Philippians 3
1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in our Lord. To write these things again and again to you, is not irksome to me, because they make you cautious.
RESTA, hermanos, que os goceis en el Señor. A mí, á la verdad, no es molesto el escribiros las mismas cosas, y para vosotros [es] seguro.
2 Beware of dogs; beware of evil doers; beware of the clipped in flesh.
Guardáos de los perros, guardáos de los malos obreros, guardáos del cortamiento.
3 For we are the real circumcision, who worship God in spirit, and glory in Jesus the Messiah, and place no reliance on the flesh.
Porque nosotros somos la circuncision, los que servimos en Espíritu á Dios, y nos gloriamos en Cristo Jesus, no teniendo confianza en la carne.
4 And yet I might place reliance on the flesh. For, if any one thinketh that his reliance should be on the flesh, I might do so more than he.
Aunque yo tengo tambien de qué confiar en la carne. Si alguno parece que tiene de qué confiar, en la carne, yo más:
5 Circumcised when eight days old; of the stock of Israel; of the tribe of Benjamin; a Hebrew, descendant of Hebrews; as to the law, a Pharisee;
Circuncidado al octavo dia, del linaje de Israel, de la tribu de Benjamin, Hebréo de Hebréos; cuanto á la ley, Fariséo;
6 as to zeal, a persecutor of the church; and as to the righteousness of the law, I was without fault.
Cuanto al celo, perseguidor de la iglesia; cuanto á la justicia que es en la ley, [de vida] irreprensible.
7 But these things, which had been my excellence, I have accounted a detriment, because of the Messiah.
Pero las cosas que para mí eran ganancias, helas reputado [como] pérdidas por amor de Cristo.
8 And now also I account them all a detriment, because of the excellency of the knowledge of Jesus the Messiah my Lord; for the sake of whom, I have parted with all things, and have accounted them as dung, that I might gain the Messiah,
Y ciertamente aun reputo todas las cosas [como] pérdida por el eminente conocimiento de Cristo Jesus, mi Señor, por amor del cual lo he perdido todo, y téngolo por estiércol, para ganar á Cristo,
9 and be found in him; since my righteousness is not now that from the law, but that which is from faith in the Messiah, that is, the righteousness which is from God;
Y ser hallado en él, no teniendo mi justicia, que es por la ley, sino la que es por la fé de Cristo, la justicia que es de Dios por la fé;
10 that thereby I might know Jesus, and the efficacy of his resurrection; and might participate in his sufferings, and be assimilated to his death:
A fin de conocerle, y la virtud de su resurreccion, y la participacion de sus padecimientos, en conformidad á su muerte,
11 if so be, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
Si en alguna manera llegase á la resurreccion de los muertos.
12 Not as though I had already taken the prize, or were already complete; but I run in the race, if so I may take that, for which Jesus the Messiah took me.
No que ya haya alcanzado, ni que ya sea perfecto; sino que prosigo, por ver si alcanzo [aquello] para lo cual fuí tambien tomado de Cristo Jesus.
13 My brethren, I do not consider myself, as having taken it. But one thing I know, that I forget the things behind me, and reach for the things before me;
Hermanos, yo mismo no hago cuenta de haberlo ya alcanzado; pero [esta] una cosa [hago: ] olvidando ciertamente lo que queda atrás, y extendiéndome á lo que está delante,
14 and I run straight for the goal, that I may obtain the prize of victory of the call of God from on high, by Jesus the Messiah.
Prosigo al blanco, al premio de la soberana vocacion de Dios en Cristo Jesus.
15 Therefore let those who are perfect, have these views; and if ye differently view any thing, God will reveal that also to you.
Así que todos los que somos perfectos, esto [mismo] sintamos: y si otra cosa sentís, esto tambien os revelará Dios.
16 Nevertheless, that we may attain to this, let us proceed on in one path, and with one consent.
Empero en aquello á que hemos llegado, vamos por la misma regla, [y] sintamos una misma cosa.
17 Be like me, my brethren; and contemplate them, who walk after the pattern ye have seen in us.
Hermanos, sed imitadores de mí; y mirad los que así anduvieren, como nos teneis por ejemplo.
18 For there are many who walk otherwise; of whom I have often told you, and I now tell you, with weeping, that they are adversaries of the cross of the Messiah;
Porque muchos andan, de los cuales os dije muchas voces, y aun ahora [lo] digo llorando, [que son] enemigos de la cruz de Cristo:
19 whose end is destruction; whose god is their belly, and their glory their shame; whose thoughts are on things of the earth.
Cuyo fin [será] perdicion, cuyo Dios [es] el vientre, y su gloria [será] en confusion; que sienten lo terreno.
20 But our concern is with heaven; and from thence we expect our Vivifier, our Lord, Jesus the Messiah;
Mas nuestra vivienda es en los cielos; de donde tambien esperamos al Salvador, al Señor Jesu-Cristo;
21 who will change the body of our abasement, that it may have the likeness of the body of his glory, according to his great power, whereby all things are made subject to him.
El cual trasformará el cuerpo de nuestra bajeza, para ser semejante al cuerpo de su gloria: por la operacion con la cual puede tambien sujetar á sí todas las cosas.
