Revelation 18
1 After these things, I saw another angel come down from heaven; and he had great authority and the earth was illumined by his glory.
इन बातों के बाद मैंने एक और फ़रिश्ते को आसमान पर से उतरते देखा, जिसे बड़ा इख़्तियार था; और ज़मीन उसके जलाल से रौशन हो गई।
2 And he cried with a strong voice, saying: Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great: and hath become a cavern of demons, and the home of every unclean spirit, and the home of every unclean and hateful bird and the home of every unclean and hateful beast of prey.
उसने बड़ी आवाज़ से चिल्लाकर कहा, “गिर पड़ा, बड़ा शहर बाबुल गिर पड़ा! और शयातीन का मस्कन और हर नापाक और मकरूह परिन्दे का अंडा हो गया।
3 For all the nations have drunken of the wine of her wrath; and the kings of the earth have practised whoredom with her; and the merchants of the earth have been enriched by the abundance of her luxuries.
क्यूँकि उसकी हरामकारी की ग़ज़बनाक मय के ज़रिए तमाम क़ौमें गिर गईं हैं और ज़मीन के बादशाहों ने उसके साथ हरामकारी की है, और दुनियाँ के सौदागर उसके 'ऐशो — ओ — अशरत की बदौलत दौलतमन्द हो गए।”
4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying: Come ye out of her, my people; that ye may not participate in her sins, and may not partake of her plagues.
फिर मैंने आसमान में किसी और को ये कहते सुना, “ऐ मेरी उम्मत के लोगो! उसमें से निकल आओं, ताकि तुम उसके गुनाहों में शरीक न हो, और उसकी आफ़तों में से कोई तुम पर न आ जाए।
5 For her sins have reached up to heaven; and God hath remembered her iniquities.
क्यूँकि उसके गुनाह आसमान तक पहुँच गए हैं, और उसकी बदकारियाँ ख़ुदा को याद आ गई हैं।
6 Recompense ye to her, as she also hath recompensed; and render to her double, according to her deeds; in the cup which she hath mixed, mix ye to her two fold.
जैसा उसने किया वैसा ही तुम भी उसके साथ करो, और उसे उसके कामों का दो चन्द बदला दो, जिस क़दर उसने प्याला भरा तुम उसके लिए दुगना भर दो।
7 As much as she pleased herself with lasciviousness, so much of anguish and sorrow give ye to her. Because she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and I shall see no sorrow;
जिस क़दर उसने अपने आपको शानदार बनाया, और अय्याशी की थी, उसी क़दर उसको 'अज़ाब और ग़म में डाल दो; क्यूँकि वो अपने दिल में कहती है, 'मैं मलिका हो बैठी हूँ, बेवा नहीं; और कभी ग़म न देखूँगी।'
8 therefore, in one day, shall these her plagues come, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
इसलिए उस एक ही दिन में आफ़तें आएँगी, या'नी मौत और ग़म और काल; और वो आग में जलकर ख़ाक कर दी जाएगी, क्यूँकि उसका इन्साफ़ करनेवाला ख़ुदावन्द ख़ुदा ताक़तवर है।”
9 And the kings of the earth who committed whoredom and were lascivious with her, shall weep, and mourn, and bewail her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
“और उसके साथ हरामकारी और 'अय्याशी करनेवाले ज़मीन के बादशाह, जब उसके जलने का धुवाँ देखेंगे तो उसके लिए रोएँगे और छाती पीटेंगे।
10 standing afar off, from fear of her torment, and saying, Alas, alas! that great city Babylon, that powerful city; for in one hour is thy judgment come!
और उसके 'अज़ाब के डर से दूर खड़े हुए कहेंगे, 'ऐ बड़े शहर! अफ़सोस! अफ़सोस! घड़ी ही भर में तुझे सज़ा मिल गई।'”
11 And the merchants of the earth will mourn over her, because no one purchaseth their cargo;
“और दुनियाँ के सौदागर उसके लिए रोएँगे और मातम करेंगे, क्यूँकि अब कोई उनका माल नहीं ख़रीदने का;
12 no more, the cargo of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and every aromatic wood, and all vessels of ivory, and all vessels of very precious wood, and of brass, and of iron, and of marble,
और वो माल ये है: सोना, चाँदी, जवाहर, मोती, और महीन कतानी, और इर्ग़वानी और रेशमी और क़िरमिज़ी कपड़े, और हर तरह की ख़ुशबूदार लकड़ियाँ, और हाथीदाँत की तरह की चीज़ें, और निहायत बेशक़ीमती लकड़ी, और पीतल और लोहे और संग — ए — मरमर की तरह तरह की चीज़ें,
13 and cinnamon, and amomum, and aromatics, and unguents, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts of burden, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and the bodies and souls of men.
