Matthew 24
1 And Jesus passed out of the temple to go away: and his disciples came to him, showing him the structure of the temple.
১পরে যীশু ঈশ্বরের গৃহ থেকে বের হয়ে নিজের রাস্তায় চলেছেন, এমন দিনের তাঁর শিষ্যেরা তাঁকে মন্দিরের গাঁথনিগুলি দেখানোর জন্য কাছে গেলেন।
2 And he said to them: See ye not all these? Verily I say to you, There will not be left here a stone upon a stone, that is not demolished.
২কিন্তু তিনি তাঁদের বললেন, “তোমরা কি এই সব দেখছ না? আমি তোমাদের সত্যি বলছি, এই মন্দিরের একটা পাথর অন্য পাথরের উপরে থাকবে না, সব কিছুই ধ্বংস হবে।”
3 And as Jesus sat on the mount of Olives, his disciples came, and said between themselves and him: Tell us when these things are to be; and what will be the sign of thy coming, and of the consummation of the world. (aiōn g165)
৩পরে তিনি জৈতুন পর্বতের উপরে বসলে শিষ্যেরা গোপনে তাঁর কাছে এসে বললেন, “আমাদেরকে বলুন দেখি, এই সব ঘটনা কখন ঘটবে? আর আপনার আবার ফিরে আসার এবং যুগ শেষ হওয়ার চিহ্ন কি?” (aiōn g165)
4 Jesus answered and said to them: Take heed, that no one deceive you.
৪যীশু এর উত্তরে তাঁদের বললেন, “সাবধান হও, কেউ যেন তোমাদের না ঠকায়।”
5 For many will come in my name, and will say, I am the Messiah: and they will deceive many.
৫কারণ অনেকেই আমার নাম ধরে আসবে, বলবে, আমিই সেই খ্রীষ্ট, আর অনেক লোককে ঠকাবে।
6 And ye are to hear of conflicts, and the rumor of battles. See that ye be not disquieted: for all these things must come; but the consummation is not yet.
৬আর তোমরা যুদ্ধের কথাও যুদ্ধের গুজব শুনবে, দেখো, অস্থির হয়ো না, কারণ এসব অবশ্যই ঘটবে, কিন্তু তখনও এর শেষ নয়।
7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes in divers places.
৭কারণ এক জাতি অন্য জাতির বিরুদ্ধে ও এক রাজ্যে অন্য রাজ্যের বিরুদ্ধে উঠবে। জায়গায় জায়গায় ভূমিকম্প ও দূর্ভিক্ষ হবে।
8 But all these are only the commencement of sorrows.
৮কিন্তু এই সবই যন্ত্রণা আরম্ভ মাত্র।
9 And they will deliver you up to tribulation, and will kill you: and ye will be hated by all nations, on account of my name.
৯সেই দিনের লোকেরা কষ্ট দেবার জন্য তোমাদের সমর্পণ করবে, ও তোমাদের বধ করবে, আর আমার নামের জন্য সমস্ত জাতি তোমাদের ঘৃণা করবে।
10 Then many will be stumbled: and they will hate one another, and will betray one another.
১০আর সেই দিন অনেকে বিশ্বাস ছেড়ে চলে যাবে, একজন অন্য জনকে শত্রুর হাতে সমর্পণ করবে, একে অন্যকে ঘৃণা করবে।
11 And many false prophets will rise up; and they will deceive many.
১১আর অনেক ভণ্ড ভাববাদী আসবে এবং অনেককে ভোলাবে।
12 And on account of the abounding of iniquity, the love of many will decline.
১২আর অধর্ম্ম বৃদ্ধি হওয়াতে অধিকাংশ লোকের প্রেম শীতল হয়ে যাবে।
13 But he that shall persevere to the end, will have life.
১৩কিন্তু যে কেউ শেষ পর্যন্ত স্থির থাকবে, সে উদ্ধার পাবে।
14 And this announcement of the kingdom shall be published in all the world, for a testimony to all nations: and then will come the consummation.
১৪আবার সব জাতির কাছে সাক্ষ্য দাওয়ার জন্য রাজ্যের এই সুসমাচার সমস্ত জগতে প্রচার করা হবে, আর তখন শেষ দিন উপস্থিত হবে।
15 And when ye see the abominable sign of desolation, which was spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place; then let the reader consider;
১৫অতএব যখন তোমরা দেখবে, ধ্বংসের যে ঘৃণার জিনিসের বিষয়ে দানিয়েল ভাববাদী বলেছেন, যা পবিত্র স্থানে দাঁড়িয়ে আছে, যে ব্যক্তি এই বিষয়ে পড়ে সে বুঝুক,
16 and then let them who are in Judaea, flee to the mountain:
১৬তখন যারা যিহূদিয়াতে থাকে, তারা পাহাড়ি অঞ্চলে পালিয়ে যাক,
17 and let him who is on the roof, not come down to take what is in his house:
১৭যে কেউ ছাদের উপরে থাকে, সে ঘর থেকে জিনিসপত্র নাওয়ার জন্য নীচে না নামুক,
18 and let him who is in the field, not return back to take his clothing.
