of you into custody, that ye may be tried; and there will be trouble to you ten days. Be faithful unto death, and I will give thee the crown of life.
Dhiphina sirra gaʼuuf jiru hin sodaatin. Kunoo, akka qoramtaniif diiyaabiloos isin keessaa namoota tokko tokko mana hidhaatti ni galcha. Guyyaa kudhanis ni dhiphattu. Ati hamma duʼaatti amanamaa taʼi; ani gonfoo jireenyaa siifin kennaatii.
11 He that hath ears, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches. He that is victorious, shall not be harmed by the second death.
Namni gurra qabu waan Hafuurri waldoota kiristaanaatiin jedhu haa dhagaʼu. Namni moʼatu duʼa lammaffaan hin miidhamu.
12 And to the angel of the church at Pergamos, write: Thus saith he who hath the sharp two-edged sword;
“Ergamaa Waaqaa kan waldaa kiristaanaa Phergaamoonittiakkana jedhii barreessi: Inni goraadee qaramaa afaan lamaa qabu sun akkana jedha.
13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where the throne of Satan is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied the faith of me, in those days when my faithful witness, who was slain among you, was made a spectacle where Satan dwelleth.
Ani iddoo ati jiraattu beeka; innis iddoo teessoon Seexanaa jiruu dha. Taʼus ati maqaa koo jabeessitee qabatteerta. Bara Antiiphaas dhuga baatuun koo amanamaan magaalaa keessan keessatti iddoo Seexanni jiraatutti ajjeefame illee ati amantii narratti qabdu hin dhiifne.
14 Yet I have a small charge against thee. Thou hast there them who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to throw a stumbling-block before the children of Israel, that they might eat the sacrifices of idols, and might commit whoredom.
Haa taʼuu malee sababii ati namoota barsiisa Balaʼaamduukaa buʼan achii qabduuf ani waan sirraa jibbu xinnoo qaba; namni akka inni saba Israaʼel dura gufuu kaaʼee akka isaan nyaata waaqota tolfamoof aarsaa dhiʼeeffame nyaatanii fi akka isaan halalummaadhaan jiraatan godhuuf jedhee Baalaaqin barsiise Balaʼaam tureetii.
15 So also thou hast them who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans. In like manner, repent thou.
Akkasumas namoota barsiisa Niqolaawotaa duukaa buʼan tokko tokko of biraa qabda.
16 Or if not, I will come to thee quickly, and I will war upon them with the sword of my mouth.
Kanaafuu qalbii jijjiirradhu! Yoo kanaa achii ani dafeen sitti dhufa; goraadee afaan kootiitiinis jara sana nan lola.
17 He that hath ears, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches. To him that is victorious, will I give to eat of the hidden manna; and I will give him a white counter, and upon the counter a new name written, which no one knoweth but he that receiveth it.
Namni gurra qabu waan Hafuurri waldoota kiristaanaatiin jedhu haa dhagaʼu. Nama moʼatuuf mannaa dhokfame irraa nan kenna. Akkasumas dhagaa adii maqaan haaraan irratti barreeffame tokko nan kennaaf; maqaa sanas namicha isa fudhatu sana malee namni tokko iyyuu hin beeku.
18 And to the angel of the church at Thyatira, write: These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like a flame of fire, and his feet like fine brass:
“Ergamaa Waaqaa kan Waaqaa kan waldaa Kiristaanaa Tiyaatiraattiakkana jedhii barreessi: Ilmi Waaqaa inni iji isaa arraba ibiddaa fakkaatu, kan miilli isaa immoo naasii baqfamee qulqulleeffame fakkaatu sun akkana jedha.
19 I know thy works, and love, and faith, and service, and also thy patience; and that these thy latter works are more than the former.
Ani hojii kee, jaalalaa fi amantii kee, tajaajilaa fi obsaan dhaabachuu kee beeka; akkasumas akka hojiin kee inni ammaa kun isa duraa caalu nan beeka.
20 But I have a charge against thee, because thou sufferest thy woman Jezabel, who saith she is a prophetess, and teacheth, and seduceth my servants to whoredom, and to eating of the sacrifices of idols.
Haa taʼuu malee sababii ati dubartittii raajii ofiin jettu Iizaabelin calʼiftee ilaaltuuf ani waan sirraa jibbu xinnoo qaba. Isheenis barsiisa isheetiin tajaajiltoota koo gowwoomsitee akka isaan halalummaa hojjetanii fi akka isaan nyaata waaqota tolfamoof aarsaa dhiʼeeffame nyaatan gooti.
21 And I gave her a season for repentance, and she is not disposed to repent of her whoredom.
Ani akka isheen halalummaa ishee irraa qalbii jijjiirrattuuf yeroo kenneefiin ture; isheen garuu ni didde.
22 Behold, I will cast her upon a bed, and them who commit adultery with her into great affliction, unless they repent of their deeds.
Kanaafuu ani siree dhiphinaa irratti ishee nan gata; warra ishee wajjin ejjanis yoo isaan karaa ishee irraa qalbii jijjiirrachuu baatan rakkina guddaa keessa isaan nan buusa.
23 And her children will I slay with death: and all the churches shall know, that I am he who searcheth reins and hearts; and I will render to each of you according to your works.
Ijoollee ishee immoo dhaʼichaan nan ajjeesa. Waldoonni kiristaanaa hundinuus akka ani kalee fi onnee qoru ni beeku; anis tokkoo tokkoo keessaniif akkuma hojii keessaniitti gatii keessan isinii nan kenna.
24 And I say to you, to the rest that are in Thyatira, to all them who have not received this doctrine, the men who have not known the profound things of Satan, as they say; I lay no other burden upon you:
Isin warra Tiyaatiraa keessa jiraattan kanneen barsiisa ishee duukaa hin buʼinii fi warra barsiisa Seexanaa kan dhoksaa gad fagoo jedhamu sana hin baratiniin akkana nan jedha; ‘Ani baʼaa biraa isinitti hin feʼu;
25 but, what ye have, hold fast until I come.
isin garuu hamma ani dhufutti waan qabdan sana jabeessaa qabadhaa.’
26 And to him that is victorious, and to him that observeth my works unto the end, to him will I give authority, over the nations;
Ani nama moʼatuuf, kan hamma dhumaattis fedhii koo guutuuf saboota irratti taayitaa nan kenna.
27 and he shall rule them with a rod of iron; and like vessels of pottery, shall they be broken: as I also have received of my Father.
‘Inni bokkuu sibiilaatiin isaan bulcha; akkuma qodaa supheettisisaan hurreessa;’ kunis akkuma ani itti Abbaa koo biraa taayitaa argadhe sanaan.
28 And I will give him the morning star.
Ani immoo bakkalcha barii nan kennaaf.
29 He that hath ears, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches.
Namni gurra qabu waan Hafuurri waldoota kiristaanaatiin jedhu haa dhagaʼu.
