Mark 4
1 And again he began to teach by the side of the sea. And great multitudes were assembled about him; so that he embarked and sat in a ship on the sea, and all the multitude stood on the land by the side of the sea.
Und er fing abermals an zu lehren am See; und es versammelte sich zu ihm viel Volks, so daß er in das Boot stieg, und auf dem See saß, aber der ganze Volkshaufe war auf dem Lande längst dem See.
2 And he taught them much by similitudes. And in his teaching, he said:
Und er lehrte sie viel in Gleichnissen, und sprach zu ihnen in seiner Lehre:
3 Hear ye: Behold a sower went forth to sow.
Höret! Siehe es ging ein Säemann aus zu säen.
4 And as he sowed, some seed fell on the side of the path; and a bird came, and devoured it.
Und es geschah, als er säete, fiel etliches an den Weg, und es kamen die Vögel, und fraßen es auf.
5 And other seed fell on a rock, so that it had not much earth; and it soon shot up, because it had no depth of earth.
Anderes aber fiel auf das Felsige, wo es nicht viel Erde hatte, und es ging bald auf, weil es nicht tiefe Erde hatte.
6 But when the sun was up, it wilted; and because it had no root, it dried up.
Und als die Sonne aufging, ward es versengt, und weil es nicht Wurzeln hatte, verdorrte es.
7 And other seed fell among thorns. And the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruits.
Und anderes fiel in die Dornen, und die Dornen schossen auf, und erstickten es, und es brachte keine Frucht.
8 And other seed fell on good ground, and came up, and grew, and yielded fruits; some thirty, some sixty, and some a hundred.
Und anderes fiel auf die gute Erde und brachte Frucht, die emporkam, und wuchs, und trug eins dreißig, eins sechzig, und eins hundertfältig.
9 And he said: Whoever hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Und er sprach: Wer Ohren hat zu hören, der höre!
10 And when they were by themselves, those with him, together with the twelve, asked him concerning this similitude.
Und als er allein war, frugen ihn die um ihn waren, mit den Zwölfen, um das Gleichnis.
11 And Jesus said to them: To you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to them without, all is in similitudes:
Und er sagte ihnen: Es ist euch gegeben, zu wissen das Geheimnis der Gottesherrschaft; jenen aber, die draußen sind, wird alles in Gleichnissen;
12 that when they see, they may see and not see, and when they hear, they may hear and not understand; lest they should be converted, and their sins be forgiven them.
Damit sie als Sehende sehen, und doch nicht erblicken, und als Hörende hören, und doch nicht verstehen, auf daß sie sich nicht bekehren, und ihnen die Sünden vergeben würden.
13 And he said to them: Do ye not understand this similitude? And how will ye understand all similitudes?
Und er sagt zu ihnen: Ihr versteht dieses Gleichnis nicht, und wie wollt ihr alle Gleichnisse begreifen?
14 The sower that sowed, sowed the word.
Der Säemann säet das Wort.
15 And those by the side of the path, are they in whom the word is sown; and as soon as they have heard it, Satan cometh, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.
Diese aber sind am Wege, wo das Wort gesäet wird, und wenn sie es gehört haben, kommt alsbald der Satan, und nimmt das Wort weg, das in ihren Herzen gesäet war. -
16 And those sown on the rock, are they who, when they hear the word, immediately with joy receive it.
Und diese sind gleicherweise die auf das Felsige gesäet sind, die, wenn sie das Wort hören, es alsbald mit Freuden aufnehmen,
17 And they have no root in them, but are temporary; and when there is affliction or persecution on account of the word, they are quickly stumbled.
Und haben nicht Wurzeln in sich, sondern sind unbeständig; hernach, wenn Trübsal, oder Verfolgung um des Wortes willen entsteht, so werden sie alsbald irre. -
18 And those sown among thorns, are they that hear the word,
Und andere sind die in die Dornen Gesäeten; diese sind, die das Wort hören,
19 and the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the residue of other lusts enter in and choke the word, and it is without fruits. (aiōn g165)
Und die Sorgen des Weltlaufs, und der Betrug des Reichtums, und die aufs übrige gerichteten Begierden dringen hinein, und ersticken das Wort, und es bleibt ohne Frucht. (aiōn g165)
20 And those sown on good ground are they that hear the word, and receive it, and bear fruits, by thirties, and by sixties, and by hundreds.
Und diese sind die auf das gute Land Gesäeten, welche das Wort hören, und nehmen es auf und tragen Frucht, eins dreißig, und eins sechzig, und eins hundertfältig.
21 And he said to them: Is a lamp brought to be placed under a bushel, or under a bed? Is it not to be placed on a light-stand?