১৮আর যে কেউ ক্ষেতে থাকে, সে তার পোশাক নাওয়ার জন্য পেছনে ফিরে না যাক।
19 But woe to those with child, and to them that are nursing, in those days.
১৯হায়, সেই দিনের গর্ভবতী এবং যাদের কোলে দুধের বাচ্চা তাদের খুবই কষ্ট হবে!
20 And pray ye, that your flight be not in winter, or on the sabbath.
২০আর প্রার্থনা কর, যেন তোমাদের শীতকালে কিম্বা বিশ্রামবারে পালাতে না হয়।
21 For there will then be great distress, such as hath not been from the commencement of the world, until now, and will not be.
২১কারণ সেদিন এমন মহাসংকট উপস্থিত হবে, যা জগতের আরম্ভ থেকে এ পর্যন্ত কখনও হয়নি, আর কখনও হবেও না।
22 And unless those days should be cut short, no flesh would remain alive. But, for the elect's sake, those days will be cut short.
২২আর সেই দিনের সংখ্যা যদি কমিয়ে দেওয়া না হত, তবে কোন মানুষই উদ্ধার পেত না, কিন্তু যারা মনোনীত তাদের জন্য সেই দিনের সংখ্যা কমিয়ে দেওয়া হবে।
23 Then, if any one shall say to you, Lo, the Messiah is here, or is there; give no credence.
২৩তখন যদি কেউ তোমাদের বলে, দেখ, সেই খ্রীষ্ট এখানে, কিম্বা ওখানে, তোমরা বিশ্বাস কর না।
24 For there will arise false Messiahs, and mendacious prophets; who will exhibit great signs, so as to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
২৪কারণ ভণ্ড খ্রীষ্টেরা ও ভণ্ড ভাববাদীরা উঠবে এবং এমন মহান মহান চিহ্ন ও আশ্চর্য্য আশ্চর্য্য কাজ দেখাবে যে, যদি হতে পারে, তবে মনোনীতদেরও ভোলাবে।
25 Behold, I have told you beforehand.
২৫দেখ, আমি আগেই তোমাদের বললাম।
26 If therefore they say to you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not out: or, Behold, he is in a secret chamber; give no credence.
২৬অতএব লোকে যদি তোমাদের বলে, দেখ, তিনি মরূপ্রান্তে, তোমরা বাইরে যেও না, দেখ, তিনি গোপন ঘরে, তোমরা বিশ্বাস করো না।
27 As the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth unto the west, so will be the coming of the Son of man.
২৭কারণ বিদ্যুৎ যেমন পূর্ব দিক থেকে বের হয়ে পশ্চিম দিক পর্যন্ত প্রকাশ পায়, তেমন ভাবেই মনুষ্যপুত্রের আগমনও হবে।
28 And wherever the carcass may be, there will the eagles be congregated.
২৮যেখান মৃতদেহ থাকে সেইখানে শকুন জড়ো হবে।
29 And immediately after the distress of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not show her light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of heaven will be agitated.
২৯আর সেই দিনের সংকটের পরেই সূর্য্য অন্ধকার হবে, চাঁদও জ্যোৎস্না দেবে না, আকাশ থেকে তারা খসে পড়বে ও আকাশমন্ডলের সমস্ত ক্ষমতা।
30 And then will be seen the signal of the Son of man in heaven: and then will all the tribes of the earth mourn, when they see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.
৩০আর তখন মনুষ্যপুত্রের চিহ্ন আকাশে দেখা যাবে, আর তখন পৃথিবীর সমস্ত জাতি বিলাপ করবে এবং মনুষ্যপুত্রকে আকাশে মেঘরথে পরাক্রম ও মহা প্রতাপে আসতে দেখবে।
31 And he will send his angels with a great trumpet and they will collect together his elect from the four winds, from one extremity of heaven to the other.
৩১আর তিনি মহা তূরীধ্বনির সঙ্গে তাঁর দূতদের পাঠাবেন, তাঁরা আকাশের এক সীমা থেকে আর এক সীমা পর্যন্ত, চারদিক থেকে তাঁর মনোনীতদের একত্রিত করবেন।
32 And learn ye an illustration from the fig-tree. As soon as its branches become tender and its leaves shoot forth, ye know that summer is coming on.