और दाल चीनी और मसाले और 'ऊद और 'इत्र और लुबान, और मय और तेल और मैदा और गेहूँ, और मवेशी और भेड़ें और घोड़े, और गाड़ियां और ग़ुलाम और आदमियों की जानें।
14 And the fruits which thy soul desired, have departed from thee; and all things delicious and splendid have perished from thee; and the traders in them shall obtain them no more.
अब तेरे दिल पसन्द मेवे तेरे पास से दूर हो गए, और सब लज़ीज़ और तोहफ़ा चीज़ें तुझ से जाती रहीं, अब वो हरगिज़ हाथ न आएँगी।
15 And they who were enriched from her, will stand afar off, for fear of her torment; and will weep and mourn,
इन दिनों के सौदागर जो उसके वजह से मालदार बन गए थे, उसके 'अज़ाब ले ख़ौफ़ से दूर खड़े हुए रोएँगे और ग़म करेंगे।
16 saying: Alas, alas! that great city, which was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and gilded with gold, and precious stones, and pearls; because, in one hour, such riches are laid waste.
और कहेंगे, अफ़सोस! अफ़सोस! वो बड़ा शहर जो महीन कतानी, और इर्ग़वानी और क़िरमिज़ी कपड़े पहने हुए, और सोने और जवाहर और मोतियों से सजा हुआ था।
17 And every pilot, and every navigator to the place, and the sailors, and all who do business by sea) stood afar off,
घड़ी ही भर में उसकी इतनी बड़ी दौलत बरबाद हो गई,' और सब नाख़ुदा और जहाज़ के सब मुसाफ़िर,” “और मल्लाह और जितने समुन्दर का काम करते हैं,
18 and cried, when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying: What other is like this great city!
जब उसके जलने का धुवाँ देखेंगे, तो दूर खड़े हुए चिल्लाएँगे और कहेंगे, 'कौन सा शहर इस बड़े शहर की तरह है?
19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping, and mourning, and saying: Alas, alas that great city, in which all that have ships in the sea became rich, by her preciousness; for in one hour she hath become desolate.
और अपने सिरों पर ख़ाक डालेंगे, और रोते हुए और मातम करते हुए चिल्ला चिल्ला कर कहेंगे, 'अफ़सोस! अफ़सोस! वो बड़ा शहर जिसकी दौलत से समुन्दर के सब जहाज़ वाले दौलतमन्द हो गए, घड़ी ही भर में उजड़ गया।'
20 Rejoice over her, O heaven, and ye Angels, and Legates, and Prophets; because God judgeth your cause with her.
ऐ आसमान, और ऐ मुक़द्दसों और रसूलों और नबियो! उस पर ख़ुशी करो, क्यूँकि ख़ुदा ने इन्साफ़ करके उससे तुम्हारा बदला ले लिया!”
21 And an angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying: So shall Babylon, the great city, be thrown down with violence, and shall no more be found:
फिर एक ताक़तवर फ़रिश्ते ने बड़ी चक्की के पाट की तरह एक पत्थर उठाया, और ये कहकर समुन्दर में फेंक दिया, “बाबुल का बड़ा शहर भी इसी तरह ज़ोर से गिराया जाएगा, और फिर कभी उसका पता न मिलेगा।
22 and the voice of harpers and musicians and pipers and trumpeters, shall no more be heard in thee; and no artificer of any trade, shall be found any more in thee.
और बर्बत नवाज़ों, और मुतरिबों, और बाँसुरी बजानेवालों और नरसिंगा फूँकने वालों की आवाज़ फिर कभी तुझ में न सुनाई देगी; और किसी काम का कारीगर तुझ में फिर कभी पाया न जाएगा। और चक्की की आवाज़ तुझ में फिर कभी न सुनाई देगी।
23 And the light of a candle, shall not be seen in thee; and the voice of a bridegroom and bride, shall no more be heard in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth, because all nations were seduced by thy sorceries.
और चिराग़ की रौशनी तुझ में फिर कभी न चमकेगी, और तुझ में दुल्हे और दुल्हन की आवाज़ फिर कभी सुनाई न देगी; क्यूँकि तेरे सौदागर ज़मीन के अमीर थे, और तेरी जादूगरी से सब क़ौमें गुमराह हो गईं।
24 And in her was found the blood of prophets and saints, and of all those that have been slain on the earth.
और नबियों और मुक़द्दसों, और ज़मीन के सब मक़तूलों का ख़ून उसमें पाया गया।”