Und er sagte ihnen: Zündet man auch eine Leuchte an, damit man sie unter den Scheffel setze, oder unter das Bett? Ist´s nicht, damit man sie auf den Leuchter setze?
22 For there is nothing hid, which will not be exposed; and nothing concealed, which will not be made manifest.
Denn nichts ist verborgen, das nicht offenbar werde, auch ist nichts verdeckt, das nicht an den Tag komme.
23 If any one have ears to hear, let him hear.
Wenn jemand Ohren hat zu hören, der höre!
24 And he said to them: Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye measure, it shall be measured to you: and there shall more be given to you who hear.
Und er sagt ihnen: Sehet zu, was ihr höret, Mit welchem Maße ihr messet, wird euch gemessen werden, und es wird euch, die ihr höret, hinzugetan werden.
25 For to him that hath, will more be given; and from him that hath not, even what he hath, will be taken from him.
Denn wer da hat, dem wird gegeben werden; und wer nicht hat, von dem wird auch, was er hat, hinweggenommen werden.
26 And he said: So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground,
Und er sagte: So ist die Gottesherrschaft, wie wenn ein Mensch den Samen auf das Land wirft,
27 and should sleep and rise, by night and by day, and the seed should grow an shoot up, he knoweth not how.
Und schläft und wacht, Nacht und Tag, und der Same sproßt und wächst, wie er selbst nicht weiß.
28 For the earth bringeth forth the fruit; first the plant, and subsequently the ear, and at last the complete wheat in the ear.
Selbsttätig bringt die Erde Frucht: zuerst das Gras, dann die Ähre, dann vollen Weizen in der Ähre.
29 And when the fruit is ripe, immediately cometh the sickle, because the harvest hath arrived.
Wann aber die Frucht es gestattet, so sendet er alsbald die Sichel, denn die Ernte ist da.
30 And he said: To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? and with what similitude shall we compare it?
Und er sagte: Wem wollen wir die Gottesherrschaft vergleichen? oder in welchem Gleichnis wollen wir sie abbilden?
31 It is like a grain of mustard seed which, when it is sown in the earth, is the least of all seeds sown on the earth;
Wie ein Senfkorn, welches wenn es aufs Land gesäet wird, kleiner ist, als alle Samen auf Erden;
32 and when it is sown it springeth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and produceth great branches, so that birds can lodge under its shadow.
Und wenn es gesäet worden ist, so steigt es auf, und wird größer, als alle Kräuter, und treibt große Zweige, so daß unter seinem Schatten die Vögel des Himmels wohnen können.
33 And by many such similitudes, similitudes such as they could hear, Jesus discoursed with the people.
Und in vielen derartigen Gleichnissen redete er das Wort, wie sie es hören konnten.
34 And without similitudes he did not converse with them: but to his disciples, between himself and them, he explained every thing.
Ohne Gleichnis aber redete er nicht zu ihnen. Aber wenn sie für sich waren, dann legte er seinen Jünger alles aus.
35 And he said to them, the same day at evening: Let us pass over to the other side.
Und er sagt ihnen an jenem Tage, da es Abend geworden war: Lasset uns hinüberfahren ans jenseitige Ufer.
36 And they sent away the multitudes: and they conducted him in the ship as he was. And there were also with him other little ships.
Und sie ließen den Volkshaufen, und nahmen ihn mit, wie er war, im Boot; es waren aber auch andere Boote mit ihm.
37 And there was a great tempest and wind: and the waves beat upon the ship, and it was near being filled.
Und es entsteht ein großer Sturmwind; die Wellen aber schlugen ins Boot, so daß es schon voll ward.
38 And Jesus was asleep on a pillow in the hinder part of the ship. And they came and awoke him, and said to him: Our Rabbi, carest thou not, that we perish?
Und er war im Hinterteil, und schlief auf dem Kopfkissen. Und sie weckten ihn auf, und sprachen zu ihm: Lehrer, kümmert´s dich nicht, daß wir umkommen?
39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea: Cease; be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
Und er stund auf, und bedrohte den Wind, und sprach zu dem See: Schweig! Verstumme! Und der Wind legte sich, und es ward eine große Windstille.
40 And he said to them: Why were ye so fearful? and why have ye not faith?
Und er sprach zu ihnen: Was seid ihr so furchtsam? Wie habt ihr keinen Glauben?
41 And they feared with great fear: and they said, one to another: Who is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!
Und sie fürchteten sich gar sehr, und sprachen zu einander: Wer ist dieser? daß auch der Wind und der See ihm gehorsam sind.