৩২ডুমুরগাছের গল্প থেকে শিক্ষা নাও, যখন তার ডালে কচি পাতা বের হয়, তখন তোমরা জানতে পার, গ্রীষ্মকাল এসে গেছে,
33 So also ye, when ye perceive all these things, know ye, that he is nigh, even at the door.
৩৩তেমনি তোমরা ঐ সব ঘটনা দেখলেই জানবে, তিনিও আসছেন, এমনকি, দরজার কাছে উপস্থিত।
34 Verily I say to you, That this generation shall not pass away, till all these things shall be.
৩৪আমি তোমাদের সত্যি বলছি, এই যুগের লোকদের লোপ হবে না, যে পর্যন্ত না এ সমস্ত কিছু পূর্ণ হয়।
35 Heaven and earth will pass away; but my words shall not pass away.
৩৫আকাশের ও পৃথিবীর লোপ হবে কিন্তু আমার বাক্যের লোপ কখনও হবে না।
36 But of that day and of that hour, knoweth no man, nor even the angels of heaven, but the Father only.
৩৬কিন্তু সেই দিনের ও সেই মুহূর্তের বিষয় কেউই জানে না, এমনকি স্বর্গ দূতেরাও জানে না, পুত্রও জানে না, শুধু পিতা জানেন।
37 And as the days of Noah, so will the coming of the Son of man be.
৩৭যেমন নোহের দিনের হয়েছিল, মনুষ্যপুত্রের আগমনও তেমন হবে।
38 For as, before the flood, they were eating and drinking, taking wives and giving to husbands, up to the day that Noah entered the ark,
৩৮কারণ বন্যা আসার আগে থেকে, জাহাজে নোহের প্রবেশের দিন পর্যন্ত, লোকে যেমন খাওয়া দাওয়া করত, বিয়ে করত, ও বিয়ে দিয়েছে।
39 and knew not, until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of man be.
৩৯এবং ততক্ষণ বুঝতে পারল না, যতক্ষণ না বন্যা এসে সবাইকে ভাসিয়ে নিয়ে গেল, তেমন মনুষ্যপুত্রের আগমনের দিনের ও হবে।
40 Then will two men be in the field; the one will be taken, and the other left.
৪০তখন দুই জন ক্ষেতে থাকবে, এক জনকে নিয়ে নাওয়া হবে এবং অন্য জনকে ছেড়ে দেওয়া হবে।
41 Two women will be grinding at the mill; the one taken, and the other left.
৪১দুটি মহিলা যাঁতা পিষবে, এক জনকে নিয়ে যাওয়া হবে এবং অন্য জনকে ছেড়ে দেওয়া হবে।
42 Watch, therefore, since ye know not at what hour your Lord cometh.
৪২অতএব জেগে থাক, কারণ তোমাদের প্রভু কোন্ দিন আসবেন, তা তোমরা জান না।
43 But know this, that if the lord of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have been awake, and would not have suffered his house to be broken into.
৪৩কিন্তু এটা জেনে রাখো, চোর কোন মুহূর্তে আসবে, তা যদি বাড়ির মালিক জানত, তবে জেগে থাকত, নিজের বাড়িতে সিঁধ কাটতে দিত না।
44 Therefore, be ye also ready; for at an hour ye do not expect, the Son of man will come.
৪৪এই জন্য তোমরাও প্রস্তুত থাক, কারণ যে দিন তোমরা মনে করবে তিনি আসবেন না, সেই দিনই মনুষ্যপুত্র আসবেন।
45 Who then, is that faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath placed over his domestics, to give them their food in its time?
৪৫এখন, সেই বিশ্বস্ত ও বুদ্ধিমান দাসকে, যাকে তার মালিক তাঁর পরিজনের উপরে নিযুক্ত করেছেন, যেন সে তাদের উপযুক্ত দিনের খাবার দেয়?
46 Happy is that servant, whom, when his lord shall come, he will find so doing.
৪৬ধন্য সেই দাস, যাকে তার মালিক এসে তেমন করতে দেখবেন।
47 Verily I say to you, He will place him over all that he hath.
৪৭আমি তোমাদের সত্যি বলছি, তিনি তাকে তাঁর সব কিছুর উপরে নিযুক্ত করবেন।
48 But if that servant, being wicked, shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
৪৮কিন্তু সেই দুষ্টু দাস যদি তার হৃদয়ে বলে, আমার মালিকের আসবার দেরি আছে,
49 and shall begin to beat his fellow-servants, and shall be eating and drinking with drunkards;
৪৯আর যদি তার দাসদের মারতে এবং মাতাল লোকদের সঙ্গে খাওয়া দাওয়া করতে, আরম্ভ করে,
50 the lord of that servant will come in a day he will not expect, and in an hour he knoweth not,
৫০তবে যে দিন সে অপেক্ষা করবে না এবং যে মুহূর্তের আশা সে করবে না, সেই দিন ও সেই মুহূর্তে সেই দাসের মালিক আসবেন,
51 and will cut him asunder, and will assign him his portion with the hypocrites; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
৫১আর তাকে দুই খন্ড করে ভণ্ডদের মধ্যে তার স্থান ঠিক করবেন, সে সেই জায়গায় কাঁদবে ও দাঁতে দাঁত ঘষবে।
